Chapter 39: Recurring Nightmare

Back at the medical room, Command Knight, Marauding Captain and General Freed was keeping their eyes on the still-sick Jillian who wasn't doing any better since Solomon left.
General Freed sighed sadly and replied, "I don't think those pills are working with her."
Command Knight nodded and replied, "I think you're right, sir. This isn't looking good for her at all."
Suddenly, the gang came in and Johnny replied, "Are the pills working?"
Command Knight then replied, "Afraid not, my young friend."
Johnny then replied, "Jillian, stay strong."
Dark Vegan walked over to his fallen daughter and he replied, "Honey, please came back to us. I need you and I love you. You're the best thing in my life since toast. Please, come back to us."
General Freed then replied, "This might be the end for the girl."
Dark Vegan then replied, "Did she take 3 of the pills with water?"
Genral Freed then replied, "Yes she did."
Dark Vegan sighed and replied, "I don't know what the heck to do then."
Suddenly, tears came out of Johnnys eyes and he replied, "Jillian, come back to us, girl. We need ya and we don't want to lose a ally and a friend."
Sissy then replied, "It'll be okay, honey. She'll make it through okay."
Command Knight then replied, "I'll watch her doing the night tonight and let you all know if anything changes about her."
Johnny then replied, "Thank you."
Dark Vegan then replied, "I'll be here too."
Mary then replied, "We'll head for the next meal now and then go to bed."

Back at the arena, Jack was wondering about what was going on with Jillian.
Jack then replied, "That is so weird. I hope she makes it through."
Witty Phantom then replied, "With one less person to worry about, it helps."
Jack looked at him and replied, "One more comment like that and you'll be banished!"
The fiend gulped and replied, "Yes, sir."
Jack then replied, "I want to beat them, but not if we act like this!"
The fiend nodded and replied, "Understand, sir."
Jack then replied, "Are they heading towards the porta?"
Witty Phantom then replied, "They will as soon as Jillian's condition improves, sir."
Jack then replied, "I have no control of any of the monsters in that dimension! Its pure evil in there!"
Witty Phantom then replied, "They're in trouble then."
Jack then replied, "We'll see soon enough."

That next morning in the medical room, Command Knight was still watching over Jillian. Dark Vegan was sleeping on a nearby couch.
Command Knight sighed sadly and replied, "Jillian, stay strong. Your friends need you, girl."
As she turned around, Jillian suddenly opened her eyes and she lifted her head up and she replied, "Command Knight?"
The knight looked at her and she gasped and replied, "You're back with us!"
Jillian then replied, "It tooks at least 12 to 16 hours for the pills to take effect and I feel so much better now. I can't believe I beat Obelisk in a duel!"
Command Knight then replied, "Most of our warriors can't believe that at all."
Jillian then repleid, "Is Dukey back to normal?"
The warrior then replied, "Yep, he's back to his normal bacon-loving self."
Jillian saw her dad and replied, "When did he get here?"
Command Knight then replied, "After his duel with Johnny and Johnny won the duel."
Jillian then replied, "Awesome. Hey, DAD!"
Suddenly, Dark Vegan woke up quickly and he saw his daughter and replied, "Jillian, you're okay!"
Jillian then replied, "I sure am."
Vegan walked to her and he hugged her and replied, "I'm glad to have you back to normal, baby girl."
Jillian smiled and replied, "Glad to be back, daddy."

That next day, Jillian was feasting on some toast and pancakes in the mess hall.
Jilian smiled and replied, "Dad would love these pancakes."
Suddenly, the doors opened up and the gang walked into the room and Johnny gasped and replied, "Jillian?"
Jillian smiled to her friends and replied, "Hey, gang."
Dukey then replied, "Thank you for saving me, girl."
Jillian nodded and replied, "Anytime, Dukey."
Susan then replied, "We're back to normal now."
Dark Vegan came in and he replied, "I'm glad for that too."
Jillian then replied, "Me and dad are going to stay in the village for now, guys."
Johnny looked at Vegan and replied, "No trying to destroy me, Vegan!"
The evil master sighed and replied, "Fine, Test."
General Freed then replied, "You got the key for the dimension, Vegan?"
Vegan then replied, "Its in the main area, Freed. I never locked it."
Johnny then replied, "We need to go for that card, guys. Lets go."
Sissy then replied, "I'm ready if everyone else is!"
Susan then replied, "My machines are ready to go!"
Mary then replied, "Lets kick some ass!"
Suddenly, the gang turned around and left the room and General Freed sighed and replied, "Good luck, kids."

about 45 minutes later, the gang was outside of a black energy portal that would lead them to the darkness.
Mary then replied, "Its now or never."
Sissy sighed and replied, "We need someone to watch the portal just in case, guys."
Johnny then replied, "Who should?"
"I'll do the honors, children.", a nearby voice said.
They turned around and it was a warrior with a mighty shield and was wearing a cape and he had a duel disk on his arm and he replied, "I'm Gagaga Gardna and I'll do the best I can to keep it safe. General Freed sent me here as well,."
Susan then replied, "Good to hear, Gardna."
Gardna nodded and replied, "It'll be my honor to help you all out."
Johnny then replied, "Lets go!"
The kids ran into the portal and Gardna then replied, "Good luck, my friends."

Back at the mansion, Jack was enjoying french toast and bacon for his breakfast.
Witty Phantom appeared and he replied, "Those runts just entered the area, sir!"
Jack then replied, "If they lose even one duel in that dimension, they will keep them there for the rest of their pathetic lifes!"
Witty Phantom then replied, "You want them to win?"
Jack sighed and replied, "Yes and no."
Witty Phantom then replied, "This feels odd to me."
Jack then replied, "Lets hope this goes okay for them."

Suddenly under a pitch-black sky with a red moon, the gang arrived in a area that dead trees and red grass everywhere and then the portal opened up and the gang came out of it and Sissy looked around and replied, "This is reallty scaring me!"
Johnny then replied, "We need to know where the last planet monster is, gang!"
"I can help you out, you fools!", a voice was heard behind them and they turned around and a boney red-eyed fiend appeared (ATK: 1,100).
Johnny then replied, "Desrook Archfiend!"
The fiend laughed and replied, "I'm the only and only, you damn mortals! What are you here?"
Susan then replied, "We need the final Legendary Planet monster!"
Desrook then replied, "A member of my army has it and I won't tell who or give you any idea to where they are unless you beat me in a duel!"
Dukey then replied, "I'll duel you!"
Desrook laughed and replied, "I accept your duel!"
Both activated their duel disks and drew 5 cards.
"Game on!", both yelled out.
(Desrook Archfiend LP: 8000 - Dukey LP: 8000)
Desrook Archfiend drew a card and replied, "I'll set a monster and that'll end my turn."
Dukey drew a card and replied, "Toy Magician, come on out!"
As he sat the card down, the plastic wizard appeared (ATK: 1,600).
"Attack his facedown monster!"
The wizard fired a burst of light from its scepter and a Skelengel appeared on the card (DEF: 400) And was blown into shards as the attack struck and the fiend drew a card.
"Okay..then. I end my turn now."
Desrook Archfiend drew a card and replied, 'I summon the mighty Fabled Ashenveil!"
As he sat the card down, a muscular fiend of light with two wings appeared (ATK: 1,700).
Susan then replied, "Fabled monsters?"
Johnny sighed and replied, "If he is using this kind of deck, then Dukey is in huge trouble!"
"He is right. Now, I use his ability! I send 1 card in my hand to the graveyard and then he gains 600 attack points! Attack!"
As he discarded a monster called Fabled Krus to his graveyard, the fiend began to glow and it flew and smashed Toy Magician to pieces with one hard punch (Dukey LP: 8000 - 7400).
Desrook Archfiend laughed and replied, "This is way too easy! I end my turn now,."
Dukey drew a card and replied, "I'll set a monster and that'll end my turn."
Desrook Archfiend drew a card and replied, "I summon my Fabled Grimro!"
As he the card down, a female fiend with black feathers appeared (ATK: 1,700).
"I'll enjoy this! Ashenveil, attack!"
The fiend went and a Giant Rat appeared on the card (DEF: 1,450) and the fiend punched it, blowing it to pieces and then a 2nd rat appeared (ATK: 1,700).
"Grimro, attack!"
The fiend launched a wave of black feathers and they stabbed into the beast, blowing it to pixels (Dukey LP: 7400 - 7100) and a 3rd rat appeared (ATK: 1,400).
"Not matter what you send my way, I'll destroy it! I'll set a card and that'll end my turn now."
Dukey drew a card and replied, "I activate Enemy Controller!"
Suddenly, Ashenviel knelt (DEF: 1,200).
"I now tribute my 3rd Rat for my Toy Emperor!"
As the monster vanished, the wooden warrior appeared (ATK: 2,300).
"I now play Double Summon for my Aye-Iron!"
As he sat the card down, the cymbol playing machine appeared (ATK: 1,600).
"Emperor, attack!"
The warrior went and slashed with his sword and Grimro exploded into a burst of black feathers (Desrook Archfiend LP: 8000 - 7400).
Dukey took a trap card from his deck and replied, "Now Aye-Iron attacks!"
The toy swung its cymbals and produced a shockwave that shot and struck its target, blowing the remaining Fabled monster into particles.
"There you go. I'll set a card facedown and that'll end my turn."
Desrook Archfiend drew a card and replied, "I activate my facedown Dust Tornado!"
The trap flipped up and Dukey's facedown Toy Barrier lifted up and shattered to bits.
"Thought so. I summon my Fabled Raven!"
As he sat the card down, a wicked-looking fiend appeared (ATK: 1,300).
"I discard 2 cards to give it 800 ATK and two more levels!"
Suddenly, it began to glow (ATK: 1,300 - 2,100).
"Since I Discarded my Fabled Krus, I can select 1 Level 4 or lower Fabled monster from my hand and special summon it and I Choose my Grimro!"
Suddenly, the fiendish black-feathered woman appeared with a evil smile (ATK: 1,700).
"I now tune my 2 monsters!"
Fabled Raven suddenly split apart into four white stars, with each one transforming into a green virtual ring. The two rings went through Fabled Grimro, which transformed into four white stars. As this process occurred, Desrook Archfiend began to chant:
"A mighty general of the Netherworld comes forth and smashes his rivals with his power of the light. Banished for seeking perfection, this mighty fiend of light will blast everyone that tries to stop him away! Synchro Summon! Come forth..Fabled Valkyrus!"
"Another demonic fallen angel covered in armor appeared with a mighty laugh (ATK: 2,900).
Dukey gulped and replied, "Damn, damn, damn!"
Johnny then replied, "This sucks right now!"
Desrook Archfiend laughed and replied, "I have to tell you all this right now. If you lose a duel in this realm, you're our prisoner forever! Even if the rest of your team wins a duel, you will not be able to ever, ever leave!"
Dukey then replied, "That doesn't help much at all!"
Susan then replied, "These Fabled monster could work with the Dark World army of monsters!"
Desrook Archfiend laughed and replied, "Those patheric wanabes? They are horrible monsters and they are not allowed in this dimension! Where are supposed to beat them in a duel and then banish them if they are found at all! Back to our duel. I discard 1 card to draw a card!"
As he discarded a card, he drew one and then he replied, "Since I Discarded a Fabled Furrie its summoned to my field and I Choose defense postion!"
Suddenly, a small winged fiend appeared (DEF: 200).
"Now, attack your toy!"
Suddenly, a sword made of golden energy flew and he went and struck with his sword, cutting the kangaroo toy cleanly in two. The two pieces shattered into bits (Dukey LP: 7400 - 5900).
Desrook Archfiend laughed and replied, "This is way too easy! I end my turn now."
Dukey drew a card and replied, "I switch my Emperor to defense and then I'll set a new card monster facedown and that'll end my turn."
Desrook Archfiend drew a card and replied, "I now summon The Fabled Kokkator!"
As he sat the card down, a freaky-looking chicken-like beast appeared (ATK: 1,700).
Susan then replied, "Creepy."
Mary then replied, "It reminds of that Cockatrice creature."
"Lets do it. Valkyrus, attack!"
the wicked fiend flew in and struck with his sword, blowing Toy Empeor into little pieces.
"Kokkator, attack that facedown monster!"
The beast let out a screech and a Card Trooper appeared on the card (DEF: 400) and it shattered into little pieces of metal and then Dukey drew a card.
"I'd use its ability, but I don't have a card to use it with. I end my turn now."
Dukey drew a card and replied, "I activate Toy Revival!"
Suddenly, a Toy Magician appeared (ATK: 1,600).
"Toy Rabbit, appear now!"
As he sat the card down, the pink-furred toy rabbit appeared (ATK: 1,600).
"I now special summon my Toy Truck!"
As he sat the card down, the large truck toy appeared (ATK: 1,000).
"I now overley my 3 monsters!"
The 3 monsters turned into red orbs and a portal opened up, which the orbs flew into.
"With these monsters, I construct the Overlay Network and Xyz Summon! Appear Now...Toy Green Dragon!"
As he sat the card down, the large dragon toy appeared with a mighty roar (ATK: 2,300 - 2,900).
"I now remove a Xyz Material monster!"
As he discarded the Toy Truck, the fiend let out a groan of pain (ATK: 2,900 - 1300).
"Now, attack Valykrus!"
The dragon let out a stream of flames that struck the fiend in the chest and he let out a groan before he burst into a explosion of pixels (Desrook Archfiend LP: 7400 - 5900).
Dukey smiled and replied, "Take that, freak! I end my turn now."
Desrook Archfiend drew a card and replied, "I'll switch my Kokkatar to defense postion and then I'll set 2 cards facedown and that'll end my turn now."
Dukey drew a card and replied, "I summon my Toy Grizzly!"
As he sat the card down, a large metal grizzly bear with sharp claws appeared (ATK: 1,600).
"This card gives all Toy Monsters piercing damage! Toy Green Dragon, attack!"
The dragon launched a wave of hot flames and Furrie went up in flames.
"Now, attack that Beast!"
The warrior went in and slashed with its claw, blowing the cockatrice to pieces (Desrook Archfiend LP: 5900 - 3700).
Dukey smiled and replied, "Take that! I end my turn now."
Desrook Archfiend drew a card and replied, "You will be banished soon enough, you foolish dog! I activate Call of the Haunted!"
Suddenly, Fabled Valkyrus appeared (ATK: 2,900).
"I summon another Raven!"
As he sat the card down, another of the wicked fiends appeared (ATK: 1,300).
"Now, attack her Grizzly!"
The went and stabbed the robot bear in the chest and sparks flew from its chest before it exploded into scrap (Dukey LP: 5900 - 4600).
"I now play Urgent Tuning!"
Fabled Raven suddenly split apart into two white stars, with each one transforming into a green virtual ring. The two rings went through Fabled Valkyrus, which transformed into eight white stars. As this process occurred, Desrook Archfiend began to chant:
A mighty of the ruler of the netherworld, Attacks with power and speed until he's the only one left standing! He Destroys his foes with his mighty power! Synchro Summon! Come Forth..Fabled Leviathan!"
As he sat the card down, another huge fiend with fancy armor appeared (ATK: 3,000).
Johnny then replied, "Whoa."
Sissy then replied, "Not good, not good at all!"
Mary sighed and replied, "Its a very powerful monster!"
"Now, attack his Xyz!"
A sword made of light appeared in his hand as it went as struck with it, smashing the Xyz into pieces of broken metal (Dukey LP: 4600 - 3900).
Desrook Archfiend laughed and replied, "This duel is going to be all over for you soon! I end my turn now."
Dukey drew a card and replied, "I Activate Pot of Avarice first!"
He took his Toy Grizzly, Toy Emperor, Toy Truck, Toy Rabbit and his Toy Magician and shuffled the cards into his deck and drew 2 new cards and then he replied, "I'll set a monster and that'll end my turn."
Desrook Archfiend drew a card and replied, "Just accept defeat already! I summon my Fabled Urustos!"
As he sat the card down, a skeleton-like fiend appeared (ATK: 1,500).
"I'll set this card and now since I have 2 or less cards in my hand, both of my Fabled monsters gain 400 ATK!"
Suddenly, the skeleton fiend began to glow (ATK: 1,500 - 1,900) and so did the Synchro (ATK: 3,000 - 3,400).
"Lets do it. Leviathan, attack!"
the fiend went in and a small toy tank with a turnkey in it appeared (DEF: 1,100) and the fiend got his sword and cut the toy in two pieces with it.
"When Toy Tank is destroyed in battle, I can special summon a level 4 or lower toy monster from my deck and I Choose my 2nd Tank!"
As he sat the card down, a 2nd Toy Tank appeared (ATK: 1,300).
"Urustos, attack!"
the fiend went and slashed with claw, blowing the 2nd Toy Tank into shards and then a Toy Rabbit appeared (ATK: 1,700).
"Whatever. I end my turn now."
Dukey drew a card and replied, "I activate Spellbook in the Pot! We both now get to draw 3 cards!"
They did so (ATK: 1,900 - 1,500) - (ATK: 3,400 - 3,000).
"I now tribute my Rabbit for my Toy Dragon!"
As the rabbit vanished, the mighty dragon made of legos appeared (ATK: 2,300 - 2,900).
"I now play Shrink!"
Suddenly, the Synchro monster began to glow (ATK: 3,000 - 1,500).
"Now, attack his Synchro!"
The dragon began to glow as a shower of stars came out and slammed into the Synchro and it exploded into globules of fiery light (Desrook Archfiend LP: 3700 - 2300) and then the fiend replied, "I activate his ability! When he's destroyed, I Can add 3 Fabled monsters from my graveyard to my hand!"
He took 3 cards and added them all to his hand.
Dukey smiled and replied, "Won't help you at all! I end my turn now."
Desrook Archfiend drew a card and replied, "I'll switch my Urustos to defense postion and then I'll set a new monster facedown and that'll end my turn."
Dukey drew a card and replied, "I summon my Toy Gator!"
As he sat the card down, the cute alligator toy with a turnkey in it appeared (ATK: 1,700) and then dragon powered up (ATK: 2,300 - 2,700).
"Lets do it. Toy Dragon, attack!"
The dragon fired a launched a wave of stars and Urustos was blown to shards as the attack struck him.
"Toy Gator, attack!"
The small gator toy went in and a Morphing Jar appeared on the card (DEF: 600) and then the gator chomped down on the jar and it shattered into tiny pieces and both discarded their current hands and drew 5 cards apiece.
"I end my turn now."
Desrook Archfiend drew a card and replied, "I activat Monster Reborn!"
Suddenly, Fabled Urustos appeared (ATK: 1,500).
"Next, I summon my 2nd Grimro!"
As he sat the card down, another of the black-feather female fiends appeared (ATK: 1,700).
"I now play Double Summon for my Fabled Gallabas!"
As he sat the card down, a fiend with a ball and chain for a weapon appeared (ATK: 1,500).
"I now overlay my 3 level 4 monsters!"
Suddenly, the 3 monsters turned into glowing orbs of light, which flew up into the air. A galaxy-like portal appeared between both duelists, which the two orbs flew into.
"With my monsters, I construct the Overlay Network and Xyz Summon! Appear Now..Number 16: Shock Master!"
As he sat the card down, a huge machine-like fairy appeared with the number 16 on its waist (ATK: 2,300).
Susan then replied, "Its looks a machine!"
Desrook Archfiend laughed and replied, "Its actually a Fairy monster, fools!"
Sissy then replied, "That is one odd-looking fairy monster!"
"Thank you. I first activate Xyz Power of LIght! For each light monster I used to Xyz summon my monster, it gains 300 ATK for each one!"
Suddenly, it began to glow (ATK: 2,300 - 3,200).
"I now activate its ability, by removing 1 of its Xyz Material monsters, you can not activate a certain kind of effects until your end phase and I Choose Monster Effects!"
Suddenly, the dragon let out a weak roar (ATK: 2,700 - 2,300).
"Now, attack!"
The huge fairy launched a wave of fiery light that shot and struck the huge toy and it exploded into a shower of dust & pixels (Dukey LP: 3900 - 3000).
Desrook Archfiend laughed and replied, "This monsrer will bring your end! I end my turn now."
Dukey drew a card and replied, "I'll set a monster and I'll switch my gator to defense mode and then I'll set 2 cards facedown and that'll end my turn."
Desrook Archfiend drew a card and replied, "I activate Fiend's Sanctuary!"
As he sat the card down, the beady token appeared (ATK: 0).
"I now tribute my token for my Fabled Fabled Soulkius!"
As the token vanished, another muscular fiend appeared (ATK: 2,200).
"Next, I activate Shield Crush!"
Suddnly, Toy Gator shattered into pieces.
"I discard one more Xyz Material monster to activate my Shock Masters ablity and its for Traps this time!"
Suddenly, the huge fairy began to glow.
"I now play Heavy Storm!"
The storm began and Dukeys facedown cards (Which Were Rising Energy and a Negate Attack) were blown apart.
"Lets do it. Soulkius, attack!"
the fiend went and blew the facedown Spell Striker (DEF: 200) to pieces.
"Shock Master, direct attack!"
The fairy began to glow as it launched a wave of fiery that struck Dukey (Dukey LP: 3000 - 700).
Desrook Archfiend laughed and replied, "I will win the duel! I end my turn now."
Dukey drew a card and replied, "I activate Monster Reborn!"
Suddenly, Green Dragon Toy appeared (ATK: 2,300).
Desrook Archfiend laughed and replied," How can that toy help you?"
Dukey then replied, "This way, you foolish fiend! I now activate Rank-Up-Magic Barian's Force!"
Suddenly, the dragon began to glow and then 2 more wings came out of its back and its skin was now dark red in color (ATK: 2,900).
"This is the powerful Cxyz Choas Dragon Toy!"
Johnny then replied, "Now, that is one tough toy!"
Susan then replied, "Very cool."
"Since I used this spell card, I can steal Shock Masters last Xyz Material monster!"
Suddenly, Shock Master final Xyz Material monsters (A Grimro) flew into the dragons body.
Sissy then replied, "This is awesome!"
"I activate my dragons ability! One of your monsters lose 700 attack points times its rank or level!"
Suddenly, the Number began ro glow (ATK: 2,300 - 0).
Desrook Archfiend growled and replied, "You tricked me into using my Xyz monsters ability on traps!"
Dukey smiled and replied, "That is correct!"
Susan then replied, "Clever, dog."
Mary then replied, "He's getting more clever then ever about those duels!"
"Lets do it. Attack his Shock Master and end this!"
The dragon opened its mouth and launched a huge burst of hot flames that shot out and struck the huge fairy. Small explosions happened all over its body before it exploded into flaming metal and debris (Desrook Archfiend LP: 2300 - 0).
Johnny then replied, "Yea, baby!"
Suddenly, the number monster came out of the duel disk of the defeated foe and flew to Solomon and he grabbed it and replied, "Another one for our group."
Desrook Archfiend then replied,"You deserve to see my group. Follow me and you'll arrive at where you need to go."

When this card is destroyed as a result of battle and sent to the Graveyard, you may search your deck for one Monster that is Level Four or less with the word "Toy" in its name and Special Summon it in Attack Position.

As long as this card remains on the field: All "Toy" monsters infict piercing damage.
Xyz Power of LIght / Normal Spell Card

This card cannot be targeted by your opponets card effects. If this card has "Green Dragon Toy" as an Xyz Material, it gains this effect. - You can discard 1 Xyz Material monster to decrease the ATK of all monsters on your opponets side of the field by 700 x its Level (Or Rank).

Another duel comes to a end. In the next chapter, the fiend takes them to their groups HQ and they must battle them all before their leader allows a duel with them and then the stories first 2 on 2 duel begins!
