Twilight tended to her utility belt deep in the Mare Cave. She was organizing an assortment of gadgets, including smoke bombs, grenades and fear gas. Spike walked up behind Twilight.
"Good-Steed's last class is about to end," Twilight explained, not looking at Spike. "Go pick her up at school."
"And should Scootaloo have anything better to do with her evening?" Spike asked in protest. Twilight looked right at Spike.
"There's nothing better," she said with a light grin.
"Where have you been all this time?" Michelle asked Scootaloo as the two walked out of a long of school. "You're like gone."
"Been busy," Scootaloo said with a shrug.
"Are you even going to make it to the fair grounds tomorrow?" Michelle asked. "Opening day? Our tradition?"
"Uhh," Scootaloo groaned. "It's this night job."
"Details, as in more," Michelle asked with annoyance.
"Just helping some old spud," Scootaloo said. "It'd bore you."
Scootaloo looks to her left to see Spike with the car ready to go. He opens the door and gestures her to come over.
"Gotta fly," Scootaloo said as she darted off to meet Spike.
"Hey Spike," she said as she greeted Spike. Spike shut the door and took to the driver seat and took off. Michelle watches carefully trying to figure what is on her friend's mind.
