A/N: Hi, everyone! I just want to start out by thanking everyone who has reviewed and favorited my story so far. You honestly have no idea how happy it makes me. :)
I also want to apologize if I have offended anyone by my 'lack of knowledge' on addicts and their habits. That's not my intention. I have some basic knowledge about that stuff, but not a lot. But at least I'm honest enough to admit it.
I also don't have a lot of time to do a lot of research on the subject. But I'm doing my best to use what I DO know.
Also, if you are wondering why Edward doesn't have urges to use again or go to NA (Narcotics Anonymous) meetings, that's probably because I'm just starting to realize I forgot to add them into the story. OOPS! It's too late to go back and add them into previous chapters, so there will be a few here and there from now on. (If I can remember to put them in. Having ADHD sucks.)
And if anyone else is offended by my story, instead of being rude about it, perhaps you should just stop reading it.
Okay, now I'm done ranting. :)
One more thing, some reader's are confused as to how James relates to the story between Edward and Bella, so, in short, I think helping him just adds a little something to the story and gives E and B a reason to spend time together, even though they don't want to.

Chapter 38 - Ideas
BPOV
Once my first period class was over, I asked James to stay behind for a moment so I could talk to him.
"What?" he asked rudely.
I raised one of my eyebrows at him. "Excuse me?"
He looked down at the floor and said, "I'm sorry. I'm just having a bad morning."
I nodded my head. "I can understand that, but that doesn't give you the right to be rude to me. I didn't do anything to you. I just wanted to ask if you would be willing to come in during your lunch hour to go over something."
James shrugged his shoulders. "Can I bring my lunch with me?"
"Of course!"
"Cool. Guess I'll see you then."
"Alright. Do you need me to write you a pass, or can you make it to your next class on time?"
"No. My next class is right down the hall," he replied.
"Get going then. I'll see you later." He nodded once and then left for his next class.
By the time lunch rolled around, all I wanted to do was go home.
I was already having a rough day, and unfortunately, I was getting another headache. But I think that had more to do with some of my freshman students being immature.
My third hour class was currently reading Fallen Angels by Walter Dean Myers. The book is about a young soldier's struggles during the Vietnam War.
The reason why some of my students were being immature, is because the book uses the word 'fuck' in just about every paragraph, and apparently they find it amusing to repeat the word over and over again.
I already had to send two of them down to Edward, because they wouldn't stop, even though I had asked them to.
As I was going over some papers while I waited for James to arrive, one of last people I wanted to see right now, appeared in my doorway.
"Hi, Bella!" she chirped, as she bounded over and sat down across from me.
I sighed. "Hi, Alice."
Alice frowned at my tone. "What's wrong?"
"I just have a lot going on right now and I also have a headache."
"Oh. I'm sorry to hear that," she said. "I guess you wouldn't be up to having lunch with me then?"
I shook my head at her. "Sorry. Even if I was feeling better, I couldn't. I'm actually waiting for a student to arrive to discuss some things," I explained.
Alice sighed and pouted. "Well, that sucks. Jasper is eating lunch with Edward, so I guess I'm eating by myself today. Maybe another time then? We really haven't had a chance to hang out at all."
I gave her a small smile. "Maybe we can do something over the weekend?"
Alice clapped her hands together quietly, and exclaimed, "Yay! We should totally go to Port Angeles and do some shopping. We'll bring Rose along, too. If we can pull her away from Emmett anyways."
We both chuckled.
A knock on the door got our attention.
I looked over and saw James standing there with a tray of food in one hand.
"That's my cue to go. I'll talk to you later, Bella," said Alice as she got up and walked to the door.
"Bye," I replied. James let Alice pass by, and then he walked over and set his food down on a desk before sitting down.
"So, you wanted to talk about something?" he asked curiously.
"Yes. I noticed that your tutor's aren't working out for you, so I wanted to run some ideas by you."
"I'm all ears," he answered as he took a bite of food.
"Well, since you don't seem to have a problem dealing with me, I thought that maybe you would like it if I took over helping you with your reading and writing skills. How does that sound?"
James shrugged at me and replied, "That sounds good, but what about my other classes?"
"That brings me to my other idea. What do you think about maybe having another student help you with your other classes?" I asked.
I really hope he says he'll try, because I'm not sure what else to do.
He took a few more bites of food before he answered me. "Honestly? I don't know. Do you really think that could help me?"
I shrugged at him. "We won't know unless you try it, but I think it could. I just figured that having someone your own age explain something to you, might be easier for you to understand."
"Okay, I'll try it. Who's going to do it?"
I reached over and grabbed the list of my desk and took it over to him. "Here's a list of students who are the best candidates. I think it would be more beneficial if you choose who helps you."
As he looked over the names, he made little comments here and there about how they wouldn't work, until he reached the end of the list.
"Bree Tanner," he said out loud. "She'll do."
"Really?" I asked, surprised at his answer.
"Yeah. She's like, super shy and quiet, so I know she won't tell anyone I need help. I do have a reputation to uphold, so I can easily tell people she's doing my work for me, if they ask," he explained.
I frowned. "That's...not very nice, but as long as your nice to her and she doesn't mind that, then...okay?" I responded, unsure if this is a good thing now.
I looked at the clock and saw there was about 15 minutes left until the next class period starts.
"Well, I guess I'll be seeing you after achool on Monday's, Wednesday's, and Friday's. And you can keep the same times for the help for your other classes, and I'll let Bree know when she can meet up with you, okay?"
"Cool."
"Also, I'm letting you off the hook for today's tutoring, because I'm not feeling so great. So enjoy the rest of your day. Now you still have some time to see your friends before your next class, so I suggest you get moving."
James smiled at me. "Thanks...for everything." Then he picked up his tray and left the room, leaving me surrounded by silence, at least for the next few minutes.
As much as I love my job, I can't wait for this day to be over.
A/N: I know this isn't my best work, but it's all I got. I had a bit of writer's block while trying to write it, so it will have to do. Sorry.
Also, I came up with a new idea for a story, but I haven't started writing it yet. I won't tell you what its going to be about, but it will involve a theme that's kind of unusual.
See you soon!
