"Arima-sensei?"

"Ara? (name)-chan?" the voice on the other line looked surprised. "Is there something wrong?"

"Um- yes..." you voice came almost like a whisper, "Sei-chan's at the vet...and they put IV on him...he looks really weak- and it seems like they can't do anything at all..."

"Why? What happened to Sei?"

"He wasn't eating properly- he sleeps a lot and only drinks water, he doesn't eat his food anymore and he's getting weak. We took him to the vet...he was traumatized when they bathe him too...then they suggested to put an IV on him so that when he's not eating, he'll won't get dehydrated- he wasn't dehydrated at all when we got there!" you told Arima-sensei everything and Sei's progress.

"Why didn't you tell me earlier before you took him there?" he asked, almost angry at you.

"So-sorry-" you choked.

"I would've recommended another Vet I know. Let's see...I'll call you back later tonight, I'll call my friend about it first."

"H-hai- thank you sensei."

"No problem. Just calm down. Your Sei will be ok."

"Mm." You ended the call and you went to your sister's room.

"Nee-chan, Arima-sensei said we should take him to a new VET. Do you think it's ok, if we bring Sei home now?"

"I am thinking of the same thing too, Sei's not making a progress there anyway...and he's just getting stressed every day."

With that you both decide to take Sei home.

When you got to the vet that afternoon, Sei is awake but sitting quietly inside his cage.

"Sei-chan." You crouched down in front of him.

/meow

The usually quiet Sei responded when he saw you. He wasn't anywhere near happy when he saw you, but at least he wasn't glaring at you with his heterochromatic orbs unlike what he does to the people at the clinic.

"You look slightly better no?" you said to him as you pet his head gently...he liked it, you can almost hear his silent purring.

"We're going to take you home today ok? I'm going to take care of you from now on. So you better eat something or i'll get angry." You threatened.

Sei just stared at you.

"You really lost a lot of weight Sei." You commented when you lifted him up.

You flinched when you heard him 'meow' out in pain.

"Sorry, Sei-chan." You mumbled, "Bear with me for a while ok? They need to remove the IV from you first." You said, as you walked to the examination table and with the IV in tow.

He looked up at you again as if pleading not to leave him there again, his paw was clutching your skin, since he cannot reach your shirt with his nail...you didn't mind little bruise here and there anyway.

Since Sei cannot move very well because of dehydration, he just lay down on the examination table as he quietly let the assistant of the doctor to remove the IV on him. You wrapped with a towel afterwards.

You really don't like caging him after that. He isn't the kind of cat that wriggles out of the owner's arms whenever you go out- so there is no problem carrying him back home.

Your sister bought the medicine needed for him too.

Sei snuggled closer to your warmth like a baby. You can see that he is still wary of his surroundings besides being weary. So you held him closer to you.

"Don't worry; I'll take you home now." You said to him, and then he closes his eyes.

You placed him on his basket when you got home and you immediately filled his bowl with water and mixed medicine on it before placing it in front of him.

Sei stared at the water bowl for a short while then later on, he started drinking up.

"He looked thirsty," you sister commented.

"He is. He just probably doesn't like the water there. Or are they even giving him water aside from the IV?"

"..." your sister didn't respond.

You sighed.

"Don't worry Sei-chan. I called Arima already, he said he knows someone." You said to him who just continued drinking water then you prepared him something to eat...a pack of wet food so that it'll be easier to swallow and placed it in front of him.

It took a long time before he started eating, and he only ate a small amount of it.

You frowned...but at least he took in something. Then he weakly walked to his basket again to sleep.

That night you didn't get enough sleep, you keep waking up to check Sei sleeping and giving him water but he just keep sleeping and ignoring you.

The next morning, Sei didn't eat anything anymore besides water. You started crying as you force him to even take a bit of his favorite food...but he won't. He would just look at you while on lying down on his basket...weakly.

At first it was ok, as long as he drinks plenty of water, but later that day he won't even touch his water bowl anymore.

With that you decided to use a dropper just to have him take something to his weak body...even if it's just water.

Your phone started ringing and your sister answered it for you.

"(name)-chan?" She heard the person on the other line said. "This is Arima."

"Doctor Arima?"

"Yes. I am Sei's vet."

"I'm glad you called, Arima-sensei." You sister replied, "I'm (name)-chan's sister- do you think you can recommend someone to help us with Sei's condition?"

"Ah yes, I talked to my friend just now, he's a great vet too. I told him about Sei already. So whenever you feel that you are ready, just take Sei to his clinic." He said, "Where's (name)-chan?" he asked.

"She's with Sei… feeding him probably." Your sister sighed.

"I see, I know what it feels like to have your pet undergo such condition. Tell her not to worry too much. Sei is a stubborn cat, something like that won't end him easily"

"Yes. Thank you, sensei."

"(name)-chan, Arima-sensei just called, why aren't you answering your phone?" Your sister entered your room and found you caressing Sei to sleep.

"Sorry…I can't leave Sei on his own." You murmured.

"Is he sleeping?"

"Mm-hm." You nodded.

"Good. We should have dinner while he's asleep." She said. "Tomorrow, we'll take him to the vet that arima-sensei recommended."

"Tomorrow?" you paused worriedly. "Will he be ok there?"

"Sensei said it was his friend. Don't you trust Sensei?"

"I don't think I can trust anyone right now; look what happened to him at the Vet where we first take him to." You grumbled.

"Do you think he can make it if he stays here?" She asked you back.

"…no."

"See? At least the vet where we are taking him is recommended by Arima-sensei." She patted your head. "Now, come-on." She pulled you up. "Let's have dinner so that you can go back here and take care of him again."

You stood up and followed your sister downstairs.

*catCatcatCatcatCatcat*

"Have you heard? The president of the Akashi corp. reacted last night from the medicine they gave him?"

"Yes, I heard it too! The doctors were celebrating when Akashi-san's finger moved slightly."

"I heard he's been in a coma for four years- I'm so happy to think that he'll wake up soon! Everyone was pressured since he was placed at the ICU."

"Who wouldn't- he is like one of the youngest influential person of the business world."

"Hey you three there, that's enough. Room 507 is asking for someone." One of the nurses came by and interrupted the ladies conversation.

"Hai, Hai! Coming!" and the three nurses scattered around and returned to their own station.

"How is he Doctor?" the old man asked.

"He's doing well lately. Though the sudden increase of his heart rate surprised us all the other day." The doctor said to Akashi's father.

"I'm glad that his body is still active." His father sighed.

"Of course, Akashi-san." The doctor assured him, "Your son's body is in good condition to be honest. Aside from the stitches and operation we did when he was first brought here, everything is perfect."

"He is just the only one who seems to be enjoying his sleep."

"Do you think he's dreaming of something?"

"We don't know about that. But probably, yes." The doctor answered. "Science aside, Akashi-san…there are some cases where the it was said that the spirit of the patient wonders around and they say they sometimes see their bodies lying on the bed…and their families crying for them to comeback…

…of course, as a doctor, stuffs like that aren't easily recognized by our kind. But we really don't know right?" the doctor smiled at Akashi's father who just nodded at his statement.

"Don't worry Akashi-san, your son will come around soon… I know." The doctor assured him.

"I hope so."

*catCatcatCatcatCatcat*

The next day, you brought Sei to the Vet that Arima recommended.

"So this is your cat Sei?" the fat man asked; if you looked closely, he doesn't look like a vet, but somehow you feel comfortable in his clinic.

"Yes." Your sister answered, as Sei let him examine himself on the table.

"So I heard he wasn't eating at all?"

"Yes."

"Hm. Hello Sei-kun, I will be your doctor from the mean time, so let's be friends until you get better okay?" he talked to Sei with a smile then he instructed his people to bring him his stuffs.

"Are you going to put an IV on him again?" you asked.

"Yes, miss." He answered sadly, "If he isn't eating anything, then at least the IV will keep him up in good condition, if he gets more dehydrated, he might die. We don't want that now don't we?" You only nodded as you watch as the doctor held Sei tightly as he begun thrashing around to be freed when he felt that something is piercing his skin.

"Shh! Shhh! Sei-kun~" the doctor cooed.

You gently moved behind Sei and helped the vet's personnel to hold Sei down…when he felt your hand on his body, Sei calmed slightly and the doctor managed to tape the IV on his leg again.

"Now, now Sei-kun. It's almost done."

/Meowl~

You sighed when you heard his voice.

"Sei," you warned, "You need to behave ok? Doctor-san will help you get better."

/Meowl

When the process was done, they let go of Sei who walked away from them immediately and went to you. You forced him to stay down on the table since the doctor needed to give him shots of antibiotics to be mixed on his IV.

"We're going to sedate you cat for a short while, if that is okay with you?" the doctor asked.

"Huh? Why?"

"Because after we inject the medicine on his IV, he might start to panic, the medicine will cause a slight discomfort to the animals you see."

"Why is that?" you asked worriedly, "is that okay to be given to him?"

"Yes, actually, it's an antibiotic that will help his system fight the virus inside his body. If we don't inject this, it will take a long time for him to recover. And also, I don't think he likes anyone here but you…and we need to move him to the cage…we don't want him to hurt them."

"I- okay." You frowned, then in less than a second, when you thought that the vet is still just working on the antibiotic to be injected to Sei…you didn't noticed that they have already injected a small amount of sedative on his IV…the only thing your felt was that Sei was first standing, and the next thing he was slumping on your arms like a lifeless doll.

"T-that was fast." You commented,

"Yes. Only need a small amount for him." Then the vet injected the antibiotics on his IV.

"We'll take him from here, you can sit down miss (name)." the doctor assured you too that Sei will be just fine but it seems like Sei is already knocked out from the sedative they gave him.

You left your sister do the talking for you. And you stayed at the reception area to wait for them and also to rest.

You took a one last look on Sei's…you smiled at him slightly as if assuring him that everything will be fine when you saw his heterochromatic eyes look up at you…

You know he's already sedated…and probably groggy already…

"See you laters, Sei." Then you closed the door.

There were few people waiting at the reception too, you ignored them all and decided to just sit at the corner beside a man and his kid.

The young boy who is probably 7 is holding his puppy's leash. He smiled at you. You smiled back.

"Is that your puppy?" you asked at the small Dalmatian he was pulling around.

"Mm. Mommy said we should take him to the vet for his shot." The child answered.

"I see. My cat is inside. They're giving him a shot too."

"You have a cat?"

"Yes. He looks like a lion, but he has a different eye color"

"Wow~ that's so cool!" The kid was very amused by your description of Sei, until his father told him to go to his mother for his puppy's shot.

"So you are with your cat?" the kid's father asked.

"Hai." You looked up at the man, he has a long black hair and a gentle looking eyes.

"Cats are nice." He commented and you agreed.

"Dad, Mom wants you to hold this." The little boy came back holding a deck of cards and gave it to his father.

"Tarot cards?" You recognized the cards.

"ah, yes." The man chuckled. "My son seems to like playing with them too…with his puppy…more like: giving them to the puppy.' He added.

You chuckled at him too. Then suddenly the puppy came running to the direction of the men beside you and jumping to bite the cards from his hand, but failed when the young boy grabbed his collar and pulled him back inside.

"He seems like he loves the cards." You said.

"He does…of all the things." He chuckled then he accidentally dropped them on the floor when they slipped from his hands. "ah-"

You helped him pick up the cards.

"Here, sir." You handled him the cards that you picked, and he started fixing them.

"Thank you." He smiled at you.

"Mrs. Mibuchi, we need to give your puppy 2 different shots today…" you listened to the explanation of the vet to the young boy's mother about the shot they're going to give his puppy… but you ended up not listening since it was boring than staring at the man beside you as he arranges his cards.

You noticed that he left those cards that you picked up for him.

"You forgot this." You pointed at the card on the table.

"Oh yea. Thanks. This is your card right?" he asked.

"…Yea…I think so…"

"Let's check it out." He waited for your response and you nodded then he spreads them on the table across the two of you.

Ace of Cups.

Two of Cups.

Three of Cups

Six of Cups

'Eh? All from the same group?' you commented silently.

"Love." The man commented, "Mostly, Ace of cups predicts love. Two of cups is the stability of relationship of two people involve. Three of Cups is a sign to count your blessings and be thankful to everyone." He looked at you when he showed you the next card, Six of Cups.

"Six of Cups, represents the past and its memories. The present as a gift and the future with all its wonderful opportunities…and also sexual pleasure." He winked at you and you suddenly blushed followed by a laugh.

"And lastly the Emp-"

"(name)-chan, go see Sei before we go." You heard your sister call.

"Huh? Ah, yes." You immediately stood up and nodded at the man in apology. "Sorry, I have to go now, Sir." And he just smiled at you before you left to see your cat one last time before you leave.

"And lastly, the EMPEROR." He mumbled to himself with a smile…"So this is where you are."

"Reo~"

"DAD!" the man looked up to see his wife and son standing in front of him.

"What are you doing Reo?" his wife asked.

"Nothing, the cards fell down. And I found the Emperor. I thought I lost this card already that's why I let the dog have them." He chuckled.

"Why are you chuckling?"

"Nothing really. I just remembered Sei-chan."

"Akashi-san?"

"Yea."

"How about we visit him today, if you want." His wife offered.

"Good idea." Reo smiled to his wife. "Let's go."

When you take one finally look at Sei before you leave him there under the vets' care you noticed that his eyes were boring into you…sleepily though.

"Will he be better soon?" you asked as you caressed the cat's face and he nuzzled into your palm's warmth.

"Yes he will." The doctor answered, "As you can see, he fights. He is quite strong. The only problem is he doesn't eat. That is why we put an IV on him."

"I see." You mumbled, "Sei-chan, I will have to go home for now okay? I will get you home soon, so be strong. And fight." You reminded him. You sighed when you found him sleeping already.

"He's sleeping…we should go." You told your sister.

"Don't worry; we'll take care of him." The doctor said and you bowed at him.

"Thank you very much."

That exact moment, all the doctors in charge of Akashi are in their panic mode.

"Nurse! Call Doctor Akihiko!"

"Yes sensei." More running nurse here and there.

"What's the panic about?" one of the patient asked.

"Eh? Didn't you hear? The guy who was in a four year coma woke up and asked for water?"

"EHHH!? Four year coma~?"

"YES!" the other patient nodded. "My nurse told me that he acts like he just woke up from his deep sleep and casually ask for a glass of water."

"What a lucky fellow."

"Indeed."

*catCatcatCatcat*

"Akashi-san, I know you're tired of all the examinations that we are doing to you." The doctor said to him, the doctor has a very gentle face. He was like an angel.

"And you are?" Akashi demanded.

Seriously, since the moment he woke up, he was really cranky. There are a lot of doctors and nurse surrounding his bed as if he is something spectacular to see add to it, each doctor wants to examine him.

"Yukimura Seiichi." He introduced himself. "I am one of the doctors your father hired."

"Can you make the others go away? They are really irritating."

"I can do that…" he answered, "Only if you promise to let me check you myself." He offered.

"Okay." Akashi answered.

"Great." Yukimura then walked to the door and then told them that entire he'll handle everything himself. The doctors sighed and the others started murmuring about how the young doctor is taking everything from them just to please the young heir's father, these was all ignored by Yukimura.

When he entered the room again, he found Akashi sitting on his bed.

"Okay, Akashi-san, do you feel any pain?" he asked.

"No. I feel good actually. How long have I been here?"

"Akashi-san, do you know what happened to you, why you are here?"

"The car crash last June."

"One last question Akashi-san, before we proceed to examinations to your body…" Yukimura said, "Do you know the date today?"

Akashi's eyes moved to the calendar, "December 03." He answered.

"Yes, December 05, 2014" Akashi's expression didn't change when he heard the date, but Yukimura noted the faint twitch of his brows.

"2014." He repeated. "I was in the accident June 2010." Yukimura watches as Akashi fell silent for a brief moment.

"…"

"Are you okay, Akashi-san?" Yukimura asked.

"Y-yes." Akashi stuttered for the first time. "A little shock though."

"That's normal." Yukimura smiled. "Can I examine you know?"

"When can I be discharged?" he asked.

"You just woke up of coma, Akashi-san. We can't just let you go like that." Yukimura gave him a straight answer. "we don't want you back here for another reason if you we discharge you immediately."

"You'll probably have to deal with us for two weeks more."

"I understand." Akashi just closed his eyes. "There is something I'd like to ask you."

"What is that Akashi-san? You can ask me anything."

"Earlier, when I opened my eyes, I saw a woman." he started, "She was caressing my face…" Akashi said, "Is she one of your nurses?"

"A woman?" Yukimura turned to Akashi with a confuse look, "I'm sorry Akashi-san, but aside from the doctors, no one else are allowed to enter your room. Let alone to touch your face. You are quite in a very sensitive situation in your sleep, so we are not allowing anyone to touch you."

"Ah, is that so-"

"Would you like me to let the camera's be checked to know the woman's identity?"

"No- no need to." Akashi assured him.

"There is one woman though…that we allowed here inside but that was already few days ago." Yukimura remembered. "I believe she is your lover?"

"Lover?"

"Is she not? The woman with a (h/c) hair?"

"No."

"A relative maybe?"

"Probably."

"But I assure you that there is no one in your room earlier."

"I understand. I am just probably just seeing things." Akashi admitted. Yukimura just gave him a small smile.

"It's okay Akashi-san. Don't think about it too much." Yukimura advised him before he left the room to get Akashi's medical records so they can start examining him.

*two weeks later*

"I'm bringing Sei home today." Your sister said.

"Can I come today now?" you asked.

"No. just stay here I'll take care of him."

The truth is, since Sei was admitted to that clinic you didn't go and visit him. You feel like you'll just stress him up more with your presence. But you keep on calling and asking for the updates from the doctor via phone calls and emails. They reported that Sei is starting to eat on his own now and is starting to grow stronger each day.

And today, the doctor said that you can get take him home. You're sister is the one in charge of that. You wanted to come with her but she said, no.

"Okay, then." You sighed.

*catCatcatCatcat*

"You are finally discharged now." Yukimura said as Akashi fixes his coat properly.

"Yes, thank you for taking care of me." Akashi said to Yukimura.

"It's my job." Yukimura answered. "Remember the things that I told you. Don't strain yourself, we don't want you back here again...unless it's for your follow-ups." Yukimura reminded him.

"Yes." Akashi bowed to Yukimura and Yukimura did the same.

"Enjoy your holidays Akashi-san."

"You too, Doctor."

*~* Later that Day *~*

"Welcome home Seiiii~" you squealed immediately and rushed to the small cat cage your sister was holding when she came back.

You opened the cage and the cat inside it immediately leaped out and stretched.

"Sei~" you cooed, petting him. The car immediately purred on your touch and it seems like he missed you.

"Awww~ I missed you to baby~" you lifted up the feline and stared at his face. "What? Are you sure this is Sei?" you suddenly asked your sister.

"What kind of question is that? Of course that is Sei."

"But his eyes…his eyes is supposed to be Red and Gold!"

You examined carefully Sei's eyes.

It was Golden brown. Only Golden brown. No red…not heterochromatic anymore?

"Ah, yes. About that?" your sister remembered, "The doctor said it was just a medical condition and since he was under some medications, his eyes were cured as well."

"Hm? That's weird. I think Arima-sensei said that it was normal… heh~ either way, my baby's back! That's all that matters!" you cheered kissing the cat's nose.

"Oh by the way, can I go out tomorrow Mom?" you called.

"Where are you going?"

"Sai wants to meet up…and also we're meeting up with other friends." Your sister gave you a look when you mentioned Sai.

"I thought you and Sai are over already?" you sister mouthed at you.

"Yes. We are over…like already a year ago…but we go out as friends and stuffs like that." Then you turned away from her and went back to your room, Sei following right behind you.

"You want to sleep little boy?" you asked the cat as you opened the door for him and he jumped up to your bed and snuggled to the warmth of the pillows.

*next day*

"Akashi-sama! Please, your doctor said you shouldn't push yourself too much!" the servant called after Akashi as he walked to the garage and took his car out for a drive.

"Nonsense," he said, "I'm just going out for a drive Tanaka-san."

"But master-" the butler tried to stop his master from driving off, but it was too late.

Akashi drove carefully at the streets. It was like the old times. He just wanted to see what happened around while he was sleeping for four years.

"Nothing changed at all." He commented. He parked in an empty lot across the Akashi Corp and the employees was all surprised to see their boss steps into the building like he normally does four years ago.

"Ana, reports." He ordered the moment he stepped into his own office. The one named Ana stood up professionally she was prepared to see her boss today.

"Yes, sir." She picked up a couple of thick envelopes and walked to Akashi's table.

"Sir, these are all the summary of each transaction that happened in your absence, your father sorted everything perfectly as well… no problems at all. But I prepared them just in case that you wanted to see them yourself." She said.

"That's good." Akashi responded.

"And sir," Ana said, making Akashi look up at the woman standing in front of him.

"Yes?"

"Welcome back." Ana smiled, and Akashi couldn't help but return her smile with a small smirk of his own.

"Yes, I am back."

Akashi just spent his time at his office the whole afternoon. But later on, he left to have a walk around.

"Sir, are you sure you can do so by yourself?"

"Yes." Akashi brushed her off immediately and started walking…it was already snowing that evening...and Akashi felt more alive as he felt the coldness of the snow on his skin.

He stopped on his tracks when a group of girls came out of the coffee shop and is giggling about something.

"Please, (name)-chan! That was so mean of you."

"He was trying my patience~ I told him already I don't want to get back with him."

"But still~"

"It's his fault for pissing me off."

"You punched him girl~" the other girls laughed.

"Yes. He should know his limits."

"(Name)-chan, if you're always like that dumping boys…you'll end up marrying your sick cat."

"Hey don't say that, Sei just got out of the vet yesterday~ and he's doing well at home too. And I don't mind marrying him."

"Don't say stupid things~ I want to see you walk the aisle wearing gown and I'll be your maid of honor."

"What are you my mom?" the girls chuckled.

Akashi stared at the woman walking with (h/c) hair walk with her friends…and somehow, Akashi cannot stop walking after her.

She looked so familiar to him…even though he haven't seen her face yet…what was her name again?

Ah yes…

"(Name)." Akashi said.

You stopped walking and looked over your shoulder when you heard your name being called.

"Hm?" A man in his late twenties was standing there looking at you with his heterochromatic eyes.

There was a moment like there's only the two of you standing there and everyone was tuned out.

'His eyes are like Sei's…' you commented quietly.

"What is it?" you asked, interrupting the silence. "How did you know my name?"

Akashi just stared down at you.

"Your name is (name)." he repeated.

"Y-yes…and you are?" you asked trying to think if you have met him somewhere before- but he doesn't really look familiar to you.

"Akashi Seijurou." He said.

For the first time, Akashi answered a question of a stranger. He doesn't really talk to anyone he meets on the streets just like today, but he felt that he needs you to know his name.

"Akashi-san, how can I help you?" you asked again. But he didn't answer; he just stared at you as if waiting until you recognize him…

'Recognize me.' was what is currently running on his head at the moment…but then he suddenly realize something

'Why do I need her to recognize me?' and 'Who is she anyway?'

"…"

"Um?' you titled your head to the side as if waiting for him to talk…but he didn't.

"Hey! (name)-chan!" your friends called you. You didn't want to leave Akashi there but he isn't talking or saying anything at all.

"Um…my friends are calling me now… so, please excuse me Akashi-san…" you excused yourself and walked to your friends. They asked if you know the man and you said that his name is Akashi then you brushed off the topic as you and the girls continued to your way to the station.

While walking, you cannot brush the sudden thought of the probability that you have met him somewhere before…but you just can't remember where…

*catCatcatCatcat*

"Happy Birthday, Akashi-sama." The butler greeted Akashi when he went to take his car keys from him.

"Thank you Tanaka-san." Akashi responded.

"You father organized a dinner party for your 31st birthday at XXX restaurant he invited your teammates from Rakuzan, sadly he won't be around because he needs to fly to US for a meeting."

"I understand." For the first time, Akashi's father organized a dinner and invited his basketball team. Normally he would only organize big celebration for him and invite the people he doesn't even know…but today, even though it's just a dinner with his team, Akashi appreciates it very much.

"I see. I'll be there then." He said to Tanaka.

"Hai. I will inform the rest of them about it."

Akashi received emails and congratulatory calls from his colleagues and partners through his office phone. And few private emails and calls from the Kiseki on his personal ones.

"I'm glad you're back with us, Akashi-kun. Happy Birthday."

"Thank the gods you're ok, now Akashi-kun!"

"Happy Birthday Akashi, and I'm glad that you woke up finally."

"Happy Birthday Akashi. Don't worry us like that again, and please I don't want you back at the hospital ever. You caused a lot of pressure to the most of the doctors here; your lucky item for today is a cat keychain. Please have it always with you. I sent it to your secretary."

"Happy Birthday Akashi-chii~! Take care of your health! Don't drunk drive!"

"Happy birthday Aka-chin. I'm glad you're awake now don't sleep again like that."

Akashi smiled at the messages he got from them.

*catCatcatCatcat*

"(Name), Do you have time today?" your mother knocked on your door.

"Hm? For what mom?" You asked as he entered your room and found you reading your exam lectures while Sei is sleeping on top of you.

"You're spoiling Sei too much, look at him he's getting fatter and fatter."

"Isn't that good?" you chuckled and lifted up the now overweight cat.

"If you keep that up, your cat will die from being an obese." Your mother warned you.

"Nah, he will not."

"Anyway, can you pick up the cup cakes I ordered at near the station?"

"What are those cake for?" you asked.

"You know Shirogane-san?"

"Yea?" you frowned at the mention of that strict looking man.

"Can you deliver the cake to him?"

"Why me?" you asked, a little irritated, being with that man is really really awkward situation for you.

"Well…actually…" your mother's face showed a light blush.

"Ugh…" you groaned.

Well, the truth is…your mother and that man is dating…secretly. Well, that's what they thought they are doing. It's not that you hate the man, your father's been dead for like since you were five…and that man is making your mother happy….but what you didn't like is that he likes taking you out- like wanting to be close to you…and its really awkward.

…and you are secretly scared of him.

But all and all, you like him for your mother.

"Eiji-san wants to take you with him to small party."

"No."

"Please?"

"Mom. He can take you there anytime, I don't mind—but me being a replacement for you and attend a party is a NO. NO!"

"Please give him a chance, he just want to spend a time with you."

"In a party of one of his friends?"

"Yes, be good. It's just for today."

"Just today?" you asked her again.

"Yes."

"There won't be next time?"

"There won't be. So behave and act properly." You sighed in defeat as your mother threw a black dress at you.

"What is this?"

"Dress. You have to wear that, it's a small gathering with his old team."

You groaned as you change into the black dress your mother gave you and you picked your black flat shoes to match the color, then you picked your warm coat at the rack. You let your hair down because well…you don't feel like fixing it anyway. You went out with a simple look that makes you look younger- like a high school student.

"I'm 23 and I look like 19, uh~huh" you sang in front of the mirror before walking off to the cake shop.

When you got there, you saw Shirogane Eiji waiting for you with the cake on his hand. You approached him and greeted him.

"Good evening, Shirogane-san." You greeted, "My mother sent me to accompany you tonight."

"Yes. Thank you for coming with me." He responded.

It was a quiet drive from there to the restaurant and you also helped him carry the cake- well, more like you took it from him. Holding on to something makes you more comfortable than being on your own.

Shirogane is a nice person. You commented silently. He asked you about your progress at the review school. And he asked you if you are planning to teach after taking the examination.

"Yes." You answered.

Did I tell you how much you wanted to be a teacher?

Yes, you wanted to be a teacher. That was your goal since the beginning, and now that you already graduated, just one more step to go and you can teach anywhere you want- you just have to pass that exam.

"When you passed the exam this summer, would you like to try and apply to Teiko?"

"Teiko?"

"Yes. Teiko is looking for new teachers for their elementary and Junior High division. Teiko is just a station away from your place."

"I'll think about it, Shirogane-san." you answered.

"Good. Your mother seems to be worried that you might pick a school further from her."

"I understand."

"Good. Are you ready? We're here." Shirogane stopped in front of the VIP room of the restaurant.

"Mm."

"Just to let you know that this is a birthday celebration of one of my old players. You have also heard of him from the news recently."

"I'm not sure, is he famous?"

"Quite, yes." He answered. "The person who was sleeping for four years…" he said, and opened the door.

"I'm sorry we're late." He greeted when he entered the room with you walking behind him.

"Finally you're here, coach." They greeted.

"Akashi-kun, Happy Birthday." He greeted the red head and you stopped beside him.

"Happy Birthday, this is from Shirogane-san." You greeted him and you placed the cake on the center table and looked up at him.

"Thank you-" Akashi's word was suddenly cut off when he saw your face.

"…" You blinked up at him; you started to recognize him... "You're the man from yesterday with heterochromatic eyes…" you quietly said.

"Do you know each other, Akashi-kun?" Shirogane asked.

"Not really…but we met yesterday…" Akashi answered coolly and turned to you, "You're name is (name) right?"

"…H-hai."

"I'm Akashi Seijurou." He introduced himself again, walking and now standing in front of you, shook your hand gently.

"Finally, we get to meet each other formally." Akashi said and all you can do was nod at him in confusion.

"Thank you for your present, Coach." Akashi smiled at Shirogane who was suddenly confused at Akashi, "I like it very much."

"You haven't tasted the cake yet and you love it immediately?" Shirogane asked.

"Yes…that too." Akashi took your hand and he leads you to the seat beside his.

"Um…ano-" you looked back at Shirogane who gave you a nod and then back at Akashi.

"Take a seat." Akashi said, as he pulled the chair for you, and nodded at him.

"Is there something you like to eat in particular, (name)?" you shook you head in return, you feel awkward more when Shirogane took his seat not beside you but at Akashi's other side.

"Oh?" you heard a surprise gasp beside you; this made you look up at the taller man who was sitting beside you.

"Aren't you the lady with the Persian cat last time?" you blinked at him, and Akashi glared.

"How's your cat?" he asked, ignoring Akashi's glare.

"Ah, he's doing good now." You answered, "He's already cured."

"That's good. My son's puppy got a shot the other time, and I saw your cat was still there, but you weren't around."

"Oh, my older sister was the one who picked him up."

"You have a cat?" Akashi interrupted and you nodded at Akashi.

"Yes. His name is Sei."

"I see." Akashi nodded to himself. "I would like to meet your cat." He suddenly announced.

"Eh?"

"I would like to meet your cat, because I don't dislike cats."

"O-okay…" you sweat dropped.

The night was filled with question and answer courtesy of Akashi. He didn't let go of you until all his questions were answered. It ended up with Shirogane helping you by setting up a small date with Akashi and your Cat, Sei.

"So you're marrying her mother?" Akashi asked when he was finally alone with Shirogane.

"We were planning on getting married…but I'm still waiting for her to tell them herself." Shirogane said.

"I see. Then I'll be seeing you around mostly if that happens." Akashi said,

"What do you mean mostly?"

"Because I'll be asking for your step-daughter's hand in marriage."

Hearing Akashi's announcement, you choked on the drink that you were sipping, your eyes widened in surprise at that revelation.

"Are they talking about me?" you asked Reo who was sitting beside you.

"Probably." He smiled at you, "Sei-chan seems to like you the moment he laid his eyes on you."

"Why me?"

"I don't know. But you see when he settles for something, he is already sure that it's the best decision he made."

"Sei-chan is a man with a few words. And his few words are all absolute."

"What's that supposed to mean, Mibuchi-san?" you cried in confusion.

"Akashi, you just met her." Shirogane told him.

"That is why I don't want to waste time anymore." Akashi said, "I will get to know her better and the easiest way is through knowing her family and then her cat." Akashi announced.

"I have your blessing right, father?" Shirogane's face turned red from the way Akashi called him.

A/N:

Hi guys~

Yes, it's me. Yep. My cat was moved to VET2 he is still there at the moment. My sister called the vet and they said that he's already eating on his own.

I didn't visit my cat since we transferred him there.

And well, I really hope he's doing fine like what they are saying.

Back to the story, OH LOOK! Akashi woke up…and well…that escalated quickly…as expected of Akashi being his worky-self.

Look, did I mention Yukimura? Yes, Yukimura the demigod from Rikkai…yea… that's him. Oh, and Akashi is older than him yea…like a year or something like that.

I know he won't be a doctor so let's just ignore that fact.

YUKIMURA +DOCTOR = is a BIG NO. I know…but I needed to put someone with an angelic character there.

Anyways…Akashi is a OOC here well because it all my feels towards my poor cat. I hope he is doing well right now…

But since I got good news from yesterday from the VET…I will give you a lovey-dovey ending next chapter…

A/N2:

The tarot cards. Let us not apply all the rules of the tarot reading here. I just used the individual meaning of each card. I don't know what it will mean if it's combined together.
