Chapter 68
"So you guys came after all. What a waste of the Dictator's repeated pleas for your lives." This voice was all too familiar, sending chills of dread down my spine.
'He didn't!?' I thought in absolute rage as we all turned to see not Yang Bin from the photos we had received, but the Dictator of Life from Second Life!
"YOU!" I hissed in rage staring up at the imposer.
"Oh course, me," Yang Bin asked arrogantly, smirking. "Were you expecting someone different? Say...Long Dian?"
"YOU MURDERER THIEF!" I yelled up at him, tightening my grip on Taste of Death.
"Call me what you will," Yang Bin stated arrogantly as he casually walked towards us. "I must say it was far too easy to turn his family and co-workers against him. It was like they were looking for something to be wrong with the old fool and when I framed him, they jumped on it without any proof—I was absolutely thrilled!"
I could almost feel Loli flinch at Yang's words which increased my fury.
"What a pathetic old man!" Yang continued, sneering at Loli. "HE was dying, but instead of trying to prolong his existence, he worked on that stupid game! Though he did create that wonderful NPC for me to use."
"DIE!" Loli screamed in rage as she flashed past me, charging toward Yang without hesitation.
"LOLI!" shouted everyone in shock and fear.
In a bind of an eye, Yang vanished, but I was already moving to back up Loli in her uncontrollable rage.
"At eleven o'clock!" Arctic Fox yelled, but I was already a second ahead of her as I slid next to Loli, Taste of Death out and ready.
Yang continued to smirking mockingly at Loli and me, taunting us, but I knew that since Yang had stolen Father's research on Androids that this fight would be very tough to win.
Loli snarled angrily and thrusted her lightsaber at Yang who didn't even dodged, but grabbed the blade.
I scowled as this was my proof while everyone gasped in shock and horror.
'That's right, people! He actually grabbed a light weapon that could burn though everything with his bare hand!'
Suddenly, a blur flew toward Yang Bin's hands which of course, he didn't pay it much attention—since even a lightsaber could not harm him, what was there for him to worry about?
However, dark red blood—or an imitation of it since that murderer wasn't human anymore—started to flow from Yang Bin's hands. Where that dark red blood flowed from, a flying dagger was firmly stuck—Arctic Fox's flying dagger.
For the first time since we appeared, an true expression of alarm appeared on Yang Bin's face, causing me to smirk.
'I found a weakness~!' I sing-songed in my head.
His eyes and his voice filled with irrepressible anger as he demanded, "How? How could you hurt me? My skin ought to be made of the toughest man-made skin available that even a light weapon cannot harm… Unless you old folks are lying to me!" Yang Bin's eyes slowly turned to face the group of the world's most talented people.
"N-no, we w-wouldn't d-dare lie t-t-to you." Trembling, the doctor who had spoken continued, "W-we don't dare to g-gamble with the whole w-world at stake! Following your w-wishes, we used the highest quality and toughest man-made skin! The fact that you just b-blocked a light weapon is the best piece of evidence for that!"
Yang Bin looked at them suspiciously before slowly shifting his gaze toward the person who had thrown the flying dagger—Arctic Fox.
Alarmed yet curious, Yang Bin pulled out the dagger as if he hadn't felt any pain and asked, "What kind of weapon is this?"
"It's a special weapon. I'm the only person in the world who has that weapon," said Arctic Fox indifferently.
Yang Bin laughed softly, saying, "Ha-ha, in the future, no one will have this weapon!."
Then, Yang Bin actually did something disgusting and insane. He stabbed his own stomach with the flying dagger. Just like that, the entire dagger went into his body. After doing this, Yang Bin raised his hands and shrugged, saying, "My apologies. Looks like your flying dagger will be in my stomach forever."
"You're a total lunatic!" I could not help but yell at him.
Yang Bin laughed even more arrogantly, making everyone shiver in horror and disgust.
Loli roared again and charged Yang only for Yang to backhand her and Ming who had followed her across the room.
"Wolf-bro, take care of them," I ordered. "Fox Zee-Zee, Zui, and I can handle him!"
"NO ONE! NOT YOU! NOT ANYONE WILL BE ABLE TO STOP ME!" With a deranged look on his face, Yang Bin looked at us and said, "You people are just some lucky children who have never gone through any hardships before. Why am I the one who has to die instead of you? I have been working hard for so many years. So many years of hardships, gone just like that… HOW CAN I BE SATISFIED WITH THIS!?"
"Even if it's like that, it's not up to you to decide whether others should live or die!" I said severely.
"Really? Even my own life was taken away so easily, so why can't I take away others' lives too?" Yang Bin smiled faintly; it was a smile full of malice and blood thirst.
He's going to attack soon! My heart skipped a beat.
Arctic Fox, who had slipped up next to me while Yang ranted, suddenly stuffed something into my belt and whispered quickly, "I have three flying daggers, Blood Demon, but I need you to cooperate with me in order to subdue Yang Bin."
I nodded, my mouth twitching slightly at the name Arctic called me. No matter what, I had to help him. Otherwise, all the people behind me would probably lose their lives.
"Wicked, please support us. Although light guns cannot hurt him, they can still hinder his movement," muttered Arctic Fox, his mouth barely opening as he spoke.
"Got it," said Wicked in a low voice.
Deep breath, OK! I shouted, "Yang Bin, YOUR OPPONENT IS ME!"
I raised Taste of Death, planning on giving Arctic Fox an opening that he could use the daggers.
'Alright, Cloud, this is real life and you cannot hesitate! People's lives are depending on you!' I thought to myself before willingly slipped into my berserker state.
During the two weeks of training with everyone for this very moment, I had painstakingly worked on activating this state without me looking my conscious thoughts—and succeeded!
"You, a woman, want to challenge me?" Yang Bin revealed a look of disdain, as he had only contempt for the word "woman".
"That's right, challenging you is exactly what I want to do." I mocked him slightly.
Yang Bin's eyes narrowed, and without saying anything more, he immediately leaped toward me. His weapons were the same palms that caught Loli's lightsaber and were very dangerous, so I knew that I must avoid a direct confrontation with Yang Bin. I dodged to the side, making Yang Bin's attack miss. However, Yang Bin's reflexes were inhumanly good with no fighting experience…
We checked.
Yang Bin did not even stop. He simply rotated his body by ninety degrees and charged toward me again. I dodged Yang Bin's palms again, but a sudden strong gust of wind suddenly hit my stomach…
Dang it, I getting slow! There was no way to dodge, so I had no choice but to endure his kick if it made contact…
The sound of several gunshots rang out, causing Yang Bin to pause for a moment and I used that hesitation to leap away. I instantly understood that Wicked was restraining Yang Bin, and I glanced at Arctic Fox — out eyes met and I nodded.
Create the best opportunity for Arctic Fox to strike! I made my decision and pulled out the flying dagger in my belt. I waved the dagger in front of Yang Bin on purpose, and observed the change in his expression with satisfaction.
Holding the dagger tightly, I taunted Yang Bin on purpose, "Yang Bin, let's have a bet. We'll bet on this last attack, whether you die or I perish."
Anger flashed across Yang Bin's eyes.
Moving as quickly as I could, I charged toward Yang Bin, hoping that Arctic Fox would seize the opportunity to stab Yang Bin while his attention was completely focused on me.
"Prince, don't…" Zee-Zee suddenly warned me.
But how can I stop now? Yang Bin's full attention is on me, so I must keep going! This thought flashed across my mind. In the next moment, just as Yang Bin and I were about to clash… Yang Bin suddenly disappeared, and I swung my weapon at thin air!
Suddenly, I heard a grunt behind me. Yang Bin had actually gone and attacked Arctic Fox, and Arctic Fox's body was slowing sliding down to the ground, but I didn't let the shock overwhelm me as I lashed my hand out, shooting my dagger into Yang's leg.
"AAHH!" Yang shouted in rage as he leg gave out and Arctic Fox used the momentum to shove him away.
"Haaaaa!" Nan Gong Zui suddenly jumped down onto Yang Bin's body from above, a light gun in his hand. However, the difference between him and Wicked was that his gun barrel was in contact with Yang Bin's body, and it was pointed directly at his heart. BANG! Zui fired without hesitation.
Yang Bin stood still as bright red blood slowly flowed out of the gunshot wound.
"Ugh!" Regret showed in Nan Gong Zui's eyes. It was very vexing for him that a shot fired right next to Yang Bin's heart still could not stop him.
Yang Bin stabbed Nan Gong Zui with my thrown dagger, aiming to push the dagger all the way into Zui's chest. If Zui hadn't dodged to the side at the last moment, this dagger would undoubtedly have pierced his heart. However, his current situation was not much better than having his heart pierced.
The flying dagger penetrated Zui's shoulder, going right through him and even pinning him to the wall. Zui's face was shockingly pale, and cold sweat flowed down his face. However, even though it was so painful that his face had contorted, Zui absolutely refused to let out any cry of pain.
"Zui!" I yelled in horror as Arctic Fox wasn't moving on the ground and Zui was currently pinned ot the wall.
Yang Bin glanced at me and Zee-Zee coldly. However, the people he walked toward were not us, but the group of more than twenty professors, doctors, and scientists… With one punch, he sent an old man with a white beard—Zee-Zee's professor—flying. Right after that, a communication device suddenly appeared in his hand.
Yang Bin smiled icily, saying, "Are you trying to contact the outside world for help? I will let your wish come true." Yang Bin snapped his fingers.
None of us had forgotten that besides having a ridiculously strong body, Yang Bin could also move freely around the Internet.
A snap of his fingers could mean that… a nuclear missile has been fired? I tensed at the thought.
There are now four CCTV cameras that have been rotated a full three hundred and sixty degrees in this room. From now onward, a video of everything that happens here will be sent to every broadcasting station in the world. All the television channels will show only what is going on here." Yang Bin smiled brilliantly, saying, "Happy now? Your lifeless bodies will be seen by the whole world."
What a psycho. Worried, I glanced at Arctic Fox, who was lying on the ground with his situation still unknown, and Zui, who was pinned to the wall. Both of them desperately needed treatment. We couldn't afford any more delays.
"Zee-Zee, we have to save the two of them," I said resolutely.
"I will save them, you stay here and don't follow me," replied Wicked without hesitation.
"Like H*** I am." I snarled, not taking my eyes off Yang.
"Prince…"
Yang Bin said coldly, "Why argue? I can just go over there instead, right?" After saying that, Yang Bin really charged at us. I immediately raised the last flying dagger in my hand, which was the only thing that could penetrate Yang Bin's skin…
"Yang Bin!" A familiar voice suddenly rang out like thunder.
Yang Bin instantly stopped and turned his head around to look. The enormous airship to the side had begun to move with Gui standing in its cockpit. The image of two people also suddenly appeared on the transparent glass of the cockpit—Sunshine and Kenshin.
"Prince!" shouted Sunshine, worried.
"Stop right where you are, Yang Bin." With a voice so icy that it could chill people's hearts, Kenshin said, "You cannot win so don't even try."
"Oh? And how will you defeat me?" asked Yang Bin with a cold expression on his face.
"We will crush your artificial body using this airship. Although you can escape into the online world, Sunshine and I will trap you inside Second Life and infect it with several viruses that will delete everything." Kenshin described his plan while remaining absolutely calm and composed.
Yang Bin's face had also changed noticeably. He said viciously, "Do you two think that you can escape from the virus?"
"We already have an exit." said Kenshin frankly.
On hearing Kenshin's indifferent tone, Yang Bin stood there silently, as if he were thinking about something.
Worried, I looked at Arctic Fox, who was still lying on the ground, and Nan Gong Zui, whose face was becoming paler and paler.
I slowly leaned towards Zee-Zee and whispered, "Slowly, and I mean slowly, go over and take Fox and Zui to Wolf-bro."
"But-!"
"Now!" I said angrily when Yang Bin suddenly moved. He was so fast that I didn't even have time to respond as he grabbed my throat with one hand and sent Zee-Zee flying with the other.
Unable to breathe properly, I desperately clawed at Yang Bin's hands with my own two hands. However, skin that could not even be harmed by light weapons was obviously not going to be scratched by my nails.
On the other hand, Kenshin fell silent and Gui froze, both unsure of what to do now.
I grimised in pain as I glanced around. There was blood everywhere — Loli's, Arctic Fox's, Nan Gong Zui's... And Zhou and Gui were bring threatened.
'My comrades have fallen and are bring threatened! I g-guess it time to use my trump card..' I thought in agony.
"E-Eric…" I choked desperately.
A/N AAAANNNNNNNNDDDDDDD ...
I'll keep going. Laugh :D
Chapter 69
At my call there was a sudden blur and Yang was blasted away from me as I dropped to the ground, coughing madly.
Looking up I found Eric in all his android glory.
"WHAT ARE YOU?!" Yang yelled in fury at how easily Eric had swatted him away from me.
"What? Don't recognize me, Assistant?" Eric responded softly as he stood between Yang and me.
"You! I see you also gained yourself a body, Dictator of Life. " Yang's eyes widen in shock before smirking in what he thought to be triumph. "Come! As your creator, obey me! Kill that insignificant worm at your side!"
"Wrong." I said as I stepped out from behind Eric. "You did not create the NPC program code name: Dictator of Life!"
Seeing Yang shocked, enraged face, I pointed a finger at him while declaring, "I declare Yang Bin to be nothing more then a thief, a liar, and a murderer! Yang Bin in his quest for immortality began to conduct disgusting experiments which involved trapping real humans into Second Life programming! When that wasn't enough to achieve his stupid quest for immortality, he turned his attention to a NPC—an independent NPC that Long Dian brought into the game as a security measure because Long Dian had long known that Yang Bin plotting to murderer him!"
"You really think you can stop me?!" Yang mocked in arrogance. "I have long perfected my android body! There's no way you can stop me!"
"I am Prince also known as the Blood Elf, Leader of Odd Squad! Lord of Infinite City and Second Life's Spokesperson! I am Central Continent's Bloody Overlord and Leader of Execution Squad!" I announced boldly before pulling out the last dagger. "These are my hard earned titles and I WILL finish what I started!"
In a flash, I appeared in front of Yang Bin, moving with a speed comparable to his as I began attacking Yang's weak points. Even Yang with all his bragging of "perfecting his android body", he barely made any changes since stealing it from my father's workshop.
So I knew where to strike so to make his android body completely useless to him, but I started to slow as my body screamed out in pain.
'KEEP GOING! KEEP GOING!' I screamed at myself, pushing my body harder...faster...
My flying dagger clashed at lightning speed with Yang Bin's hands. With his bare hands, Yang Bin was defending against a flying dagger that could actually hurt him, so naturally, he did not stand to benefit. Soon, his hands were completely stained with blood.
Obviously realizing that he wouldn't win if I continued hitting his weak points, a devious look appeared in Yang Bin's eyes.
Before I could even figure out what he was planning to do, Yang Bin, who had been previously avoiding the flying dagger, suddenly took the initiative and moved his hands toward the flying dagger that I was holding.
'Crap!' I thought in horror as my flying dagger became stuck in one of his palms, at the same time his other hand was lunging toward my stomach. Knowing that if the blow landed solidly on me I would probably never get up again, I had no choice but to let go of the flying dagger and dodge in the same direction as Yang Bin's attack. This was the only way to successfully avoid most of the damage caused by Yang Bin's terrifying strength.
However, the remaining force of the attack was bad enough. The immense pain in my stomach made my face turn deathly pale.
The extra energy, sent me sliding away from Yang where I crouched in pain.
Without the flying dagger, I knew I wouldn't be able to defeat Yang completely and judging from Yang's triumph smirk that he flashed me as he pulled the flying dagger out of his palm, twisted it until it was like a screw and tossed it aside.
Panting, I straightened slowly using Taste of Death as a crutch, but as I did so, I glance out of the corner of my eye to see a pool of blood where Arctic Fox once was, lying on the ground…
"I have three flying daggers."
This sentence suddenly sprung up in my mind, my eyes widening out of Yang's sight. Three daggers!
I took a deep breath, shoved my pain away before charging at Yang recklessly. When he noticed that I was wielding a simple lightsaber, a smile of disdain appeared on his face.
I made a show of slashing at Yang Bin with the lightsaber multiple times, blows which Yang easily blocked using his hands, like I had expected. However, my goal was not to defeat Yang with a lightsaber. What I want to do is… Once Yang Bin let down his guard, I used the lightsaber and sliced into the old wound in his stomach… causing the wound to immediately split open.
"You!" Furious, Yang Bin slammed his fist onto my back. This blow landed solidly, and blood instantly sprayed out of my mouth like a fountain…
I sank to my knees right in front of Yang Bin. Someone who did not know what was going on might've actually thought that I was prostrating myself before him.
"So, Prince, you still lost in the end." Yang Bin smiled cruelly, saying, "Now, I'm going to make you die a very painful death. Count it as my return gift for when you made the Dictator revolt against me."
I had lost too much blood and my consciousness was beginning to fade, but I was only one step away from success. I cut my thigh with the lightsaber, the new pain bringing me to my senses. After that, I stuck my hand into the wound in Yang Bin's stomach without hesitation.
"Hmph, you wouldn't happen to think that you can hurt me with just your hands, right?" Yang Bin laughed, but as if remembering something, he added, "Don't think that I have any organs for you to injure. My organs are there just for show; they do not serve any purpose."
I managed to find a hard object while searching around inside Yang Bin's stomach. In an instant, I pulled it out, stood up, tightened my grip on Arctic Fox's flying dagger and slashed at Yang Bin's neck with all my strength…
Thunk!
I panted heavily a bloody dagger in my hand as the now headless Android collapsed to the side.
"And off with your head..." I whispered, fighting to keep my eyes open. "K-Kenshin..."
"Yang Bin… is dead. "Kenshin said in return, knowing what I wanted.
I lost the strength to speak, so I just turned my head and looked at Kenshin, asking him a wordless question.
"The two of us have been constantly monitoring him, and he has not returned to the online world. "Kenshin simply stated what he knew.
"Sigh, he's still human after all. When he saw his own head fall onto the ground, he instinctively thought that he was dead. Just like that, his consciousness also vanished," sighed Sunshine.
"Quickly… save… my…companions..." I wheezed desperately, before finally becoming enveloped in darkness.
As the now known Bloody Prince collapsed to the ground spent, the world looked on. What everyone had forgotten was that Yang Bin had originally wanted the entire world to see the would-be heroes lifeless bodies. However, his plan had backfired and the whole world witnessed the epic battle between the terrorist and Prince: the Lord of Infinite City in Second Life — the Blood Elf Prince!
Lolidragon's wish finally came true for no one would ever find out who the real Prince was, but the legend of the Prince who saved the whole world would always remain… becoming an Eternal Legend!
