I OWN NOTHING RELATED TO GILMORE GIRLS

"Why didn't you tell me you were proposing?" Honour yelled as she smacked Logan in the back of the head,

"OW," Logan cradled his head, "Help."

"Because he made such a big deal of it last time and I said no, he wanted it to just be intimate and the two of us."

"I'll accept that, for now." She warned Logan,

"Can we just pick up our daughter, you pregnant ninja." He slipped out of the room to go find Lena,

"Lemme see the ring again, that's beautiful."

"It was the same one, he kept it because he didn't want anyone else to have it." I smiled at the glistening diamond on my finger,

"Awe, my brother the romantic. I am so glad you said yes this time!"

"Me too," I smiled nervously at her,

"I'm not mad you know," she explained while she poured a glass of juice, "He did it all wrong, wrong time, wrong place. Just wrong. He should have done it at a book store, at the apartment you two shared while having breakfast in bed after you established your career. I told him all this after the fact."

"I'm sure that went over well."

"Not so much, got yelled at really. Luckily I burst into tears being pregnant and he apologized. Works every time," she smirked, "When you going to have another one?" I nearly choked on the juice I had a sip of

"I'm sorry?"

"Another baby." She rubbed her belly to emphasize her point,

"Um not any time soon." I took a sip of my juice,

"Yes, because crossing your legs works." She laughed and nodded at my legs, I rolled my eyes not even registering I had crossed my legs,

"I'm not ready to have another baby right now, I want Lena to be used to her parents being married let alone adjusting to being an older sister. I loved being an only child too and being so close to my Mom but then I see the relationship that you and Logan have and I so want that for her. I just don't know if I want that for her right now," I explained,

"You know Logan hates that he missed out on the first 3 years of Lena's life, he wants to have another baby. A chance to do it right,"

"That's not a good reason to bring a baby into this world. This is something I'd really rather discuss with Logan."

"Discuss what?" Logan asked, he came in the room with clips in his hair and Lena sitting on his shoulders,

"Mommy look how high I am!" she clapped her hands high on Logan's 5'10 frame,

"You are so high, I can't hug you!" I held my arms up to her and rested her on my hip, "Do you have a good time?"

"Yes! We stayed up until 10 o'clock!" she smiled,

"Wow, you're going to be very sleepy tonight." I kissed her cheek, "Why does Daddy have clips in his hair?"

"Because it's pretty." She smiled

"Good enough for me," Honour smirked as she bit into a strawberry,

"Me too, lets go." I packed up the rest of Lena's things and we loaded up Logan's Volvo and headed back home. Where as I sat and drank my coffee Logan dropped a mound of News Papers in front of me,

"My piece was that good?" I laughed as he handed me the paper,

"Of course, but that's not what these are for. House listings."

"Logan," I groaned,

"What? We're getting married, living together-officially- don't you think we should have a house?"

"We have a home right here, and we both work in the city Logan it doesn't make sense to move out of here."

"I know you've made a home here but what about in the future? What if we have another baby?"

"Why does everyone want me pregnant?" I was tempted to stamp my feet like a child but resisted,

"Whoa, I didn't mean right now and who else wants you pregnant?"

"Who else?"

"Who besides me is invested in what may or may grow inside you?"

"Honour wanted to know when I was due pretty much,"

"Are we pregnant?"

"No, but I love that you said we." I smiled at him, "But not now, not soon definetly not before the wedding."

"Who's having a wedding?" Lena asked, standing in the hallway with her Stanley raccoon doll,

"Mommy and Daddy are." Logan blurted out while I walked over to her and sat her down on a chair,

"Whats happening?" she asked,

"Remember I explained to you what married is?"

"Uh huh and Nana told me more, when two people love each other a whole lot they have a big celebration with their friends and their family and then the people stand in front of everyone and make promises to be together forever and they give each other rings. Then after everyone dances and has fun and they live together." She smiled swinging her feet as she looked at me,

"That was detailed, and fairly tame for Lorelai." Logan muttered to me, I smiled and smacked his knee,

"Did Nana tell you what engaged means?"

"One person gives the other person fancy rings." She smiled,

"Well that's close. It means that the people are promising to each other to get married. Daddy and I are engaged." I showed her my hand,

"Pretty," she smiles "So Daddy will always live here now?"

"Yep, Daddy is moving in and all of his stuff will be here now. Also this means that you get to be flower girl in the wedding. Nana will make you a really pretty dress."

"Yay!" she clapped her hands together, and hopped down off of her chair and hugged Logan, "Daddy's going to stay."

"I was always going to stay honey, no matter what happens in the world you are my little girl and I will always be there for you even if you're president of the United States I will always be your Dad and will always be there for you." He kissed the top of her head and smiled at me and mouthed 'thank you'. Thanking me for what I'm not quite sure but I'm guessing it's for letting him meet his daughter and get to know her, I want to thank him for giving me another chance at the life I always wanted but had never imagined before I saw Logan sitting in my bosses office just a few months ago. I had a chance at everything I ever wanted and I couldn't be happier.

"I just realized my Grandparents will find out." I blurted out while we were in line at Wendy's,

"Find out…?" Logan asked as he held Lena's hand,

"That we're getting married!" I gasped, "Oh my gosh your parents will find out too."

"Family does tend to be at these kind of shindigs." He chuckled,

"Why are you not more panicked?"

"Because you're freaked out enough for the both of us." He smirked as he went forward and ordered for himself and Lena and I ordered for myself,

"We don't have to invite my parents,"

"They could just crash it," I pointed out as we took our meals to a seat,

"Huntzburger's don't crash parties…well aside from me." He laughed as he laid out some napkins for Lena,

"Thank you Daddy," she smiled as she put her food out, "Why won't you invite Grandpa?"

"That's because Grandpa wasn't always very nice to Mom and Dad."

"Why?" she asked taking a bite of her French fry,

"No one knows," I answered for Logan, I wasn't going to get into the whole debacle and I defiantly wasn't going to drag a 3 year old into it.

"That's silly." She answered while opening up her toy that came with her meal,

"I want my Grandpa to be there and as much as they hate us I think your parents should be there too."

"They haven't reached out to us since dinner with my dad and that didn't go very well." Logan reminded me,

"I'm aware but maybe we could reach out to him?"

"Veto," Logan said in a tone that ended the conversation for now. I couldn't help but smile seeing how Logan interacted with Lena, helping her pour ketchup, helping her put together a toy that you probably need an engineer's degree to put together seeing him so simply fall into a role that less than a year ago I wouldn't even imagine being engaged to the love of my life, him being a father to our daughter…being a family.
