I stood before the trifold mirror staring down at my wedding robes, completely in awe of their beauty. I twisted back and forth, enjoying the shimmer of the fabric as I moved. An addition movement caught my eyes and I meet the reflection of my companion's eye.
"Never have I seen such a beautiful adun'a, or a wedding so exemplary of joining culture." Amanda beamed, walking up behind me and tucking back one of my short curl, "May I?" She asked, gesturing towards my Afsakau Ugaya.
I nodded, "Of course, but I'm not sure how it will stay in." My face colored, my hair still hadn't yet begun to grown back after my rash sheering. On the positive side of things, I didn't need to use nearly as much Sleekeazy's Hair Potion as I had to for the Yule Ball and Spock seemed to enjoy the new look.
At night when we would settle in the library, having each select a novel, we'd curl up for a while and he would always run his long fingers through my short, more manageable locks. I'd even catch him giving into his human enjoyment and humming every now and again.
"Here, let's try this." Amanda reached into the small cabinet and pulled out a small, flat square. She tucked the comb into the smoothed curls and gently lifted the section, placing the black magnet on the underside before laying the part back down, "There. Now you will not have to worry about it coming out." She hugged my shoulders, resting her head atop them, "I could have never asked for a better life mate for Spock, or a daughter for myself, than you."
I leaned back into her hug, conjuring an image of my Mum in my memory and knowing it truly would be a perfect day if I could have both of the women by my side as I prepared to walk down the aisle and meet my husband. My heart warmed, knowing that even if my Mum couldn't be here she still was in a way.
"Knock, knock!" Bones called, rapping his knuckles on the open door. He stopped just inside the frame, staring at me with wide eyes, "Hermione you look…"
"Bushy?" I smirked, looking to the mirror and trying to smooth some unruly curls.
"I was going to go with beautiful, but yes, bushy will do." Bones stepped up, offering his arm, "Are you ready to be Mrs. Spock?"
My finger fidgeted with my comb, making sure it was perfect as I threw one last look at the mirror, nodding to myself. My smile grew confident as I took in the mash of cultures I wore, "I am."

Spock stood before the mirror in his and Hermione's old room, straightening the colors on his chest. His sensitive ears could pick up the chattering of the guests as they took their seats in the backyard, which Amanda and Hermione had transformed into what looked like the garden at the house he grew up in on Vulcan.
"I can't believe you are going to be a married man now."
Spock let his eyes casually shift to Jim, who was leaning nonchalantly against the door, "If you have not realized as of yet, Jim, I have been married seven months today." He replied, turning in perfect synchronization towards his Captain as he donned his cap, "I am already a married man."
"Yet...you still look like a virgin." Jim replied with a mischievous grin, pushing off the frame and moving into the room, "Have you and Herms really not…" He clicked his tongue, his eyebrows raised suggestively.
Spock tilted his head, weighing the options of whether Jim's question was worth an answer or not.
"Actually, I don't want to know." Jim waved away his own question with a wrinkled nose, "Herms is like Bones' sister, which makes her sort of like my sister...so, just, never mind." Picking up a trinket from the dresser, he began tossing it between his hands as he looked for an alternative topic to keep the room from growing awkward.
"What are you going to do if someone challenges you to a Vulcan fight-to-the-death-thing?" Jim continued, placing the box back down.
"I believe you are speaking of a Kal-If-Fee." Spock clarified patiently, straightening his cap in the mirror, "In which case I will have to warn them that they will, inevitably, loose. Besides, Hermione would not call for one."
"That confident in yourself?" Jim replied with a Cheshire grin.
"Yes." Giving a satisfying nod to the mirror, he turned to the Captain, "I am." His ear twitched slightly as it picked up the music beginning outside, "I believe a significant amount of guests have arrived, since the music has changed, and that we should start down to the ceremony space."
Jim rolled his eyes, knowing he would never get use to Spock, "Alright Mr. Spock. Let's get you married to the Misses. Again."
In typical Vulcan fashion, the even composed Spock started out of the room with the ungraceful human following after him.
Though his exterior was an unyielding façade of Reason, his inner workings were alight with Emotion. In less than half an hour, Hermione and he would exchange their vows before those gathered and commit themselves once more to be husband and wife.
He felt like a child who had received exactly what he wanted for the earth festival called Christmas as he stepped out of the house and started towards the finely crafted arch of different summer blooms. Spock took his place off to the right, his hands folded behind him, and the flecks in his eyes gazing with anticipation down the aisle, awaiting his bride.

All morning I had no sense of anxiety, but just as I was getting ready to step out before all of those present the nerves set in.
"You are already married, it's not like today will change that. And you have been in front of loads of crowds before, so stop it. Hermione Granger does not get stage fright." I hissed to myself, my brow furrowing, "Bloody 'ell, get your damn self together."
"Such pretty language for a bride-to-be." Bones smirked, lightly squeezing my arm, "You look stunning, Hermione, and I will make sure you won't trip."
My eyes widened, "I hadn't thought of that."
Bones just patted my hand, "Just breathe."
I nodded and did as I was told, closing my eyes so I could concentrate on steadying my pulse. I jumped as I heard the cue from the Canon in D begin.
"Ready?" Bones asked.
I nodded, trying to calm my still pounding heart, "Ready."
Without knowing it, I had started forward as Bones led us around the corner to the aisle lined with white petals. At first I was caught up by the crowd, all of who knew of the magic world, and the feel of the beautiful setting.
Nyx waved with her colorful hair dancing in the wind, her companion, Headmistress Dawn, sat more composed but with an equal smile of content. Next were those of the Enterprise, who had supported me all along my journey. I smiled at each one in turn, wanting them to know how much it meant having them here.
Just as I reached the last stretch of the aisle, I looked up and met my husband's eye. Like a child with their first love, my heart raced against my chest trying to escape, and I felt like running the rest of the way towards him. My face warmed again, knowing Spock wouldn't enjoy the childish action with the Elders present, but my eyes kept bold company with his.
Spock stepped down and offered me his hand, I accepted by laying my hand and forearm against his and turning to face the front. I gazed up at him, amused by how serious he looked.
Because we were blending our cultures, we had both the chaplains of Starfleet and of the Ministry of Magic presiding over the ceremony. We stepped forward, presenting ourselves to them.
"Who comes to be married?"
"I and my intended." Spock replied for both of us. I scrunched my nose, trying not to laugh at how stoic he sounded. Spock was acting very much like Spock today, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
"Please state your names." The wizarding chaplain requested.
"Hermione Jean Granger." I smiled when I finished without my voice wavering.
Spock held his head up, "Spock, son of Sarek and Dena-Val."
"Spock, son of Sarek and Dena-Val, if you would turn to your intended." The woman chaplain from Starfleet ordered. My eye lit up as we turned towards each other, my smile grew when I saw the love in his eyes, which ruined his carefully constructed façade.
"Repeat after me 'I, Spock, take you, Hermione, to be my wife. I swear my loyalty, respect and love to you alone. I will be your protector, cherish you, and care for you for as long as I live'."
"I, Spock, take you, Hermione," Spock held my hand gingerly, no nerves to be had, "to be my wife. I swear my loyalty, respect and love to you alone. I will be your protector, cherish you, and care for you for as long as I live."
"Hermione," The wizard turned to me with a soft look, "If you will repeat after me, 'I, Hermione, take you, Spock, to be my husband. I swear my loyalty, respect and love to you alone. I will be your equal companion, cherish you, and care for you for as long as I live'."
"'I, Hermione," My smile lit up and I had to stiffen my excited giggle, "take you, Spock, to be my husband. I swear my loyalty, respect and love to you alone." I gently squeezed his hands, "I will be your equal companion, cherish you, and care for you for as long as I live.'
"If you will turn to one another now, we will seal your promise with the Marriage Vow." The wizard retrieved his wand from his sleeve and stepped forward, "This Vow is one of the most powerful spells, broken only under the most severe consequences, and has been a part of each wizarding ceremony since the Medieval Ages." With a twist of his wrist, three, thin wisps of silver began to drift from the tip of the old oak wand, "Do you each swear to uphold the vows set forth and to keep true to them as long as you each live? Forsaking all others, being life mates to one another, and fulfilling your duties as a spouse? If so, reply with 'we do'."
Spock stared with fascinated eyes at the shimmering trinity of strands that entwined our hands, binding us. Finally he looked up to me as we replied in unison, "We do."
"This seals the covenant made between the two of you. Forever more are you bond in love, tied to the promises you have made today." The wizard pulled his wand away and gazed on as the threads sunk themselves into our skins forever.
"It is my great honor to announce the new couple, Spock and Hermione! You may seal your vows with a kiss." The chaplains began to clap and the audience followed suite, standing on their feet as we turned to each other and shared a chaste kiss.
"We did it." I grinned, pulling back. My heart racing with the perfection of the moment as I was consumed by love around us, both from my husband and those in support of us.
"Yes." Spock looked down to me, a rare smile on his face as he leaned over and kissed my forehead, "We did."
I sighed, enjoying the feel of his lips against my head. It truly was a magical day.

The party went on for hours and I couldn't remember a more fun time had by all. I fell back on our bed, my face hurting from how much I had been smiling today as I recalled every moment of it.
I started to laugh, needing to let my excitement bubble out, "It was a perfect day!"
"Perfection is unattainable, Hermione, thought today came quite close." Spock explained as he removed his coat and cap to ready for bed.
I propped myself up on my elbows, worrying my lower lip. Tonight would be the first night we had slept together in our own apartment, it was the first time in a long we would actually be sleeping in the same bed – since I had been staying at the Embassy while he readied the apartment.
"Mother moved your things into the wardrobe and dresser by the window. I hope you do not mind." Spock explained, gathering his things and heading to the loo.
"I don't." I quietly replied, watching the door close behind him. Awkwardly I got up and began to change, wrinkling my nose.
"You silly witch, you know you have nothing to worry about. Spock would never force anything if you weren't ready." I chided as I slipped into my beloved Puddlemere pajamas, "Besides, if you are old enough to be married, you are old enough to move past snogging…" Even the thought made my face turn the shade of a beet.
I caught my reflection in the mirror and tilted my head. Am I ready?, I thought.
We had been through so much together, Spock and I might not have fully consummated our relationship but our intimacy level was past that of a traditional married couple with all that we had faced and overcome together. In my deepest heart, I could feel the bond we shared.
I was made for him and he for me.
"I am ready." I smiled, knowing my words were true.
I jumped when I heard the sound of the door opening and I spun around, my hand pressed against my chest.
"I did not mean to startle you." Spock explained, moving to the bed as if sleep were all that was on his mind.
"Y-you didn't." I stuttered the false reply and followed him towards the bed, pulling back the covers and slipping into the warmth.
"Good night, taluhk." Spock leaned over and kissed my forehead before turning the lamp off.
I turned towards him, taking hold of his arm before he could turn around, "Spock?"
He stopped and turned to me. Hesitantly, I leaned forward and pressed my lips against his.
"I love you." I whispered as if it were a secret just for us.
He tilted his head and responded in turn, "I love you too."
Smiling, I brought my hand up and softly caressed his face. He grew studious as I snuggled my body nervously against his. Worrying my lower lip, I reached down with shaky hands to the helm of his shirt.
"Hermione, I do not think—"
I looked up with a cheeky grin, shuttering with pleasure when I brushed my hand against his chest, "You don't need to be logical Spock." I leaned forward, finding my bold spirit as I continued to pull his shirt up as I kissed him again.
This time he responded to my kiss, breaking it just long enough so I could get his shirt off before wrapping his arms tightly around me and pulling me even closer.
My hands entwined with the short hair on the nape of his neck to prologue the kiss before he pulled back.
Closing his eyes, he cupped my face and rested his head against mine, "I love you."
"I know." I smiled, snuggling my face into the nape of his neck as I pushed him back against the bed, "And I want to show you how much I love you too." With that I leaned down and kissed him again, done with talking for the night.

In the middle of the night, with my head resting on his bare chest and my unclothed body hugging his in search of warmth, I gazed out the window to the twinkling night sky.
I smiled, It always comes back to the stars, as if they are looking out for me and guiding my fate.
And for that one instance, I felt the perfection of that moment in time and knew that nothing could ever ruin it.
"Hermione?" Spock asked, breaking the quiet of the night. He brought his hand up and began to stroke my ruffled curls.
My girlish smile had still to leave my pleased face as I snuggled it into his side, "Yes?"
"Today was a perfect day."
I chuckled and snuggled up next to him, my arms tightening around his chest and knowing I would never let him go.
