Naruto: Rise of The Namikaze.
Chapter 37: Retribution, conflicted emotions, and a sister! (Edited 7/9/18)
Note: this chapter is a follow-up to the previous chapter with a surprise at the ending.
Afterward, the story will continue like normal, but this is important.
Remember, I stated in a previous chapter that Tsunade adopted Shizune into her family which makes her Minato's sister.
What happens at the end of this chapter, for those of you who think I'm going too far, don't worry. I got it all figured out. I planned ahead before I started this chapter.
Again, I apologize for the delay, but I've been so busy that I scarcely had time to write. So hopefully I'll have more time in the future.
Let's get started!
Naruto awoke, sitting upright in bed, blinking his eyes in the morning light that streamed in through his bedroom window.
It took a few moments before he realized he was totally naked.
He looked to his right and saw Hinata sleeping, she too was fully naked.
Naruto then smiled as he remembered the events of last night.
He gently shook her awake.
As Hinata opened her eyes, Naruto was the first thing she saw, then she remembered what happened last night.
She quietly spoke, "Good morning Naruto."
Naruto answered, "Good morning my love."
Hinata blushed as she replied, "Last night was amazing."
Naruto nodded, "Indeed it was. Last night was the best night of my life."
Hinata gasped before saying, "You did put up a sound barrier last night, right?"
"Of course I did. Why?" asked Naruto with concern.
Hinata replied, "I think I was a bit loud last night."
Naruto said, "Most beautiful sound I ever heard. And it's reserved only for me."
The teens got dressed and headed downstairs for breakfast.
Downstairs, 10 minutes earlier...
Minato and Maikeru were eating breakfast at the kitchen table with the others. Naruto still hadn't woken up yet.
Maikeru saw that his brother was troubled and asked, "Still worried about Naruto's state of mind?"
"What the fuck do you think?!" Minato asked rhetorically.
"Cheer up brother." smiled Maikeru.
"Whatever the fuck for?!" Minato said snapping at his elder brother.
Maikeru simply said, "Because, contrary to what you think, it is you who has Naruto by the balls."
"You can't be serious." Minato said as though Maikeru had grown a second head.
"I'm always serious. And how is it that you, the former fourth Hokage, have your own son by the balls, is the question I'm anticipating." answered Maikeru.
"Hmm." Minato said with a smirk, "Ibiki Morino has taught you well because you're right. How so?"
Maikeru replied, "Because Naruto said something that completely contradicts himself. And if you exploit it just right, Naruto's life is getting a major monkey wrench thrown into it and the only way to fix it is if he really changes his tune. All with optional help of course."
Minato was curious, "What did he say that merits such a devious idea?"
Maikeru explained.
Kushina and the others were worried about what they were hearing because they didn't want another argument like before.
10 minutes later...
There were footsteps as Naruto and Hinata walked into the kitchen. Kushina and the others had left leaving Maikeru and his brother.
They sat down at the far end of the table across from the 2 men.
After Naruto was done eating, Minato spoke seriously, "Naruto, I have to say. I'm extremely disappointed in you."
Naruto rolled his eyes, "What else is new?"
Minato replied, "Because by disrespecting me like you did the other day, you disrespected your whole family. You also dishonored all the previous Hokages and shamed us all. You are also contradicting yourself on your family."
Naruto snapped, "What the fuck is that supposed to mean?!"
Minato answered, "2 things. 1: You're pretty much related to all the Hokages. 1st and 2nd through Mito Uzumaki. 3rd, though not a Sarutobi, he treated you like a genuine part of the family. 4th for obvious reasons. And the 5th through the extended relation to the 1st. Do you honestly think the leaf village will appreciate a leader who disrespects his predecessors? And lastly, by disrespecting me, you threw that same disrespect towards your family. Which means that you may say you care about your family, but your words the other day say otherwise. Do you want to be a Hokage who loves the people of this village or do you want revenge against the people who hurt you? It's got to be one or the other. You can't have it both ways. I understand these people hurt you Naruto, but they don't know any better."
Unbeknownst to them, Kushina heard the whole thing and she was not happy. She knew what Minato was getting at, but now was not a good time for this.
Naruto was furious at what his father was saying, "So I'm supposed to let them get away with it?!"
Minato said calmly, "No. I'm saying to let it go."
Naruto shouted, "LET IT GO?! THESE BASTARDS HAVE MADE MY LIFE HELL SINCE THE DAY I WAS BORN! YOU'RE JUST AS GUILTY AS THEY ARE AND YOU EXPECT ME TO JUST LET IT GO?!"
Minato replied, "Yes my son."
Naruto glared at him, "And why should I do that?"
Minato said, "Because you're better than them. I have faith in you Naruto. As the old saying goes, if you love only those who love you, what reward is there in that?"
Naruto replied, "Try walking around this village disguised as me for a whole month, then we'll see how true that is. Besides, I've tried for 15 fucking years to change their minds, but no matter what I did or said, it never worked! If 15 years of trying hasn't changed their minds by now, nothing will! I'm done trying to pursue something so pointless. Get your damn priorities straight! And another thing, don't you dare question my love for my family again! Do you want me to be compassionate to those who hate me or am I just another soldier for you to treat like a failed test subject who has outlived his usefulness?!"
Minato looked like he had been punched in the face, then he said, "It's not like that Naruto. What I'm saying is you can't let the past hold you back like this. You're acting like you wouldn't care if the whole world went up in flames as long as your loved ones lived. That's just selfish. And a child isn't meant to be a shinobi. I'm truly sorry about your childhood, but you have to put the situation beyond vengeance."
Naruto shook his head, "You just don't get it, do you? I don't care about these people anymore. I feel no guilt at all in not caring. I never said anything about wanting revenge on these people. I'm simply going to ruin their lives and let them wallow in their loss. Retribution, to be exact. It's true when they say karma is a bitch. If all you're gonna do is criticize me, then I'm leaving. Sad to say, I was in a good mood earlier. So thank you for ruining my morning."
Minato said, "I know you're better than this Naruto. I'm sorry for ruining your morning, but you need to get your act together or it's make things worse for all of us. I don't expect you to take my words to heart right now, but please think about what I said."
Naruto sighed, "I won't apologize to you. I am not sorry. Your words mean less than shit to me." and left.
Hinata was also annoyed at this.
She walked over and slugged Minato in the face before leaving with Naruto.
Minato sighed, "Well at least they took it well."
But Maikeru had a bad feeling, "My feelings tell me that something serious is about to happen."
Minato felt a chill down his spine.
Outside in the garden...
Naruto sat near the pond throwing rocks into it angrily.
Hinata was watering the plants at the far end.
A voice called out, "Naruto!"
Naruto turned and saw Kushina coming towards them.
"Hey mom. Good morning." replied Naruto trying to hold back his frustration.
Kushina sat down with him on the stone bench and put her arm around his shoulder.
After a few moments, she said, "Naruto, about what happened back there."
Naruto groaned, "Uhhh. You want to lecture me as well?"
Kushina smiled, "Actually no. I'm here to tell you something. I've already forgiven you for that so-called disrespect. What I don't agree with is letting the villagers get off clean after how they treated you."
Naruto buried his head in his hands and said sadly, "I really want to punish them for that. But how am I supposed to get retribution on them when the very legacy I'm supposed to uphold force me to do nothing? Dad said if I even try, I dishonor not only him but my whole lineage down to Hashirama. So you tell me mom, how am I supposed to punish them without getting chewed out for it?"
Kushina answered, "You won't..."

"But I will."
Naruto's head shot up when he heard that.
"What did you say?" he asked, hoping he heard correctly.
Kushina repeated, "You don't have to punish them Naruto. Because I'll do it for you. Me, Shizune, and Tsunade. We had a talk after that conversation you had with Minato and we agreed that punishment and retribution was long overdue for you. Tsunade, Shizune, and myself will be your avenging angels in punishing these arrogant bigots."
Naruto was surprised at what he was hearing.
After a few moments, he spoke timidly, "Are you serious mom? You'd do that for me?"
"Yes." called another voice.
Naruto looked and saw Tsunade and Shizune approaching with a smile on their faces.
Tsunade ruffled Naruto's hair before saying, "I can tolerate that little disrespect thing from you. But letting what these people did to you slide, I won't allow that. Minato doesn't know Hashirama like I did. Being treated the way you were, my grandfather wouldn't allow that, my uncle wouldn't allow that, and neither will I"
"I won't either." smiled Kushina.
Shizune replied, "That goes for me too."
Naruto cried with happiness.
"Thank you so much!" he said while hugging them.
Hinata heard everything and smiled knowing Kushina, Shizune, and Tsunade would give Naruto justice.
Timeskip- 1 week...
The next week for Konoha was rather dramatic.
One day after that conversation, Kushina, Shizune, and Tsunade set out to punish those responsible for Naruto's bad childhood.
First off were the people who trashed his old apartment and verbally assaulted him.
They were attacked and brutally beaten to the point were their bodies would never be able to function properly again.
Next up were the store owners who refused to sell him or overcharged him for expired or useless products.
Their stores were ransacked and burned to the ground, their assets were seized, and the owners were beaten to the point where they were screaming all the way to the hospital.
All these attacks were done at night when Kushina and the others couldn't be seen.
The civilian council, some shinobi, and most of the villagers demanded that something be done about these attacks.
But Tsunade ignored them.
Finally were the parents who told their children to avoid him.
Tsunade terminated the fathers jobs, seized their assets, sentenced them to 5 years in prison, forced the mothers to work as maids in the Hokage tower with only minimal payments.
Naruto watched the whole thing from the shadows with Hinata all the while laughing and smiling.
When Minato heard about this, he wasn't sure what to make of it.
At first he thought it was a teenage punk causing mischief.
He walked into the Namikaze estate, entered the living room where Naruto was sitting with Kushina, Hinata, Sihizune, Yugito, Tsunade, and Maikeru, everyone was laughing.
Naruto spoke, "Seeing that bastard who kicked out of his store when I was younger all beat up and bruised like that. It was really funny to see.
When Minato heard that, he was furious!
He growled, "What did I tell you about revenge Naruto?! You have shamed our family! I ought to disown you right now!"
Naruto shrugged, "Why are you so upset? I'm not responsible for those incidents."
"Then who did it?!" demanded Minato.
"We did." said a voice.
Minato turned to see Tsunade, Shizune, and Kushina standing up.
Tsunade spoke, "We did it. All of it. And we enjoyed it too."
Minato was shocked!
"You've gotta be kidding me!" Minato said with doubt.
Tsunade replied, "No I'm not kidding. Kushina, Shizune, and myself became Naruto's avenging angels and delivered retribution to the villagers."
Minato said, "Maikeru, you said there would be no revenge."
Maikeru answered, "I told you Naruto wouldn't do it because of his morals. I never said anything about Kushina, Shizune, or Tsunade. We can't stop them. Not to mention, I told you to exploit it carefully, not throw a barrage of guilt trips and degradation at him."
Minato shouted at Tsunade, "You can't do this! It's a dishonor and a disgrace to our families legacy! A dishonor to me and our lineage!"
Tsunade lifted Minato up with one hand, angrily pinned him to the wall, and glared at him, "Now you listen to me Minato and you listen good. First off, who am I?"
Minato replied, "You're Tsunade Senju. My mother."
Tsunade growled, "Secondly, who's the Hokage around?!"
Minato replied timidly, "You are."
Tsunade growled, "Lastly, who is the head of Senju family?!"
Minato said, "Y-you."
Tsunade said sternly, "Correct. Listen carefully, because I won't say this again. You are no longer the leader of this village. You're not the Hokage. I am. I'm the one who calls the shots and makes the decisions around here. You do not dictate what I do. You've got a lot of nerve to use my grandfathers legacy to gain an edge over Naruto. You don't know what my grandfather thought or what he believed in. You don't know how he ruled in his day. You don't know a damn thing about him. But I do because I saw him alive. The way Naruto was treated, do you think my grandpa would allow that? No. Neither would my uncle. You need to forget about pressuring Naruto and work on how to earn his forgiveness. Since you lacked the stomach to give your son justice, you proved yourself an even bigger disgrace. I will not tolerate this Minato. This is your last chance son. If you try another stunt like this again, I will banish you from the family for 5 years until you learn what it means to take affirmative action. Do you understand?"
Minato nodded as Tsunade dropped him.
Kushina walked up to Minato and said, "What were you thinking saying that to our son?"
Minato answered, "Because of what he did to me last week. Remember how badly he disrespected me and those vile things he said to-"
Kushina interrupted, "He told you exactly what you needed to hear. That's all. Naruto was right the entire time."
Minato asked, "How is that possible Kushina?!"
Kushina retorted, "Naruto loves his family dearly. But he hates his father. And rightly so. You sold him out and disregarded his life when he was just an infant. Ninja work, that's easy. Keeping a family together, that's difficult. And that's the mission worth fighting for. And don't give me that excuse, 'Sometimes for the greater good, sacrifices must be made.' What point is there to serving the greater good if your own family has to suffer for it? They would only hate you, resent you, and despise you for it. The greater good is not worth the sacrifice of your own family. You actually think that this somehow justifies your actions when in reality, you probably would have done the same thing to any other one else in our family you monster!"
Minato was horrified at what he was hearing!
Kushina continued, "Don't you ever question Naruto's love for his family again! If all you're gonna do is criticize him and give him guilt trips, that just goes to prove that you care more about the village than your own son. Naruto has never lied to us about anything before. So he wasn't contradicting himself. He was saying only what he felt and how he felt. He gave you a chance to prove you were sorry and all you've done is cause more trouble! Cause all this... That conversation last week at the table... There was more bullshit coming out of your mouth during that one conversation! Just...! Ridiculous! Not happening. Disrespectful to me, your mother, your brother, the Senju clan, the Uzumaki clan, the Namikaze clan, your family, your friends, your son, and yourself! So, I'm gonna put a stop to it. And I'm gonna put a stop to it right now."
Kushina pinned Minato against the wall with her left arm and punched him 6 times before saying, "Oh yeah. After that comment you made about our son being a disrespectful little brat, Naruto told me to be sure I put one in there for him. so..."
POW!
"That ones for him."
After that, she threw him to the floor and spoke, "So. Just for the record. Whenever you're not getting chewed out or being beaten to a pulp by the people in this house, whatever year that happens to be, you can make valid excuses when you have valid excuses and valid reasons. And when you pay me back for my ruined nails which I spent 500 ryo worth of nail polish on. And when you finally earn Naruto's forgiveness for what you did to him, which I doubt will happen anytime soon considering you just made him hate you even more. Hope you've enjoyed your little fiasco in giving Naruto such cold words. Hope it was worth all this. Have a good day Minato."
Kushina turned to Naruto and said, "So how do you feel now Naruto? Are you satisfied with how we handled those idiots?"
Naruto smiled, "I feel great knowing justice has been served. At least I didn't have to do anything."
Maikeru stood up and said, "Minato, I'm getting real fucking tired of your pacifist nature. Despite everything we've told you so far, you're still acting ignorant to Naruto's past and behaving as if it's nothing serious. When in all reality, it's completely serious. Do you ever listen to anything I ever tell you? Do you? Because one of these days, I am not gonna be around to back you up. So you better start thinking."
Minato replied, "I don't like it anymore than you do Maikeru, but I can't allow Naruto to go around wreaking havoc on the village all because of a simple misunderstanding."
Maikeru glared, "There you go again! Putting the village before your family! What is wrong with you Minato?!"
Minato flinched a little at his brother's tone before saying, "Look Maikeru, I just can't bring myself to turn my back on the villagers. I mean, this village is where I built my legacy. These people looked up to me like a hero. If I turn my back on them, I'll be hated till the day I die."
Maikeru was not convinced and retorted, "15 years of being dead and you still haven't learned anything 'brother.' We lived together, we played together, we grew up together, we graduated together, we fought together, and we stood victorious together. Do you not remember any of that? Are you ever gonna grow up Minato? You have been avoiding your responsibilities long enough! You've literally got your head so far up your ass, you can't even see the cold hard truth! When you come to a resolve, then we'll talk!"
Minato bowed his head in shame, his brother had left no room for argument.
He couldn't blame Naruto this time either due to the fact that his wife, sister, and mother did all the damage.
He then decided to start trying to get his son to open up to him.
One of Minato's biggest problems was that he always wanted things to go the way he wanted like Jiraiya did, which wasn't always possible and was something he found hard to accept.
And he was aware that his brother did not share his enthusiasm for being judgmental.
In fact, Maikeru always seemed to have other ideals on his mind.
He wanted to encourage the teaching, but he did not want to enforce it.
"God is in the judgment." Minato once told him.
"Maybe your God." Maikeru shot back, "Not mine. Mine is in the wisdom."
For himself, Maikeru lived for the wisdom, because he learned very early in life that wisdom and knowledge can be very powerful weapons when used at the right time.
What most people didn't realize was that even though he walked away from his battles unscathed all the time, Maikeru had a history of winning through retreating.
Every time a fight broke out, Maikeru always took one round to analyze his foes and then a second round to win the day.
The battle with Hidan was a prime example.
When they fought the first time, Maikeru deduced that Hidan was immortal which made it almost impossible to kill him.
However, being immortal was also Hidan's greatest weakness.
This power led Hidan to believe he was invincible which usually caused him to underestimate his opponent.
Maikeru exploited this by cutting off Hidan's limbs which served to incapacitate him.
After that, Maikeru deduced that the only way to put Hidan down for good was to completely and utterly destroy him to where there was nothing left.
And of course, the only force that could possibly destroy something completely was fire, which throughout history has been proven to be capable of destroying almost anything.
Hidan's body was incinerated and his soul had been devoured by the Shinigami ensuring that he would never return.
Maikeru would exploit every possible weakness for maximum damage.
He was calm, calculating, humble in victory, and a force to be reckoned with.
The main reason why Maikeru valued his family more than anything is because he never really had much of a family growing up.
Both Namikaze brothers had grown up in an orphanage in Konoha.
It wasn't until Maikeru was 6 and Minato was 5, that they saw their mother for the first time.
Tsunade explained that she put them in the orphanage when they were young and had their names changed because it was a time of war and she was needed on the battlefield.
And because she didn't want to put them in danger from her enemies.
She promised that when the war was over, she would raise the boys and take care of them if they would allow it.
It was hard at first, but eventually, the 2 boys managed to reconcile with their mother and Tsunade kept her promise and raised them like she was supposed to.
This led Maikeru to being very protective of his family.
After the Kyuubi incident, Tsunade was led to believe that her entire family had been wiped out despite the fact that it wasn't true.
Maikeru had wanted to contact Tsunade and let her know he was alive, but he had other priorities at the time.
But all that was in the past.
At this point, Maikeru was determined to keep his family from destruction.
His family had nearly been torn apart twice, and he refused to allow it again.
He also knew about the whole Child of Prophecy thing from Jiraiya, but Maikeru would not hear of it.
Maikeru cared nothing about prophcies, he considered them to be nothing but fairy tales and folklore designed to frighten people.
Whenever Minato tried to convince his brother that Jiraiya knew what he was talking about, Maikeru always had the same answer...
"The future has not been written. There is no fate, but what we make for ourselves. The only one who can decide my destiny is me. We are not slaves or domesticated animals. We are human beings."
It was clear that Naruto now lived by that same ideal considering he no longer cared about the villagers and chose to live life the way he wanted to.
For Minato, all that had transpired over the last 2 weeks up to this point was a cold, hard slap of reality in the face.
Which is why we now find him atop Hokage mountain talking with Kushina.
Minato himself was forced to admit, at least in his head, that he'd wasted lives and precious time on a futile and obvious target.
And he would have to live with the consequences for the rest of his life.
His son's life was utterly destroyed, and it was all his fault because he cared more about the villagers instead of his family.
Minato finally had his eyes opened and saw the naked truth.
His whole world was in pieces, his family almost destroyed, and his son's life torn to shreds.
One thing was clear at this point, Minato needed to get his head out of his ass, stand up, and be a real father with an iron will like his brother.
The only problem was that Minato now felt it was too late to try and build a relationship with Naruto, mainly because the kid had lived without a father for 15 years and probably didn't need one anymore.
Minato said in a sad tone, "Do I even deserve to be called a father after what I did to my own son? How can I make amends when my son is nearly an adult now? How can I be there for him when he doesn't need me anymore? I admit that I was arrogant and ignorant in this, but it doesn't change the fact that I systematically ruined my son's life! Even though I want a relationship with my boy, the odds are slim to none. Naruto had lived without my love and support for 15 years! So what are the chances he would want that now? For all I know, he'll never see me as anything but a monster whose very existence is a constant reminder of the hell I left him to suffer in. I'll never have a father/son relationship with my son. Never. I was never there for him as a child, so how can I hope to be there for him now? It's too late for that. I failed him."
By the time Minato was finished, he was on the ground with tears streaming down his face as he cried and cried his eyes out.
Kushina sat next to him and said, "It's never too late unless you give up Minato. Naruto doesn't hate you, he just has trust issues because so many have let him down before. If you want a relationship with Naruto, you have to prove to him that he can trust you. Then he'll let you in."
Minato sniffled, "How am I supposed to do that?"
Kushina replied, "By showing that you're a man of your word, showing him love and support, and most importantly, proving that family is just as important to you as it is to him. If you can prove all that, I'm sure Naruto will see you as his father."
Minato now found his resolve, his son needed him and he needed to be there for him, especially with the threat from the Akatsuki that they were facing.
Minato spoke with conviction, "I don't care what it takes. One way or another, I'll prove that I'm the father he deserves. I'll mutilate half the village if needs be! I'll make him see me as his true father. Whatever it takes. That's a promise."
Kushina smiled while hugging her husband, "I know you will Minato. I know you will."
Minato had made a vow and he was determined to keep it from that day on.
We now find Naruto at training ground 41 punching a dummy in anger at what his own father did by degrading and insulting him.
Hinata was visiting Kurenai to check on her.
Naruto continued to pound, punch, and kick the dummy for 5 more minutes until he heard Kurama and Benihime calling for him to see them.
Naruto sat down in a meditative position to go into his mind.
Inside Naruto's mindscape...
Naruto approached the familiar large door that lay between him and the fox.
With a wave of his hand, the door opened allowing Naruto to see both of them waiting for him.
Kurama shrunk himself down to 6 feet while Benihime stood there with her hands in her sleeves. Both of them had genuine concern on their faces.
Naruto asked, "What did you want to see me for?"
Kurama replied, "Come. Sit down with us. We want to help you."
"With what? I don't need help." said Naruto pretending not to understand what they meant.
Benihime said, "Don't try and act all stoic Naruto. Both of us reside in your mind. We can sense your frustration and anger towards your father. We want to help you with it. That's why we called you here."
Naruto walked over to the trio and sat down with them.
After a few moments of comfort, Kurama asked, "Naruto. Do you still hate your father?"
Naruto sighed, "I don't know what to think at this point. Part of me still loathes him while the other half wants to have a father. I don't weather I should hate him or let him in."
Benihime replied, "Naruto, listen. We understand your feelings. We understand your hatred. We can feel all the things you feel."
Naruto started to cry as he said, "What am I supposed to do? He's the one who condemned me to a life loneliness and pain then treated me like a piece of trash who outlived it's usefulness. How can you expect me to let him into my life after that? I gave him a chance to prove he was sorry and he degraded me. What kind of father would do that to his own son?! Where is the love in that?! Because I don't see it!"
Kurama nudged Naruto with his snout and spoke quietly, "I know Naruto. I know. It still hurts me deeply to see your pain. All the shit you had to deal with because of me and my foolishness."
Benihime replied, "Everyone loses faith at some point in their lives Naruto. But we have to remember what we still have."
Naruto sniffled, "Like what?"
Kurama replied, "Well. You still have your family, and Benihime, and me. As well as your girlfriend and your friends who trust you with their lives."
Naruto nodded, "I guess that's true."
Benihime smiled devilishly, "I know you still don't trust your dad Naruto. But how about this? Force him to work his ass off to earn your forgiveness. Labor him into the ground before you forgive him. Make him sweat his ass off and slave until he's almost dead to earn your trust. You'll be able to torture him a little more by forcing him into hard ass labor and work to prove he's a man of his word. If he really is sorry, he'll sweat and bust his ass off to prove it."
Kurama smiled, "That sounds like a good idea. How about it Naruto? Drive him into the ground and make feel like what it's like trying to change someone's mind about you."
Naruto thought for a few moments before smiling, "That's brilliant you guys. Brilliant! I'm gonna love seeing him sweat his ass off like this! I knew I could count on you guys. You always know how to make me feel better."
The trio could smile before Naruto returned to the real world.
Orochimaru's hideout..
She sat in her cell waiting for her chance.
She was tired of this place and wanted to get out, she had everything in place and now she just needed the right moment.
As she waited, she heard her master say, "I can't believe how powerful that Naruto Uzumaki boy from Konoha has become. We must be ready if he comes here again."
Those 3 words grabbed her ears as she whispered, "Naruto Uzumaki? Konoha? That means that I have..."
Then her master said, "Time for bed. Tomorrow we will begin a new training session."
2 hours later, the halls were totally silent, now was her chance.
She reached into her pocket, pulled out a bottle of acid that she made with her knowledge of herbs and plants, and poured it on the door lock of her cell.
Within 10 seconds, the lock melted away and dissolved enabling her to open the door easily.
With her weapons, equipment, and her food rations in a sealing scroll that she put in her satchel, and her senses ready, she slipped out of her cell and made her way down the halls.
She knew the layout of the place well because of her unique sensory skills.
Before she reached the exit, she took a dark long-sleeved hooded cloak from a supply closet and left the base under the cover of darkness.
As she disappeared into the woods, she said, "If I keep up a good pace, I should reach Konoha in 3 days. Hopefully I'll be able to find this Naruto Uzumaki and see if I'm right."
And she continued running.
At the same time in Konoha, Kushina was having a conversation with her son.
"So Naruto. How are you feeling?" she asked.
Naruto replied, "I'm starting to feel a little bit better. I've made a decision."
Kushina asked, "About what?"
Naruto said, "About dad. I will try and let him into my life a little. However, I'm gonna make him work his ass off and I'm gonna drive him into the ground to prove he's a man of his word. If he really wants to be a part of my life, he's gonna be doing some hard ass labor for a while here. We'll see if he is as devoted as he preaches himself to be."
Kushina nodded, "That's fair. That's very reasonable. I completely agree."
Timeskip 1 day...
1 day passed since that argument with Kushina, Minato was putting a lot of effort into earning Naruto's forgiveness.
Naruto was still weary of him, but he was starting to open up if only a little.
Of course, the amount of labor Naruto put on Minato's shoulders made everyone realize that Naruto was not playing around.
Especially during one particular event where Minato interfered with a sword match between Naruto and Kushina.
He walked right through the training square when they were swinging blades and started fiddling with one of the the 6-foot pole lamps arranged in the four corners of the square causing Naruto to start shouting, "I'm gonna kick your fucking ass! I want you off the fucking platform you prick!"
Maikeru said, "Naruto calm down."
Minato stuttered, "I- I'm sorry."
Naruto snorted, "No! Don't just be sorry! Think for one fucking second! WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING?! Are you professional or not?!
Maikeru spoke, "Naruto calm down.
Minato said honestly, "Yes I am."
Naruto shouted, "Do I fucking walk around and rip-
Maikeru said again, "Naruto calm down."
Naruto screamed, "No! Shut the fuck up Maikeru! NO! NO! Don't shut me up!"
Maikeru said, "I'm not shutting you up."
Naruto shouted, "Am I gonna walk around and rip those light down?!"
Minato quivered, "No."
Naruto yelled, "Then why the fuck are walking right through like that in the middle of a training session?! What the fuck is it with you?! What don't you fucking understand?! Do you have any fucking idea how distracting it is when you walk right in like that?! Give me a fucking answer! What don't you get about it?!"
Minato replied, "I was... looking at the light."
Naruto shouted, "Oh good for you! And how was it?! I hope it was fucking good because it's useless now isn't it?! Fucks sake man! You're an amateur!"
Some were giggling while other were startled at Naruto's ranting.
Naruto then said, "Can we please continue training mom?"
Kushina answered, "Alright. Alright. Let's go." and their duel continued.
Outside the village, 2 days later...
The sun was starting to appear in the sky.
She was tired, hungry, thirsty, and exhausted.
She finally reached the village and thankfully, the guards were asleep allowing her to slip into the village.
She looked everywhere and saw a red building near the mountain which she deduced was where the leader was.
She made her way there hoping the leader could help her.
Inside Hokage tower...
Tsunade was enjoying her breakfast when she heard a knock at the door.
"Come in." said Tsunade.
The door opened.
Tsunade froze when she saw who entered, she was looking at a girl who looked to be 15 or 16, she was 5 ft 4, had a curvy figure, pale skin, she was dressed in black flip flops, a pair of dirty gray sweat pants and a matching shirt, and a dark cloak.
But the most compelling thing Tsunade noticed about the girl was that she had long red hair identical to Kushina's, red eyes, and light brown glasses.
The girl asked, "Are you the leader of the village?"
Tsunade answered, "Yes. I am Tsunade Senju. The 5th Hokage of the Hidden Leaf Village of Konoha. Is there something I can help you with?"
The girl replied, "Yes. I'm looking for Naruto Uzumaki. I was told he was here. Can you help me find him? It's important."
Tsunade narrowed her eyes in suspicion, "What do you want with my grandson? Who the hell are you anyway?"
The girl replied timidly, "My name is Karin. Karin Uzumaki."
That last word almost froze Tsunade's heart!
She lurched out of her chair and said, "What? What did you say?"
Karin repeated, "My name is Karin Uzumaki."
Tsunade used her mystic palm technique to analyze the girl and was stunned to see what she saw.
She found enough proof that Karin wasn't lying and that she had the same genetic properties of the Uzumaki.
Tsunade said, "I can't believe it! You have Uzumaki blood! You are of the Uzumaki bloodline!"
Karin nodded.
Tsunade said, "Come with me please."
She escorted Karin to the Namikaze estate discretely and called Kushina to tell her everything.
Needless to say, Kushina was stunned when she learned about Karin and her connection to the Uzumaki clan.
Kushina took Karin to her bedroom and changed her into a pair of black tight cotton pants for girls that covered her legs completely, a pair of black shinobi sandals that resembled high-top boots, a red turtleneck sweater, a belt around the waist, and finally a pair of black fingerless battle gloves.
Then Kushina took her to the kitchen and got her some food because she could tell the girl was starving.
She summoned everyone else to the room to tell them about it, except Naruto and Hinata who were out training.
The reactions were pretty much the same. Everybody was stunned to learn of another surviving Uzumaki.
Karin then told her story about her life as well as her time as a captive at Orochimaru, she was worried they would kick her out after that.
But Kushina said, "None of that matters. What matters is that you're one of us. An Uzumaki never abandons family. You're more than welcome to live with us."
And everyone agreed.
Karin cried with joy that she finally found family after so long.
Kushina then said, "It's difficult to determine her official connection. But she has Uzumaki blood. I was thinking about performing a blood ritual to make her our official daughter."
Karin spoke in a hopeful voice, "You'd do that? Really?"
Minato nodded, happy at the concept of having another kid.
The others followed suit.
Kushina answered, "Yes. But I want to get Naruto's thoughts on this as well. If he agrees, then we'll do it."
And everyone, even Minato, agreed.
Kushina asked, "Karin, tell us what your abilities are. What type of skills you have, and what weapons you specialize in."
Karin replied, "Well, first off, I'm a sensory type ninja. I'm able to detect and scout out targets. I have average skills in taijutsu. By letting people bite me and absorb my chakra, I can heal their wounds. Now, as far as weapons go, I specialize in mid and close range combat."
Karin reached into her bag, pulled out the sealing scroll, and unsealed 2 weapons.
The first was a long bladed kunai about 12 inches long, with a thin, but sturdy steel cable measuring at least 8 feet attached to it.
Kushina and the others recognized it as similar to a ninja weapon called the rope dart which was very difficult to master.
But Karin was wielding it like a master with no difficulties at all. She also revealed that both the cable and the kunai were laced with chakra metal which made them impervious to chakra based attacks.
The second weapon was a black sword that resembled a shirasaya, except it was also laced with chakra metal.
(Check my profile for image.)
Karin wound up her rope blade and attached it to her waist via whip holder, then she put the sword into a sealing gauntlet on her left wrist.
Then she joined the others for breakfast still waiting in anticipation to see Naruto.
When Naruto came home with Hinata at 10:00 in the morning after training, he found his mom waiting.
"What's up mom?" he asked.
Kushina smiled, "Follow me Naruto. Today is going to be a momentous occasion. I've got someone who wants to meet you."
The teens followed her to the Namikaze private training dojo and noticed everybody else was waiting for them.
Naruto was confused at this point, "What's going on here?"
Kushina looked towards the changing room and said, "Alright. Come on out."
The door opened and Karin appeared.
She walked over and asked, "Are you Naruto Uzumaki?"
Naruto frowned, "Yes. Who are you exactly?"
The next thing he knew, Karin was hugging tightly and screaming how happy she was to see him.
Hinata narrowed her eyes at this girl thinking she was trying to steal Naruto away from her.
Once Naruto freed himself, he said seriously, "I don't know why you just hugged me, or what you're trying to do, but this is getting weird and suspicious. Now tell me who you are."
Karin responded, "Naruto. My name is Karin. Karin Uzumaki. You and I, we're family."
Naruto gasped with shock when he heard that.
Hinata was surprised too, but at the same time relieved, knowing that this girl was a relative of Naruto's family and not a stalker.
Naruto turned to his mother and asked, "Is this true mom?"
Kushina nodded, "Yes Naruto. There's no mistake about it. I couldn't determine her official connection. But she does have Uzumaki blood in her."
She then proceeded to tell him Karin's story from earlier.
Needless to say, Naruto was surprised as was Hinata.
Afterward, Kushina said, "The other reason I called you Naruto, is because I want your input on something."
"What about?" asked Naruto.
Kushina said, "I was planning on doing a blood sealing ritual to make her an official direct member of our family. But we wanted your thoughts on it as well. What do you say Naruto? You'll have a sibling if you agree."
Naruto turned around to think for a second.
Everyone waited and waited.
Karin was worried, but tried her hardest to hide.
Naruto turned to Hinata, a little unsure as if for opinion.
She smiled and gave a subtle nod to say she was okay with.
Naruto thought some more.
After what seemed like forever, Naruto turned around with a smile on his face.
Maikeru asked, "Have you decided?"
Naruto replied, "Yes."
Tsunade asked, "And?"
Naruto announced, "Let's do it."
Karin let out a squeal of excitement when she heard that.
After that, Kushina, Minato, and Tsunade performed the ritual which took at least 10 minutes due to Karin being 15 years old.
When they were done, it was announced that Karin was an official blood relative of theirs.
Karin was showing signs of tears as she spoke, "In just one day, my whole life has changed completely. I have a father, a mother, a grandmother, an uncle, an aunt, 2 if everything works out."
Yugito blushed at that.
Karin walked over to Naruto and hugged him while saying with tears of joy, "But most important of all. I have a brother!"
She spoke quietly, "I love you Naruto."
Naruto smiled at his newest family member.
"And I love you too. Sister." answered Naruto.
Everyone else couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and joy that another had joined their family.
The Namikaze family was beginning to rise from the ashes of the past and return to glory.
End of Chapter.
Hope you all enjoyed because it took me a whole month to get this done.
Before I conclude this chapter, I want you all to know something.
The Naruto manga chapter I read about Obito getting redeemed... THAT PISSED ME THE FUCK OFF!
Let's get real people, as far as I'm concerned, Obito deserved to fucking die a gruesome death for his actions!
Doesn't matter if he was Madara's pawn or not, he knew what he was doing was cruel and wrong but he did it anyway!
Some guy comes along and destroys my family, I wouldn't have saved his life!
I would've slit his fucking throat and let him die choking on his own blood!
So, I'm going to grow some balls and do what Kishimoto was too big of a pussy to do, and that is... MAKE SURE OBITO DIES A GRUESOME AND PAINFUL DEATH!
If you guys have any ideas of how I should kill Obito, I'd like to hear them.
I want you all to look into the darkest corners of your minds and come up with the most brutal and horrific ideas you can on how Obito should die.
See you next time!
