Important announcement: The Poll for deciding on the next Legendary is now officially closed. I have deleted the Poll so no one will see which won to make it more interesting. Now I have to decide on which one of the three in the winning decision I am going to pick. The Decision will be based on multiple things which you will see my decision and the reason in the chapter it occurs. Look forward to it. Now back to our current chapters. Let's get to it.
Chapter 38: Decisions
The Cruise was on its sixth day where it was on its way to the final island before returning to the Island it started at. This one however has a big distance between the Sixth Island and Seventh Island and the journey would run into the morning. It was currently coming up to sunset on the cruise. Ash, Pikachu, Latias and their newly made friend Eevee were all hanging out at the side of the ship enjoying the view.
Ash spoke up after "This cruise sure has been fun hasn't it". Pikachu held his arm up in agreement "Yeah lots of places to explore". Latias nodded to Ash and spoke "And we have got to meet loads of people and have fun". Ash looked to Eevee who was at next to Pikachu "So have you enjoyed the cruise Eevee". Eevee smiled and nodded to them "Yeah I have enjoyed it. I was so happy to meet you all".
Ash have Eevee a stroke on his head and Eevee's ears relaxed down "So was I Eevee. It has been fun". Ash looked to see the sunset was beginning and said "Look everyone". Every turned to face the sunset. It gave off a beautiful colour and shine on the surrounding surfaces of land and the ship. It also made the ocean sparkle. Everyone were being amazed by the beautiful scenery they were being presented with. There are many things of beauty in the World of Pokémon and this is one of them.
Latias was admiring the view greatly and said "This is why I like being on open sea then nothing is getting in the way of the sunset view like a mountain would". Pikachu agreed with them saying "Yeah, a lot of places in the world have it. But the sky is just as good too". Ash looked across the ship to see people were beginning to head inside. He looked back and said "Well we better get inside now, Eevee let's get you back to Amy or she will be worrying".
Eevee looked down and said "Can't I stay with you a little longer". Ash shock his head at Eevee and made a weak smile "I'm sorry Eevee, I would like to as well, but I promised Amy, to have you back before it gets dark. So let's go". Eevee looked down again and saddened a little. He slowly nodded and Ash said "Hop on Eevee".
Eevee looked up to see Ash offering Eevee to jump on his free shoulder and Eevee happily obliged and jumped on and lent his front paws over. Ash then begun his walk into the ship through one of the entry ways. He walked into a large hallway with rooms on both sides coming up. Ash looked for the specific number that was Amy's room. Eevee looked to Ash and asked him "What room are you staying in". Ash happily answered his question "We are staying in room 18. We have a double bed and 2 singles in our room. Which I assume is your room size as well".
Eevee nodded to him saying "Yeah, but we don't use them all though". Ash nodded as they came to the room number they were looking for 31. Ash knocked on the door and waited for a moment. In a couple of moments the door opened it with Amy answering "Ah hi Ash, how are you". Ash nodded to her saying "Very well, thank you, just come to bring Eevee back". Eevee jumped off his shoulder and stood next to the door and Amy smiled "Thank you Ash, I assume he behaved himself".
Ash quickly nodded in response "Of course we all enjoyed ourselves. Anyway we better head to our room. See you tomorrow". Amy gave him a wave as Ash, Latias and Pikachu turned around and begun walking away. Ash gave one more wave to Eevee "See you later Eevee". Eevee gave them a wave back but looked down a little saddened. Amy not noticing said to him "Come in then Eevee. We're having an early night as tomorrow is our final destination of the cruise".
Eevee slowly nodded and walked into the room. He saw his older sister Glaceon lying on the double bed watching everyone while his younger sister was having a snooze. His two brothers were play fighting on a single bed. Eevee looked down and walked over to the double bed. He sat next to it and looked around. He was watching his siblings as they were doing their activities. Amy closed the door and went and sat on the double bed and took out a piece of paper.
Glaceon looked down at Eevee who was looking around and said "Is something wrong little brother". Eevee looked up to Glaceon "Not really just thinking about things". Glaceon moved her paw out and indicated for Eevee to sit next to her. Eevee jumped up and lied down next to Glaceon and she looked to him "So what are you thinking about?" Eevee looked away and collected his thoughts "I was hoping to hang out with Ash, Pikachu and Latias a little longer".
Glaceon nodded and said to him "Don't worry you can play with them tomorrow before we head off the ship". Glaceon went and lied back down while Eevee was secretly shocked and thought "I will never see my friends again". Eevee looked down sadly and looked to Amy who was busy writing something on a letter. Eevee looked to the door and lied his head down feeling awkward in the room with his family. But really some felt as family but some didn't.
A couple of hours later it was becoming night time. A lot of people would be up but others would be getting ready to sleep. Amy and her Pokémon were already off to sleep. Glaceon slept against Amy's side completely relaxed. The Eevee all slept together on the other side of the bed. The youngest girl was curled up while the two brothers were slept close but spread out a lot.
Eevee who was friends with Ash slept close to them on the edge of the bed. They were all snoozing off. Suddenly the older brother rolled over a little with his legs rubbing against Eevee. Eevee felt it and nudged a little but didn't wake up. The older brother completely out pushed his legs to stretch and begun pushing Eevee. He fell off the bed and hit the floor fully waking him up.
He groaned as he hit his head against the floor and rolled over onto his front and he put a paw on his head and rubbed it a little. Eevee stood up and walked in front of the bed to see his brothers stretching out into Eevee's space. Eevee looked down saddened again and thought "Why has he always got to be mean". He looked to the door and then back to the bed as he begun to look like he was debating things.
He looked to the door one more time and turned himself to looking at it. Eevee then nodded his head and ran towards a chair right next to the door and jumped on it and then onto the back of it. He then moved over and leaned to the door handle and put his paws on it. He slowly turned it and opened it slowly. Light was still in the hallways so he didn't open it too much to avoid waking the others.
He jumped down and walked out of the room. He grabbed the side of the door and pulled it towards him and moved his paw out of the way and the door closed. Eevee then made a sigh as he managed to accomplish it without waking his siblings up. He then turned towards the right of the hallway and thought "18, wasn't it". Eevee begun walking away from the door and down the hallway.
Meanwhile in Ash's room, they were all still awake and relaxing. Pikachu was sitting next to the window looking outside. Latias was sat on the double bed relaxing while Ash was sitting on the double bed with his pokedex out. He was looking through it checking his archive as they can be journey logs. Latias smiled to him and said "You have been on that Pokedex for ages, why not have a break from it".
Ash looked to her and smirked "I am just checking things I will come off it in a bit". Latias rolled her eyes and went back to relaxing. Pikachu who was looking out of the window said "Well that is Ash for you, always committed". Latias made a nod to him but nicely said "Yeah but that is a good thing about Ash".
Ash now having finished put his Pokedex away and said "I'm finished, now I need a snack". He walked over to the table where he brought some food into the room and picked up some bread with cheese pieces and a bit of salad on. He crossed it up and took a bite of it and enjoyed the taste of it for a moment "Mmm that is good". Ash took another bite and said "Pikachu get yourself one of these, they are good".
Pikachu looked and jumped off and walked over. Ash picked up another one and crossed it and handed it down to Pikachu. He took a bite of it and gave a smile "Wow it is good". He crunched it up. Suddenly they heard quiet knocks on the door. Ash put his sandwich down and walked over to the door. He opened it and looked forward "Hello". He looked around but didn't see anyone until he heard a voice "Hi Ash".
Ash looked down to see Eevee sitting in front of his feet. Ash squatted down and said "Eevee what are you doing here, aren't you supposed to be with Amy and you siblings". Eevee looked down for a moment trying to collect his thoughts and Ash said "You can tell me Eevee".
Eevee feeling calm spoke to Ash "Can I stay with you tonight". Ash was surprised to hear this and said "Did Amy say you can". Eevee looked away and said "I can't sleep, my brothers keep taking the space and push me off the bed. And I feel outside around my family". Ash hearing all this looked around and then said "Well you better come in". Eevee smiled and walked into the room and Ash closed the door behind him. He then followed Eevee who stood in the middle of the room and Ash sat down in front of him "Okay so what is the matter Eevee".
Eevee was quick to speak "Well, with my family I have started feeling like an outsider to them as I don't get noticed too much by everyone and Amy doesn't notice my brothers bullying me or does she acknowledge it. Besides that I like her. Glaceon my older sister is okay as well but I don't fit in with my other siblings".
Ash nodded now getting an understanding nodded and said "Okay but why come to me though". Eevee looked up and smiled "Because I can trust you. I don't feel like an outsider with you and Pikachu and Latias". The trip were surprised to hear this but they were touched by Eevee sincere words.
Ash then thought and looked to Latias. She smiled to him and made a nod to him and Ash decided on his answer "Okay Eevee, you can stay with us tonight but first thing tomorrow when we are all sorted. I am taking you back to Amy. Deal". Eevee excitedly held his paw up "Deal. Thank you Ash". Eevee came and gave Ash a nuzzle. Ash was surprised but smiled and stroked Eevee. Latias smiled deeply to him and said via mind link "You never fail at making friends Ash".
Ash nodded but begun thinking hard about something. He was debating on Eevee's knowledge of Ash. Ash looked to Latias and said via mind link "Should I tell him". Latias was confused and replied to him "Tell him what". Ash quickly answered her back "About me". Latias now understanding what he meant but still confused said to him "Why do you want to show him". Ash looked down to Eevee was still happily nuzzling Ash said to her Because I trust him and I hate lying as well, You know that".
Latias was now conflicted a little but had to agree with Ash as he is always one wanting to speak the truth "Okay Ash if you trust him". Ash took Eevee and held him up confusing Eevee. Ash placed Eevee on the double bed and stood up "Eevee do you want to know why I can understand Pokémon language".
Eevee tilted his head a little as he sat down and said to Ash "Well I have been curious about it. It is pretty cool but I don't understand how you can". Ash hesitated for a moment "Eevee if I show you how I can, promise me you will not tell anyone. Because no one can know about it okay".
Eevee was curious but nodded "I promise Ash, I will not tell anyone". Ash smiled to him "Thank you Eevee". Ash collected his thoughts before he spoke "The reason I can understand Pokemon language…Is because I am… half-Pokémon". Eevee was surprised to hear that "What do you mean by half-Pokémon".
Ash nodded to him and then begun to envelope himself in energy. Eevee was confused as to how Ash was doing that but when he saw the end result he was in complete shock when he saw Ash emerge out of the energy as a Pokemon. Eevee eventually found his words "You…are a Pokémon".
Ash nodded his head and floated down "Yes, but only half- Pokémon, I have the form of a Pokémon called Latios who gave me his powers and form". Eevee managing to calm down a little looked over Ash seeing him as a new person. He looked at every aspect before concluding Ash was a Pokémon but Eevee smiled "That is cool". Ash, Latias and Pikachu were surprised by Eevee and Ash said "I expected a more shocked reaction then that". Eevee nodded "I don't know how you are a human and a Pokémon but I think it is pretty cool being able to be both".
Ash shook his head and then enveloped himself in energy again returning to human. Eevee sat down and asked "Why do you want me to keep it a secret". Ash looked down and said "Because I am worried people will think differently of me". Eevee was surprised to hear that "Okay, but I made a promise so I won't speak".
Ash patted Eevee and said "Thank you Eevee". Ash looked out the window to see it was dark completely and said "Well we better get to sleep now everyone. It is late". Latias and Pikachu nodded. Ash got on the bed and laid himself back and Latias turned around and laid herself against the other side of the bed and Pikachu came and lied down in the middle of them.
Eevee saw Ash turn off the light where the switch was right next to his side of the bed and he laid himself down "Goodnight everyone, got a big day ahead of us tomorrow". Everyone agreed and prepared to go to sleep. Eevee looked at them and smiled. He moved around Pikachu and saw a space in front of Ash. He leaned down and laid himself against Ash's chest. Ash was surprised by this as Eevee got comfortable and he said "Goodnight". Ash made a smile and Latias saw this too and smiled. She leaned her neck and planted a kiss on Ash's forehead. Ash smiled happily at her and gave the side of Latias's face a stroke with his hand before they both went to sleep as well ending the day.
The next day the ship had arrived at the final island before it would return to the starting island. It docked and was unloading passengers. Ash and Amy with their Pokémon were waiting to walk down. Amy looked to Ash and said "Well this is where we set off from here now".
Ash agreed with her and said "Yeah, I have something to do here then I return to Kanto". They all walked down the walkway on the ship until they were on the port. Ash Pikachu and Latias were all off and stood facing Amy, Glaceon and the Eevee. Amy said "It was nice to meet you Ash, and I hope you have success with where you go".
Ash smiled happily and said "Thanks I will. Ash squatted down in front of Eevee who he bonded with and said "It was nice to meet you as well Eevee. And I hope you all grow into strong Pokemon". Eevee looked sadly at him as Ash stood up and begun to walk away with Pikachu and Latias.
They were all waving but Eevee was becoming upset. He screamed out "No". Ash looked back to see Eevee run up to him and jump onto him and nuzzle him. "Please don't go". Ash was shocked to hear this and Amy moved forward with Glaceon "Eevee what is wrong". Eevee pleadingly looked to her and Ash asked him "Eevee, what is the matter". Eevee looked to Ash and said "I don't want to lose you, you're my friend".
Ash was surprised to hear this and set Eevee down in front of him and squatted down again "Eevee, do you…want to come with me?" Eevee quickly nodded "Yes, you're my friend". Ash was shocked in a good way but upon hearing Ash, Amy was shocked "Eevee you want to go with Ash". Eevee turned to Amy and nodded "But why is it". Ash stood up and said "I think it is because Eevee wants to choose what he wants to do in life".
Amy got down on her knees and said "Is that true Eevee". The evolution Pokemon nodded which made Amy aware. "I am surprised you have come to like Ash, and his Pokémon that fast". Amy then smiled "But I am not surprised as well. You always was an adventurous one". Eevee was waiting for an answer but Amy stood up and said to Ash "Is it okay with you Ash".
Ash smiled and said "Of course, I am happy for Eevee to come with me if you don't mind". Amy looked down to Eevee who nodded to her. Amy nodded and went into her bag, she took out a piece of paper rolled up and presented it to Ash "Here take this with you. I do want Eevee and all my Pokemon to pick their own destinies to follow and Eevee has chosen his".
Ash accepted the paper and said "So are you saying" Amy nodded and got back on her knees and held her arms out "I will miss you Eevee". Eevee smiled happily and accepted Amy's hug and they embraced. Glaceon approached them and waited for them to end their hug. Eevee looked to Glaceon as she said "Well little brother, do be careful, I will miss you. And be happy if this is what you choose".
Glaceon and Eevee embraced as well for a moment. Eevee then said happily "I will, I want to go with Ash, Pikachu and Latias". Amy then looked to Ash "Take good care of him Ash". Ash nodded and seriously said "I give you my word, I will treat Eevee as any of my Pokemon, like family".
Amy nodded with a slight sign of sadness "Okay, thank you Ash". Glaceon and Amy stood back to the other Eevee. Ash then looked down to Eevee and said "Jump on Eevee". Eevee happily jumped up to his shoulder. Pikachu then excitedly said "Welcome to the team Eevee".
Latias agreed with the sentiment and said "Yes, Eevee, happy to have you with us". Eevee felt accepted and happy nuzzled Ash who gave a small giggle before he said "Okay then Amy goodbye for now". The waving goodbye commenced again as Ash and the group begun walking away while they all waved to them and Amy shouted out "Goodbye Eevee, have a good time with Ash, we will miss you". Eevee waved back to them as the two groups begun to go their separate ways.
Ash looked forward now having a new partner on the team now: Eevee. Pikachu and Latias were excited now with a new team member. Eevee was happily looking forward. Towards his new life with Ash, his new Pokemon trainer and wonder where life was going to take him now.
Okay, well I pretty sure you can all agree with me here that Ash should have had an Eevee for a long time now. It felt right to have an Eevee on the team as everyone else seems to have an Eevolution on their team. So yes Eevee has joined the team and I intend to put him to good use in this story. And yes Eevee is a male before anyone begins asking.
Now the decision on the Legendary Pokemon will become clear shortly. Look forward to it. See you next chapter.
