Hey, guys~ What's up? How's life? Good? Great? Awesome? Fantabulous? I know it's not a word, but I've always wanted to use it! So... Guess what guys? I. Got. A. C plus, on my history test! HOORAY! YIPPEE!~ I'm free! Just kidding... NO! MY LIFE IS OVER, I'll never make it into high school!...
The ivory beauty's chest rose up and down, in a panicking manner, as she stared out the huge window, that placed itself behind Mashima-sensei's equally large desk. Her fingers made a rhythmic tapping sound on the wooden chair, and she bit her lip till it was on the verge of bleeding.
Why am I here? I thought we finished filming the episode last week. What am I doing here! It's a Saturday! Lucy's gonna kill me for leaving her alone with a weeping Juvia!
"Lisanna, are you there?" The man's voice made the takeover wizard jump, as she looked around for the director. "Lisanna." Her attention then placed itself on the shady figure, rattling the doorknob from the outside.
"Lisanna? I-I forgot my key in the office, can you open the door?" He shouted, clearly embarrassed about the rookie mistake.
She stood up abruptly, unlocking the door, and swinging it open, leading the older man into his office. "I apologize for the wait... I didn't realize I wouldn't make it on time until I noticed that my alarm clock was forever stuck on 6:30 p.m." Placing his briefcase down, on his desk.
The man laughed, and the silver haired mage caught the laughter soon after.
"Um, not to be rude, Mashima-sensei... But, why did you call me here? So early in the morning? And on a Saturday? When I could be sleeping..." The mage dragged on until all questions she thought of were fulfilled.
Again, he chuckled, which turned into loud laughter. "I'm sorry about that..." The man turned on his spinning chair, grabbing a stack of paper, which to Lisanna, looked a lot like paperwork. Just because his assistant has a day off today, doesn't mean he can pass his work onto me!
Judging by the look on the girl's face, which obviously said 'If that's paperwork, I'm gonna kill myself'. Mashima-sensei spoke up, and grinned. "This isn't paperwork, it's opportunity."
Opportunity? "What does that mean, exactly?" The Fairy Tail mage quizzed.
"Lisanna, your acting skills, for someone who never had training, any experience... You've definitely earned the respect of many people, specifically, Mister Jacques." The director finished, giving Lisanna some time to skim through the words in her head.
Jacques?... Jacques, Jacques, Jacques... So familiar, but so vague.
Then it hit her, "Oh! The Parisian co-director!" Mashima-sensei made a clicking sound with his tongue, saying she was correct. "He was such a flirt... He asked me out, not even caring that Sting would rip him apart limb from limb." The beauty sighed.
The director laughed, rolling his eyes, slightly. He, indeed, was a flirt. Handsome, charming, smart, and rich. If only he would learn how to settle down with one girl.
"So, what about him?" She asked. "Rich, a very good word to describe him with." Masima-sensei started. "He's producing a movie, he wants you as a character." Lisanna pointed at herself, mouthing the words 'Who me?', and he nodded.
"A supporting character." Then, she sighed, There I thought, was the biggest moment in my life...
"Remember when I said, about ten seconds ago, rich was a good word to use to describe him." The man, in his late thirties, grinned, trying not to ruin the surprise. "He wants you as a supporting character." Mashima-sensei repeated, confusing the girl.
"For a 27 billion jewel film." (In U.S/Can currency, that'd be 270 million dollars)
The takeover mage, froze, Is this a prank? Lucy, I know you're in here somewhere, holding a camera! "Oh my... Mavis... Oh my Mavis... Oh my Mavis!" Lisanna smiled, uncontrollably. Elated, was not a strong enough word to explain how she felt.
"OH MY GOD!" The youngest of the three white haired siblings, squealed, thanking the heavens, and from a far distance, Mavis. Mentally of course.
"Ahaha-" The director was clearly happy that she was also ecstatic about this chance. "May I take your squeals, as an -I'm Interested-?" The man grinned, happily, pushing the papers, Lisanna thought were paperwork, in front of her empty seat.
The one thing that struck Lisanna as odd, was that Mashima-sensei didn't stand up to shake hands or whatever.
Was it a thing at Mashima Entertainment?
"Why're you sitting down? We're not gonna do the happy dance?" Lisanna joked, but sat down, when the man sighed, in a distasteful manner. "Did I go overboard?" She asked. "No, of course not, you're actually one of the calmer ones in the company." He laughed again.
Mashima-sensei, understood, that Lisanna would have a tough decision to make, but Lisanna didn't. The man stared at the words typed out on the white sheets, knowing there was a chance she'd deny the offer.
"Here's the downside to this offer..." The ivory haired wizard's face dropped, she didn't like the sound of downside. "If you take this offer, if," He repeated. "You, will have to move to Paris." He took a break before saying the news, that was WORST. Waiting for her input.
"Paris?" She said breathlessly. "I'll have to fly about 6000 miles away from my home, just to film a movie?" Lisanna paused, to let Mashima-sensei speak before letting out her confusion.
The director bit his lip, before speaking up. "You'll be in Paris, everyday, working for fourteen hours from Monday to Friday, for two and a half years." Then, she snapped. "TWO AND A HALF YEARS?!" The beauty jumped up and slammed her hands on the desk.
"He wants me to leave my family, my boyfriend, and my best friend for 2 and a half years?!" She growled.
Hiro-san stood up, and opened his briefcase, ruffling through the papers, and digging out a few certain things. He threw three head shots at Lisanna, and the mage immediately grabbed them, recognizing each person on the pictures.
"They're going to be in the movie?" Lisanna gawked, out of words, out of breath...
The charming director nodded, amused by the girl's facial expression. "You recognize them?" He asked, acting surprise, and tightening up his tie. "Of course! You'd have to be dead if you didn't know who they were..." He chuckled.
"I'm going to meet, them?!" She asked, but thought of it as a statement.
"If you decide to go, that is." He took back the head shots, placing them back in his briefcase, and closing the case with a SNAP! "Do you think it's possible that I can take a friend with me?" Lisanna questioned, referring to Lucy.
"You may... But I think, that they'll only allow you one extra plane ticket." Mashima-sensei finished, and sighed in annoyance when he realized that he was once again late for another meeting. "I'm late for yet another conference, the details are on my desk, feel free to take a pen, I will see you tomorrow with your decision."
The director rushed his words, but luckily they were still audible. The man flew out the opening, closing the door behind him with a THUD.
Lisanna looked around, and reached for the sheets, glaring harshly at them.
"Damned two year fulfillment, stupid Jacques..." What the hell am I gonna do? She grumbled, stuffing the neatly organized contract into her bag carelessly.
Lisanna thought carefully about what to do next, it was probably a smarter move to read through the sheets before stressing Lucy out about anything. Let's see, what is my character like? Better not be another bimbo who cheats on her fiancee with his best friend...
"Whoa, I'm actually pretty important for a supporting character." Lisanna smiled, but was interrupted by a knock on the door.
"Mira?" She asked. "Hai!" Her older sister replied back. The door opened, revealing Mira with a tray of food. "Dinner?" The oldest of the siblings smiled. "Sure..." Mira stared at the papers in her sibling's hand, oh, how they hurt her.
"Haven't told Lucy yet, have you?" The model questioned, setting down the silver tray on a nearby desk.
Lisanna sighed, and plopped the papers down by her side. "Nope, and I really don't want to..." The girl buried her face into her pillow, on the brink of screaming. "I don't know if I want to go anymore. I never really knew I'd miss everyone this much until it'd actually happen."
Mirajane ignored the comment, and asked. "When do you leave?" The younger of the two sisters stared blankly at her, You want me to leave? How can you say that! "Two weeks from now, a month if they're behind schedule." She replied plainly.
"Oh... But you are taking Lucy, right? Mashima-sensei did say you could take a friend." The older woman smiled sadly, wishing it could have been her, but she knows her duties as the bartress, and it'd be despicable to leave her unstable, hopeless at love, brother back in Japan.
"No, I'm not..." Mira's eyes widened, jumping up from her younger sister's bed. "What? Why! But-"
"Mira! I can't." Lisanna argued back before her sister could jump to conclusions, and run out in tears. "If I take Lucy to Paris with me, Natsu..." The mention of the young salmon haired mage made Mira gasp.
"Will be missing his lover for two and a half years..." The animal takeover mage sighed.
"I see your point." Mirajane smiled. Urgh... Why couldn't I have become an actress before I started matchmaking with Luce?! Oh, right. Cause I was supposedly dead for two years! Two years... Two years!...
"I'll be gone for another... Two years..." Mira-nee and Elf-nii-chan thought I was dead for two years, now I'm leaving them again for two years, on my own resolve...
Mira and Elf-nii-chan took it pretty well... I don't know if it'll be the same with Lucy though...
Lisanna took out the key to Lucy's apartment, giggling that she still had it with her.
Click. She was in! "LUCY." Was Lisanna's way of greeting her blonde best friend. "ARE YOU HOME?" The blue eyed mage shouted, knocking on the bathroom wall, annoyingly. "LUCE!" Lisanna screeched, the volume of her voice irritated some neighbours, and scared all the others.
"WHAT!?" The blonde finally yelled back, from somewhere Lisanna didn't know. "Lucy, where are you?" She inquired, thankfully, at a normal amplification. The soon-to-be actress heard a muffled cough, and a loud thump come from upstairs. Strange, since there was no upstairs.
"Lucy?" Did she get robbed or something? Where is she!
"Attic!" The celestial mage screamed back, hoping Lisanna would hear her. And, she did. Attic? Since when did Lucy's apartment have an attic? Since when did ANY apartment have an attic! The girl climbed up a ladder, she was always suspicious of in the kitchen, and found her friend."Hey, Lu."
Lisanna smiled, though her vision was blurred by the dustiness of the attic.
"Hey, Lis. What's up with you today?" The spirit user interrogated, calmly dusting away a huge quantity of spider webs. The white haired takeover mage looked around at the attic, despite being incredibly dusty, dark, and damp. The three D's...
Lisanna enjoyed the actually spacious attic, and saw that Lucy had been working hard to clean it up. Seeing the two broken brooms, unsightly mops, and sparkling floor, (Being weird since the rest of the attic looked terrible). She'd probably been working all afternoon cleaning it up!
"The more important question, what's up with YOU today?" The girls laughed, and Lisanna smiled, acknowledging the gorgeous space. "You had an attic?" The takeover mage asked, completely in shock before, but really just ecstatic now. "Yup! No one told me, until I asked my neighbours from downstairs."
"Um, more importantly, why're you cleaning it out?" The younger of the two best friends asked. "Because! Remember, the last sleepover we had, you said, `You're bed is starting to get kinda uncomfortable`?" Lucy squealed.
"I'm cleaning out the attic, so it's gonna become your room whenever you sleep here!" She squalled in delight for a second. The blonde picked up the feather duster, and swiftly, as if gaining much experience from the past three hours, sweeped through the cob webs. "I already even ordered a bed!"
Too bad it'll be empty for two years...
Her heart pounded out of her chest, she felt like clutching her stomach and throwing up. Banging her head on the wall, and running back home. And, ANYWHERE but Paris.
"Oh... But what about those times, when I gotta go on missions, or visiting Sting or something..." The younger mage giggled awkwardly.
"That's alright, cause I know you're coming back to me!" Holy crab cakes... This is the worst possible thing that could happen... "Lu... We gotta talk..."
"Okay, remember that flirt, Jacques, that you said was such a player." Lisanna started, and Lucy rolled her eyes, groaning in disgust. The blonde nodded, annoyed. "Did'ya know he was co-director?" Lucy nodded, reluctantly.
"... Did you know, that he has more money in his pocket, than Mashima-sensei has in his bank account?" The celestial mage's eyes widened in shock, she jumped up, and let out a long 'WHAT!'. "Guess who's gonna be in his next movie?" The ivory haired beauty smiled weakly.
"Oh. My. MAVIS! Lis! That's HUGE!" She shrieked in delight.
"It is huge! But... There's a downer." Lisanna stared at her blonde bestie, her stomach turning at the older girl's slight frown. "I... Gotta move to Paris... Without you..." I'm sorry Luce, but I'm not gonna let you come with me, and have you and Natsu be forced into a long-distance relationship!
Lucy's nose crinkled, her eyes staring to dim, but no, it was nowhere near the worst part yet.
"For two years..." Then, she snapped. Paris? Two years? What! Lis... "Wh-when do you leave?" The blonde's lip quivered, she was a girl, her heart was a fragile as the rest of her body. But Lucy knew she'd have to toughen up, for Lisanna's sake. More importantly, to set an example of how Sting should act, when he finds out.
When do you leave? Just like Mira, weird...
Lisanna held up two fingers, then pointed on the last day of August. "Two weeks?! What! But! What about... About matchmaking! And your-" The chocolate coloured eyed beauty stopped before she said something completely stupid.
"Do your best! I'll see you in X794..." Lucy smiled, it was a genuine smile, she was happy for her friend of course! But, Lucy couldn't stand parting with her either. "What? Luce... You really mean that?" Lisanna asked.
"Yes, I really mean that." The girl sighed, her heart clenching inside. "Go on, and have fun in Paris. Who else is gonna be in the movie?" Lucy grinned, and giggled. She's hurt, Luce needs a good cry... Just, not in front of me...
"The big shots." Lisanna cackled. "Ooh, let me guess! Elle Garnier, Jean Martin, and Angelina Debois." Her knowledge on film and social media really improved...
"Good job, I'll remember to put a check mark beside your name, when I go back and start up on my Guild Mates Report Cards." The youngest Strauss joked. Luce is gonna cry. I better leave before she denies the fact that I can hear her sobs.
"Crap... I gotta go." The silverette moaned, and stood up, but turning back to give Lucy the key to her apartment, it's not like she's gonna need it for awhile, right? "Keep it, make it into a necklace or something, I want you to remember who I am when you get back, Ms. Supporting Role in a Jacques Antoine Movie."
"I thought you were leaving in two weeks..." Lucy frowned, staring at Lisanna, who was currently packing up.
"Two weeks until we start filming, I gotta get there earlier so I can find an apartment, sign the contracts, get to know the other actors..." The ivory beauty explained, stuffing every item she could reach for before realizing her suitcase might burst.
"You should only pack about seven outfits, Lis. I mean, just buy tons of clothes there, so you won't need such a huge bag." Lucy shrugged, sweat dropping about the fact that Lisanna had asked her to sit on the bag so she could zip it.
"I know! I'm pretty much just stuffing my closet into a 10 by 40 bag." The takeover sibling snickered, unzipping the large black suitcase, resulting in an explosion of clothes.
-Lucy's P.O.V-
My stomach was failing me, I only stared at the dinner I prepared for myself. I lost my appetite at the thought of Lisanna. I was in Fairy Tail for a year without her, what's two years, right? A lot... Two years, was a lot.
I couldn't break out into tears... It just didn't work... I wanted to cry until I lost both consciousness and hydration. But, it seemed like I was way too sad to even cry! Maybe I could sneak into Lis' luggage, and I can stay in Paris with her for free!
As strange as I was, I wasn't that strange.
"Wonder how Sting is taking it..." I snickered, imagining the blonde probably being pinned down by his partner so he wouldn't burn down the guild.
Mini... That's right, she's gonna be pretty depressed too...
"No! Stop that! Are you gonna spend the next two years moping and thinking about Lisanna!? Lucy, get yourself together!" I scolded myself. I wouldn't cry, I won't cry, I refused to cry. Not for my dignity! Lost all that after becoming best friends with Lisanna.
For Lisa's sake. It, was for Lisanna's sake...
