Chapter 38: Mole's Journey
Today is my birthday! And I am very happy to upload a chapter right on my birthday!
Fanfict: Lily is a very determined player, and her pride never let her down… She could be the most confident player in the entire game… I should say.
The camera went back to Monty and the players.
"Welcome back!" Monty welcomed, "We just viewed how Lily, our winner, played her game, and now, we are going to view the Mole's game."
"I know that your strategy changed during episode 7." Lily laughed.
Steven nodded, "I was playing the weak and naïve card at the start… But then at episode 7 I realized that I must change, because people are going to get suspicious of me because I'm way not confident enough by that point. So after that card busted, I changed like the most of you."
Lily nodded in reply, "I changed my strategy halfway… After Jenny's execution I decided that I cannot be as forceful so I went to being picky."
Jenny laughed in reply, "I think everyone in the final 6 busted one card that they are playing and went to another card after the halfway mark, but I never really got to do much though after I changed cards from mysterious to trying hard."
"Look at the TV!" Vivian said, "It's starting!"
STEVEN'S GAME:
Steven: Hi there! I know that all of the others are trying to find someone, someone in this group of 12. And that person would be me.
Entering the game, Steven decided that he'll stay in the back and play the naïve card.
However a certain toadette ruined his first plan by forcing 3 nervous players to jump during the first mission.
Flashback Vivian: Now the three of you, jump!
Steven: I know that there is no way that I can get out of this, as Vivian really tries hard to win the money while the others just completely agree with her. So I decided to get this over with.
He fainted after his jump, however he actually faked it, which is a clue to the players that will be revealed later on.
As soon as he got on a chair, a surprise is in store for him.
Flashback Parker: Would you be interested in a coalition?
Steven: I did not expect someone to ask me for a coalition this early, and that's that. I cannot trust him yet so I did not agree.
After receiving their journals, Steven decided to make a move that might help him to gain Parker's trust.
Steven: I wrote my journal down as a player, and I'm alright with sharing any bits of it with anyone, you would say this isn't a good move for the players, however as the Mole showing the others your journal that you wrote down as a player will let their guard down around you.
Soon, the first execution came, and the unfortunate player, Nicole, was executed.
Nicole: I don't think Steven is the Mole, he is too naïve and weak for that stuff.
EXECUTED: NICOLE
Moving on to episode 2, Vivian became a large suspect of everyone, thanks to Steven's sabotage during the last mission.
Parker: I hope Steven can trust me soon or I'm going to be as clueless as ever, but my suspicion really lies on Vivian.
Steven: I decided to form a coalition because I'm thinking ahead, I know that I'm playing the naïve card right now and is not able to stop it so I need an excuse to why I made it far, such as I have a coalition partner.
After convincing Parker to not vote for Vivian, Steven is faced with another trouble when Vivian had her confession.
Vivian: I would not like to lose any money in the pot, if there's an exemption offer, I'm not going to take it, if I'm going to win, I would like to win because of my abilities, not because of an exemption.
Steven: I know that I cannot blame Vivian anymore because she is making it pretty clear and would like to play a genuine game, I respect that so I went onto someone else to blame, or maybe I'll just create messes and run away without cleaning it up…
As his uncertainty goes, he made his first sabotage that is obvious during the final mission of the episode.
Flashback Steven: … Luigi?
This got some people to suspect him, Vivian being at the top with her suspicion. Then it came, the execution.
Evan: Vivian is the Mole because she is writing to me in very weird style and I know that she is up to something not good.
EXECUTED: EVAN
In the third episode, Steven didn't do much besides sabotage and finding a way to try to help Parker through.
Steven: Great, just great, I'm in trouble now, I don't want Parker to be executed OR know that I'm the Mole. I think I just got myself into a dead end. UGH!
However a bad thing came when he hear what did the others say during their confessions, he would rethink a way to get through his sabotages. And this made Parker, who he spends the most time with, getting a bit fishy about it.
Flashback Steven, start of episode 2: Katty seemed too cheerful, I think an innocent image is what the Mole wants the players to have.
Katty: As a cheer girl who is the cheerleader of Star Heaven team besides her florist job, I want to bring light to the players!
Steven: Now there's an explanation for Katty, plan changing time... Again.
Flashback Steven, end of episode 2: You know, Katty seemed pretty genuine, how about Flona? She is pretty optimistic, so she seemed pretty fake, you know.
Parker: I do not get what Steven said one bit, how did he pass two quizzes while changing suspects all the time?
At the end of episode 3, Steven is still pretty blind on how to play the game, besides sabotaging pretty well so far.
Steven: After execution 3, I know I'll spend a night trying to figure out my suspects and everything else, I will not let everyone on the crew down.
Katty: Steven? Never considered him, too nice and naïve, I guess.
EXECUTED: KATTY
Episode 4 is approaching, and he figured out a way to put suspicion off himself, earning an exemption or a plus 1. Even though the game isn't designed by him, he is still in luck.
Steven: There is a clue here about the plus 1 I will soon receive, and I'm happy about this and I decided that I'll tell everyone my prime suspects are Flona and Jenny, not changing all the time like before.
(Flashback of Steven smiling and sliding the envelope onto the dining table as he watched Hammer being taken out, he soon went back to his room quietly and pretended that he just woke up.)
This episode, Allen was fooled by Lily, so nothing really happened besides sabotaging and playing to his best.
Flashback Steven: Parker, I have considered it, Flona and Jenny, they are way too suspicious right now, so I'm having suspicion on them. *Parker nods and rolled his eyes*
Allen: Lily and I made a deal, the money is mine, and the extra 10000 coins won't hurt, right?
Steven: Nice job Lily, Allen actually got onto me a bit then, thank you for eliminating him.
EXECUTED: ALLEN
With one of the strongest players gone, Steven's weak and naïve card still is in play, not having any sign of busting yet. However during Cars Race Parker's suspicion on Steven increased by another decent amount.
Flashback Steven: Maybe this will help… *Parker looked shocked as Steven took out the box of pins*
Flona: Seriously? Pins? During a mission? It's a bit hard to believe that.
Parker: I know that Steven's being suspicious lately, maybe… Maybe he really is the actual Mole. Sometimes I can't help but to think, whatever… At least we both get exemptions…
(Flashback of Steven wasting time on purpose as he seemed like to understand the picture)
Steven: In the end, I wasted more time than enough for the others to find all of the chickens, and no one even suspected me because of Frank, go me!
Parker decided to trust Steven one last time, which resulted in his possible elimination, however his exemption prevented that from happening, and the next lowest scorer is none other than our unlucky victim.
Andy: I don't think Steven is the Mole because he really seemed to try his hardest, despite being a bit suspicious sometimes, he is pretty genuine, to me at least.
EXECUTED: ANDY
With the halfway mark coming up, Steven is relieved to hear a confession.
Parker: I think Steven is pretty suspicious, maybe I'll vote for him this episode…
Steven: Finally, not he will probably not get executed, because if he did before the final 5, people will think that I'm the Mole because my coalition partner is the one executed.
He also made a great sabotage this time, during the golf mission.
Steven: I failed the mission on purpose because… Well, I really don't want to win, duh, it's my job to lose, I think.
Kooper: I cannot help but to think that Steven isn't being as good as before, he's usually a bit better than this, at least if he is like before he'll get 10 less swings today, maybe he is suffering from something. Like a cold or something…
He successfully drifted Flona and Jenny's suspicions away, which allowed the coalition partners to tie, and the one with the longer time will be executed.
Flona: Steven? Please stop joking, both Jen and I think that Steven is pretty genuine, he's nice and weak, not to mention very naïve, so he'll be a train wreck by now if he's the Mole.
Steven: I'm looking at Flona's face during the execution when we are the only ones left, she looked pretty confident for a red screen, I couldn't help but to laugh inside and feel a bit sorry for her, because I already know she's going.
EXECUTED: FLONA
As Vivian, Parker, Frank and Lily's suspicion on Steven started to tighten a little bit, Steven couldn't help but to tell one thing.
Steven: Vivian… She's very smart, I think I have to start getting her to not suspect me as much as before.
Flashback Steven: Do you think Lily is suspicious? I mean she really is sabotaging, her sabotages of the pot is a landslide compared to everyone else.
Flashback Vivian: Hmm… I'll consider it. *Toadette smiled as she didn't say a word*
Toadette: I'm pretty convinced that Lily is the Mole since I came, and now I'm even sure of it.
With that, Steven returned to his room, not knowing will it cause Vivian to suspect Lily or suspect him even more.
Flashback Kooper: You okay?
Flashback Steven: Yeah, I'm fine. Don't worry about me.
Kooper: Oh boy, the stress really seems to be getting into him, I think I need to cheer him up as soon as this game finishes. As the watchers at the side I really think that the players are experiencing 100 times more stress than us.
Jenny: Flona was executed last time, however she was pretty uncertain, no offence to her, but I'm pretty certain and clear about my suspicions, if the Mole got me, they did well on tricking me.
EXECUTED: JENNY
As Vivian shook a little with her solid suspicion on Steven, Toadette seemed really convinced that Lily is the Mole, and this time when the friends need to take the quiz, nothing changed.
Vivian: I think that I'm really struggling on this, I'm the only one not in a coalition so far… I must try to collect myself, but I can't… I hope something good will turn out, not something bad.
Steven: Poor Vivian, I feel pretty guilty for the thing that caused her to shake last episode, maybe this will be her downfall. Toadette seemed to suspect Lily the most, I think that Vivian's the next to go, the other three is defiantly basing their quizzes on me at this point.
Toadette: Lily is the Mole, Lily is the Mole. Haha! This will be SO easy!
Vivian: I hope Toadette will do good today, if she didn't, I will not blame her, I'm pretty confused at this point as well, I came from a power player to a weak player, I really regret overthinking everything now.
EXECUTED: VIVIAN
Final four, all the genuine players onto Steven, the Mole knew that he cannot change any of their suspicions now.
Steven: They know that I'm the Mole, but I'm not giving away myself or anything. This is the job as the Mole, not to give your identity away under any conditions.
He showed Frank his player wrote journal, which is nothing, really. However he showed it because he wanted to fool the audiences for one last time, thinking that he is a genuine player.
Steven: Maybe this tactic of showing my journal will help me, somehow with not giving my identity away to the viewers.
Frank: Steven showed me his journal, but I don't think he is trying to confuse me, everyone knows that he's the Mole now out of the players, timing and accuracy on the quiz is everything, and by that, literally everything.
Not planning to change anyone's suspicion now, Steven remained quiet for the rest of the episode, maybe sabotaging a little bit as the players gathered around together in the elevator by luck.
Flashback Lily, Frank & Parker: Steven is the Mole! *Cheering*
Steven: Yes, they defiantly know that I'm the traitor at this point, I'm not going to say anything, if they want to stay, it's their own success on the quiz.
Frank: Like I said before, timing and accuracy is everything, and I hope I'll do good.
EXECUTED: FRANK
In the final episode, Steven sabotaged the three questions game, but was later confronted by Lily afterwards.
(Flashback)
Lily: Mole.
Steven: Yes Lily?
Lily: You can't fool me, you are the Mole.
Steven: You must have misunderstood, please, I'm not-
Lily: You can never fool me! Mole!
Steven: Umm… You… UGH! *Walks away*
(End Flashback)
Steven: She doesn't have to be like that, I would prefer her to stay quiet and do whatever she likes instead on confronting me. But that's okay, my only other comment is that she is very confident.
Not planning to sabotage, Steven tried his hardest in the final mission, having the mind as a player.
Steven: I found out that playing as a player really is much better than suffering from the stress of the Mole! But the Mole is also really fun! This is an experience that I will never forget.
Flashback Steven, Lily & Parker: May the best player win!
END GAME
All the players clapped for the Mole.
"Thank you." The traitor of the group laughed.
Monty smiled, "And that is that, next time when we come back we will find out how Steven sabotaged and how many clues that pointed to him appeared during the game." The camera zoomed out.
Finished! Managed to finish it on my birthday! My game on my birthday! Yay! XD *Shot*
