Hello readers, after a long wait I finally got this bloody chapter done and looked over with. IRL and such really does make it hard to keep up with a schedule. But I finally got it done and looked it over grammar wise, I most likely didn't get everything. But I tried. Anyways I did say last time that this was going to be the last chapter of the origins story. But I decided to make the next chapter the last chapter for the origins. For more details I'll explain on the end notes of this chapter. But aside from that, I hope you all enjoy this chapter as much as I enjoyed writing it even if it took longer than expected.
P.S I would like to ask for anyone who reads the early to current chapter to not put any possible spoilers in the review section. I'm not mad at all or saying anyone has. I just wanted to ask if you the readers would kindly avoid doing so. Thank you. : )
One last thing before I let you all off to read. I kept forgetting to mention it, but I want to thank everyone who's favorited and followed this story so much. Weather you only just begun to read this story or have stuck with it since the start. I couldn't have done it without you all. So again thank you all so much! : D

Ch.38: Our fall from grace…
(Our races fall did not happen overnight, it took a long while before we all met our end. But before those dark times, I and the girls enjoyed our later years with our beloved children. I really won't show you those years though, it was what you'd call the usual that most parents had to deal with when it came to raising kids. From the joy, the anger, the sadness, the early teens and in the end of our love for one another. But our continued story starts off on the of our children's shared birthday. It was… was the last true day of our happiness…)
"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday ah…our kids. Happy birthday to you!" Raine, Willow, Blair and Yoana sung as a birthday cake with seventeen candles were in front of them on a large circle table. They girls still looked the same, other then being older and wiser, even though they hadn't aged a day really. Meanwhile on the other side of the table was Zekiel, Eric, Draco and Amber who had mature fairly well since their new lives with their adopted mothers had started
Zekiel was the tallest of the group, having his hair grown only spiker and was messy somewhat. He had a well made build and also a clean shaved face. He wore a light grey t-shirt, a black vest, a pair of dark gray jeans, a pair of dark grey shoes with some black accents and had two black bracelets around his wrists.
Eric himself had let his hair grow out a bit sporting a small ponytail, wore a pair of glasses as his eyes had started to go somewhat bad a few years earlier and had a small chin goatee. His hair also became somewhat a dark shade of brown during the years .He wore a dark green long sleeve shirt, a dark grey sleeveless hoodie, a pair of black cargo pants and a pair of black boots.
Draco had let his hair grow out passed his shoulders, had grown a scruffy beard, wore a blood red chest plate with a black military jacket over it. a pair of black pants, black steel toed boots and a black belt. He also for some reason had one day gotten his K9's sharpened into a more feral look and was also know around the city as a ladies man or A.K.A a player much to his mother's disapproval on that…well mostly Blair.
Amber herself had grown into an extremely beautiful young woman, with chestnut long hair that was naturally well groomed, flawless peach skin, lovely hazel eyes that seem to shine and she also was slightly more muscular than her brother along with her cousins. She wore a light brown sleeveless shirt with a collar, with two horizontal orange strips going down the shirt, a loin cloth at the front and back of the shirt. An orange belt around the waist of the shirt, a navy dark blue pair of pants that clung a bit onto her legs and finally a pair of brown knee high leather boots.
As all four kids sat at the table, the girls couldn't help but quickly remember all of the other times they did this and the cute looks of embarrassment their kids would try to hid. Which even to this day they were doing as their kids loved the attention their mothers gave them. Zekiel, Eric, Draco and Amber let their parents finish taking some of the picture they usual took. Then looked to one another before blowing out the candles. Once the candles were blow out, Raine, Willow, Blair and Yoana cheered then took a few more picture before they began to converse with their kids.
"Oh I can't believe my babies are seventeen already." Blair said joyfully as she gave her daughter a quick hug, followed by Yoana who did the same. Then she gave Draco a hug, who hugged back but then touched his face inspecting it
"Um… something wrong mom?" Draco asked as his mom smiled, then sighed
"No Draco, but I really wish you'd have shaved that beard of yours off. You look so much better without it." Blair answered kindly and with a motherly smile
"Mom…" Draco responded back as he rolled his eyes, knowing that at least his mom-mom wasn't a big fan of his beard "I like it. Besides the ladies love the beard."
"Don't remind me. Honestly I hate it when you bring another of those… women of yours home. Mainly because I know you're doing the naughty stuff." Blair stated with an unamused look, though that was because she had caught Draco lying in bed (thankfully covered) with women and in some case multiple women that ranged from 2 to 4 at a time. Blair couldn't count how many time's she'd had to throw out those girls, while scolding her son on his activities
"Hey maybe we call him STD for short, heaven knows what he must have caught by this point." Amber joked as Draco huffed
"You're just jealous I can get someone to even bat an eye at me." Draco answered back with a small smirk as Amber suddenly stomped the edge of her heel against the not protected part of Draco's foot, which though didn't hurt as much; still hurt. But he still smirked, smiling in pain at his sister "Also another thing… about you, that…ow…. freakish strength of yours."
"Want me to crush your foot, I can do it?" Amber asked with a sweet, yet threatening tone only for Blair to pull her ear "Ow, ow mom!"
"Amber be nice to your brother and no breaking his foot understood." Blair stated raising an eyebrow
"Yeah, yeah okay I get it mom!" Amber yelled in a pained tone, before Blair let go of her ear. Where Amber then rubbed it "Ow…mom that hurt."
"I know it did. But you know how I am when it comes to you two getting along." Blair explained as she gave Amber a hug, before retracting back placing her hand on the left side of Amber's face "Just like your brother, you've grown up so well. Aw… seventeen now and then you'll have kids one day, then…sorry.. sorry."
"Oh mom." Amber replied kindly as she could tell her mom was getting emotional. Amber hugged Blair back, as Blair hugged Amber again tearing up from joy and by the fact her babies were growing up so quickly. Meanwhile Yoana moved over to Draco giving him a one arm hug
"Real proud of you son. Really I am." Yoana happily said as she gave her son a quick kiss on the cheek
"Thanks mama." Draco answered as Yoana ruffed his hair a little, getting a grunt of amusement out of Draco
"No problem, still if you do bring back anymore girls to sleep with again. I'm de-balling you. Understood?" Yoana asked with small smile, as Draco felt a shiver down his spin
"Ah…. yeah, yeah I get it mom." Draco sheepishly answered as Yoana snickered a bit at the fact she could still scare her kids so easily at this age. Draco meanwhile could tell his mama was completely able to back up that little warning of hers, as even if she didn't admit it. Yoana was just as protective of him and his sister, speaking of which he looked back to see Amber still hugging a crying Blair "Should we try and clam down mom. I think Amber's shirt is going to get soggy if she keeps crying."
"Just let her, you know how your mom can be when it comes to crying and such." Yoana stated as she had learned over the happy years of marriage with her wife that Blair was easily prone to crying when put in an emotional situation. She also learned that the best cure for her wife's crying, was just to let her wife cry it out until she was done with it. Though as this happened, Zekiel and Eric were speaking with their mothers
"My two boy's so grown up and still my cute as the day you came into our lives!" Raine happily squealed hugging her sons around their necks and kissing their faces a few times. Then she let go of them, ceased the motherly kisses and pinched their cheek "Oh my babies!"
"Mother." Eric and Zekiel groaned with small smiles, as they let Raine kiss their cheeks some more, then Willow moved her wife off their sons as she took her turn with her kids
"Well aside from that, me and you're mother are so proud of you two. Why it just seems like yesterday when we brought you home. Oh the memories." Willow happily remarked, though noticed her sons usual lack of keeping themselves groomed or dressed appropriately as she began wiping of some crumbs from their shirts '"Honestly you two, I hope being seventeen will finally help with your manners and hygiene."
"Ma, we're fine really. We look well enough." Zekiel answered calmly, as Eric pulled something from the back of his shirt which was a small old chip
"Bro, I think was from last night when we stayed up." Eric explained as Zekiel took the chip and well ate it. Both boys laughed for a few moments, before being cut off
"Ahem." Willow sternly huffed as the boys looked to see their ma raising an eyebrow and crossing her arms "You two didn't just do that in front of me after the dinner I cooked?"
"Ah…." Zekiel tried to reply, but still was to this day nervous of his ma's scolding glare when he did something she didn't approve of him doing. Same could go for his mother and he knew they did it because they loved him and his brother, but that still didn't make it any less nerve racking. Along side the fact his mothers were demi-goddess/ rulers of their nation, that only added to his nervousness. Still he looked to his brother for help, but saw him whistling innocently looking the other way "Oh you son of bitch."
Language young man." Willow sternly said pulling her son's cheeks harder "Honestly I thought we taught you better then to use such vulgar words."
"Ow, ow, ow okay I'm sorry please forgive me ma!" Zekiel yelled as he hated it when his ma did this
"Hm, dear do you think he's had enough?" Willow asked her wife, as Raine pretended to think about it before smirking
-"Ah shit…."- Zekiel thought as he knew was his mother's mischievous smirk, knowing that his mother was finding this amusing
"Well maybe just a bit more cheek pulling dear." Ruby amusingly suggested as Willow smirked
"Mother why?" Zekiel asked, as his ma kept pulling his cheeks while Eric kept whistling innocently only to notice his mother move next to him with a smirk
"So anyways, how's my other boy doing. Been keeping up with your ma's studies?" Raine asked still smirking as Eric stopped whistling
"Mother don't insult me, you know I have and I've done the work for the next two months ahead of schedule. Along with-" Eric began to answer, only for Raine to cover her sons mouth with her hand as she sighed a bit
"Okay, okay I get it. But really son can you please try to get out more." Raine asked with a concern for her son's more social side of life
"Mother aside from my brother, you, ma, my aunts and cousins. I really don't see the point of getting out more." Eric responded as he never cared to have this particular conversation with his mother or his ma, mainly because they were insistent on him going out and socializing which he really didn't care to do with anyone outside the family. But he then saw him mother pull the old guilt trip look, as he, his brother and cousins called it
"Eric…" Raine said in a quiet, concern tone as she frowned a little only making Eric feel bad from getting somewhat snippy with his mother
"I…..fine, fine. I'll go out and try to socialize. But only for you and ma since you always ask me to do this alright?" Eric stated as Raine hugged him suddenly, before letting go
"Thank you son, oh you'll love socializing I promise!" Raine joyfully stated with childlike glee
"Yeah, maybe so." Eric replied with a small smile, as even though he didn't want to socialize; he'd do it for his mother and ma to see them happy. Seeing the two women who had care for him and his brother as their own kids happy, always made him happy no matter what. Though he then noticed his aunts, cousins, ma and brother make their way over to where he along with his mother was. Raine moved over to his ma and aunts. While he waited for his brother who gave him a quick punch in the arm and his cousins to move up next to him. Once everyone was together, Raine coughed getting their attention
"Alright, now that we've gotten a few things for your birthday out of the way earlier then we thought. I guess we can get to our second agenda for today." Raine happily explained
"Second agenda?" Zekiel, Eric, Draco and Amber asked raising an eyebrow at that
"Yep, you see since you kids have spent time with you're mom's so far today. Me and the girls though for the other half you can spent some time with you're aunts. Though there is a catch." Raine explained with a mischievous smirk
"Um…auntie Ruby, what are you going on about?" Amber asked somewhat nervous on what her aunt was thinking
"Oh well the catch is that you all will be doing something you hate toady with us. Think of it as a way to get out of the shells you've put yourself in." Raine explained as she and the girls smiled
"WHAT?" Zekiel, Eric, Draco and Amber screamed as they knew this was now going to be a hellish or at least not as fun birthday
"No, none of that kids. You are going to do so, you are going to try and you are in the end going to enjoy it. Is that understood?" Willow sternly responded back as the kids knew that out of their family. Willow was the scariest when serious, so as a way to not feel her wrath they just nodded hesitantly in agreement "Great, now then Amber you'll be with me since we haven't had as much time to spend with one another in a while and I think you know what we'll be doing."
'Shopping…."Amber asked wincing as Willow snickered
"Oh yes my dear niece, now come along we don't have all day." Willow said as she began making her way out, while Amber followed though noticed her brother and cousins snickering. She quickly looked back as she punched her left hand in to her right a few times while glaring at the three boys who shut up quickly knowing Amber would make good on that threat if pushed enough. Though as Amber looked back she saw her aunt Willow waiting by the doorway for her as she seemed not please with her behavior
"Um ah…sorry." Amber sheepishly stated as Willow made her way out, followed by Amber who both quickly disappeared from sight seconds later
"Anyways. Draco you're with me then and you're going to have such a great day today!" Raine answered joyfully "You'll be having in fact a very positive day."
"Oh crap." Draco remarked
"Yep, toady I'll be trying to help you out of that usual pessimistic attitude you seem to have developed. You're mothers have been talking to me about it." Raine explained as Draco quickly looked to his mothers who smiled back
"Son you have to admit, but you have been pretty pessimistic a lot these past few years. You could lighten up a bit." Yoana replied first as she gave her son an apologetic, but also caring smile
"You could, so please sweetie. Just try for us okay?" Blair replied next as she gave her son a motherly concern smile. Draco wanted to argue back saying they were wrong, but he couldn't help but cave in as he never really could say no to his mothers
"Alright, alright I will." Draco said with a slight smile, before looking back at his aunt "Lead the way auntie Raine."
"Okay, come on my adorable little nephew. Let's have a positive and fun day outside in the city!" Raine joyfully yelled as she dragged Draco out with her, while singing on how much fun it will be to spend to with her nephew as they also disappeared from sight
"So since we're all that's left. Who going with who aunties?" Eric kindly asked, only to see Yoana smirk as she walked up to him "Oh…"
"Yep, you're with me my baby waby Nephew and I think you know what we'll be doing today." Yoana stated in amusement
"Please no." Eric replied with a pleading tone
"No sorry, but today you my dear nephew are going to SOL-CIL-IZE!" Yoana proudly yelled as she gave Eric a bear hug "Oh you are going to make so many friends with me around to help, aunties promise!"
"Please…air….auntie…please…" Eric asked as he felt like he was going to pass out
"Opp's sorry." Yoana remarked putting Eric down, who was taking in a few deep breaths himself "Anyways come on, time for you to get more social."
"Yeah… alright then." Eric groaned with a sigh as he followed Yoana out now, before both disappeared. Blair chuckled a bit, then looked back to her nephew Zekiel who just smiled
"So auntie Blair, I know mother said you'll all be doing stuff with us that we hate to do. But, I don't really hate anything." Zekiel answered kindly "Also I don't really have a shell or whatever mother said we had placed ourselves in."
"I know Zekiel, I know but… your case is different. Actually I, your aunt Yoana and your ma talk about it in secret from you're mother." Blair answered with a small smile
"What why?" Zekiel asked curiously
"Zekiel I love you're mother so much, she's one of my best friends and the best little sister I could ever ask for. But if there was one thing me and the girls could agree is a worrisome flaw in her. It's that's she's…well she's way to altruistic." Blair explained much to Zekiel's confusion
"But isn't that a good thing, to want to help out people just because you want to." Zekiel asked as Blair sighed, but just motioned him to follow her as they made their way outside
"No my dear nephew that's not a bad thing of course. But you're mother doesn't know when to stop, which has cause her a few health problems." Blair explained as she and Zekiel were outside now, making their way over to their hovercar. Once inside, Blair got the car started as it began to hover in the air following the usual directions they would give to follow "Look… it's nothing too bad but she's always tending to neglect her sleep, food and water needs along with just worrying us. Raine has her heart in the right place. Really she does, but your mother has to learn about taking a break and making sure of her own needs."
"I guess…. but what does have to do with me?" Zekiel asked as the hover car was using the usual private lane that his mothers and aunts used. Though Blair looked unamused by the question
"Zekiel please don't play like you don't know. You're mothers have been worried about your recent behavior. Especially when the cops came in with you in handcuffs only a month ago." Blair stated
"They overreacted." Zekiel answered back
"You had blood on you, not your blood to say the least and the people you fought didn't file any law suits on you because they were too scared of you." Blair responded back sternly
"They were harassing a couple of elderly folks, pushing them around and trying to rob them. No one was around what was I supposed to do!?" Zekiel yelled angrily, as Blair didn't let up and gave her nephew a stern look. Zekiel just sighed as he looked out the window with a huff "Beside if you ask me, those people don't deserve to live. No one would miss em."
"…"Blair didn't say, but instead stopped the car as Zekiel almost slammed into the windshield of the car itself, bad memories began to come back into Blair's mind from all those years ago before their rule… her nephews words reminded her of Lady Alma
"Ugh, what the-" Zekiel began to ask, but was cut off by Blair who was giving him a very stern and angry glare that unnerved the young man "Um…w-what-"
"Quiet!" Blair screamed cutting off her nephew once more "Don't you ever dare say those sort of words again. Do you hear me dammit because I swear if I hear that sort of talk again, you better get ready for the punishment of your life time. Do you understand!"
"Ah y-yeah, I am honest auntie Blair. I swear I understand I'm sorry." Zekiel answered as he was so confused on his aunt's sudden reaction "Really I am."
"I know. I'm sorry about that, it's just well, you reminded me somewhat of your grandmother just then. By that I mean your aunt Yoana's and mothers well mom." Blair explained as she felt bad for the sudden reaction
"It's okay really. Though can I ask… but what was she like. You, auntie Yoana and my mom's never have told me or the others about her. Also with the matter of fact our other grandparents." Zekiel replied as he already forgiven his aunt for the outburst "Why is that auntie Blair?"
"Zekiel, that's a real hard question to answer." Blair responded back, though to be honest there was a good reason that she was sworn never to tell since it was Raine and Willow who'd asked her and Yoana to do the same; with no speaking of Lady Alma. So Blair decided to try and quickly change the subject "Look maybe another time we can tell you and the others. But back to the original point of this trip, your mothers wanted me to see if I can just talk with you about your…altruistic tendencies. I know we've taught you all to care for your fellow people. But the way you've been doing it from what Willow has explained, it's been rather violent along with the fact you've been much more tired and ill because of how much time you've been spending trying to help out everyone. It's not healthy to do so much. You know that right, so please just talk with me on this. What's going on with you my dear nephew?"
"Look, auntie Blair I can see you're worried about me. But really it's nothing. I just like helping people, I mean if everyone else is happy then that's good enough for me." Zekiel explained like it was the most common knowledge out there but Blair felt somewhat disturbed by how easily Zekiel was with just living for others without letting himself be truly happy. Even Raine wasn't this altruistic and she was starting to realize that if this wasn't fixed or at least tempered; she could end up having to sooth her sisters as they buried their child one day because of his tendencies
"I…I know, just please try and take care of yourself and know when enough is enough sweetie." Blair asked with a kinder tone as Zekiel just nodded. Blair then start the car again to their destination "Anyways, aside from our little chat. Me, your aunt and ma wanted you to help us pick out a batch of cookies from your grandmothers bakery. You know so we can give it to your mother once me and the girls have the talk with her, about her altruism I mean."
"I'm sure me, grandma and my great aunts can figure out something." Zekiel remarked in amusement, Blair just smiled back as they continued on their way off to the bakery. Though as they did, Blair really couldn't help but still worry for her darling nephew with her right now; she really hoped he wouldn't go too far with his altruism
-Back in the present time-
"Anyways, after that-" Raine continued to, but was cut off as Ruby's, Weiss, Blake and Yang's stomach growled. The girls quickly blushed in embarrassment as their old self's chuckled a bit "Hungry are we, well I guess it's been a bit since we began to tell you our tale."
"Yeah sorry about that. But is there like somewhere we could find some fruit or something to eat?" Ruby asked
"Anything really that we can still eat." Weiss stated as her stomach growled again "Please?"
"Well I guess we can. A moment." Willow answered back, as she began to chant to herself as the rune's on her skin glowed
"Um… what are you-" Yang began to ask, only to stop when somehow a blanket with baskets off food on the ground "What?"
"Bon apatite!" Willow proudly said as the girls just decided not to question it and then made their way onto the blanket before starting to eat fruit and sandwiches from the basket along with having a few cups of tea to drink
"Wow this is really good!" Blake joyfully stated as she was eating a tuna sandwich
"Well it's just a simple spell I can do to make a small picnic for people who need to eat or in case whenever me and the girls needed something to eat quickly. It's not as filing as real food, but it should suffice." Willow explained, though rubbed her forehead a little "Though it is tiring to do."
"Either way it's really good, you mind if we eat a bit before you continue on with the story?" Weiss kindly asked
"Ladies?" Raine asked with a smile as Willow, Blair and Yoana nodded back. Raine then looked back at the girls with a big smile "You're good little ones, eat up and then we'll continue with the story!
"Thank you!" Ruby, Weiss, Blake and Yang happily responded back as they continue on eating while there past selves just watched deciding to take a small break, to simply watch the girls they were now in this era. Though they wondered how the others on this world now were doing, since they'd been dragged along
-Meanwhile at the Normandy-
"Ugh….my head…god my head…." Elizabeth muttered as she was on the ground in her bedroom for some reason. Even though she knew she had been with Doctor Chakwas moments ago, but maybe the trial of her own foot prints leading up to where she now laid explained that for some reason she moved over to her bedroom. She slowly got up, feeling sore a little from laying on the hard floor, then made her way out. Once outside her bedroom she noticed something was off. It was quiet, too quiet "Okay, now this is kind of creepy."
"You're telling me." Garrus suddenly stated from the right of Elizabeth, rubbing his forehead a bit
"AH!" Elizabeth screamed in response, as she decked Garrus across the face with a right hook knocking him over on the ground. Elizabeth took a few more moments, before realizing who she hit "Oh ah…sorry, you okay?"
"Yeah… yeah I am. Because I like getting hit in the face by my friends." Garrus remarked as Elizabeth gave him a hand back up on his feet "Damn that stings. You sure you ain't part Krogan?"
"Garrus you know I'm not the best at biology. But I think I remember learning that male Turians have their special little friend in the same area our human males have. I'm wearing steel toe boots, want to test a theory if these can cause enough damage down there; even with armor?" Elizabeth asked with an amused smirk as Garrus rubbed the back of his head awkwardly
"Point taken. You're the scary boss." Garrus replied in a slight joking manner as Elizabeth began to tapping her fingers together in a mock evil manner
"Yes, yes good my minion. You have learned well at who your master is. Mwahahaha!" Elizabeth replied back with a stereotypical evil tone as Garrus just let his odd commander be
"Funny, but for real am I just another minion?" Garrus asked as Elizabeth stopped her act and gave her friend a small smile
"Nah. You're more like my second in command." Elizabeth explained kindly as she patted his shoulder
"Eh better than simple minion." Garrus replied as Elizabeth chuckled a bit, before calming down
'Guess so, anyways jokes aside. But where are the-" Elizabeth asked, only to be cut off as the comms went on suddenly
"Hey ah commander, Garrus can you hear me easily?" Joker asked over the comms as Elizabeth went over the comms near the seconds floors entrance and turned it on
'Roger, what's the situation?" Elizabeth asked back
"Well ah… you know it might be better if you can come up on the first floor." Joker suggested before turning off the comms
"Wonder what that's about?" Garrus asked in slight confusion
"Don't know, but lets see what's going on topside." Elizabeth stated as she and Garrus made their way up the stairs of the second floor, then into the first floor. Once on the first floor, they saw Ashely, Kaidan, Tali, Liara, Wrex and Doctor Chakwas all standing around the galaxy map with a few bruises along with cuts; but also seeming confused. Though it was Liara who took notice of the two
"Oh goddess, you're both alright." Liara happily said with a relieved tone as the others then took notice of the them, while Garrus and Elizabeth moved up to them. Garrus giving Liara a nod of appreciation and Elizabeth giving Liara a hug, before letting go seconds later
"Glad to see you're all alright too." Elizabeth happily stated as she gave the others a hug also, then moved over to Tali hugging her and the giving her a kiss on the side of her mask "And I'm very glad you're alright."
"I know same here. Still, do either you or Garrus have an idea of what happened?" Tali replied back
"Nope. But Joker said for us to come up here so he could explain." Garrus answered
"That's what he told us, but that we had to wait until everyone was up here." Ashely explained, then looked over to see Joker using his crutches to get to them "Hey you're out of your seat for once, can I take a picture. This is a memory worth saving."
"Very funny.' Joker replied with a deadpanned tone, then turned his attention to Elizabeth "Nice to see you're alright, but since you and Garrus are here now. Follow me all of you, you'll want to see this."
"See what?" Elizabeth asked, but only got an answer from Joker who waved his hand for them to follow. Elizabeth sighed, but did so along with the others. Once they and Joker were at the hatch from the inside to the ship to the outside of where ever they were. Elizabeth decided to ask once more "Okay, now can you please tell us what's going on Joker?"
"In a second, we have to go outside first and before you ask. I already got the ship to do a scan of the place. The air is breathable. Very breathable and for where we are well… it's interesting." Joker explained as the others looked to one another, while Joker himself opened the hatch
Once opened the group followed Joker out, then saw their surroundings. They were currently in a forest with tall trees with green leaf's, the sun shining through the trees and the ground beneath them just dirt. Elizabeth took notice that the Normandy had somehow been safely landed on the ground, though that wasn't what got her and the others attention. What got their attention was the group of around two dozen dead Grimm's, Beowulf's to be exact all with shots through their skulls or having been ripped in half by something.
"Hey ah Joker, not saying you aren't capable of keeping yourself safe and all. But did you do all this?" Kaidan asked rubbing his eyes to make sure he was seeing was actually there
"Yeah. Personally it's kind of hard to picture you taking this many Grimm out." Wrex stated "You know with your weak frame, scrawny look, crippled bones."
"Alright I get it, what is this pick on the cripple day?" Joker asked slightly irritated
"Oh is that today, I thought I'd put it on for tomorrow." Liara remarked, as Joker looked at her oddly
"Wait are you being serious here?" Joker asked as Liara smirked
"No of course not. But I just wanted to psych you out as you humans call it." Liara explained with a sense of pride "Did I do good?"
"Yes… yes you did." Joker kindly responded as he seemed to be holding in some tears
"Joker are you crying?" Tali asked raising an eyebrow under her helmet
"No just feeling pride in Liara right now." Joker answered like father proud of his daughters accomplishment
"I don't know if I should be scared that Liara is learning something from Joker or happy that she's getting out of that blue little shell of hers." Ashely asked with a deadpanned tone
"Depends on your perspective Ashely, it all depends." Karen answered kindly as Joker seemed done with his moment and gained control back of himself
"Okay back to the point. No I didn't do this ,well okay I took two of these things out. The others here were the ones who killed the rest." Joker explained
"The rest?" Elizabeth asked confused beyond belief, until she got her answer
"She means us miss." A man said kindly, as Elizabeth and the others; though without their weapons at the moment turned around quickly ready to attack anyways until they stopped seeing that their sudden guest were…well species that came from their galaxy oddly enough. The group consisted of a human woman, an Asari, a Turian female, a Quarian male, a Krogan male, a Salarian male and a Threll male all with weapons along with odd gear for the human woman
"Hey now, no need to attack us. Look sorry for the scare but we're friends. Honest, Joker can vouch for us." The human woman stated with a kind tone as the group looked back at Joker
"Joker?" Elizabeth asked
"Yep. They've been stuck her for a while now and came over to our ship when it landed. Help kill all these Grimm's as you can see." Joker explained as he gave Elizabeth a thumbs up "Has this face ever lied to you?"
"Hm well…. want me to get the list?" Elizabeth joked as Joker smirked a bit, getting a quick laugh out of the two. Then seconds later Elizabeth turned her attention to the new comers "Alright if Joker say's you're fine the you are. But why are you here and how did you get here?"
"All will be answered, but-" The Quarian stated, until a loud a very loud roar echoed "But we need to get back to out home base before anything. Oh can I ask you a quick question though miss?"
"Um sure…wait what's your name anyways?" Elizabeth asked as she had totally forgotten to ask these people their names
"Right sorry it's been an odd few weeks here." The Quarian stated "I'm Kalzar the one in charge here I guess."
"Annabelle, a pleasure." The human Annabelle kindly answered next as she gave the group a two finger salute
"Virack." The Krogan Virack answered now as he noticed Wrex "So you got an old timer with you, surprised he's still kicking for this long. Most Krogan now die before they even reach you're Krogans age."
"Most Krogan are to gun ho to think once in a while, like you are running you're mouth punk." Wrex sternly stated, then smirked "Play it smart and maybe I can teach you a thing or two kid."
"Heh, if you can I'll pay you in credits when I can. Make it a good thousand." Virack replied back as Wrex just amusing chuckled as a way to say he was all in for the bet
"Anyways I'm Karina. The little sister of the group." The Asari Karina joked a bit, while the Turian just elbowed her side a bit
"Yeah pet's more like it." The Turian female remarked as Karina stuck out her tongue, only for Karina to grab the tip of her tongue before letting go as Karina groaned in slight pain "Anyways I'm Ranya."
"You're so mean sometime Ranya." Karina pouted as she was glad her tongue hadn't been ripped off
"I'm sure she's just being that way because she cares about you." The Drell calmly said, as Ranya huffed. The Drell shrugged before he gave Elizabeth's group a quick bow "Greetings new allies. You may call me Enzar. I hope our cooperation's together will be splendid."
"And I'm Dingreg. I hope you're able to keep up with us in the near; very near future." The Salarian Dingreg stated with a nod while Elizabeth crossed her arms studying the group
"I see. Let me asked though but what's a Quarian Marine, a N7 operative, a Krogan Merc, a Drell Assassin, an Asari Commando, an ex Turian Black Watch operative and a Salarian STG all doing in a group along with the fact you all somehow ended up on…well whatever the hell this place is?" Elizabeth asked curiously as both groups were surprised she pieced who they were so quickly. Though that didn't seem to deter Elizabeth as she had more pressing questions to ask "Speaking of which where the hell are we, where are the girls, where are the kids, our crew, our friends and can we please just get some answers here?"
"Ah sorry she's kind of….tense right now." Garrus stated as Elizabeth gave him a glare along with a raised eyebrow "What it's true."
"Fine…" Elizabeth explained while Kalzar got her and her groups attention with a quick cough
"Alright first off if you're referring to the first four as the girls we don't know where they are along with most of your crew mates. For the kids as you asked, well we have back at camp four human teen boys, three human girls, one well teen girl with bunny ears as she called them, one human teen girl who seems to think she's an android along two more slightly older girls with them. One of the older girls who have wolf ears and say's she's the same as the teen girl with the bunny ears. Then we also have at camp two adult's and one dog as you humans called the animal. For where you are well…follow me all of you and you'll see." Kalzar answered as he and his group began making their way south of their ship
Elizabeth sighed, motioning the others to follow her as she had a feeling the Normandy would be safe enough for now. As the group made their way off, though with Wrex being picked to carry joker since the man wouldn't be able to keep up. After what seemed to be thirty minutes of silences through the forest. They finally stopped at the edge of a destroyed city of sorts that looked old and ruined. Elizabeth and her group we're confused. While Kalzar and his group turned back to face them. Kalzar took a deep breath before breaking the news of where they were.
"Well then, we would like you all to enjoy you're stay in the city Vale or more to the fact what I'm trying to say is… welcome to Remnant." Kalzar stated, as Elizabeth and the others just stood there looking at what must have been the girls original home. Though honestly they didn't know what to say at this point but stare wide eyed, but Elizabeth just hoped the girls were faring better then she and the others were currently
-Back with team RWBY an hour later-
"Oh that was so yummy, thanks older Weiss!" Ruby joyfully said as she wiped her mouth with a napkin while the small picnic Willow had conjured up disappeared from under the girls. Blake and Yang seemed famished, while Weiss sighed in relief that they had something good to eat finally
"Yes thank you kindly Willow. After eating mostly MRE's for a good month or two they tend to get a little bland to keep eating." Weiss stated as she was hoping that Willow's cooking skills would come to her hereditarily thanks to their revelation that the runes were already growing a stronger connection to their past life's every second
"I'm just surprised that Willow had a whole tuna section made just for me or well Blair or….you know what I mean." Blake said as she was giddy with glee for having so much delicious, mouthwatering tuna
"And that she also had a whole stock pile of beef sandwiches." Yang joyfully remarked as she let out a quick burp
"Nice one." Yoana remarked back as she gave Yang a thumbs up
"Ugh…. even in your new life you're reincarnation has a lack of manners." Willow said with a deadpanned tone
"Oh Willow I only burped because that food was…" Yang started to say as she smirked, while the girls got a quick idea on what she was about to do
"Please…."Weiss asked first as she cringed already
"Don't…" Ruby asked next as her eye was twitching slightly
"YANG-tastic!" Yang shouted proudly "Eh, eh how was that one gals?"
"Dammit dear." Blake said with a sigh as she pinched the bridge of her nose from her girlfriends bad puns yet again "Why…for the love of god why?"
"Sweet dear us, that transferred over to Yang. Why?" Raine asked as she, Willow and Blair looked in slight horror that Yoana's need to do bad puns had gone over to Yang
"Ah come on sis. It's not all that bad, actually speaking of puns…" Yoana replied as she was smirking now, while her group noticed this too along with team RWBY
"No/No!" Both Ruby, Raine, Weiss, Willow, Blake and Blair screamed as Yang was already smiling in utter glee
"YO-ANA hear some more?" Yoana asked as Yang made the classical 'dun-dun-dun' drum sound with her mouth "Nice sound effect little me!"
"Nice pun big me!" Yang responded as she and Yoana gave each other a quick high five with an already quickly strengthen bonds being made between them
"Please get back to this story before they do more puns!" Ruby pleaded as Yoana and Yang seemed to be discussing new ways to get people with their horrible… horrible puns
"Oh ah yeah right…ah…ah. Okay anyways make this a quicker retelling. Each of us had fun with our nieces and nephews, along with learning a few things about them some more. It was a nice day…I just wished it would have stayed that way after that day." Willow began to start explain again as she donned on a very sad look from the good memories
-Shopping district with Willow and Amber 50,000 years ago-
"Oh look at this store Amber, it's selling summer dresses!" Willow joyfully squealed as she and Amber were walking around the shopping center of the city; though getting some stares as some people would instantly recognize who they were
"Joy…" Amber muttered with little enthusiasm as though she loved spending time with her auntie Willow, she just hated shopping so damn much. Though Willow seemed not to notice the sarcasm in her nieces tone as she dragged her into the shop. Once inside, Amber could see a dozen or so women inside the store along with racks after racks of dresses, stockings, high heels and make up. Much to Ambers horror, her aunt had taken her into what she called 'A girly-girl' store. Not that she hated people who wore this stuff, but this wasn't her at all. She was the tomboy who also happened to be a princess which was ironic when she though of it. But her train of thought was cut off as she was yet again dragged by Willow towards a dress rack
"Amber look sweetie I think I found a dress already that would fit you so well." Willow ecstatically stated as she already had pulled out orange dress. Which made Amber awkwardly cringe as she liked the color, but hated the fact it was…a dress
"Thanks….really thanks." Amber responded back trying to be as nice as she could with her aunt, even if she already wanted to run away. But she would endure it for her beloved auntie Willow, who yet again dragged her off to a dressing room picking up a pair of black open toed high heels along with a few other things much to Ambers increasing fear "Auntie Willow what are you-"
"Hush my dear niece. You'll see just try these on and I know you'll love it." Willow explained as she pushed Amber into one of the dressing rooms, closing the door as her niece locked the door. Willow then waited as she hoped her niece would like the dress, heels and accessories she had picked out
Not that Willow had an issue with how Amber dressed, actually despite her lack of a liking with fashion. Her niece seemed to know how to still dress quiet well and stunning at that. But Willow wanted her niece to….well from what her mothers had stated when they talked to her and Raine about it, but they had wanted Amber to expand her clothing wardrobe to see the brighter side of dressing up. Though that along with the case one day when she and her sisters would pass, their kids would indeed take the roles as their heirs, so they also had wanted Amber to learn to get use to dress for when she needed to dress up at royal meetings. Still Willow personally saw that her niece could definitely make anything look good on her, she had that sort of natural beauty that no makeup could enhance. Still as she waited for what seemed to be a few more minutes, until she heard the locks on the door unlock and the door to the dressing room open. When Amber stepped out, Willow couldn't help but smile and tear up on how stunning her darling niece looked.
"So…how do I look?" Amber asked quietly as she was surprised by her aunts sudden reaction to her dress, which though the plain dress orange complemented her well, along with the black open toed heels. She also wore the accessories Willow had gotten her which was a simple orange headband with a black fake flower, a set of orange wrist bands and a grey waist belt. She had to admit, the colors weren't bad but she was somewhat uncomfortable as she really wasn't use to wearing dresses along with wearing heels which she kind was thankful she had enough practice with to walk stand and somewhat run in. Still the fact that her aunt was actually tearing up, smiling and not saying anything made her feel even more uncomfortable; though some of the stares weren't helping at all "Auntie Willow…c-come on is it really that bad?"
"Bad…" Willow whispered as she suddenly hugged Amber crying tears of joy "You look absolutely stunning, a beauty beyond comprehension, a cutie puttie, oh my darling adorable niece you're a true angel!"
"Okay, okay I get. Please just stop crying you're making a scene..." Amber shyly stated as people in the store were staring at them somewhat, before going back to their own business. Willow sheepishly chuckled, before letting go of Amber
"Right sorry about that. But really, you look like an angel dear. So pretty, pure hearted and graceful. Honest." Willow kindly stated as she held her nieces hands to help calm the girl down since she knew Amber was…iffy about this stuff, but it made her feel better when she saw the young lady smile just a little
"Thanks auntie Willow. Really thank you." Amber responded back, but the moment was ruined when she overheard a three teen's her own age whispering and looking at her along with Willow slightly
"Isn't that queen Willow?" The first teen whispered
"Yeah, isn't she so beautiful and that girl. Did I hear right that she's her niece. The only princess we have along side our three princes?" The second teen whispered back
"That is her, hm… looks like she enjoyed the attention just a moment ago." The third teen in the group whispered with a snarky tone as Amber flinched somewhat
"Yeah and you know she's not really princess like now that I think about it. More like a street rat trying to play proper lady." The first girl whispered with a mocking snicker
"Must be fun to be a spoiled rich girl." The first girl whispered last, as Amber huffed angrily as she scowled a bit with some tears threatening their way out as she booked angrily walked out of the store as the alarms went off since she didn't pay for anything. Willow quickly gave the girls a glare as she had overheard herself, then quickly paid the cashier the money since she had added it up in her head beforehand. Willow made her way out, trying to see if she could find her niece. She looked everywhere, but after half an hour she finally found her just outside of the shopping center near a pet store sitting on a bench thankfully alone. Willow quickly if not quietly made her way into the pet store, before coming back out minutes later with a small box with a bow and a few air holes poked into it then placing it gently on the left side of the bench where she stood at. Willow moved up next to Amber, seeing that she had been crying a bit "Amber, do you mind if I sit with you?"
"Sure…" Amber muttered as Willow took a seat, before it became quiet for a few moments "You know…. they're kind of right."
"Hm?" Willow asked as she wanted to see what her niece was getting at
"I'm not like a princess really. You know the ones in those stories my mom's would read me when I couldn't sleep. I'm not graceful, more to the fact I tend to be clumsy. I'm not proper as you know since pigs have better manners then me and… I'm not…well I'm just not anything like a princess. This outfit I'm wearing is the closest thing I have to feeling like one." Amber explained as Willow just kept quiet seeing if her niece had anything else to say "My mom always told me whenever we trained that duty to family and the people is the most important thing of all. I believe that truly I do, so I tended to pay attention more to my duty to the people and the ones I love, nothing else. Now because of that the throne is stuck with having a tomboy princess…. not the princess I'm sure everyone expects me to be."
"Amber that's not true you know that right?" Willow asked as Amber huffed a bit
"Yeah right…. this coming from the most voted proper queen out of the four queens. Heck, even my mom the tomboy of your group is more lady like then I'll ever be." Amber replied bitterly, only to be surprised when she heard Willow start to laugh a little making Amber fluster a bit "W-What's so funny?"
"Oh, oh my dear niece it's just that you are way off about me." Willow explained as she clamed herself quickly "You see dear, even though I am very proper and such now. Trust me on this, until us actually becoming queens. I was basically then tomboy of our group." Willow explained as Amber went wide eyed
"No way." Amber said back in disbelief
"Yes indeed. You're mama was actually the more proper one between us along with you mom and your aunt. I was absolutely the most ill mannered young teenaged girl back then. I didn't have respect for authority much, ate way worse then you ever did and….I hated dresses." Willow explained
"No…no that is…what?" Amber responded back as she found this a shocking amount of information
"Yep. So before you ask, I'm you this because I know you need to hear it. Amber sweetie, the main reason I took you out to shop was not because you hated it and that I wanted to get you into it. Well okay maybe that was part of it, but I also wanted to show you that despite you're quote on quote 'Tomboy' appearance. You can still look like such an angel, besides who wants to be proper boring lady. Tomboys rule." Willow explained as Amber suddenly gave her a big hug, Willow smiled hugging her back
"Thanks auntie Willow, you're so awesome!" Amber joyfully remarked as she and Willow let one another go
"I know." Willow replied back, before she and Amber got out of their seats "Anyway's I have one more surprise for you."
"What?" Amber curiously asked, until she saw her aunt pick up the box with air holes and a bow. Amber suddenly went wide eyed Willow handed her the box and having a very good idea what it was much to her joy "Oh my… is this?"
"Go on an open it silly child." Willow amusingly replied back as Amber quickly did so before she squealed adorably pulling out a small white kitten "Happy birthday Amber."
"Oh my gosh, oh m freaking, fracking gosh she is adorable!" Amber squealed once again as she already was intensely attached to the kitten, who seemed oddly attached to her in the same way "Thank you so much auntie Willow!"
"You're welcome Amber. But thank you're moms when you can since they were the ones that told me you always wanted a kitten as your pet. You're brother hasn't decided along with my sons. But still, Amber you have to take care of this kitten, she's you're responsibility."
"So she's a girl then, good to know and yeah promise I will take care of little…. Millianna no matter what. She's part of the family now and you know I take care of family amazingly great." Amber explained proudly as she had already picked a name and was snuggling with her newest family member
"I believe you." Willow happily stated as she knew Amber would keep her promise on that. She then got up stretching a bit as Amber got up too. Without even having to say anything, Willow began her way off back to the car. Amber followed holding Millianna in her arms happy as she could be.
Though for Willow, she wondered how her son's were faring off with her sisters, Eric because she knew her son/ main student really could use some more social skills. Which was why she knew Yoana was the perfect pick to help him out with that and she really had not that much to worry on since she had so much faith in her son Eric. No who she was worried about dearly was her other son Zekiel. She and Raine had a heated argument with him when he came in a while ago in handcuffs for his little… fight with some thugs picking on a couple of elderly folks. Though Willow did have to admit if she were with her so Zekiel then, she would have helped too though maybe in a different way. Since the way her son at the time helped had been extremely violent and the blood that had been caked on his clothing hadn't helped to quell her worry. Still even though things now were better, she still worried that her son might be going down a path that she or Raine would never let him go down if they had anything to say about it. Still that saying her wife told her son over and over during their training didn't help, 'The greater good of all is what everyone should inspire to do. Everyone deserves to be happy and safe no matter what. So do what you have to do to make sure that happens.' It's not that it was a bad saying, but Willow had to admit that it may have been what helped grown their sons altruistic tendencies, as Zekiel seem to take that lesson very literally. Still she just really hoped that both of her sons were doing alright today.
-With Eric and Yoana-
"Eric-bo-beric come on I want to see you smile!" Yoana stated happily as she was walking along side the street with darling nephew who himself was just staying quiet as he they passed by many of their citizens who took notice of them before continuing their way off
"Hm…" Eric grunted as he already was regretting this, but damnit his mother was way to persuasive with that concern look of hers and he again really could never say no to her. Still he never minded spending time with his auntie Yoana, since he and her were like best of friends. Still the stares people gave them, he knew it was because he was royalty by adoption rights; but still… the stares the people gave them even if not ill willed made him uncomfortable. His aunt seem to notice as she gave him a softer smile for a moment.
"I know you have issues with socialization. But Eric you know you're going to have to deal with it once you, your brother and cousins take the throne. You know that right?" Yoana asked as she knew her nephew had some bad issues with talking with anyone outside the family. But she also knew his mothers had asked her to help him with that, since she was the most talkative when it came to speaking with the public
"Yeah I do…. look I know I can be difficult at times when it comes to social outings. But, I just don't feel comfortable with people." Eric explained "How the heck do you do it, I mean keep so calm talking with so many people?"
"I can't really say. You just find that one day you can, still I'm sure you'll find that out one way or another." Yoana kindly explained as she stopped in front of a large casual restaurant called 'The Spot' "Well here we are!"
"Why are we here?" Eric asked as he had a bad feeling about this already
"Because what better what of getting people to talk with you then going to our cities most well know restaurant, where our most respected citizen's eat at." Yoana answered with a smirk
"Wait…no….no please god auntie Yoana no!" Eric pleaded as he knew, so very well knew what this place was. He never had gone into it, though that could be said the same about his brother and cousins too. But he had heard of this place, a place where…..socialization was at an all time high. In more simpler words, his true utter living hell
"Oh yes my dear nephew." Yoana joyfully stated as she dragged Eric along with her. Once inside they saw a large, very large room with dozens upon dozens of tables in it. Wealthy Men, women, boys, girls of all ages sat in the tables conversing with one another. Eric looked pale already, which Yoana found this amusing as she went over to a young female greeter who was busy looking over some papers she was reading "Excuse me miss, a table for two please."
"Hm, let me guess you just stumbled in here and thought you could come in just because you're a citizen of our great unified nation. Well I do apologize to have to tell you missy, but this place is for the only most respectable and well know individuals here. People who put their all in making our nation the way it is. So you'll just have to leave." The female greeter bluntly stated looking at her papers still, as it sounded like she had been having to tell many people this day in and day out
"I think you can place us in that category then." Yoana stated sweetly as the woman sighed in frustration
"Miss, please just-" The woman began to say looking up, but stopped and went pale seeing who it really was she had been speaking with
"You were saying?" Yoana asked in utter amusement as Eric sheepishly smiled
"M-M-My queen, prince Eric I am so sorry for my behavior. T-Truly I am. Please forgive me of course w-we have a table!" The woman stated in a stutter, looking nervous beyond belief
"Hey calm down it was an honest, if not admittedly rude mistake but all is well. Just try being a bit nicer next time okay?" Yoana suggested as she gave the woman a pat on her shoulder
"O-Of course my queen, h-here let me personally s-show you and t-the prince to the table w-we have." The female greeter replied back as she took two menus and gave a nervous smile. Yoana internally sighed as she knew their people respected them well enough, but seeing how nervous they could be reminded her way too much of how her mother used to be seen. But she didn't know how to ease the young woman's nervousness. But then something odd occurred, as she saw Eric simply walk up to the girl and hold her right hand with both of his hands
"Eric?" Yoana muttered as she had never seen Eric just do something like this, so easily and especially with a girl; but that wasn't the end of the surprises
"My dear lady for ever am I ashamed for striking sudden fear into you. A maiden as lovely and hard working as you should be placed in such a higher position in life. But at last you valiantly accept such a humble life career. You're will is to be commemorated. So again I ask…" Eric explained as the he gave the woman a warm smile, kissed the woman's hand for a moment before looking back with a sad look "May you forgive me for letting I and my aunt's position in life unnerved you so bad my lady."
"Oh ah no, no, no it's fine really…oh it's really fine. Follow me to you're table please my prince." The lady greeter flirty stated as she began leading Eric and a stunned Yoana to their table. Once seated, the greeter told them that she would be back to take their orders personally and quickly gave Eric her number before flirty giggling making her way to the kitchen in the back. Eric smiled before noticing his aunt just looking at him oddly
"What?" Eric asked in utter confusion
"What, you're asking what. Well it seems that maybe you don't need help with socialization. What was that right now, you made a girl blush, feel like a princess and got her number within one conversation with her. What's up with that?" Yoana asked back as she really wanted to know how her so called 'socially inept' nephew became so flirty, though that might also be because her protective auntie nature was kicking in –"If any girl thinks their good enough for my nephew, they'll have to get through me first before they can get to my darling nephew. PROTECTIVE AUNTIE POWERS ACTIVATE!"-
"Huh, she was scared and nervous why wouldn't I try to help her feel better?" Eric asked raising an eyebrow at his aunt's question. Yoana quickly broken out her little state of self-thought hearing that, as she herself became confused
"Hang on, are you saying that you only can be so…flirty or better case; you can be so social is when you see people are in distress?" Yoana asked curiously
"Well yeah…but, maybe it's because she's more honest than anyone else here. You and me excluded." Eric explained
"Honest?" Yoana asked as she motioned her nephew to continue
"Yeah… I have this weird gift I haven't really told any of you since I've been kind of trying to quell it for the past few years. Since now it's at it's strongest. But I can read people's aura's I guess you can called it oddly enough. Not like your aura auntie, but more of like their life aura you could say. It tells me a persons intentions when it comes to who they are and what they are doing, like lying about their own intentions. So with that explained, most people here are dark red, meaning their lying at a constant. The girl that's serving us right now, she's bright green meaning she's been full honest and such." Eric shyly explained, Yoana though didn't say anything as she felt her nephew was going to say more on this "To be honest with myself though, even if this power is useful. It's kind of made me iffy with people these past few years since a lot are dark red. I mean how the hell can you trust people after seeing that much deceit in people… it makes you wonder how the hell you can trust anyone really…"
"Eric, can you see mine and the rest of our families aura's?" Yoana asked curiously as she gave her nephew a comforting pat on the back. Eric just looked at her smiling just a little
"Thankfully no, but I mean why would I ever doubt any of you in my family." Eric kindly answered as the greeter then came back, asking for their what they'd like to drink along with mostly flirting with Eric now. But for Yoana she just began to think to herself once more, taking in this new information
She found it good that nephew seemed to be not as bad with socialization as his mothers thought, even if it was because of his powers that seemed to be what helped him determine on who he trusted. Still she wondered how Willow would think of this, her sister never liked it when her sons kept secrets from her. Not that she was noisy, but she tended to be just over protective of her boys. Still she did think her nephew did have a problem, his problem with easily trusting other. Even if was just them in the family, the fact that he could trust so easily would be troublesome for her nephew if or whenever he decided to start trusting people outside the family once more. But she would discuss it with her sisters later on, for now she just wanted to enjoy the day out with her nephew. She just wondered how the others were doing and how her adorable son Draco was faring since she could already tell her daughter Amber was most likely faring better.
-With Draco and Raine-
"Aunt Raine what are we doing here, in this park. This boring, boring park?" Draco asked curiously as currently he and Raine were just sitting on the bench in their nation's capital park. He used to like the park, but after a while it lost its… charm at least to him
"Were here to enjoy this place, the fresh air, the people and just to enjoy the miracles that life has offered us!" Raine joyfully answered as she gave her nephew a big, wide smile making Draco only feeling guiltier that he was being pessimistic since he knew his aunt really wanted for him to enjoy the park like she was
"Ah I see…. you know we haven't been in here in ages right. It's probably not the same park that we use to go to." Draco bluntly remarked with a sigh as he looked around to still see the usual things you'd see in the park. Kids playing with one another, parents speaking with each other, people walking their pets, a slightly suspicious woman trying to lure a little girl away with small chat "WAIT WHAT?"
"Huh, what's wrong Draco?" Raine asked as she was a bit startled by her nephews suddenly outburst
"There's someone trying to take that little girl away!" Draco explained pointing to the women who was talking with the little girl. Raine raised an eyebrow as it seems like just a relative talking to her kid
"Draco, buddy I think your pessimistic tendencies is making things out that aren't really happening. I mean how can you tell that the women talking with the little girl isn't her mom or even an older sibling?" Raine suggested as Draco was about to argue, but wasn't able to as his aunt was dragging him off to a nearby ice-cream stand "Come on maybe some sweets will help you feel happier."
"No wait auntie Raine the kid!" Draco yelled as he kept his focus on the little girl and the woman who were still conversing. Draco then started to think, maybe the two were just related. He sighed before he felt his aunt stop into a small line that had formed to get some ice cream. Raine happily looked at him, before suddenly cringing "Auntie Raine?"
"Sorry…I have to use the little ladies room. Save my spot be right back!" Raine explained as she ran to the lady's room, while some of the people there just watched the odd sight of one of their queens running to said bathroom like a little kid
"Sometimes I wonder how they're the adults." Draco muttered in slight amusements as he sighed once more. Mostly because he was yet again letting his pessimism get the better of him. It's not that he meant to, he just saw the world more differently. Still at least his family was willing to put up with it. Maybe he did need to just be somewhat more positive, all this stress probably wasn't helping with his health. So Draco just took a deep breath and smiled for once, then looked back to see the very same woman now taking the child who was now staring at him with a worried look. Draco went wide eyed as they were moving away very quickly "CRAP!"
With that Draco quickly booked it off to catch the woman, passing by people quickly as he was getting somewhat closer to the woman. He kept trying his best to get close having a terrible feeling at what the woman was going to do to the young girl who by this point was tearing up in fear from his guest. He kept trying to get closer and closer as by this point they were in the area of the park that had barley anyone in it. After a few more seconds of chasing the woman, said woman suddenly tripped falling to her knee's while still keeping a grasp on the little girl. Draco ran up to the woman grabbing her by the arm.
"Hey what the hell do you think you're doing with that kid lady!" Draco asked angrily as the woman kept a hold on the little girl, starting to tear up now "Why the hell are you crying now, scared because you got caught you sick freak!"
"N-No, it's not that. I-" The woman began to say, but stopped when she looked back to see the angry look on Draco's face
"Shut up, you're coming with me I'm taking you to the police!" Draco stated sternly as he grabbed the woman's arm hard, though the little girl seemed to get even more worried when she saw this
"DON'T TAKE MY BIG SISTER AWAY!" The little girl suddenly pleaded making Draco stop
"Your… big sister?" Draco asked as he blinked his eyes a few times, waiting for his brain to full process this –"Shit…"-
"Yes she's my little sister and I was getting her way from you. It though you were planning on kidnapping her!" The big sister stated worriedly as she hugged her little sister with a tearful look, while her little sister hugged back trying to make her big sister feel better. Draco wanted to say something, but his mind was now in a slight state of panic as he heard footsteps from behind and saw his angry auntie looking at him crossed arm
"What did I tell you?" Raine asked sternly as Draco sighed, rubbing the back of his head "Well?"
"That… this woman was probably related to the girls somehow." Draco answered shyly
"Yes and I was right. Now if you had listened to me then right now you wouldn't be getting scolded while I had to catch up to you. But I'll let your mothers know about this later. I have other business to attended to." Raine explained as she then turned her attention to the woman and her little sister, both who were still nervous "I'm so sorry about my nephew. He just tends to… take things out of proportion at times. I hope you two weren't hurt."
"N-No my lady… we apologize. We didn't realized this young man was the prince." The lady explained shyly as she held onto her little sister
"Oh hush young lady, it's no problem really. My nephew should have taken into consideration you were most likely related to the young girl." Raine explained kindly as she the girl got back up holding her little sister in her arms
"T-Thank for understanding my lady. M-May we go now?" The woman asked nervously
"Of course I wish you two a better rest of the day." Raine replied back as the woman nodded leaving the area as her little sister clung onto her. Once gone Raine looked back at her nephew who cringed a bit knowing he was going to be scolded one way or another "So, what do you have to say?"
"I… I'm sorry." Draco answered as he gave her a slightly nervous smile, only to see his aunt motioning him to continue on "I'm sorry for not listening to you, for not taking your word and for….well not trying to see the positives."
"You better be because I have half a mind to ground you for a month because of this. Draco this is one of the reasons why you have to START THINKING POSTIVILY!" Raine scolded as Draco flinched a bit, Raine then sighed as she gave her nephew a soft smile "Look I know things can be bad at times, even in the utopia we live in. But it's not all that bad, not bad enough for you to be even suspicious of what was clearly an older sibling playing with her younger sibling to strengthen their bonds. I mean seriously what could be so bad to make you so pessimistic?"
"Because….. because what's the point." Draco answered as he took a seat on a park bench near them, resting his head onto his hands
"What's the point. Draco what are you talking about?" Raine asked sitting next to Draco as she was utterly confused on what her nephew was going on about
"I mean… I mean just life itself. Like what's the point of doing everything we do in our lifetimes if in the end we just die." Draco bitterly explained, sighing once more "It just… just seems like a cruel joke you know?"
"Draco. I…. I can understand what you mean." Raine replied kindly as Draco looked to her oddly "What?"
"You can, you the most chipper woman I think anyone will ever meet. You can agree with me in this?" Draco asked curiously
"Oh yes I can. Draco trust me on this but despite how happy I am and the same goes for you mothers along with you aunt. But despite our happy attitudes, we've seen things back in the old world as we called it. Things that were very glad no one now, including you kids have to deal with." Raine explained "Trust me on that."
"But how can you be so…happy still. Happy even after seeing whatever these things you saw. How?' Draco asked in utter confusion, only to be more confused as Raine chuckled
"Oh Draco you're still young and I can't blame you for not seeing it." Raine explained as she gave him a quick hug, before looking around the park itself "But for how. Well just look at this place. The life in it, the joy that is made from those around. Life isn't meant to be forever, for death is the most honorific event to happen in the end of those who die. It shows that they lived a life worth living, finding love, friends and giving onto our world here even more new life. But all in all, we can be happy because we are living in the now and making memories."
"I see….maybe…maybe you're right." Draco responded back with a small smile –"Best not to tell her my…plans I had for myself. Might take a few years…but still best not to tell auntie Raine or the rest of my family."-
"See grumpy pants, there we go. The sunshine in this world!" Raine joyfully stated getting up and dragging her nephew by the arm to where the ice cream stand was "Now come on, we still need some sweets to eat. I'll pay for you, aunties treat!"
"Whatever you say auntie Ruby. Thanks." Draco responded back as he decided just to enjoy the rest of this day with his aunt
Meanwhile Raine was glad her nephew was starting to try and see the bright side of things. She already knew the others would enjoy their days out. But she couldn't help but have an odd bad feeling in her stomach. But only when it came to thinking about her son Zekiel. Eric, Draco and Amber were all alright, though she knew they had their own problems. But also knew that could get through it as she had faith in them. But when it came to Zekiel, her student, her son, her little buddy. She worried dearly. He was like her in many ways, she knew that she could tend to be a bit to altruistic. She knew that the others worried for her and also knew they were going to most likely very soon have a talk with her about it. But Zekiel's altruism already was getting out of control, still she knew it was her fault for helping nurture that tendency in her son when they talked. But Raine could already tell the damage was done, all she could do now was just try to guide her darling, troubled and good hearted son to a path that would cause the least amount of damage. At least… she hopped she could.
-3 years later-
-"Three years past, like usual normal family events happened. Arguments, training, good times, bad times, Blair getting Eric a pup he called LuLu as a thank you to willow for getting their daughter the pet she had wanted so badly. Still as our kids grew, Eric and Amber seemed to be the most well-adjusted, Draco also if he had his quirks. Zekiel. Well he was still the same kind hearted young man, he got in trouble at times, but still he did it all with the best of intentions even if things between us became tense to say. But still it was again my fault for how he ended up. Especially when I took him to the Levitants home world to see how their long project had finished up. I… I didn't know…I didn't know then…"-
"So Isilvan how have you been, it's been awhile since we meet." Raine kindly asked as she and Zekiel followed on a human made walkway with water suits and breathing mask/ air tanks on. While a large squid like creature with pale skin, five sets of blacks eyes on each side and was as big a skyscraper saw next to them "Also I apologize that I and my family haven't visited as much lately. We've just been busy lately with politics and such."
"It is of no consequence queen Raine, our elders are busier than usual as well. But that maybe because of our final products." Isilvan explained with a calm tone
"Indeed, after how many years you finally have made enough to be used as a proper workforce as you called it." Raine remarked with a smile as Isilvan chuckled a little, which echoed a bit since he was much larger then Raine and the still silent Zekiel just listened
"Yes. It took longer then I'd like to admit. But once you see our end product I'm sure you'll agree." Isilvan replied back kindly as Raine nodded in agreement, then he turned his attention to the still silent Zekiel "So boy, how have you been lately. It's been a year or two since I last saw you. Though your mother has a bad tendency to not visit old friend's often."
"Oh shush you." Raine responded back in amusement as she looked to her son "Still he's been doing fine. Just finishing up his training with me and being a… well meaning prince to our citizens. Correct my son?"
"Yeah… just a well 'behaved' citizen. Just like my mother stated." Zekiel replied back, though it seemed forced as he and Raine stared at one another; before she turned her attention back ahead
"I see…" Isilvan said as he could see they were getting close to the main area where their project had been held in. Mainly because of the rock like door up ahead, while the walk way that Raine and Zekiel walked on had a large rock formation covering most of it, aside from a small metal door connect to the walkway itself. Isilvan seeing they were getting close to the project, alongside the fact he could feel the uneasy tension between the queen and her son; decided to shift their focus back to the project "Anyways, we are here my lady and young prince."
"Why thank you Isilvan. But if you don't mind, can you let me have a word with my son?" Raine kindly asked as Zekiel from behind her rolled his eyes in slight irritation
"Of course queen Raine. We have time, so take as long as you need." Isilvan responded, before the two stone walls opened for him, then closed as he went through them. Once close Raine looked back at her son, crossing her arms and giving her a stern look
"What?" Zekiel asked as he seemed slightly more irritated then before
"Do you remember what I said about behaving. Along with minding your tone young man?" Raine asked sternly as she hated, very much hated to have to scold her son as they both had a great mother/son relationship with each other and didn't want to strain it
"Yeah I do alright, what am I not allowed to talk the way I want anymore?" Zekiel asked irritably as her narrowed his eyes "Anything else you'd like to bitch at me about mother?"
"Hey what did me and your mom say about swearing!" Raine yelled slightly
"Oh will you just back off already. I have enough stress being a prince I don't need you and mom to keep pestering me about how I behave. Just mind your own business. No wait you can't ever since the quack doctors recommended you both keep an eye one me because of my, quote on quote 'Disturbing altruistic tendencies'." Zekiel bitterly explained as Raine sighed, hating that he was using that against her
"Because you do, I hate to say it but you do. It's so you stay safe and don't try anything that could harm you. Why don't you get that?" Raine asked as she wished her son could see what she was trying to say, but if anything blood or not he really was like her in many ways. The most troubling was of course the altruism which for Raine herself had been able to temper down now, but the other being that she was a very stubborn woman when she wanted to be. Turns out that her son was like that too, making arguments hard to win for either of them
"Because you're the one who kept on telling me during every session of my training 'The greater good of all is what everyone should inspire to do. Everyone deserves to be happy and safe no matter what. So do what you have to do to make sure that happens.'. That's what you told me or was that just some bullshit lie?" Zekiel argued as Raine bit her lip
"Zekiel you know that I meant everything in that sentence to you, you know that for a fact. But that way you want to do it, it's not very effective and it will probably make more people scared of you then anything." Raine explained with a soft, but also somewhat stern tone as she touched he son's left side of his face with her hand "You're my baby boy, my child. Why would you think I'd ever lie to you. Why would doubt that me and your mom have the best interest for you?"
"I… well… it's just feels like it is…" Zekiel replied as he looked to the side, as he was feeling bad for yelling at his mother like this "It just does…"
"Son…" Raine stated with a stuttering tone as Zekiel looked to see his mom was tearing up a bit
-"Ah, that hurts to look at. Nice one jerk."- Zekiel thought to himself as he hated seeing his mom like this
"Son…please can we just enjoy today. It's been awhile since…since I could spend time with you my little boy. So please, please can we not fight?" Raine asked as she trying her best not to cry, she could see it was hurting her son to see her like this; but her worries and love for her son's were very strong which made it hard not to cry
"I… okay. Okay, lets have a good time. Love you mother." Zekiel responded back with a small smile as he gave his mother a hug and kiss on the cheek before making his way into the project room also. Once the doors closed behind him, Raine wiped her tears away and leaned against the railing of the walkway to clear her head a bit before going into the project zone
Raine knew she wasn't much of a crying woman. She was strong willed, optimistic beyond belief and always saw the good in everyone along with everything. But lately, mostly in this last year Zekiel had been more aggressive. Eric, Amber and Draco were actually improving on their personalities. Eric becoming much more social in the last three years, along with getting a rumored girlfriend. Draco becoming a lot more optimistic and Amber was now considered one of the most popular, along with one of the humblest individuals in their nation. Zekiel though…he, well he seemed to become more distant from others. He wasn't spending much time with anyone in the family like he use to which had a lot. Her own mom had asked if anything was going on with her grandson and she said at the time no, because Raine thought Zekiel was going through a phase or something. But as of lately that was starting to become less likely, it was like he was becoming someone else from the adorable baby boy she and her wife had adopted years ago.
But she had faith in her son; a lot of faith he would turn out to be a good person. Then again maybe his altruist attitude wasn't being tamed also because of the slowly growing issues in their utopia. Like the issues where the citizens. The younger ones to be exact now had unofficially made a sort of class system for themselves. Not as cruel or brutal as the ones during Lady Alma's reign, but cruel enough. They also had a growing issues of illegal arms trades and drug dealings that they had their Guardian bots take care of. Though with only a few casualties that were sadly unavoidable. Still her wife Willow had made a slight theory that their son's altruistic behavior was becoming more active because of that. When Raine talked to her other darling son Eric about Zekiel since the two hung out a lot. Eric had told her that his brother had made some comments on wanting to change their nation to something better; something even better then what she, her sisters and wife's had made. A world where everyone will be truly happy, a world where no one will ever have thoughts of doing bad and a world that was truly perfect. Raine after hearing this had told only her wife of it, who was in all rights worried even more for one of her sons well beings. Willow had asked Raine to speak to their son about this, which Raine herself hadn't done yet. Not because she didn't want to, but mostly because she hadn't yet found the right time. Still she decided to let it be for now and go into the project zone. Since she had a feeling the others were waiting for her. Once she made her way inside the area, she saw it finally. The end result of the years of work that their allies the Leviathans had taken to make what she saw in front of her.
"Impressive isn't it queen Raine?" Isilvan asked with a amused tone seeing that queens face of utter awe, though he noticed that the prince just stared at the project with an… odd interest. Still he didn't pay mind as he looked at the project his kind had worked so hard on
The project itself was robotic versions of themselves, the size, biology of them were all perfect imitations. Aside from the blue glow under the robots along with glowing blue eyes and finally the black metal plating. If Isilvan was personally honest the robots themselves only took about a day to make each. But it took so many years to make the best described army in front of them as dozen upon dozen of their robots had been made, lined up in row's after rows set off in a stand by mode. He was proud of this work, proud that these dubbed 'Worker drones' would be set out one day to help their race with even more advancements from them along with helping out their well respected allies.
"It is, really it is. This can help so many live in the future!" Raine joyfully stated with a gleeful smile as she looked to her son who much to her joy saw him once again smiling. Not fake smiling or partially smiling. But she saw one of her beloved sons finally smiling for real again. Like he use to before becoming more distant from them "Zekiel don't you agree. This has got to be one of the most amazing things you'd ever have seen right?"
"Yes…." Zekiel stated as his eyes gleamed seeing the robots in his sights, his heart pumped with hope once more, he smiled so widely because he seemed to be like a child who found a treasure beyond any other. But as he smiled at the robots, he slightly narrowed his eyes as his smile went to a smirk "Yes mother, yes it is indeed… amazing."
-Five weeks later-
(I didn't know then… I didn't know then… I should have known…
I think I'll take over for my wife Raine here, anyways five weeks passed for us, everything was seeming much better. Zekiel was happier than ever. Though he had begun to wear a hood over his head a lot, along with not spending as much time with us still. I remember I and the rest tried to get him to put the hood down. But he just explained that he accidently trimmed some of his hair off with his razor when he tried shaving earlier in the morning of the week and that it was somewhat embarrassing. It was a most plausible explanation as between our two sons, Zekiel was more of the clumsy one at times. Also he seemed busy those five weeks so we really didn't question him not spending as much time with us as we'd have liked. Still during that time I had lost an important book that was well… Lady Alma's forbidden spell book. I never read it since I didn't want to know even more on how horrid that woman was. Still I remember that it was in the morning after breakfast. I, Raine, Yoana, Willow and our kids all were resting around the living room. Amber and Eric's pets were resting in their rooms like usual. We were just talking, laughing and for once in a long while having a good time. Our aunties were coming over soon, but for now we just enjoyed the time together. But…. I just wish we all knew then… I really wish we all knew then.)
"Man what a breakfast, didn't know you could cook so well Amber." Draco stated happily to his sister, who herself had finished her portion of the breakfast she made. Both of them sitting on one couch in between their mothers with Yoana on the left next to Amber and Blair sitting on the right next to Draco. Amber just smiled as she gently (Not really) smacked Draco upside his head "Hey what was that for, I give you compliment and you still hit me?"
'"Yep." Amber amusing answered as Blair and Yoana looked to one another, snickering a bit at how cute they still found their kids when they teased one another
"You know I don't think those two will ever change really. Even when they're old folks they'll still be doing that with each other." Eric remarked as he sat to the right of the couch he sat on, while Willow sat next to him, while Raine sat on the left sound of their couch
"That me and you're mom already guess Eric." Willow replied in amusement as she then heard a buzzing in her son's left pocket, then saw him take out his phone; reading what she guessed was a text as he smiled before reply. Willow couldn't help but smile a little "Hm, a text from that waitress again you meet a few years ago?"
"Oh her again, hm is our little Eric here getting serious?" Raine teased as she gave her son a coy smirk, along with Willow now making Eric get somewhat flustered at his mother's teasing
"It's nothing like that. We've just had a long standing friendship is all okay?" Eric responded back defensively, though still blushing a bit as the others seemed to take notice and amusement from the situation now
"Ah come on Eric you're totally getting it on with that chick." Draco remarked with a toothy smirk
"Yeah it's so cute too, oh I can already hear the wedding bells!" Amber added in, acting like a doting; teasing mother somewhat
"Oh Eric can me and you're auntie Yoana be brides maids. You can ask your little girlfriend if that's okay right?" Blair teased even more as she always found her darling nephew Eric even more adorable when he was flustered
"Eric- bo- beric I just remembered too. But once you tied the knot you're gonna have to learn how to make you're woman happy. Trust me I know." Yoana remarked as she gave her nephew a smirk "Hm you know if you want I could write down some notes for you. I'm sure by this point you're mom's have talk to you about how babies are really made. So guess it's up to me to give you useful advice on how to keep a woman happy."
"AH THIS IS GETTING WAY TO WEIRD NOW. WILL THIS EVER END?" Eric asked as he was praying, hoping something else would occur so he could escape the teasing his family was dishing out on him. But it seemed his prayers were answered as the sudden sounds of the throne room doors opened as it echoed. The group noticed this as they all knew no one should be in their at the moment
"Sweetie, didn't we lock the throne room?" Willow asked worriedly
"Yeah… yeah we did." Raine answered as she, Willow, Yoana and Blair looked to one another before suddenly booking it to the throne room. Draco, Eric and Amber looked to one another; before quickly following
Once inside the throne room, the kids and girls all saw that the intruder was Zekiel. They saw that he was just standing in the throne room, looking at the four thrones. It didn't make it any less odd when no sound could be heard other then the eerie void of absolute silence. The kids looked to one another, then their mothers who looked back at them; none of them having any idea on what was going on. Willow, Blair and Yoana then looked to Raine, who just gave them a silent nod asking them to stay back along with making sure the rest of the kids stayed back as well. Willow gave her wife a quick kiss on the lips while Blair and Yoana nodded. They then moved near their kids, making sure to keep them in place, just incase for some odd reason this got violent. Raine smiled, then turned her attention back to her other son as she began walking slowly up to him before stopping a foot away from him.
"Zekiel, sweetie. Are you okay?" Raine asked as she was now becoming even more worried about her son, she had thought he'd gotten better but seeing him acting like this was starting to make that hopeful thought crumble "Zekiel?"
"You know I finally get it." Zekiel answered as he kept his back turned to them
"Get what buddy?" Raine asked back as she was feeling uneasy at how calm her son sounded
"I get what you meant about the whole altruism thing, you all told me that it wasn't bad to want to help people. But to do it without hurting yourself." Zekiel answered as Raine smiled just a little
"That's good to hear, really it is son." Raine replied with a kind tone as she was hoping this was just some strange way of her son saying they were right when it came to tempering his altruistic tendencies
"Still…" Zekiel remarked with a sigh
"Still what, what's going on with you. What's on your mind, you know can talk to any of us. Right?" Raine stated as she was becoming yet again worried about her son, she could tell easily the others were concern too "Right?"
"Yeah…still after so much time in this world. Seeing the slow but still visible corruption in our utopia. I've learned that my way of things isn't as effective as I believed. No…. no I think I have to do more. Much more." Zekiel remarked as Raine felt disturbed by his words "Don't worry, you all will be unharmed. The others though…. well I can do much to make it all perfect once they're out of the way. Hehe."
"Alright that is enough young man!" Willow suddenly yelled as she quickly moved passed the Raine and quickly then grabbed her son's shoulder with her right hand "You cease this moronic talking, go to your room, then me and your mother will talk about your punishment is that understood!"
"You know mom, I love you dearly. But I have to say no." Zekiel replied back as he turned around, taking down his hood quickly. Though as he faced his family, Willow moved back in shock and horror covering her mouth from the sight. The others didn't fare well as they suddenly saw why Zekiel had his hood on for almost four whole weeks
"Oh my…w-what did you do to yourself hunny?" Willow asked in utter saddens, while Raine just looked like she was about to pass out. Eric, Amber and Draco were silent in utter shock. Yoana and Blair themselves were stunned, not believing the sight that was their nephew Zekiel
"What's the matter. Don't I look swell?" Zekiel asked with a slight smirk, though that didn't help with his new look. As his eyes were a hellish orange, his hair gray beyond what a young man his age should have and finally his skin was a pale ghoulish grey as his skin also had black veins showing through his skin "Hm well I guess the spell I used in grandmother Alma's spell book does have side effect. But they're worth it."
"Y-You stole it, from me your own mother. How could you?" Willow asked angrily, though tears were threatening to come out as Raine tried her best to comfort her wife though was also very upset with her son as well
"Seriously what the fuck is wrong with you?" Eric angrily asked moving up next to her mothers
"Eric please don't fight with your brother." Raine pleaded as she didn't want either of her baby boys to fight
"Screw that, bro here is acting like a class A jackass!" Eric argued back as he glared at his brother. Draco, Amber, Yoana and Blair still kept silent as they moved up next to Willows side
"Hm… either way, despite what you maybe be feeling or think of me right now. I'm going to make sure that this world and every other one out there becomes my perfect vision. You all just need to stay here and you'll be safe. Anyways I have to go now, my plan is ready to commence." Zekiel explained as his whole body began to glow a hellish orange as well, everyone else was stunned but Raine knew what she had to do as much as she hated to do it
"No you won't son!" Raine screamed as she lunged at Zekiel with a small dagger ready to strike him down as she activated her semblance. But as her semblance did active and she passed by the others, then straight towards Zekiel with the intent to deal a quick kill. Inches before she was going to impale the dagger into his heart, she looked only to see her baby boy. The smiling image of the one of the two boys she and her wife had adopted. A child that she had trained, loved as much as a mother could, tended to his wounds, argued with to keep him safe and did everything in her power to create a better world for. She could only see Zekiel as that and she froze for a moment as her semblance halted with her an inch away from her son. Zekiel just smiled, kicking her in the stomach and pushing her back as his body glowed even brighter
"ZEKIEL!" Raine, Willow, Eric, Yoana, Blair, Draco and Amber screamed
"See you soon." Zekiel simply said with a small smile before his body fully disappeared and all that was left was a burn mark on where he stood
"I…what….what…" Yoana tried saying as the whole scene that just had happened was so quick and so sudden, that none of them could fully comprehend it. Blair just was muttering something about her trying more to help lessen her nephews altruistic tendencies. Draco and Amber we're themselves just trying to clam down Blair as they could see this was effecting her badly. The Yoana looked back to see Willow and Eric move over to Raine who was couched down on the floor tearing up as the two tried comforting her
"I couldn't do it….I couldn't do it…. I couldn't kill one of my babies… I just….I didn't know… should have seen it… I should have saved him before he… I just didn't know." Raine said through her tears as Eric and Willow did all they could to sooth her. Willow would have cried but she had to be the stronger one. Eric didn't have a need to cry, as he saw his mothers distress of a more pressing manner, then his own personal sadness. As they all just were grieving in their own way, Yoana stood in the middle of it seeing how just this act of betray by a child they all loved as family had hurt them, she sighed as this betrayal of family was tearing at her own heart badly too
"What's going to happen now…." Yoana muttered as she was worried for whatever the future was now going to happen, but what she and the others didn't know was that Zekiel's attempt at a new perfect future was coming sooner then any of them would have cared for
-Meanwhile on the Leviathan home world-
Isilvan was looking over the first row of their labor force drones, making sure that these first ones were spic and span when they were to be inspected by the elders. He was proud of his peoples work, it had taken years and many resources to create this work force. Though the help of their other smaller allies, with their contribution did also help speed up the process. He had to find a way to thank the queens, since they were the ones who contributed the most to their work force's manufacture with the resources they happily gave. At first he saw this as somewhat naive and thought there had to be a catch. But after years of spending time with the queens along with being the quickly appointed speaker for their race since he had already been in contact with the queens. He had learned they were very genuinely kindly hearted women and had become good friends with them. He had to admit though when he heard they had adopted four kids out of the blue, he wondered if they were ready for parenthood. But it turned out yes they were and he had spent time with those kids as well, seeing the kids learn so much from the queens. But after the years had passed, Zekiel was the one who showed well to put it bluntly; troubling signs of a possible psychopath. He cared for kid as much as he care for the other kids which was a lot. But Zekiel was worrying him and he could tell from the last visit four weeks ago that it making Raine a worried wreck for her son's mental health. Still he decided to stay out of it, seeing it as a family issues but hoped for the best. Though while he kept pondering over this and other matters. As he passed on of the units, he swore it slightly fidgeted.
"What in the world. No, neverminded must be just my imagination I have to get more sl-" Isilvan amusingly said, but was cut off a the last few letters as suddenly the unit's eyes glowed a hellish orange and grabbed him by the arms with it's own arms "W-What the in the nine sea's is going on. I order you to release me unit!"
"I apologize but I will not be following that order." The unit suddenly spoke in a synthesized emotionless tone, shocking Isilvan
"W-What, but h-" Isilvan started to ask, but was cut off yet again as the unit let him go; only for many of the other inactive units to grab him suddenly. Which then proceeded to him screaming in silent agony as his limb's, flesh and bones were ripped, torn and broken within a matter of seconds while his blood began to fill a portion of the area. The unit itself moved ahead the rest and sighed
"I am sorry old friend, but you and your race must go as well. They will no doubt be a nuisance if we do not eradicated your kind first. For I made a promise to myself, a promise that I would cleanse my world, worlds….no this galaxy of all of its impurities. I will make my utopia and once I do I will spread it throughout this galaxy. For any new races I shall find, I will make them obey or perish they shall for the greater good calls for it. The good of all calls for it and on my honor as Zek-…." The unit began to say, but as he pondered on it. He realized he was not Zekiel anymore. The spell he had found in his grandmother Alma's forbidden spell book was one that would kill the mortal body and make the soul of that induvial a sort of demi god like being. He had to sacrifice a few dozen criminals to do so as the spell required a few dozen blood sacrifices. Even if he hated criminals with all his heart, he didn't like doing the blood sacrifices. But as he mother always told him 'The greater good of all is what everyone should inspire to do. Everyone deserves to be happy and safe no matter what. So do what you have to do to make sure that happens.'. So he knew he'd have to do it, if only to make sure the possibility of a greater good would survive. He sighed once more as he decided on his new name, one that his grandmother had planned on naming herself after doing this spell if she had survived "No that is not my name now…"
Suddenly the other dozens, upon thousands of the units straightened themselves out, moving their bodies slowly as if they were gaining a conscious or connection. All the while Zekiel internally smirked, as he could feel the sudden same connection spark.
"No on my honor as the savior of this galaxy, the protector, the guardian." The unit spoke as the other millions of units eyes suddenly glowed the same hellish orange "I am…"
"Happy birthday buddy, oh me and you're mother are so proud of you!" A happy memory of his mother's echoed on his first birthday with them
"I am….."
"We're the three musketeers pulse one girl." Yet another happy memory played out from his great childhood after being adopted
"I am…."
"Thanks Eric, you the best brother I could ask for." A third happy memory echoed of his dearly loved brother Eric as he knew his brother always had his back
"I am…"
"Who the best cousin ever, you two are Amber and Draco!" Yet again another happy memory echoed even louder of his cousin that he loved as much as he loved his brother. Cousin who no matter what happened between them, would always be by his side
"I am.."
"Aw how did we get so lucky to have adorable nephews like you and your brother. Yoana and me can't stop treating you like adorable babies. Just remember your aunties always will love you two no matter what." Another of the happy memories screamed in his mind, memories and good times he spend with his amazing caring aunts
"I am."
"I love this family so much, I never could have asked for a more amazing one." The last memory roared within his mind, his feelings and his utter love the family he grew up the rest of his life with. The family who always understood, the family who loved him no matter what he did or said, the family he knew were heartbroken right now
"I am Sovereign." Sovereign said with a newfound confidence as the memories suddenly stopped. He knew what his plans were, knew what he needed to do and no one would stand in his way. His perfect world would become a reality one way or another
-Present time-
"There you have it, the start of our downfall. We only learned what he became after he attacked our world." Willow finished explaining as Yoana nodded and Blair was doing her best to help Raine feel better as the woman had been crying during this current retelling
"So…you're saying that the reaper or one of the reapers at least the one we're facing is. Somehow part of…well…" Yang asked, but really could not figure out the words to ask the question
"I think what my girlfriend is trying to ask is, well Zekiel our nephew from back when we were you is the reasons you all died out…the…" Blake explained, but also couldn't say the words as she looked to see Weiss horror stricken face along with Ruby's horror stricken face as they held onto one another's hands as a sort of comfort
"We are little me I know it's hard to take in but its true." Blair answered as she moved next to Willow and her wife, helping hold up Raine who seemed to be calming down
"All of it and as much as I wish it wasn't, there you have it." Yoana stated with a depressed sigh as that day was all too fresh in her mind still
"That's, that's an underestimate." Weiss remarked with a slight chuckle of uneasiness from the information she had just learned "Our child, still alive child is…oh god…"
"He's the reason the reapers even exist, the reason so many civilizations before us most likely died. Your…. one of our kids became the death of galactic civilization." Ruby explained with a shutter at the truth, before she look up to them at with a determined; but also unnerved look "What happened next, when Zekiel attacked?"
"So much death…so much destruction. You will finally hear about the last days in our utopia of a world." Raine explained as she took a deep breath before finally deciding that it was now time to finish this tale of theirs, she just hoped the girls would be able to stomach this final part…
Alright so now you made it to the end of the chapter, first off thank you for taking you time to read this chapter. I truly appreciate it, anyways time for explanations on why I decided to make the next chapter the last one instead of this chapter.
When I was writing this chapter out I had it planned and such, but after writing the well final part of the chapter you all have read since you're on the ends note's now. But after writing that little reveal, I read it over and I was like 'Crap…. I have to stop it on this. It's the best sort of way to end the chapter after that reveal'. So yeah the next chapter is and will be the final part of the origins for the girls well past lives. I can't wait for you all to read it once it's up. Anyways I'll be off now and until the next chapter I wish for every last one of you great people to have the most wonderful happy day's ahead of you! : )
