Chapter 38

"I don't think, I know. The scent is fresh, and therefore very strong." Isis said in a mostly calm but slightly stressed voice. Yugi sniffed himself, lowering his arm back down. He didn't smell anything different. He smelled like pineapple and cherries, just like always.

"I don't smell anything." Yugi said crossing his arms over his chest.

"No, you wouldn't. Your senses aren't strong enough."

Yugi jumped, before grabbing up his phone. His thumb hovered over the button to turn off his phone. Just three seconds, that would be all it took. They were relentless, calling every hour on the dot since he had turned it back on.

His thumb switched over to the green button, accepting the call. Did he trust himself not to mention what Isis was accusing of him though? It was impossible though; they had told him themselves, it was impossible. So why was she jumping to ludicrous suggestions?

"Yes?"

"FINALLY!" Yami shouted.

"What the hell, Yugi? You ask us to call every day, and then you don't even pick up? No, you turn off your phone. What the hell has been going on?" Atem shouted angrily.

"I'm sorry, I had a lot on my mind."

"We kind of figured, considering you shut us out."Yami said.

"Look, can we not do this right now, please?"

"Fine, what happened two days ago?" Atem asked sighing.

"Uh…um…" Yugi looked around the room wondering if he should lie or just tell them the truth.

"Dartz was in town." Marik said after yanking the phone out of his hands. Yugi groped where it had been, before dropping is hands into his lap, lowering his head in shame.

"No, we didn't. Because he got away, obviously. Well, we sent Heba ahead after Yugi after he had been injured. He was supposed to call as soon as he saw that Yugi was safe, but since he never had, we assumed the worst and took off after him. Sakura and another Hunter- Yes, Sakura was there, went after Dartz but he got into rogue territory before they could catch him. Neither one of them was foolish enough to try to pursue him any further. He was worried about his cousin, I assume. Look, you'll have to ask him, I don't know what goes through his mind. That's hardly my problem." Yugi smiled a little at hearing only Marik's end of the conversation, but from his answers, it wasn't too hard to fill in the questions.

"Here, for you." Marik said handing the phone back to him. Yugi took it, putting it back to his ear. He didn't know why, but he felt very much like a child at the moment, talking to his parents after they had discussed his punishment for disobedience.

"Yugi, why did you shut us out? Why didn't you just tell us?" Atem asked softly.

"My cousin was hurt, and it was my fault. And what if Saki had been killed? I would have never gotten a chance to make up with her! I was ashamed, okay?! I'm still a weak pathetic loser who can't take care of himself. Just a weak pathetic loser." Yugi cried bolting into the Ruby room and slamming the door shut.

"Sigh, Yugi, we've been over this. You're not weak. You're one of the strongest people I know."

"No, I'm not! Then why can't I protect myself? Why do others always feel the need to?"

"Because you won't raise a hand to defend yourself?" Yami supplied.

SMACK.

"That's not helping!" Atem said. Yugi let off a little laugh.

"Sure it has, he laughed." Yami argued.

"Barely." Atem grumbled.

"I miss you, so much." Yugi whispered a tear leaking from his eye.

"Aww, we miss you too, Yugi. Just two more days and we'll be back there with you." Yami said a soft tone entering his voice.

"Yugi, how did Dartz even get to you?" Atem asked quietly.

"I was being stupid. We had detention, everyone. I'd accidently started a food fight when I tripped Malik, and his food flew into the back of Ryou's head. He got up and flung food back at him who ducked and it hit Jou instead. Then Jou threw it some at him and instead hit a freshman. And it just turned into a full out food fight from there." Yugi said trying to contain his laughter.

"Okay, and?"

"Oh, I got done with detention before everyone else, and started to head home by myself. Dartz met me halfway there. I didn't even bother to run; I didn't want to make the hunt more enjoyable for him. He…he touched me."

"HE DID WHAT?!" they screamed.

"On the back of the neck, for like, I don't know, 20 maybe 30 seconds. Then his hand was just gone, and I looked over my shoulder to see Heba there, and everyone else. He told me to run, and I…I just did. I'm a coward, a big fat coward." He started to cry.

"Yugi, I want you to listen to me. You are not a coward. They wanted out of dangers way as they fought him. To have you there would have just hindered them. You did the right thing." Atem said in his cool soothing voice. The one he used when he thought Yugi was being irrational.

"Your words don't mean as much Temmy." Yugi said flopping back onto the bed.

"Oh, and why not?"

"Cause you're not here staring me down with those piercing crimson eyes of yours."

"Yeah?"

"Yeah."

"You like my eyes staring you down?"

"Sometimes. They're pretty, especially when you're angry. They look like two pools of lava, just a hint of this yellowish orange color in them. I think if it were at all possible for us to have kids, the natural way, I would want the child that came from you to have your eyes." Yugi sighed.

"R-really?"

"Yeah, but that's impossible."

"Right…impossible." He shot Isis a triumphant look, but she just looked shocked, a hand covering her mouth as she pressed a needle deeper than it needed to go into his cousin's arm.

"Uh, I gotta go, Isis is torturing my cousin." Yugi said frowning. Isis looked down, and gasped pulling the needle back out a little.

"Well, have fun with that. And, Yugi?"

"Mmhmm?"

"When we call tomorrow, please answer."

"I will."

"Love you."

"L-l-l-lo-bye!"

Yugi hung up, and watched as Isis apologized to Heba as she re-wrapped his arm up. He didn't look amused. When she was done, she turned her grey eyes on him.

"They're half lying to you, you know." She said calmly.

"No, they said it was impossible."

"And so it is, as long as you don't say the words I Love You out loud."

"W-what? That's ridiculous."

"And we know you not saying those words out loud isn't true, otherwise we wouldn't be here in this very awkward situation. I wouldn't be having to explain this to you, they would be."

"No, it's not true."

"Tell me did you ever, in the past two weeks, feel a sharp pain in your lower abdomen that passed as quickly as it came?"

"Uh, yeah? But it was probably just something I ate."

"That was the womb being created."

"No, it was something else."

"When did you create it, Yugi?"

"I…I didn't create one. I just whispered the words I love you out loud as soon as the limo turned the corner. I…I meant to say it just before they got in the limo, but I…I didn't."

"It's probably better that you didn't."

"Yeah, I would have missed out on that field trip."

"No, they would have taken you with them most likely. When was the last time you three had sex?"

"Right before they left?"

"Well, it takes about a week and half for the womb to be created. If there is sexual intercourse involved after or before the making of the womb, you run the risk of getting pregnant. Male humans, whom are mated to other male vampires, almost always get pregnant. It's weird. The ones who really want children don't get pregnant but the ones who don't always do. We have yet to figure out why this is." Isis explained carefully.

"Well, can't you just abort it? You know, before they take full form or something?" Yugi asked frantically. He wasn't excepting that he was. He just wanted to know if it was an option if he ever did get pregnant in the future. Which he couldn't be, because he was all male all the time, and was in no way related to the seahorse family.

"You want an abortion?"

"I just want to know if it's an option."

"Yes, it's an option."

"Oh, that's great!"

"No, it's not. If you get a vampire's abortion there will never be a chance of you having kids ever again. A male only gets one womb, Yugi, you give that up and there is no future for having kids, the option is gone."

"What? I don't…I don't understand."

"The Seme, or in this case your Seme Seme as I hear you call Atem, has to rip out the womb by the third day, or else the womb will become as hard as rock and all other options are gone. You will be having the child whether you want it or not. Once the womb is gone so is the possibility of children in the present or future."

"So I either keep them or I don't ever get another chance?" he sounded helpless.

"I'm afraid so. The choice is yours; you're the one who will be walking around with a big belly for nine months."

"Nine?"

"Yes, nine. This isn't a fairy tale with sparkly vampires; you're creating a whole new life here."

"No, I'm not." Yugi said his voice taking on an angry tone.

"What? Yugi, you're pregnant whether you like it or not."

"No! I'm not a male seahorse, and I won't be used like one!" Yugi said bolting from the bed rushing out into the stairway.

"You move from that bed, and I will strap you down." Isis said threateningly.

"You know, you're kind of hot when you're angry." Heba said back.

Yugi shook his head before he headed down the steps. He walked through the hallways until he came to his game room. He walked inside and turned on a Kingdom Hearts II.

"Die, die, die, Heartless, die." Yugi was chanting as he took them out in droves in Mickey's Castle when Marik finally found him.

"You're not going to tell Malik, are you?" he asked uneasily.

"Tell him what? There's nothing to tell. I'm not pregnant, I won't be, not at 17, I'm not, I'm not." Yugi said leaving the world only to go back to it and vent some more anger.

"Yugi, I'm sorry, but you are. There's no avoiding that."

"No!" he shouted at him.

"Just…don't tell Malik, I will. He needs to hear it from me. Or he'll be just as angry as you are right now."

"I already told you, there's nothing to tell, because I'm not a seahorse. I'm not, I'm not, I'm not! I won't be used as one, you hear me, I won't, I won't, I won't." Yugi said really going for the poor animated creatures. If the game was more violent there would have probably been blood everywhere from the way Yugi was going at them.

"Wow, you're really going for those things. You're not pretending that their Atem and Yami, are you?" Marik asked in a way that suggested he didn't want to really know the answer. Yugi gave him one anyway.

"No, of course not. What kind of mate do you take me for?" Yugi asked looking up at him, and batting his eyelashes while still pounding ion the X button with his thumb.

"I don't envy them when they get back."

"Which will be in two days. Which according to Isis is the last day for a vampire abortion. That's all fine and dandy, but I'm not pregnant and I refuse to be before I'm even legally a man."

"On the bright side, you won't be having the kids until after you're officially a man." Marik said in what Yugi supposed was supposed to be comforting. He started to go after the Heartless even more.

"And I just joined the ranks of the black things with yellow eyes on the screen. I'm gonna go, and let everyone know I found the Prince." Marik said getting up and walking out.

Yugi pounded on the controller all night, and all the next day. He didn't care about school, food, sleep, or water at the moment. He was only concerned with what Isis had told him. The whole thing sounded made up, and yet…he was still thinking about it.

He knew, deep in his heart, that he could never kill an innocent life. Especially one that never asked to be created in the first place. But then again, he had never asked to be treated like a frickin woman in the first place either. This wasn't fair! Life isn't fair, a small voice whispered in the back of his mind.

He put the game on pause, and looked over at the tray that Isis had dropped off over an hour ago, urging him to just eat something, if not for himself, than the baby. He grabbed the tray and flung it across the room. Glass plates and cups shattered against the wall, as silverware clattered to the floor. The wall was smeared with his meal. He dropped back onto the couch, his face in his hands. He felt a familiar wetness start to fill his eyes, threatening to spill over. He rubbed his fingertips against his eyes, wiping any small traces of tears away.

His emotions were spinning around inside him like a whirlwind, a tornado, a hurricane, something that was out of control, and couldn't be stopped just by wishing it away. That's what he felt like, a force to be reckoned with.

Damn they had horrible timing. He knew they couldn't hear his thoughts. He still had that blocked off. Was it possible they were getting a hold of his feelings? He sighed before picking up the phone.

"What?" Yugi growled out.

"My oh my, aren't we testy? We just called to let you know that we were back in Japan, and will be home tomorrow." Yami said.

"Tell me something I don't know."

"Okay, what's wrong?" Atem asked.

"Nothing! Why would anything be wrong?"

"Because we just got a disturbing text from Mahad. He said he didn't see what happened, but he heard a loud noise come from inside your game room, and he was pretty sure that it wasn't you eating the food you were given."

"Well, let me go fix that." Yugi said throwing the phone on the couch and stormed over towards the main doors. He opened and looked straight at Mahad who grinned at him.

"Yes, Prince?" he asked.

"I want you to hop like a bunny around the Palace until you collapse. I don't care which hallway you collapse in, but it will not be this one."

"But-"

"Now." Yugi growled at him.

"Okay." Mahad said getting up and starting to hop like a bunny down the hall and out of sight. Yugi hmphed, and went back inside putting the phone on speaker and playing the game again.

"That was not nice."

"Whatever."

"Are you mad at us for something?" Yami asked.

"Do I have a reason to be?"

"I don't know, do you?"

"Perhaps I'm mad at you for something you haven't told me about?"

"There are a lot of things we haven't told you about." Atem said in a wary voice.

"Oh, then I suppose you should start guessing." Yugi said vindictively back as he slaughtered the Heartless on the screen.

"Okay, let's see…is it the time we didn't tell you about taking down your trampoline as you called it."

"You took it down? What's wrong with you? Why would take down my trampoline?"

"That wasn't it. Because like Yami said it was meant to protect you, not be something you used for enjoyment."

"Pfft, whatever. Anymore guesses?"

"Quite a few actually. Um, how about the time we didn't tell you about Koneko using Atem's pillow as a scratching post in October?" Yami guesses.

"Ha ha ha ha, and where is the pillow from this incident?"

"The trash, where it belongs." Atem said.

"Oh, maybe she was mad at you guys."

"Oh no, just Atem." Yami said sounding as if he was grinning.

"Anymore guesses?"

"Um, how about the time we didn't tell you…"

[Two hours later]

"Nope." Yugi said lazily. He was finding out a lot about his mates. For instance, that they liked watching him sleep, they liked bathing with him, they thought his walk was sexy and alluring, and they had been trying for 3,000 years to have a kid. That was their last guess, and it hit him like a huge slap in the face. It left him feeling winded, shameful, and guilty.

"We give up, just tell us." Atem said.

"Um, tomorrow. When I see you, I'll also show you how to walk like an Egyptian, if you're good."

"Come on, Yugi, we've been guessing for two hours now." Yami complained.

"Yeah, then it must be something you really don't want me to know."

"I can think of only three." Atem replied

"Look, I'll see you guys tomorrow okay? Just wait until then."

"Fine, but Yugi, please eat something."

"I'm not hungry." He said before quickly hanging up. He made sure his mental barrier was still in place before screaming to the high heavens. It was very loud, and therefore couldn't blame the vampires that burst into his room expecting to find someone attacking him. When they saw no attack happening, and realized he was just venting pent up emotions, they left one by one. Only Isis stayed, staring at the wall where he had thrown his food.

"You should really get someone to clean that up." He said as he passed her, leaving his phone on the couch.

"I wish you would have just eaten it." she whispered as he entered the hallway.

"I told you already, I'm not hungry. Haven't been all week."

"Still, you need to keeping your energy up, and skipping meals isn't good for you, the child, or your mates. You need to remain healthy now, more than ever." She said appearing at his side.

"Whatever, how's Heba?"

"He's fine." She said in a stiff tone.

"Are you alright?"

"I think I know how Sakura feels now. Tell your cousin to knock off flirting with me, okay?"

"And you expect him to listen to me because…?"

"You're family aren't you?"

"So you're saying I should start listening to Sakura?"

"I…ah…good point."

"Well, could you just suggest it, please?"

"Sure, I'll plant a seed, but I can't guarantee that it'll grow into anything."

"Thank you." she said before veering off to the left and leaving Yugi alone. He walked back to his room, and walked into the Ruby room, falling down on the bed and promptly falling asleep.

[Time skip]

Yugi woke up the next morning feeling as if he hadn't had an ounce of rest whatsoever. He climbed out of bed intent on getting a good bath in before starting the day. Walking into the bathroom he saw that Heba was already using the bath, but this didn't stop him. He simply stripped and climbed in with him. Heba stared at him before voicing his complaints.

"Can't you wait?"

"No." Yugi said grabbing a wash cloth from the cabinet next to the tub and putting a decent amount of soap on it, and stood up to wash his body.

"Okay…so are you excited about today?"

"Why? Is today important or something?"

"Ha ha ha, are you still peeved at them for knocking you up?"

"I am not knocked up! Male humans can't get pregnant, it's impossible."

"Denial." Heba sang. Yugi sat back down to wash off the soap, before splashing Heba with water.

"Hey!" he splashed Yugi back; who sent another wave of water at him.

It ended up turning into a full out water war, no bars held, before it was ruined by Isis. She walked in just as Yugi and Heba sent a wave of water at one another at the same time, the ending chaos was a soaked Isis as the water leaped over the edge when it collided together. She glowered down at the both of them.

"Uh, you walked in at the wrong moment?" Yugi tried.

"Obviously."

"Don't worry, I think you look as good wet as you do when you're dry." Heba said flirtatiously winking at her. She looked over at Yugi.

"I haven't found the right moment to tell him the devastating news yet."

"What devastating news?" Heba asked.

"You see, Heba, Isis already has a boyfriend. His name is Martin."

"That's alright, I love competition."

"Uh…"

"Way to go." Isis said before marching out of the bathroom, most likely to change her clothes.

"I shall snatch the lovely Isis right out from under this Martin's nose. He won't know what him."

"First Sakura, and now you, what am I going to do?" Yugi sighed asking his head.

"Don't know, don't care." Heba said climbing out of the tub and putting a towel on around his waist.

"Oh boy, my life is getting way too complicated." Yugi sighed before washing his hair and climbing out of the tub, making sure to drain it before he left the bathroom. He put on a simple outfit, a shirt that said I own vampires, and pair of dark blue jeans.

He then went to find his cousin. He figured it wouldn't be that difficult to do. Wherever Isis was, his cousin was sure to be as well. Sure enough, his theory was correct. Isis was healing a human's arm that had a nasty bruise on it, and attempting to get Heba to go away at the same time. She was succeeding in only one of the things she was currently doing. The human got up off the bed and skipped past him.

"Heba, out, I need to talk to Isis for a minute." Yugi ordered not very nicely.

"No way, I'm wooing the pretty vampire."

"OUT!"

"Hormones." Heba sang as he scooted past him. Yugi shoved him the rest of the way out the door.

"Yes, Yugi?" Isis asked.

"Okay, let's suspend reality for a moment, and pretend that this whole pregnancy thing is possible."

"Okay."

"What if I just decided not to tell Atem and Yami about it? What if I chose to hide it?"

"Hide what?" Yami asked behind him.

Yugi froze. He then turned slowly to look behind him. It wasn't his imagination playing tricks on him, they were here, really here. Yugi sprung into their arms, knocking all three of them to the ground.

"I'm never letting you leave again." Yugi whispered.

"Yugi, you smell…odd." Atem said.

"Oh, funny you should mention that. Go ahead Yugi, tell them." Isis said in a haughty voice above them. Yugi got up off of them to glower at her. She just held that haughty look as she stared right back down at him.

"Tell us what?" Yami asked standing up and helping Atem to his feet as well.

"You're going to laugh. It's the funniest thing in the world. Isis here, seems to think I'm pregnant. Crazy right?" Yugi said laughing nervously.

"What?" Yami asked looking at her.

"You can't smell it on him?"

"That's not…possible." Atem said slowly even as Yugi turned to see him smelling at the air cautiously.

"That's what I said, but no one's listening to me."

"He…hasn't said it." Yami said just as slowly as Atem had.

"Apparently he has."

"When?" they asked together looking down at him.

"No, you said it was impossible. You said, both of you, you said it wasn't possible!" Yugi said backing away from them.

"When did you say the words 'I love you' out loud?" Atem asked fear being the most prominent thing in his voice.

"Why does that matter? They're just words!"

"No, Yugi, they're not." Yami said gently reaching out for him, his fingers grazing his wrist.

"DON'T TOUCH ME!" he screamed. Yami recoiled instantly.

"Just don't…touch…me. Don't…touch, you've done enough." Yugi said backing away from them before doing the only thing that made sense to him after that. Running. He shoved past them, ignoring their calls that he couldn't run from everything.

He just ran, letting his feet take him wherever they wanted him to go. They led him into this closet, where he had set his suitcase last. He grabbed it and stuffed it with clothes, before throwing the whole thing on his bed. He paced then, back and forth, back and forth, between the balcony and the bed. When he heard heavy footsteps coming up the stairs, he grabbed his jacket and threw it on, going out onto the balcony and shutting the door behind him. He held onto the door handles with all his strength, in the hopes that they wouldn't be able to open them.

"Yugi, if you don't want it, just let me take care of it now, before my instincts fight too hard against it." Atem said from the other side of the doors.

"No! I already told you! I want kids! I just didn't want them so early." Yugi cried falling to his knees, his grip becoming slack on the door handles. The doors opened, and he felt a hand on his shoulder which he shied away from instantly.

"Yugi, stop acting like this. We need to talk, all of us, about this."

"No." Yugi said scooting back from him.

"Are you seventeen or five?"

"I'd give anything to be five again, I was so happy then." Yugi sniffed wrapping his arms around his knees.

"And you're not happy now?" Yami asked.

"I'm pregnant at 17, what the hell is there to be happy about?!" Yugi shouted at him.

"Then let's go back down to Isis's chambers and get this all sorted out, hmm?" Atem suggested in a strained calm voice.

"No! I'm keeping them!"

"But you don't want them!" Yami yelled back at him.

"No, I don't, but I will keep them."

"Why? Because we want kids? Oh Ra, that must have been like a punch in the gut when we told you we've been trying to conceive for the past 3000 years. No wonder we couldn't guess what you were so upset about." Atem laughed sitting on the ground just inside the room.

"Why didn't you just tell me? Were you afraid I wouldn't ever say it if I knew?"

"Something like that." Yami answered sitting down next to Atem.

"Then what was it?"

"I guess…it was the belief that we could still act like you'd be happy when you found out."

"I never would have been happy about that. About finding out that I was going to be treated like a male seahorse." Yugi said looking away.

"A male seahorse?" Atem asked.

"The first male I could think of that could give birth naturally."

"Oh."

"So why are you keeping them?"

"Because I love you, that's why." Looking them dead in the eyes.

"Oh." They said as they reached out for him. Yugi scooted away from their hands until his back was pressed against the rails of the balcony.

"That wasn't permission for you to touch me." Yugi said his fury from before coming back.

"Yugi, please, we haven't held you for two weeks. Please, we know you need this contact just as much as we do." Yami begged inching closer but keeping his hands to himself.

Yugi looked away, before back at them, and away again. He wasn't so sure about this. He was still upset about their lie, but then again, he had done his fair share of lying to them too. Letting them have their way for one day wouldn't hurt his ego too much, but tomorrow there was no playing nice. With this thought in mind, he edged closer to them until he was close enough for them to reach out and pull him into an embrace.

He would be straight up lying if he said he wasn't enjoying every minute of this contact. He cuddled deeper into their embrace to which just held him tighter too. After awhile, Atem broke the peaceful silence.

"You didn't stub your toe, did you?"

"No, my instincts told me to lie, so I did."

"And those same instincts covered up the lie. But why?" Yami commented.

"It would have been dangerous to take me with you, as it would have been just as dangerous for you to stay here. And I have no idea where that just came from." Yugi answered the words spewing from his mouth.

"Makes sense." Atem said nodding.

"It does?" Yami asked.

"Yeah." He responded resting his chin on Yugi's head.

"I'm so happy you guys are back, but I wish that entrance could have been a little different." Yugi sighed.

"Us too, Yugi, us too." They said together pulling him closer still. They picked him up and carried him into the bedroom; where they seemed to just notice the suitcase full of clothes on the bed. Their arms dropped around him, as they just stared at it.

"Are you going somewhere?" Yami asked quietly.

"No. No, I'm trying to still talk myself out of leaving although every fiber in being is telling me to just walk away now, before I get hurt anymore." Yugi whispered.

"You want to leave?" Atem asked.

"No, I don't. I want to be here, right next to you two. I haven't seen you in so long, I missed you." Yugi said burying his face in their chests.

"We missed you too." They said re-wrapping their arms around him.

"Do you think he's killed them yet?" a voice whispered from the small crack in the doorway leading out into the stairwell. Atem sighed before walking over and opening the door sending three people sprawling down into their room.

"You're alive!" Mahad said enthusiastically.

"What do you want?"

"Uh, you didn't see him pounding on those buttons to that game." He said nervously.

"Yeah, you should feel lucky you weren't here when he first discovered it. He wasn't happy; he was going at those black creatures like he wanted to murder something, or someone." Marik added helping Seth up.

"Go away, he's not going to murder us."

"You haven't told Malik yet, have you?"

"Tell him what? There's nothing to tell." Yugi ground out.

"Oh, he's still in denial." Mahad cooed.

"Has he decided?" Seth asked.

"Yes, now go away, we can handle this."

"By preventing him from leaving?" Marik asked his eyes travelling over the open suitcase on the bed.

"We're not preventing anything." Yami said trying to move away from him. Yugi grabbed his arm though, keeping him there.

"See? He wants to be around us." Atem said smirking.

"Today, that'll probably change tomorrow." Isis added coming up the stairs.

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"I'll tell you tomorrow." She said grinning before walking over to Yugi. She knelt down in front of him.

"This is what you want?" she asked firmly.

"I don't have a choice." He muttered.

"Everyone has a choice."

"Not me, I don't. I either keep the child, or never have the possibly of ever having children again. Those are my choices. I don't like either one of them, but I have to except one of them. I can't kill an innocent life, especially not one that never asked to be made in the first place. It just wouldn't be fair, but nothing about life is fair. Nothing so far in my life has been fair, why would I expect parenthood to be any different?" Yugi said crying into Yami's chest.

"Enjoy it, tomorrow he'll change." Isis said standing up looking at them all.

"Change how?" Atem asked again.

"You'll see. Oh, I actually came up here to tell you guys no sex. We don't need him getting pregnant twice."

"Twice?!" Yugi squeaked.

"Yes, twice." Isis said gently placing a hand on his shoulder before sweeping out of the room.

"Anytime we have sex, Yugi, you run the risk of getting pregnant." Yami said slowly.

"We're never having sex again." Yugi said immediately.

"Oh come." Atem said.

"No!" he shrieked pushing Yami away. He looked around the room, his eyes falling on the open suitcase on the bed.

"Yugi, look at me." Yami said gently drawing his head to look at him.

"No."

"I promise, neither Atem nor I will have sex with you until you're ready." Yami said firmly holding his head between his hands.

"Promise?" Yugi asked looking over at Atem who nodded if it was a bit reluctantly.

"Okay, do you want to go on a date with me?"

"Sure, just lead the way." Atem said walking over and taking his hand.

"Okay, come on." Yugi said grabbing Yami's hand and leading them both out. He felt Atem be pulled to a stop which made him stop in turn.

"You know he hasn't forgiven you, right? Not in the slightest." Seth warned.

"I'm aware, but he's trying, that's a start."

"No he's not; he just needs to be near you two to fill the need of being away from you for the past two weeks."

"And you're wasting whatever time we have before this change comes tomorrow." Yami warned shoving Atem forward and past him.

"Come on, we need to go see Eliza first." Yugi said pulling them towards the kitchen.

He paused outside the door and disappeared inside. He left them waiting outside while he got the things he needed. He came back out with a picnic basket which he handed to Atem before grabbing their hands again, and leading them on. He led them out to his green truck, where he stopped on the driver side and held out his hand towards Atem.

"Uh, no you just tell me where we're going, and I'll drive." Atem said. Yugi patiently waited with his hand out. Atem finally gave in, reaching into his pocket and handing him the keys. Yugi climbed into the driver's side and Atem and Yami the passenger's.

He turned on the truck and backed out of the driveway leading up to the Palace. He drove for a god two to three hours period before parking the truck and getting out. Atem and Yami had no idea as to where they were; it appeared to be the edge of a forest. The cautiously got out, hastening after Yugi who was already disappearing into the woods, his small figure turning around a curve and vanishing.

Every time they caught a glimpse of him, he disappeared around another bend, leading them deeper and deeper into the woods until he vanished altogether. This freaked them out beyond belief, until they heard a whistle from up above them. Their heads snapped back as they found themselves looking up at a…tree house.

"The ladder is on this side." Yugi said pointing to the other side of the rather large tree. They walked around finding the ladder before climbing up.

"Are you sure this is safe?" Atem asked.

"Pretty sure, my Grandfather built it, when he was 15."

"I don't think it's safe, we should get down."

"He proposed to my Grandmother here. I inherited her eye shape. She died shortly before I was born. I never got the chance to meet her. Everyone said she was an amazing woman though." Yugi said all this while taking the items out of the picnic basket and setting them up.

"In this rickety old place?" Yami asked skeptically.

"Yeah. It was his secret hideaway; it was where he went to get away from his drunken Father. He met my Grandmother when they were 20, and well the rest is history." Yugi said sitting down.

"Why are you telling us this?" Atem asked.

"Don't you want to get to know the Mother of your children? Before they arrive?" Yugi asked.

"Yes." Yami answered sitting down and yanking Atem down as well.

"My Mom was an orphan, in America. She lived most of her life fending for herself in a house of 13 other kids. She got good grades so she could get out of there, but when she turned 18 they kicked her out. Dumped her on the street, she had no home, no money, no food. Just the clothes on her back and what she managed to shove in a backpack before they tossed her onto the street like trash. Happy Birthday, right? The only shining light in her future was her graduation from High School and her full ride Scholarship to the local College. That's where she met Dad, he was passing by the school, and she caught his eye, as she ran on her way to the class, her arms full of books. He was entranced, hooked by her beauty. He transferred to her school the next day. He worked up the courage to talk to her, and asked her out. She turned him down flat, saying how she didn't need a man's help in her life. She'd made it this far alone, and she was going to achieve her dream that way too, alone. It took a couple of weeks to find out where she worked but when he did he made sure to show up every night. He always asked for the table that she waited on, leaving big tips. After two months, she gave in and went out with him. Any man that was that persistent was worth a little of her time. They dated for about four years before he popped the question, and she said yes. She didn't have any family in America so she moved back here with him, where she opened her own Beauty Salon, and he expanded he family game business, making games for families to enjoy together. Five years later they had Sakura, and seven after that, me. You know the rest already." Yugi explained as he leaned back to lay his head down in Atem's lap.

"Where did your Dad propose?"

"At the Spa Tech Institute in Westbrook, Maine. That's where she grew up. I went there once, when I was four or three. I don't know, it's hard to remember, I was so little."

"Hmm, is this bagged blood?" Yami asked picking up a bag full of red liquid.

"Uh, yeah? It's rabbit's blood. They both are."

"Aww, you brought food for us." Yami said kissing him he wasn't expecting Yugi's reaction though. Yugi had him under him in three seconds flat, the tree house swinging slightly from the sudden shift of weight.

"Whoa, easy there, Yugi." Atem said attempting to pull him away from Yami. Yami swatted at Atem, saying without words to leave them alone as Yugi took complete control of the kiss.

"No, he needs to get off of you, remember what Isis, said? No sex."

This isnt's sex, this is kissing, big difference.

"Hmm, but it could lead to sex."

So? What Isis doesn't know, won't hurt her.

"But we'll know. And if she catches so much as a whiff of our scents lying over you heavily, she'll wring our necks."

Okay.

What do you mean okay?

Okay.

"No, it's not okay." Atem said wriggling his hands under the horny human and prying him off of Yami.

"You're just jealous cause I kissed him first." Yugi muttered as Atem held him firmly to his chest.

"I assure you jealousy has nothing to do with it."

"Yeah, prove it?" Yugi goaded. Atem kissed cheek before picking up a piece of cheese and putting it at his mouth.

"Eat."

"I'm not really hungry."

"Just try." Atem pushed. Yugi opened his mouth and Atem put the food in. He chewed slowly before swallowing. Yami picked up a grape and held it up to him. Yugi took the food from him too. In the end they ended up feeding him everything that he had brought, leaving him feeling satisfied and full.

"See, you were hungry." Yami said gently brushing one of his bangs out of his face.

"I guess." Yugi said turning his head away.

"Are you sure you want to do this? Have the child?" Atem whispered.

"No, I'm not sure of anything anymore. In all honesty, I'm scared. What if the child dies, or I do?"

"That's not going to happen. We won't let it. But Yugi, if we had to choose between your life or the child's, we'd choose you, every single time." Atem said firmly.

"You would?"

"Yes." Yami confirmed.

"Why?"

"Because you mean more to us than anything else."

"You're not just saying that because you'll lose out on a meal if I die, are you?" Yugi asked skeptically.

"Not a chance. We love you, and no unborn child is going to change that. We protect you first, the child second." Atem said kissing his forehead.

"Okay. I love you, too."

"It feels so good to hear you say that." Yami said leaning his forehead against his.

"It feels good to say it." Yugi said back smiling.

"Then don't ever stop." Atem said.

"Okay, I won't" Yugi said.

"Yugi, do you mind if we feed from you?" Yami asked.

"Why?"

"Because someone lost our luggage in the airport, and our second bag of your blood along with it."

"Oh, you poor things, you must be really hungry. Think you can wait one more day?" Yugi sympathized…sorta.

"Yes, we can wait." Atem said sounding as if he was glaring at Yami over his head.

"Okay, because there isn't any food left, and I don't want to be a dead weight going home. And besides that, you guys don't know where we are, so I'd have to drive you home anyway."

"We'd figure it out."

"But it would be quicker if I drove us." Yugi said kissing his cheek.

"Indeed."

"So eat your rabbit's blood and be satisfied. Don't worry, I'll feed you tomorrow."

"By the way, how do you walk like an Egyptian?" Yami asked. Yugi's cheeks flared with a bright pink blush as he tried to keep from smiling. He was failing miserably as a small amount of laughter started to escape him.

"Like this." Yugi said getting up off of Atem's lap and curving one hand and arm in front of him like a snake, and curving the other one behind him the same way but upside down. Then he started walking back and forth in front of them moving the hands forwards and backwards and switching them with every step. After doing this about three times he looked down at them. Their faces showed that they were clearly offended, but weight the slightest traces of amusement in them as well.

"Oh come on, you guys are Egyptian and you've never walked like this before? Tsk, tsk, tsk, have you been hiding under sandstone all these years?"

"Come here, you little imp. Why don't I show you how we tickle like Egyptians?" Atem said pulling him down before tickling him mercilessly with Yami joining in on the fun.

"Ah ha ha ha ha ha, st-op, ha ha ha ha ha ha!"

"Oh no, not until you apologize for making fun of our walk."

"It's a, ha ha ha ha ha ha ha, dance."

"Dance or not, Egyptians do not walk like that."

"So-ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha-rry. Sorry!"

"We accept your apology, but you know, Yugi, I'm not Egyptian. I don't know what I am, but I'm not Egyptian, too pale, you see." Yami said as they both stopped tickling him so he could get his breath back.

GgggrrrrrGGGGGggggggllllllllEEEEEE.

"That was one of your stomachs, right?" Yugi asked looking down.

"Come on, let's go find you some food."

"I was thinking Chinese." Yugi said as they made their way down the ladder.

"Chinese it is then." They agreed.
