Chapter 39: The Group Splits up, The Real Purpose

Two Days Later in Akatsuki Hideout

Exactly two-days later, around the evening. Vegeta was just laying in his bed, resting and watching the ceiling. He looked outside and saw the sun going down. That was the moment He stood up from his bed and walked out.

The Saiyan Prince first went to Itachi's room and knocked one time with his index finger and two times with his middle finger. Itachi heard the specific knock and knew it was the Prince behind his door.

Next up, Vegeta went to Sasuke's room, as he did the same knock as he did on Itachi's door. Sasuke recognized the knocking sign and walked out of his room unnoticed.

In a safe and dark place, Vegeta, Sasuke and Itachi met each other and were in a meeting's triangle, discussing on how they were going to get the clothes back from Kabuto.

"Alright listen up, Kabuto has the clothes, and we need to steal them back. That is all to it." Vegeta said.

"Agreed. Who was in that casket if I may ask? You found the secret." Itachi asked.

"We don't know, we only gave him the clothes, that was it. There is no one we know who has those clothes." Sasuke said.

"I see..." Itachi mumbles.

"Alright, I got a plan." Sasuke said but Vegeta interrupted him immediately.

"Sorry kid, grown ups first, I got a plan." Vegeta said.

Sasuke only looks menacing at Vegeta and heard him out.

"Sasuke goes into Kabuto's room and steals the clothes back, simple and easy." Vegeta said.

"And why me, my plan is better than your simple one. And you say you are a tactical genius." Sasuke said.

"Didn't you say that I can't even enter a city without making myself known, next time, think about what you are saying, it might hunt you this long." Vegeta said.

Sasuke grunted as he looked at Itachi. "Itachi, do you have a plan?" Sasuke asked.

"Hmm... No, actually, Vegeta is right, this is just a simple repossession mission, we need to think simple to achieve to complete this mission. Sasuke, you go get the clothes, Vegeta and I will cover you." he explains.

"Cover me for what?" Sasuke asked.

"Don't forget, we are talking about Kabuto, he must know someone is on to the clothes and the reincarnation of that person to steal them. He might set a trap for the intruders." Itachi explains.

"You're right." Sasuke said.

"Alright, let's go." Vegeta said as the three went silently to Kabuto's room.

Later In The Evening At The Hideout

Moments later, Vegeta, Sasuke and Itachi gathered at Kabuto's door. Vegeta opened the door on a crack size and looks around to see if he was inside his room. He only saw an empty room whatsoever, no life to be found. Vegeta looked at Sasuke and gave him the sign that the coast was clear, and he was good to go.

Sasuke nods and silently opened the door. But Itachi held his shoulder.

"Remember, we will cover you, make sure there are no traps." Itachi said.

"I will." Sasuke said when he continued walking.

He looked around he room. The young Uchiha saw in front of him a desk with tubes, and several experimental scalpels. Sasuke was disgussed at it, knowing Kabuto's hobbies were.

He looked at the right side of the room and saw a brown closet. He thought that the clothes might be in there. He opened the closet by throwing two ninja stars as the door opened up. However, the closet showed nothing inside and it was empty.

Sasuke looked to the other side.

"Why would Kabuto have a closet, with no clothes in it, he's creepier than I thought now that he has Orochimarus' cells inside of him." Sasuke said when he kept looking.

He looked at Kabuto's bed and saw the clothes just laying there on the bed.

"There they are." Sasuke said.

But he just stood still and stared at the clothes, Vegeta questioned him.

"Why are you just standing there like a rock, get the clothes now!" Vegeta sounded.

"Ease up hot head, it's suspicius that the clothes are just laying there on the bed, this is a trap." Sasuke said.

"He's right, get rid of the trap first Sasuke." Itachi said.

"Oh for the love of God! They are right there, if you are not going to get them, then I will!" Vegeta said impatient when he walked into the room and passed Sasuke.

"Vegeta, don't, you will set the trap off." Itachi warned, but the Prince didn't listen to him

He pushed Sasuke aside and grabbed the clothes from the bed.

"See, it's that easy instead of just staring at it, looks like I should have just done it myself instead of letting you deal with it. Now to get rid of them." Vegeta said.

Suddenly, the clothes were starting to move, and turned into several small white snakes. Vegeta dropped the snakes as the reptiles were out to bite the Saiyan Prince.

"Dargh! Disgusting little... dargh!" Vegeta shouted as he jumped away and shot the poisonous snakes dead before they made more contact with him.

"What the heck was that." Vegeta said.

"The trap you idiot, I told you tat we had to get rid of it first." Sasuke said.

Then, they heard a noise from the darkest corner of the room.

"Well well, I should have known you three would steal the clothes, didn't know it was this soon. Madara does have the habit of attracting people who will betray him later on." Kabuto said sinister.

"Kabuto." Sasuke said.

"Sasuke, looks like you were never brainwashed, neither were Vegeta and Itachi. But I see that you are out to the clothes?" Kabuto asked when he straights his glasses.

"Enough talking you reptilian mutant, give us the clothes or die by my hands, your choice." Vegeta said.

"So you are the one making the demands, well that is fine, here are the real clothes if you want." Kabuto said.

"Give me them!" Vegeta said when he reached to them.

But Kabuto quickly jumped to the other side of the room, avoiding the Saiyan's ambush.

"If you want them, come and get me first. Hahahaha!" Kabuto said when he jumped out of the window.

"I hate this cat and mouse game. Itachi, Sasuke, we have to get him! I'll use the sky, you use the ground." Vegeta said.

"Yes, whatever you do, don't lose sight of him Vegeta, no matter what!" Itachi said.

Vegeta jumped out of the window and used his ki to fly after Kabuto. Sasuke and Itachi jumped out of the window also and followed the Snake Sage on the ground. Thus began the chase after Kabuto to stop the reincarnation of the unknown man.

Gate of Konoha

In Konoha, the Kage were waiting for their partners at the gate. The Mizukage left earlier to prepare, that only left the Raikage, Tsuchikage and Kazekage. The Raikage in general was nervous on them finally arriving and waited with his arms folded while tapping his index finger on his arm.

"Where are they, it's getting late and we need to get the move on." Ay asked.

"They will be here, maybe they are saying goodbye to their friends, they are splitting up you know?" Tsunade said.

"Perhaps." the Raikage said.

Meanwhile, first at Gohan's home, Gohan was packing his stuff, as Videl was watching him.

"Take good care of yourself, and watch out for anything. Eat a lot, well not 'Goku' lot but just don't pig yourself out. Dress warm and..." Videl said worried as Gohan interrupted her.

"I will, you don't need to worry Videl." Gohan said.

Gohan puts his casual clothes on and puts his orange fighting attire in his bag, saving it for later of course. Thus, packing the last thing before he left.

"So, that was the last thing, I got everything I need on this business trip." Gohan said.

Videl approached her husband as Gohan looked at her back.

"I love you Videl, and I'm going to miss you." Gohan said.

"I love you two Gohan, and good luck." Videl said when she hugged him.

When they were done, Videl let go off him.

"Oh, and one more thing..." Videl said nicely when suddenly, she grabbed Gohan's shirt and pulled him towards her. "If I hear from Goku that you died again, you better hope I never use the Dragon balls to bring you back, got it!" Videl said threatening.

Gohan was stunned, not knowing what to say, as the only thing he could do was nod 'yes' and walk to the door from fear.

"Wow, now I know what dad has dealt with all these years. Women are scary." Gohan said at the door.

He opened the door and gave Videl one last goodbye wave, she waved back and closed the door.

At Krillin and Eighteen's house, he and Seventeen were already done packing their stuff. Krillin still had doubt about joining.

"So, you guys think this will go well for me?" Krillin asked scared.

"Are you still on about that? You sure are a scared little guy." Seventeen said.

"This is war, anything can happen, like you guys know, I have a hard time... you know... staying alive." Krillin said with his hands together.

"Krillin, you got Goku, Gohan and even my brother who can back you up, so stop worrying already, it's getting annoying. It is nice to get in action after all these years." Eighteen said to him.

"Hey, where is Marron?" Krillin asked.

"She is sleeping in the next room, I don't want to wake her up." Eighteen said.

"Oh, I get it." Krillin said uncertain.

He then felt a hand on his shoulder.

"Listen man, like I said at the meeting, you got friends who back you up, when we see Freeza, he will get a taste of our Destructo Disk combination." Seventeen said confidant.

"Well just so you know, Freeza also knows an attacks similar to my disk, but his disk follow you until you are sliced in half." Krillin said.

"Does it look like I am scared? Come on, we are in this together, and I don't want to see you run away or standing still like you did at the freeway 13 years ago, I want to see you fight this time." Seventeen said.

Eighteen started to smile at what her sibling just told her husband. She then approached Seventeen.

"I am proud of you Seventeen, I never knew there would be a day that you would coöperate with someone, and even with my husband. I remember the old days when we were just delinquents who loved to prank other people and cause trouble. Before Gero turned us into machine mutants." Eighteen explained.

"Yeah, glad he is dead, I never liked these enhancements, but it is pretty useful. I just have to live with it." Seventeen said.

"Make sure you take care of Krillin for me." Eighteen said.

"Come on Eighteen, now you are making me even more nervous." Krillin said stressed out.

"Hahaha, he's going to be alright." Seventeen said when he puts his hand on Krillin's head.

"It is time to go meet with Ohnoki." Krillin said to Seventeen.

"Great, let's go." Seventeen said.

Suddenly, they all heard a knock on the door.

"Huh? Who could it be at this time?" Krillin asked when he walked over to the door.

He opened the door and suddenly, he got pulled outside and hugged greatly like a baby.

"Krillin, how is it going! Are you ready to go with us to Iwagakure?" Akatsuchi asked while hugging him.

"Wow! Hey Akatsuchi, didn't expect you here, please put me down, I can't breathe." Krillin said while trying to gasp for air.

"I'm sorry, are you and Seventeen ready?" Akatsuchi asked.

"Yeah, we are ready to go. Uhh... Where is your partner, Kurotsuchi?" Krillin asked.

"Oh, she is with Ohnoki, that reminds me, Seventeen, Kurotsuchi wants to say something before we leave." Akatsuchi said to him.

"What could that be? I hope she calmed down a bit." Seventeen said.

"I don't know, the only thing I know is that she was talking to Ohnoki and then that she was going to talk to you." Akatsuchi said.

"Hm, alright, let's go meet with them then." Seventeen said.

The three left the house and went on their way to the Gate of Konoha. On their way, Krillin saw Gohan walking on his way to. Gohan saw them also and so they went to the Gate all together.

Gate of Konoha

Minutes later, the group saw the gate in sight. They saw the Kage waiting for their arrival. When they finally arrived, the group split up and went to their chosen leaders. The only people who weren't already there were Goten and Trunks.

"Where are those boys? Gohan, where are they?" Ay asked.

"I don't know they should be here by now." Gohan said.

Suddenly, Chichi and Bulma came running with Goten and Trunks in their arms as the kids were eating their food.

"Sorry, sorry we are late. The boys wanted to get something to eat before leaving." Bulma said.

"Just hurry up." Ay said.

"Don't worry mom, I told you they would wait for us." Trunks said.

"And you young man! You are still grounded for those childish pranks you pulled around town. Ay, make sure Trunks teaches his lesson not to mess with people like that. "Bulma said.

"What! Since when did I became a babysitter for these kids!" the Raikage asked.

"Since you accepted Goten and Trunks." Tsunade said smart.

"Quiet Hokage." Ay said.

"Come on mom, why doesn't Goten get any trouble? This is not fair." Trunks said.

"He didn't? I thought Chichi took care of it." Bulma said when she looked at her.

"Please, my Goten knows better than your son, I have to say, like father, like son." Chichi said mother like.

"Oh yeah, well my husband is not as naïve as a sponge, may I remind you, your son was with my son!" Bulma said.

"How dare you, Goten is my son and I decide what to do with him and..." Chichi said.

"Hey!" Tsunade shouted as the two mothers looked at her. "We have lots of things to do, remember, they have to join the Raikage, finish your personal matters another time." she said.

"Fine, now boys, behave yourself or you'll get the beating even your fathers are scared to witness, you got that!" Chichi said loudly.

"That's right, and you two are going to behave yourself in front of the Raikage, we don't want to hear that you cut his hair or set him on fire!" Bulma said.

"What did you just say!" Ay said.

The boys got scared by both their mothers.

"Yes mom, we promise to behave." Goten and Trunks said at the same time.

He boys ran towards the Raikage and hid behind his leg to avoid eye contact with their parents.

"So, are you finally ready to go?" Tsunade asked.

"Not quite princess, just one more thing." Ohnoki sad when Kurotsuchi appeared from behind him.

"Hey, I was wondering where you were." Seventeen said.

"Yeah well I was..." Kuro said as Ohnoki interrupted her.

"Kurotsuchi!" Ohnoki said as she got quiet and looked at her grandfather. "I think, there was something else you wanted to tell our partner, right?" the Tsuchikage said.

"Come one grandpa, you really let me say that to him?" Kuro asked saddened.

"Say it, or I will suspend you as my personal bodyguards. I don't have any problem expelling my family if I have to." Ohnoki threatened.

"Fine fine..." Kuro said when she approached Seventeen until they made eye contact. "Seventeen... I just wanted to say... Sorry for everything I did, at the Summit, in the park, everything." Kuro said to him.

"Was that it?" Seventeen asked when he tightens his ear.

"Yes, that's it!" Kuro said quickly.

"No, go on, you are not done yet." Ohnoki said.

"And... I hope we can be partners in the war, and maybe even friends if it works out, even though my grandpa made me say it and I don't really ment anything of it at all." Kurotsuchi said sneaky.

"You mean that you do mean it, right?" Ohnoki said.

"I mean I do mean it, for real... 100 percent..." Kuro said when she looked at the ground on the left side.

Seventeen grabbed her chin softly and straight her head, making eye contact with her.

"Stop doing that." Kuro said as she looked at him

"I'll stop doing it when you look at me when I am talking to you. Don't think I didn't just heard that Kuro, I'm not deaf. Like I said earlier, I joined to help in the war, not to annoy you. If you want to be my friend, be my guest and join me, Krillin and Akatsuchi, if not, than stop irritating me and forget about me. It's that simple." Seventeen said when he let go of her.

Kurotsuchi sights deeply and sticks her hand out, Seventeen looked at her hand and gave her a handshake back.

"Let's do this... partner..." Kurotsuchi said.

"That wasn't so hard, was it?" Seventeen said.

"Guess so." Kurotsuchi said when she stood behind her grandfather and turned her back.

"Hahaha, that is what I like to see, finally everyone gets along just fine. Tsunade, we are all good to go." Ohnoki said to her.

"Finally." Tsunade said tired out. " Gaara and Gohan, we expect a full report for the given units and strategies we can use in the war, we want to know it in exactly one week." Tsunade said to the leaders.

"Don't worry Tsunade, Gohan and I will let you know when we are done." Gaara said.

"That's right, you can count on us." Gohan said.

"Well my fellow Kage, the time has come, good luck with each other and we hope to hear from you soon." Tsunade said.

The Kage nod at the Hokage and left the city by going through the gate. Then, the journey began for Gohan and the Kazekage Gaara, Goten, Trunks and Ay the Raikage, and Krillin, Seventeen and Ohnoki the Tsuchikage.

The Unknown Forest

Back at the chase, Vegeta had lost sight of Kabuto in the air, while Itachi and Sasuke were on the ground.

"Vegeta, do you still see Kabuto?" Itachi asked.

"No, he disappeared, if only he had my type of energy, finding him wouldn't be as difficult as finding an android." Vegeta said as he went down the ground.

When he landed in the ground, the three stood still on the place.

"So we lost him, way to go Prince." Sasuke said.

"You are blaming me! Who were the galactic slugs on the ground that couldn't keep up with him!" Vegeta shouted.

"We have more important things to do. Kabuto has the clothes of that man Madara wants and it is our job to get rid of it. Remember Bills's plan." Itachi said.

Several days earlier at the Akatsuki Hideout

Bills looked at Itachi and approached him, the Uchiha stood on guard as Sasuke stood next to him. Suddenly, Whis stood behind Itachi and Sasuke and teleported himself and Bills away from the hideout, to the Temple of the Gods.

Itachi looked around the room.

"Where are we?" Itachi asked.

"Look like some type of castle." Sasuke said.

"This is the Temple of the Gods. I have been here before with the Supreme Kai." Vegeta said when he looked above him.

Itachi looked questioned at the Saiyan.

"Temple of... the Gods?" Itachi asked.

"Yes, precisely." Whis said when he walked out of the dark.

"Who are you?" Itachi asked.

"My name is Whis, attendant and martial arts master." Whis introduced while bowing. "You are now in the castle of Bills, the God of Destruction." Whis said.

"Bills?" Sasuke said.

"That's me." Bills said when he came forwards.

"You!" Sasuke said when he grabbed his sword. "I had enough of these jokes, bring us back now!" Sasuke said.

"What will you do with that kitchen knife, you think that will hurt me?" Bills asked.

"We'll find out!" Sasuke said when he ran up to Bills and tried to slice him.

When the sword made contact, Bills was just standing still, looking at the sword on his head. The sword started to crumble and eventually broke into a million pieces.

"What is this!" Sasuke said a she looked at his sword.

Sasuke throws his sword to the ground.

"Are you done?" Bills asked.

"Yes, the boy is done." Vegeta asked.

"Good." Bills said.

"Excuse me, but who are you really?" Itachi asked.

"Well, like Whis already said, I am Bills, the God of Destruction." Bills said again.

Itachi then approached the deity.

"Then... it is an honor to meet you, Lord Bills." Itachi said respectful.

"You actually believe what he says?" Sasuke said.

"I don't know what it is, but there is something about him that makes me believe him. It's some type of godly feeling surrounding these two. I can't explain it." Itachi said.

"Well, you are not getting me that easily." Sasuke said.

"Do you want to see what I am capable off?" Bills asked.

Suddenly, he God got surrounded by his purple aura and pulls his arm out. Then, Vegeta spoke up.

"If you value your life, you'll shut up and be quiet before you kill us all!" Vegeta said.

"Hmph." Sasuke said.

Bills then approached Vegeta first.

"Vegeta, I heard once again that you were having trouble in working together with Madara." Bills said.

"I can't work for people who are that weak." Vegeta said.

"Didn't you listen to what I said? It's only temporary, then I'll take care of it." Bills said.

Bills puts his hand on his forehead.

"Excuse me, Lord Bills, if I may ask, what is your business with Madara Uchiha? What is your role in all of this?" Itachi asked.

"It's simple, I gave Madara those four brainless fools to help in the war to..." Bills said as he got interrupted by Sasuke.

"What! You are the one who gave him those creatures!" Sasuke said angered.

"Shut up Sasuke!" Vegeta shouted.

"Yes, I was for someone to reach a level so high, that he would be the perfect rival for me to fight. Unfortunately, it hasn't worked out so I am waiting until he achieved it. When the fight between me and him is over, I'll take back those fools and kill Madara Uchiha." Bill explained.

"But didn't you think of the people you could have hurt? Sasuke and I met Cell and he was unnaturally strong. They can't be beaten by mere humans like us." Itachi said.

"It's all thought out, they will behave until them, I have kept a close eye on them and if they cross the line, I'll be there to punish them." Bills said.

"It is an unusual plan, but it has a major flaw." Itachi said.

"And that is?" Bills asked.

"Madara in his current state is a reanimation, he is immortal and can't be killed, only sealed away." Itachi explained.

"So that's the case hmhm? You seem like a smart young man, for so far, you have shown respect towards me. Then we'll find another way to defeat him, I'll defeat him, and you will seal him away." Bills said.

"Thank you, Lord Bills. It might work with the right plans." Itachi said.

"You know what, Vegeta, I know something that might benefits all of you. How about you work for me, and work for Madara." Bills said.

"I told you, I will not work with..." Vegeta aid as Bills silenced him.

"No, just listen to me, you will work with Madara, but in reality work for me directly. That way, I don't have to break up your fights with him." Bills said.

"Alright, that might work." Vegeta said.

"This is absolute insane, God of Destruction, Martial arts master of the universe, this is all a sick joke." Sasuke thought.

"Itachi, Sasuke." Bills called out as the siblings looked at him.

"I need you two to work with Vegeta, behind the scenes. Itachi, you say that Madara is planning something that will affect everyone. Then you will be my secret spy. You three have to work together and find out whatever Madara is planning. When you found it, let me know or destroy it. Do whatever you can." Bills said.

"I will Lord Bills, I also got this task from the First Hokage." Itachi said.

"Itachi has become a spy again, not only for Konoha, but from this guy to. What will he become?" Sasuke thought.

"Alright, I will sent you guys back so that you can get to work." Bills said.

"Not quite Lord Bills." Whis said.

"What do you mean?" Bills asked.

"You told Madara that you were going to brainwash them, if they come back unchanged, he will get suspicious." Wish said

"Why do you always have to be right?" Bills asked.

"Because I am never wrong?" Whis said smart and sarcastic.

"Hmm... smarty... Does any of you have an idea to handle this situation?" Bills asked.

"I do." Vegeta said.

"Go on." Bills said.

"Madara wants us back brainwashed, why don't you make use seem like you brainwashed us?" Vegeta said.

"And how?" Bills asked.

"We change our eyes another color, the color that makes him believe we are brainwashed. While we are actually free minded." Itachi said.

"Sounds like an idea, Whis, give these three another eye color, something like yellow." Bills said.

"Yellow? I mean for real, you're the boss... Of course Lord Bills." Whis said.

He tapped his staff on the floor and suddenly, sparkles were surrounding Vegeta, Itachi and Sasuke. Then, their eye color totally change, the Uchiha's cloud still show their Sharingan, but their eyes were the color of brainwashing.

"Perfect. Now you can go out and complete your task." Bills said.

"Sasuke, will you help us out?" Itachi asked.

"Heehhh... this is still insane, but I'll help out my brother." Sasuke said.

"Great, oh and Sasuke, before I forget." Bills said.

Whis points his staff to Sasuke's broken sword and repaired it flawless.

"Here is your sword." Bills said.

Sasuke grabbed the sword from the God's hand and went back to his comrades.

"Now, Whis will sent us back so that you can start your mission. I'll go with you to make sure we actually did it. Let's go back." Bills said.

Whis activated his staff and created another dimensional portal. They all disappeared through it and appeared back into the hide out.

Flashback end.

Itachi, Sasuke and Vegeta thought about several days ago.

"We need to get moving. You know Kabuto better than I do, where could he be?" Vegeta asked.

"We don't know, I first thought he was back in the cave we saw him the last time, but he wouldn't go back where we found him, he knows he's getting followed so he must be into hiding." Itachi said.

"In hiding, exactly what we need, also, we can't go back to the hideout, he must have warned Madara about us, so we need to stay below the radar and find Kabuto quickly." Sasuke said.

"Great, I wonder if Kakarot is having a blast like I am having." Vegeta said sarcastic.

"Let's move on." Itachi said when the three walked away.
