A/N: I'm back! From the most amazing ten days in my entire life :) I got to meet and spend time with my girlfriend :) celebrated our nine month anniversary and saw PP2 :) It was perfect :)

Now, story time!

I don't own pitch perfect or any of its characters. I only own the story line.

Chloe lay curled in a ball, leaning against Beca on the living room couch. Her tears flowing steadily, her eyes locked on something across the room.

Beca began running her fingers through her hair when they first sat down, and it seemed to calm her. She was no longer sobbing. No sound came from her at all.

Aubrey was in the kitchen trying to get ahold of the officer that had come over a few days before. She needed to know exactly what was happening.

Stacie stood at the stove, making Chloe a cup of hot Chamomile tea, hoping it would relax her.

Beca didn't know what to say, which was fine, her being there, holding her, gently stroking her hair, was exactly what Chloe needed.

Stacie walked back in, handing her the glass, telling her it would make her feel better. She slowly sat up, not moving away from the comfort of Becas touch, and gingerly sipped it.

Stacie sat next to them. "Are you okay, Chloe?" She asked gently. Knowing the answer, but hoping she could make her feel better.

"It's because of me, because I went through with the charges. I know it." She said, her voice cracking.

"That's not true," Beca said and Chloe turned to her. "It's not your fault, you didn't tell him to do it, you didn't want him too. He made this choice, Chlo."

Stacie smiled softly at her, knowing this was definitely new for Beca, but she was handling it perfectly.

"He's gone," she said softly.

Beca blinked sadly, and looked down for a moment. Then looked back up. "I know what you're doing, because I've mastered it. You are not to blame, not one bit. Absolutely nothing you did, or could have done would have stopped this. Would have stopped him. It was out of your control, how were you to know?"

Chloe smiled softly at her, though her lips trembled. Beca leaned in, kissing her forehead, and gently guided her head back down. She nuzzled her face into Becas neck and that's where she stayed until Beca felt her breathing slow.

Aubrey came back in a while later, her own eyes slightly red, telling them she too, had been crying.

Stacie stood up, wrapping her in a hug before they both curled up in one of the chairs.

"Is she okay?" She asked softly. Stacie nodded, running her hand over Aubreys back soothingly.

"She is. Beca is taking excellent care of her." She smiled, placing a kiss on her hair. Aubrey smiled over at the two. Beca gave her a soft smile as she held onto her girlfriend. Chloe was a sensitive person, that's why Aubrey had been so harsh about Beca in the beginning. She didn't want anything that could potentially hurt her friend around her. Even if Bumper was too blame for the accident.

Even if he was a dirt ball. He was a person, and him taking his own life, hit Chloe hard.

"What did the police say?" Stacie asked. Beca looked up hearing Stacies question.

"That is was a suicide. He left a note. And that they won't be questioning Chloe, and she is to remain left out of this." She spoke softly.

Stacie had pulled the pony tail tie out of Aubreys hair and ran her fingers through it, loosening the braid.

"Are you okay?" Stacie asked softly. She nodded curling into the brunette, the feeling of her fingers in her hair relaxing her.

"I'm okay. It's just a shock, you know?" She asked softly. "One minute, we are regular college students and the next... Everything is turned upside down."

Stacie looked up to see Beca sadly look away from them. She knew Aubrey didn't mean anything bad by it, concerning Beca, but she was also sure that to Beca that is exactly how it sounded.

"You make sure they go." The voice was rough, nervous.

Jesse nodded, "I will." He growled, "Stop treating me as if I don't understand what's happening. I fucking got it, okay? They'll be there, all of them."

Mr. Mitchell shook his head, "I don't give a shit about the rest of them, you bring me that little bitch, Beca."

Jesse stared at him for a moment, they were close together, standing around the corner from the treble house. "What exactly do you plan on doing to her?" He asked.

Mr. Mitchell looked up. "That's none of your business." He said.

Jesse nodded. "Are you going to kill her too?"

He heard a sharp intake of breath before had grabbed the lapels of his jacket and slammed him against the wall.

"You better watch your tone." He warned. "I didn't kill anyone."

Jesse raised an eyebrow.

"No?"

Mr. Mitchell's eyes bore into his. "No. And unless you want that to change, I suggest you keep your mouth shut, and don't fuck up."

"Are you sure you want to go?"

Chloe was currently standing in her bedroom, fixing her dress as Beca braided her red curls into an elegant side braid.

"I'm sure, Chlo. You want to be there, and I want to be with you. I won't go, if you don't want me too, but I'd be happier if I did." She said as she finished the braid and gently turned her girlfriend by the shoulders.

It had been four days, since Bumper had been found, and it was the day of the funeral. The first day of spring break. Chloe wanted to go, she said if she didn't go, she would feel like a coward. Aubrey protested, and Stacie supported them both, easily seeing both sides. Beca, didn't care either way, as long as Chloe was happy, and she was by her side, it didn't matter if they went or not.

The trebles we're going to be performing a song, and Donald asked if the Bella's would like to dedicate anything to him. Not having time to prepare, they politely declined. Donald didn't take it personally, he understood.

Now as Stacie and Aubrey got ready in Aubrey's room, Chloe and Beca just finished in Chloe's. Not having a dress, Chloe leant one of her more modest black dresses to her younger girlfriend. It was slightly to big, but Chloe was apparently secretly a tailor, and easily fixed it, making it fit the shorter girl comfortably.

With a smile, Chloe wrapped her arms around her, holding her tight.

"Jesse might be there, Becs... I just don't want you to be uncomfortable."

Letting out a small sigh and relaxing into Chloe's warm embrace, Beca smiled. She hadn't been out of the building since they brought Chloe home from the hospital, and though the circumstances were not the best, she was relieved to be going out for a short amount of time, as well as being able to go with Chloe.

"There are going to be a lot of people, and you and Aubrey and Stacie. I know you won't let him do anything." She said.

Chloe placed a kiss on her head. "No we won't. This is very kind of you Beca."

Beca didn't respond, she didn't feel like she was doing anything great. She was supposed to be with Chloe, at this time. She was supposed to be beside her.

"All set?"

They slowly broke apart and looked to see Aubrey standing in the doorway. They nodded and Chloe slipped her hand into Becas as Aubrey gave them a small smile and turned to leave the room.

They met Stacie in the living room and Aubrey handed her the keys to her car.

"Would you mind driving?" She asked. Stacie nodded as she took the keys.

"Sure," she said leaning in to leave a chaste kiss on Aubrey's lips before opening the door and they all filed out.

Beca stayed close to Chloe as they rode the elevator and exited the building.

It was a sunny day, already getting warm, for only being around ten in the morning.

Once they were all in the car, Chloe felt Beca relax, and she looked over to see her hands fidgeting anxiously in her lap.

"You okay?" She asked, reaching over and taking one of her hands. Stacie looked at her through the mirror, and She nodded.

"I'm okay, just been a while since I was outside, and..." Chloe nodded.

"I understand, it's okay, we are only going to the service, then we can leave," she smiled.

"Okay." Beca agreed, knowing that that was probably a good idea. And through her confidence at the apartment. She was a bit nervous of Jesse being there.

Beca held Chloe close, and Aubrey had her other side as they all tearfully watched the shiny black casket be lowered into the ground. It had been a nice service, dozens of people, Bumpers friends, Family. The trebles.

They found out a lot of things, they never knew about Bumper, through the stories his friends and family spoke about.

Though he acted like a jerk, and let competition cloud his better judgement, he was a good guy.

The trebles performed a beautiful cover of the song Forgetting by David Gray, causing the people in the crowed to cry even more than they already were.n

Chloe had pulled Beca close, as Jesse was a part of it, and he had seen Beca as he stood in front of the large crowed. Beca looked down, not wanting to accidentally make eye contact.

Now, his parents, were dropping white roses onto the casket as they tearfully walked towards the waiting car at the edge of the cemetery. Others followed, and Chloe wiped her tears as she and Beca turned to leave. Aubrey on Becas other side, and Stacie next to her.

They had reached the car when Jesse ran over. Chloe looked up at the sound of the hurried steps on the pavement, and instantly pulled Beca behind her as he approached.

"Go away, Jesse." She warned as Aubrey and Stacie stepped up, both of them glaring daggers at the Treble.

He held up his hands. "I'm not here to cause trouble. I swear. I just... I want to apologize. This whole thing with Bumper, it's really...opened my eyes. I'm sorry, for bothering you, for behaving the way I did. I'm really sorry." He said.

Chloe continued to glare, as did Aubrey and Stacie and Beca didn't look up.

"Beca, do you think maybe I could talk to you in private for a minute?"

Stacie scoffed, "No, you can't." She said, opening Becas door.

He looked at her, "I wasn't talking to you, I was talking to Beca who is a big girl and can answer for herself." He said.

Aubrey was about to speak when Beca beat her to it.

"No." She said. "Go home, Jesse." She said, her voice sounding tired. She turned getting into the back, Chloe close behind her, as Stacie stepped next to Aubrey.

"Beca!" He called.

"Get out of here, Jesse." Aubrey sighed, annoyed with him already.

He shook his head. "I just need to speak with her really fast, it won't take long." He said.

"She said no, now beat it." Stacie said as Aubrey got into the car. After closing it she walked around to her side. Passing Jesse, she said,

"If you were smart, you would stay far away from Beca. As well as Aubrey and Chloe. Don't be stupid, Jesse." She warned as she too got into the car, before pulling away, rolling the line of cars out of the cemetery.

"You should have made her!"

Jesse sighed, looking down. "Yeah, because forcing a girl, much smaller than me away from her car in a cemetery in front of dozens of people, was going to go over so well." He scoffed sarcastically.

Mr. Mitchell scowled, folding his arms.

"Why didn't you just do it?" Jesse asked. He looked at him, his eyebrow raised in question.

"Why didn't I do what?" He asked.

"Why didn't you get Beca? Your her father, if people tried to stop you, you could have defended yourself,"

"Yeah, except that ginger bitch and her Posse would have intervened." He said.

Jesse sighed. "Well, instead of me bringing Beca too you, why don't I distract the other three, while you get her yourself?" He asked.

Mr. Mitchell sat back, his face thoughtful. He had a point, after all of the stupid shit Jesse had already done, it was a slim chance he would ever be able to get Beca away from them. Though, if he caused a distraction, just long enough, he might be able to get Beca himself. He smiled cruelly.

"Maybe you're not as dumb as I thought, Swanson." He said.

Jesse rolled his eyes, standing up straighter.

"Follow them, figure out something that can be used to get them away from Beca, just long enough. Don't fucking fail me again Jesse, because if you do, Beca won't be the only one running from this school when I'm through." He threatened, with a painful jab of his finger to Jesses chest.

He turned and walked away, leaving the freshmen rubbing the sore spot, glaring after him.

Follow them. He sighed, wondering if Beca was seriously worth all of this. Sure he wanted her, he wasn't sure exactly what it was about her that made him want her so bad, maybe it was because she denied him. He liked a good chase. But, this was getting ridiculous. Dangerous. And her Father was definitely a phsyco.

He thought back to the time he found her coming from the showers, she seemed almost catatonic, barley moving, barley conscious. She was probably as crazy as her dad.

He was beginning to think this might not be that great of an idea.
