Gohan made his way towards the monster that was making all of their lives quite literally a living hell and he wasn't going to put up with it a moment longer. As he walked he focused all his energy and a familiar light surrounded his body before he easily ascended to super saiyan.

Everyone stood shocked at the young boy who was about to fight for all their sakes. He wore the same look of determination that his father wore before going into battle and for that moment Gohan looked like a miniature Goku.

Meanwhile Goku looked on proudly as his son went to fight the monster. This was Gohan's time to shine at last to show people just how powerful he truly was. Finally Gohan stood tall in front of his opponent with a deadly expression in his eyes.

"Are you ready to die boy?" Cell sneered.

"Are you?" Gohan replied in the same tone before getting into position.

It didn't take long for the battle to begin with Cell starting it by blinding Gohan with a solar flare catching the boy off guard. As Gohan's vision slowly returned to him, Cell hit him from behind with a cheap shot stunning him for a few seconds. Gohan fought back with a large energy blast sending the green monstrosity to go flying across the battle arena none the less pissing off his opponent.

Cell attacked the boy once more only to be thrown the other way when Gohan grabbed his arm and leg before spinning him around and sending Cell on his merry way. When Cell had finally managed to get up he looked over at his opponent who was taunting him by waving at him with a cheeky grin on his face. The monster was seeing red and was suddenly flying back into the fight to destroy the boy.

Everyone was impressed seeing Gohan standing his own, especially Goku but Nia and Piccolo knew better. They had known better than anybody else ever could and knew that even though he looked confident Gohan was scared. Scared of dying, being defeated and most of all not pleasing his father. This was why Nia hid under the rocks unnoticed by all the fighters, gathering all the power she could from wherever she could get it. Meanwhile Piccolo stood emotionless except for his concerned eyes watching the battle intensely.

"Looks like Gohan might win this one after all. Isn't that great Piccolo?" Yamcha said trying to be optimistic.

Piccolo only looked at him like if he didn't start walking away now he would kill, making the young fighter back away quickly with no sudden movements.

The battle continued and it seemed to be in Gohan's favor until Cell did yet another dirty trick and threw some of the desert sand at Gohan blinding him then blasted him. Cell was not liking how the tables had turned where he was the one being beaten and thought that had to change that very quickly. Suddenly Cell had the upper hand and Gohan was finding it more and more difficult to defend himself and it was getting more and more difficult to look in control in front of his father.

'He's doing fine I know he'll defeat Cell and then Gohan can be the hero that saves the day and get the recognition he deserves' while Goku assuring himself that his son was the best of the best.

Meanwhile as the saiyan stood proudly he was blind to the fact that Gohan was losing terribly and that he might not hold up much longer. Piccolo however couldn't watch this anymore and went over to Goku to end this now.

"Goku you need to intervene now. Please for Gohan's sake you need to end this," Piccolo said.

"Piccolo relax he's fine look at him out there he's great," he replied and as if on cue Cell plummeted the kid into the ground.

"Oh ya he's just dandy," he replied sarcastically.

"Goku he's getting weak he can't stay super saiyan much longer Cell will kill him," he explained desperately.

"No he won't Gohan is doing great. Come on son keep going you're doing great," he said cheering his son on who was currently being stepped over by Cell who laughed manically at him with a crazed look that scared him shitless.

'Dad help me please I don't want to die' Gohan thought struggling with all his might to break free.

Piccolo growled hearing the boy's thoughts ringing in his head, it was more than he could stand. Piccolo watched horrified as Cell lifted his student over his head and shot him in the air before flying up to him, kneeing him in the stomach.

"Goku I know better than most that Gohan is probably the strongest fighter in the world but he is also still an eleven year old boy who is scared out of his mind right now," Piccolo screamed in rage surprising the saiyan.

"Your son does not thirst for battle like we do! Do you want to know what he's thinking right now? He's wondering why his father isn't doing anything to stop Cell from killing him," he hissed at Goku relieved when he saw that it finally clicked in his head.

Goku was disgusted with himself as he turning from the battle in front of him to stare at Piccolo realizing that his son was still too young to be doing this. Suddenly he heard Gohan cry out in pain and looked to see Cell holding him by his arm which was held at a very odd angle.

'What have I done' the saiyan thought in his head as reality sunk into his head.

"Hold on son I'm coming, hold on!" Goku cried and was about to go save his son until he saw a flash of light.

Gohan had never felt so much pain before in his entire life until this moment and all he could hear or think about was Cell laughing knowing he was going to die. All he could do was close his eyes tightly and wait for it to be over with but something in him wasn't going to give up that easily and snapped. The boy's eyes shot open as his breath got heavier and out of nowhere a familiar light shone and blinded the two warriors. Before it could dissipate Cell felt the full force of Gohan punching him in the face launching him backwards catching him completely off guard.

Nia looked on shocked from her hiding place and tried harder to concentrate in gaining more power. She was so close she just needed a few more moments before she could go help her brother.

When Cell looked over to Gohan he saw him standing there with a true Vegeta like smile and at the same time looking severely pissed off.

Vegeta looked worried as he said," oh shit that's not good."

"Why? What's happening?" Goku asked concerned.

"Oh I don't know, could it be because his saiyan side took over and is ready to fight with a vengeance," he replied sarcastically still furious at Goku for sending Gohan out there in the first place.

The saiyan warrior knew then that he had to get to his son fast before he got himself killed with a saiyan's over confidence and with anger as his weapon. The idea of Gohan fighting like the monster his brother Raditz was made him scared for the boy...no that would not be his son but if he was going to fix anything he had to get to him now.

Gohan started forming a large attack in the palm of his hand and continued to let it grow bigger and bigger until it was almost larger than his body.

"GOHAN LET GO OF THE BLAST IF YOU LET IT GET ANY BIGGER YOU WILL DESTROY YOURSELF," Goku cried scared for his son in this state of mind.

"NO! IF I GO THAT'S FINE JUST AS LONG AS I TAKE HIM WITH ME," he said not noticing that Cell was making a blast of his own.

"Over my dead body," Goku mumbled to himself thinking fast.

However the warrior noticed Cell ready to attack Gohan and without thinking flew into the battle going behind Gohan to make him let go of the blast sending it straight at Cell. Then Goku flew as fast as he could towards Cell to stop him from firing his attack only to be hit along with Cell. As the light from the blast consumed both him and the monster Goku smiled knowing that he did everything he could to save his son.

It took a while for the smoke to clear but nothing remained of the blast except for a really big hole that convinced them all that there was no way the two of them could have survived the attack. In that moment Gohan snapped out of his attack mode and took a second to realise what it was that had just happened. In that moment they all took a moment to let the shock wear off but it was a moment too late to see Cell behind Gohan ready to attack the boy until a rumbling sound was heard.

"STAY AWAY FROM HIM YOU MONSTER," a voice said from above and then there hovered Nia in her Earth saiyan form with tears streaming down her face.

The others looked on in shock and amazement at Nia who looked as if she were made entirely of rock and hair made out of branches. Full of rage and sadness Nia sent a boulder to knock Cell away from Gohan before she quickly flew down to her brother to inspect his condition and concluded he could still fight.

"Gohan believe it or not but dad was right about this. You were meant to be the one to defeat Cell but we have to move quickly in order for this to work. I need you to gather as much power as you can possibly get to finish him off. He may be alive now but he can't take another hit like that trust me," she said putting a hand on his shoulder.

Gohan stared at his sister before shaking his head looking defeated before he replied, "Easier said than done. My arm is broken and I can't form a wave with him coming at me."

"Leave it to me bro I've got your back," she said with a wink before looking over to Vegeta with a smirk on her face.

"Should we show this pest how we play in our neighbourhood Vegeta," Nia said raising her power level in her Earth saiyan form.

Vegeta only smirked in response before cracking his neck. With a nod from Nia both the prince and princess of saiyans were attacking Cell without warning. Even Cell himself had been caught off guard when the pair were suddenly in front of him attacking him with everything they had.

Vegeta had gone into his super saiyan two form remembering his son's words as they trained in the time chamber. The boy had showed him how to take his emotions and use it to fuel his power so he could think clearly in a fight.

'I will make this freak pay for every drop of pain he caused my son' the saiyan prince thought maliciously.

Using his big bang attack Vegeta managed to knock Cell off of his feet catching the creature off guard. The saiyan prince then proceeded to pound his son's murderer's face before grabbing both of Cell's shoulders and slamming his knee into his stomach.

The force of the kick was so strong that Cell fell back to the ground in a coughing fit, the coughing became so violent that the monster started to gag. Vegeta watched on in delight until it looked like Cell was throwing up and Vegeta had to back away in disgust.

Nineteen who had been watching the battle from the cliffs looked on in wonder as Cell began throwing up what looked like all of his insides. As the android got a good look he gasped in amazement when he saw both Seventeen and Eighteen lying on the ground unconscious. Without thinking twice Nineteen flew in to the battle to scoop up the pair before landing over beside the z fighters. All of the warriors of Earth looked shocked to see the large quiet android looking relieved to see his unconscious friends otherwise unharmed.

Krillen hesitantly approached the androids in an unthreatening manner feeling determined to make sure that the blond android was alright. When Nineteen suddenly shot his head up staring right at him Krillen put his hands up in surrender.

"I just wanna knows she's ok," Krillen said gently.

After a moment the red headed android nodded his head in approval. Krillen smirked as he put his hands down before hastily making his way to Eighteen's side to check her over.

The monster quickly got up and growled in rage when he realized he had lost a dramatic amount of power. With his eyes targeted on the saiyan prince he attacked Vegeta using his fists to try and take down his smaller opponent. The saiyan prince quickly dodged and blocked all of the oncoming blows with his trademark smirk.

"What are you smiling about you pathetic creature?" Cell demanded.

Vegeta only chuckled and took a step back as a large dark shadow loomed over Cell. The creature looked up to see Nia in her Earth form floating beside a large boulder that hung over her head. The girl raised her arms over her head making the large rock formation rise and then she dropped her arms sending the boulder flying on top of Cell.

"Well…shit," Cell said before the boulder landed on top of him.

Unfortunately for Cell Nia wasn't done with him and repeated the process of raising and slamming the large boulder on top of him over and over like a sledgehammer. On the final blow when she was certain she had flattened the creature Nia began to grind the large rock into the ground in the hopes of turning Cell's bones to dust.

Satisfied with her work Nia sent the boulder flying away before changing her form into a fire saiyan. With no emotion on her face at all she raised her hand to the sky and sent a storm of fireballs onto what was left of Cell.

"Over kill much?" Vegeta teased his younger sister who only glared back with a literal fiery stare.

…

The other z fighters stared on in horror processing what they had just seen the young saiyan girl do. All present made a mental note to never ever, ever, ever, ever piss that girl off.

Piccolo chuckled at their reactions and proud of his student for her ability to control her power so well.

"Wow…so that's it then Nia obliterated Cell," Yamcha said in amazement.

"Don't be deceived. You forget that he has the cells of Nameks flowing through his disgusting body," Piccolo replied waiting for the inevitable.

The other fighters looked confused for a minute before Krillen realized what he was talking about and his face paled as a look of horror crossed his face.

"You can't mean-"

Before Krillen could finish, the ash that once was Cell's body started moving and slowly turning from black to green.

Both Nia and Vegeta looked disturbed to see Cell slowly regenerating himself back into his perfect form. Nia dared to look over her shoulder at her brother who had barely enough energy to stand let alone make a powerful enough blast to take out Cell. Thinking fast the saiyan princess came up with a plan before turning to Vegeta looking determined.

"Think you can handle Cell for a minute? I have a plan," Nia said.

Vegeta stared at her suspiciously before he reluctantly nodded and turned back to Cell who was almost fully regenerated.

"Whatever you're planning do it quickly. We have little time," Vegeta said.

With a nod Nia quickly flew off and landed in front of Gohan who looked completely defeated. Seeing her brother that way broke Nia's heart but she wouldn't let him fail if she could help it.

"Gohan you need to hang in there. You are the only one who can do this," Nia said grabbing on to Gohan's good arm.

"I've got nothing left in me to give Nia…I'm not powerful enough to defeat him I don't have the strength," Gohan admitted ashamed.

"You are the most powerful fighter here big brother. If you don't step up now then you've sentenced us all to death," Nia said in her 'do not argue with me' tone.

Nia noticed she got a small reaction from Gohan when he looked up at her fearfully and added in a more encouraging tone, "Everyone knows you can do this. I know you can do this…I know it so much I'm gonna do something really, really stupid."

Gohan looked up at his sister who wore a confident look on her face and immediately felt a sense of dread in his gut.

"Nia wha-"

Before Gohan could ask what she was going to do he felt her hands on his face and burst of energy consume his entire body. He realized that his little sister was giving him all of her strength and energy that he needed to defeat Cell.

Vegeta felt it instantly and felt his stomach drop at the thought of what his sister had just done. The saiyan prince had been giving everything he had to distract the monster from Nia and her plan. After sending a big bang attack at Cell he knew he had a short window of time to get to his sister before Cell bounced back.

Flying like a bat out of hell Vegeta managed to make it across to where the other young saiyans were. He found Gohan radiating with power, his face a mixture of rage and concern towards the girl in his arms. Nia was motionless after transferring all of her power and energy into Gohan.

"Give her to me boy. You have a battle to fight," Vegeta said trying not to sound shocked by the boy's power.

Reluctantly the younger saiyan handed the girl gently into the saiyan prince's arms still looking unsure of what he was about to do.

"He killed your father boy, he wants to kill all you know and love. Show him what happens when you piss of a true saiyan warrior," Vegeta said in a tone that would have made King Vegeta proud.

With that said Vegeta took his sister and flew off to join the others when he noticed Cell was ready for battle.

Cell was in awe as he felt the power resonating off of the boy in front of him. He was absolutely certain that he did not feel that there before.

'Where is all this power coming from this is impossible...no matter I will still destroy the boy' Cell thought confident of his victory as he walked over casually towards the boy forming a small ball of energy.

Gohan was trying to prepare to fight and not cry at the same time which was proving rather difficult for the young man. He knew what he had to do but he was still scared feeling like he couldn't do it alone, and it didn't that he couldn't use his one arm to make the blast. Without his arm or his family supporting him, Gohan's was beginning lose all hope which made him just want to give up.

"Since when have you ever been a quitter I wonder that you would let something like this get to you son?"

Gohan heard his father's voice in his head which put him into immediate shock.

"Dad?" he whispered to the air making sure he hadn't gone crazy.

"It's alright son I'm here. You have to keep fighting Gohan, you can do this. The Kamehameha wave is the only way to defeat him," Goku said.

"Dad I can't do this I'm too weak and with one arm I can't pull of the attack properly," he said in the same monotone voice as before with completely no confidence in himself.

"Son don't say that I believe in you! With your power and Nia's strength backing you up, you have the ability to defeat Cell...don't forget I'm here to so please let us help you. We'll defeat Cell as a family the way it should be," Goku said desperate to get through to his son.

'I'm in. Give him hell bro' Nia's voice said somewhere in Gohan's mind and the boy smiled feeling the presence of his family giving him more confidence

"Are you done talking to yourself boy, maybe I should put you out of your misery boy we'll end this now," Cell sending his blast straight at Gohan

"GOHAN WATCH OUT," Piccolo screamed to his pupil.

Gohan didn't even flinch at the sound of his teacher's voice. In fact he made it seem as if he didn't even hear him as a small ball of energy formed in his hand. Gohan felt the power of his father and sister aiding him but he felt something else as well. It felt like something in him popped releasing electricity throughout his body. Slowly the ball grew larger and larger, developing the different elements of fire, air, water and earth around it making even more powerful than Goku's original attack.

The spirits of Goku and Nia stood proudly behind Gohan with their bodies in position to perform the Kamehameha wave. When Cell was exactly where he wanted him the 11 year old smiled before shooting the largest blast he had ever formed at the homicidal green monster causing Cell to scream in pain.

"No this is impossible I'm the perfect being! I am invincible!" Cell said before his body burned away into nothingness and all the world was silent in those moments.

Suddenly Gohan was free to fall to his knees and freely cry his tears for his father until at last he had worn himself out and fell into someone's arms. Gohan looked up to see Piccolo who he didn't even notice coming over.

"You did well Gohan. I'm proud of you," Piccolo whispered to the boy as he fell asleep in his arms.

Piccolo ran his fingers through the child's hair as Gohan sobbed in his sleep for his lost father. The Namek pulled the boy tighter to his chest protectively as he flew to the other z fighters. He noticed Vegeta carrying Nia while he trusted Yamcha to carry the body of Trunks. Krillen held Eighteen and stood by Nineteen who held android Seventeen. Together they flew to the lookout where they knew the dragonballs had already been gathered by Oolong and Yajirobe.

Hercule woke up to an empty battlefield with no Cell in sight. He got up and looked around him in shock until he heard the grunts of the film and camera crew who were knocked out cold during the fight. The camera man turned his camera back on and turned to the reporter who only looked to Hercule for answers.

"Hercule did you see what happened?" he asked confused and dazed.

"Why...yes of course I mean I couldn't have killed Cell without witnessing it of course," he gloated posing for the cameras, smiling like an idiot and of course the world believed it.
