AN: So here's the next chapter. I will show the class project after the next episode. Give Yuki and her team enough time to actually put together a project and give me some time to come up with something intelligent and creative and then come up with whatever Tamaki and Kyoya are working on. I have no clue what they're doing.

Oh, and to those who celebrated it, I hope you guys had a happy Independence Day. Mine was boring. Independence Day wasn't on TV at all. Our grill needs new parts so we can't use it. So, mine was very empty.

This chapter is dedicated to Karnevalfreak59.

I hope you all like the chapter.

Happy Reading!

Chapter Thirty-Seven: Accepting Bets

Yuki's POV

I will always be the first to admit I prefer Disney to Universal. Always have, always will. The park was fun, not a lot to do, but it was fun. It was really only a one day park we realized once we got a map, especially when we ruled out Universal Wonderland because the rides were too kiddie. Disney's kiddie rides were for kids of all ages, Universal's were strictly for small children. We spent yesterday shopping and getting lunch at Discovery Restaurant in the Jurassic Park area, ice cream at Amity Ice Cream in Amity Village area, and dinner at The Dragon's Pearl in the San Fransisco area. Today we were going to be brave and try the rides.

"You want to do what?" I asked Kimi confused.

"We wrote down the list of rides last night we go by that and search for the rides and screw the map." Kimi replied smiling.

"Alright." I reluctantly agreed, then my phone rang. It was Kyoya. I looked to Kimi, "I've gotta take this. I won't be too long."

"Okay." She replied, "I'm gonna go get a snack."

"Alright." I nodded, "I'll be right there." I pointed to the bench a few feet away. We separated and I took the call.

"Yuki, you've got some explaining to do."

"Hey Kyo, what's up?" I put on a completely innocent tone.

"Don't Kyo me, Yuki." He replied annoyed, "And you can drop the innocent tone as well, I know you were behind that fight."

'Should have left my phone off.' I thought rolling my eyes.

"It was just an argument." I replied dryly.

"An argument that could have caused major damage to the club." Kyoya retorted.

"Then you have Hikaru and Kaoru to blame for that." I told him calmly, "They are the ones who were arguing."

"When it comes to the games you three play, my love, they are merely sheep and you are their shepherd. They wouldn't have come up with that idea unless you had mentioned it to them."

"Probably not, they've always been very close, fighting would a bit surprising for them to come up with on their own, but once I hinted it to Hikaru, they did have fun with the possibilities."

"Was it also your idea to use the rest of us as pawns?"

"No, that was them. I just said put on a show."

"You don't feel guilty about this at all, do you?"

"Why should I?" I asked a little annoyed, "I've been out of town this whole time. Other than the fact I gave them the idea, I have nothing to do with their fight. Did I help them plan it? Yeah, I did. Did I give them ideas of people who would probably say something to them that could either start or escalate the argument? Sure. Did I call in a favor from Nekozawa for the curse doll? Yeah. The rest of it was all them."

"It sounds like you orchestrated the whole thing."

"I merely pointed them in the right direction and helped them out where I could." I replied simply.

"When we got together, we agreed when you played your mind games and played those games you, Hikaru, and Kaoru like to play, you would at least leave me out of them. I could care less if you used the others. If they can't see through them, they deserve what's going to happen to them, but if we are going to date, using me as a pawn amd manipulating me, is something that isn't going to happen. You and I both know you would have the same conversation with me if I pulled a stunt like that and you would be nowhere near as calm as I am being."

"Ya know what Kyoya, I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best." I replied pissed. I wasn't going to admit I was wrong. I wasn't. Hikaru and Kaoru were the ones who were fighting. I wasn't there. I gave them an idea that they ran with. I barely had anything to do with their fight. I had nothing to do with it causing trouble to the club. "We'll talk when I decide to come back and wish to talk to you; because right now, I really don't wish to talk to you. We'll talk about their fight, this little chat, and everything else attatched to it and if it's going to continue." I hung up as Kimi came back with food.

"Do you like funnel cake?" She asked me, "I love it, but I can't really finish it on my own."

"I love it." I replied.

"You okay?"

"Yeah."

Kyoya's POV

I hit the back of my head against the wall. That wasn't quite the way I was hoping that conversation would go. I rubbed the amazonite stone in my hand. "Marylin Monroe, of course, she'd used that quote."

"You okay?" Tamaki asked as he came over to me.

"Is your sister always so complicated?"

"Yes." Tamaki replied smiling lightly, "Her life is complicated, so therefore she herself is complicated."

"Did you know she was behind the twins fight?"

"I knew she was up to something, she likes trouble." Tamaki said sitting down, "I didn't know until she told me that she gave them the idea. Men in the game are blind to what men looking on see clearly."

"And you have no problem with it or-"

"The games she plays? Or the way she can act?" Tamaki asked cutting me off, "No, because that's part of who she is. I love my sister. She's the only sister, the only twin, I have and the only one I'm going to have. She's clever and cunning and puts it to good use. Why have gifts, if you're never going to use it? And when she does use those talents, which are talents you share, my friend, like you, she puts them to good use. John Halt once said, "We learn to do something by doing it. There is no other way." She my have given Hikaru and Karou the idea, but they were the ones who took it as far as they did. She gave them the idea to fight, I believe, because I don't believe they've ever fought before. It's healthy for siblings to fight, and how do you ever learn how to do something if you're never shown? Now when they have a real fight, they know how to handle it and when to stop. I don't blame you for being angry. You guys are close friends; I wouldn't blame you if you were jealous of the bond Hikaru and Kaoru share with her. They let her into their world. I think she might think in a similar way as they do. She keeps a secret from you; you've kept a secret from her. She hates it, you hate it. You're even. You've never had too many problems with the way she was? Why now? Cause this time it could have affected the club? The club means a lot to all of us, but if something happened, we would have been able to fix it." Tamaki stood, "I have a class to go to, but remember this Kyoya, you'll seldom end up where you want to go, but you'll always end up where you need to be, and this is only for future reference, my friend, for when the time comes, we come to love not by finding the perfect person but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly."

I looked out the window and thought about everything Tamaki had told me. By the end of my independent study, I had gone over everything Tamaki had said, every word Yuki had spoken, and all that I said. I had thought about every feeling, reaction, expression, and comment. And for once, I was the one feeling like a fool.

Yuki's POV

After we finished the funnel cake, I was less angry. We looked at the list and went to go find The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man. The ride was like one of the Disney dark rides, but with Marvel's Spider-Man as the theme. It'll be interesting how long Sony and Universal can keep him, since he's Marvel and technically now should belong to Disney. The main plot was there a bunch of Spidey villians were causing trouble and Spidey had to stop it. The ride was 4D, I think, in that aspect it reminded me of It's Tough to Be a Bug. The plot was simplistic, but entertaining, and the end was kind of fun. It was better than expected.

We found Hollywood Dream next. That was a simple rollercoaster. It had a good amount of thrill, but nothing really scary. It was just fun. We rode Backdrop afterwards, since they were in the same place. Backdrop and Hollywood Dream were the same type of track. The only difference was Backdrop was backwards and a hell of a lot more fun.

The next ride we went to find was Space Fantasy. The queque was long, the ride was short, and honestly, I don't remember half of it. I remember an odd little creature with a fireball for a head. The ride was dark, had lasors, and was set in space.

We went to find Jurassic Park next. This was one of the rides I was looking forward to the most, not the one I was most excited for, but one I was definitely syked for. It was a wet ride, and the one we made sure to keep in mind when we got dressed. The line wasn't too long, the dinosaurs were cool, and since we were in the front seat we got soaked and it was awesome!

We went to go find Jaws next. It was a ride that Hikaru and Kaoru urged us to go on. When they were talking, they had me at we could get wet. They had Kimi at 'you should try this'. We didn't get wet and I can definitely say I'm never going to see the movie Jaws.

The last ride we went on before we got lunch was Back to the Future. This was the ride I was looking forward to the most and it didn't disappoint. It was the best ride we had been on today. Great plot, fantastic ride. It was a blast.

We got lunch at Mel's Drive-In in the San Fransisco area. It was fast food and modeled after the drive-in from American Graffiti. We both got cheeseburgers, fries, and sodas. We ate and talked the best things that stated with m's: movies, music, and men. She was very inquisitive. A type of curious I wasn't expecting of one of the more quite people in our group, although that isn't saying much, we're all pretty chatty except for Takashi, he's the silent one. But you know what they say: it's always the quite ones. I love that phrase, it can apply to anything and everything.

We went to see a few show attractions next. Being the fairytale lovers we are, we saw Shrek first, which was the most entertaining indoor one we saw. It was entertaining and had a good plot. We went to Universal Monsters Live Rock And Roll Show, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I was the only reason we went to see it. I was the one who loved Beetlejuice. Kimi enjoyed herself once the music started playing. We saw Backdraft next because Kimi has a certain fondness for fire. I didn't really enjoy it, but she thought it was interesting. We saw Waterworld next. I thought it was great, Kimi only liked parts of it.

After the show we went to Louie's N.Y. Pizza Parlor in the New York area. I got a pizza, Kimi got pasta. We ate and talked. After we had dinner, we left the park and headed back to my house. Her Dad thought she was with Sumi all week and don't expect her back until Monday.

"You guys are back late. I thought you guys were supposed to be back a hour ago." Tamaki commented as we passed by the family room, he was hanging out with Kyoya watching a movie.

"Ran into traffic." I shrugged. I looked to Kyoya and then back to Tamaki, "He staying the night?"

"Is Kimi?" Tamaki asked.

"Yes." I answered. He knew that.

"Then you have your answer." Tamaki replied dryly, "Gonna explain the video chat negotiation?"

"Nope." I answered dryly, "Gonna explain why you stole my book?"

"Not at all." Tamaki replied nonchalantly, "Have a reason why you decided now to orchestrate a argument between Hikaru and Kaoru?"

"Not a reason that I feel like sharing." I replied, "Have a reason why you two can't go anywhere else to do your project?"

"Not one that I'm inclined to share." He stated.

"Awesome." I nodded. I think we both got all of the information we wanted to the other to get, which was practically nothing. "Great talk."

"Yes, I think we learned a lot." He agreed.

"We should do it again." I replied, before turning to leave, waiting for him to say what he really wanted to.

"Projet. Vous me donnez un conseil, je vais vous donner un." He told me in French, so we would be the only ones who would fully understand the conversation.

(Project. You give me a hint, I'll give you one.)

"Faisons de cette affaire un peu plus doux. Nous allons faire un pari sur le projet." I smiled.

(Let's make this deal a little sweeter. We'll make a wager on the project.)

He looked intrigued, "Allez."

(Go on.)

"Comme vous le savez, le projet est une compétition de classe devant les finissants. Si votre groupe perd, vous personnellement, Tamaki me achetez plaquettes et tout autre élément féminin dont j'ai besoin pour le reste de l'année. Et Kyoya, tous les samedis pour le reste de l'année, nous sortons pour manger dans différents restaurants de roturiers de mon choix."

(As you know, the project is a class competition in front of the upperclassmen. If your group loses, you personally, Tamaki are buying me pads and any other feminine item I need for the rest of the year. And Kyoya, every saturday for the rest of the year, we go out to eat at different commoner restaurants of my choosing.)

Kyoya looked at Tamaki confused and explained everything quietly to him. They whispered back and forth, discussing their own terms.

"Il convient, en fonction de votre conversation va. Je suis d'accord pour les termes et voici la nôtre. Vous me apprendre à cuisiner pour le reste de l'année. Je n'aime pas la façon dont vous êtes impatient et je prends les recettes. Kyoya ne dit refaire montagnes et vous payez pour tout et cuire, il arrive à s'asseoir et prendre les films, et il ya plusieurs termes à qui il préférerait vous parlez en privé sur." Tamaki stated.

(He agrees, depending on how your conversation goes. I agree to your terms and here's ours. You're teaching me how to cook for the rest of the year. I don't care how impatient you are and I pick the recipes. Kyoya only said redo mountains and you pay for everything and cook, he gets to sit back and pick the movies, and there are more terms to that he would prefer you talk in private about.)

"Ouais, je parie qu'il ya. Je suis d'accord avec les règles, ce que les autres?" I replied dryly.

(Yeah, I bet there are. I agree to the terms, what about the others?)

He shook his head, "Non, c'est juste entre nous trois." (No. This is just between the three of us.) He then asked, "Et si nous perdons à la fois?" (And if we both lose?)

"Ensuite, nous avons tous à faire uns et des autres termes." I replied shrugging.

(Then we all have to do each others terms.)

"Terminé. Astuce?"

(Done. Hint?)

"J'ai jeté un sort sur vous." I replied, thinking of the smallest hint I could give.

(I put a spell on you.)

"Cela pourrait être beaucoup de choses." He replied dryly.

(That could be a lot of things.)

"La vôtre?"

(Yours?)

"Tout est juste dans l'amour et la guerre." He smirked.

(All's fair in love and war.)

"Cela me dit rien." I retorted.

(That tells me nothing.)

"Et pourtant, c'est tout ce que vous obtenez." He replied, far too happy about it.

(And yet that is all you're getting.)

"Belle entreprise de faire avec vous, Tama."

(Nice doing business with you, Tama.)

He nodded, "J'ai bien aimé aussi. Que le meilleur groupe de gagner."

(I've enjoyed it as well. May the best group win.)

"Je pense que nous le ferons. Et Tamaki?" I smiled.

(I think we will. And Tamaki?)

"Ouais?"

(Yeah?)

"Ne pas oublier de l'apporter." I told him before going upstairs with Kimi.

(Don't forget to bring it.)

"What did you say to him?" Kimi asked confused.

Tamaki's POV

"We'd better win." I told Kyoya, "I'd rather not buy pads, or whatever other female item that pops into her head for the rest of the year."

"What happened to loving and accepting her for who she is?"

"This time she doesn't have a good reason, this time she's just being cruel." I replied, "What happened in the mountains?"

"Nothing of note." He replied nonchalantly.
