Daphne walked passed the choir room and froze as she walked by. Will was plastering the trophy case with poster. She took a step inside the room. "Did you clean out your house?" She sais as she walked closer. "These are very 90's." She laughed.
Will smiled as he continued putting up the posters. "I know, they're all I had lying around. Everything is better then the damn trophy."
"You're taping them on?"
"Yep."
"That's really easy to remove, you know."
Will shrugged. "Whatever, Sue won this round. She can have it."
"Will, that's not something you would say, ever." She softly touched his arm, regretting it immediately. "Are you okay?"
"She knew, Daphne. She knew you were under my bed, she let it go."
"You don't kn-"
"Yes, I do. She told me as she left, I don't know why she did it, but she did. She could've fired me on the spot."
Daphne shook her head. "I don't-"
Marley came running in. "Daphne we have a situation." Then she noticed Will. "Hey Mr Schue, sorry to interrupt."
"It's fine Marley, we were just done." He glanced at Daphne before grabbing another poster.
Daphne was still looking at Will, actually not done at all. "Uuh Daphne.." Marley said. "Situation?"
"What situation?" Daphne turned her head to look at Marley, slowly grabbing her bag from the floor.
"It's a.. uuh.. Charlotte.. situation.. remember? You gave me an assignment?"
"Oh shit. She's back from her vacation already?" Marley nodded. "Ok, let's go handle it." She walked away but turned around at the door. "See you at glee tomorrow, Mr Schue." Will didn't turn around to look at her but just nodded. Daphne sighed but stepped out into the hallway with Marley. "So, what is it this time?"
"Morrison."
"With?"
"What We Do Best."
Daphne's brow furrowed. "That's not so bad is it?" Marley handed Daphne her phone, the lyrics on it. "Okay.. well it isn't necessarily bad.." Marley grabbed her hand and took her towards the auditorium and shushed her before quietly opening the door, the music was playing and Charlotte was on stage. Daphne watched her practice a routine, there was an empty chair on stage. Presumably that would be filled by Will in the actual act. They walked back outside. "Okay, I take it back." She sighed. "Tell everyone, after school my place. I'll call for pizza."
Marley nodded. "We'll be there."
…
"Ok so everyone know why we're here?" Everyone nodded. "Good. So, how about we let her start the song, and then we take it over completely."
"Sounds good, when are we going to interrupt her?"
"The first verse, it has a sentence. 'I couldn't watch and stare.' Sounds like a good one, unless anyone else had an idea?" Everyone shook their heads. "Okay. So, we interrupt and partner up. One of us sings to Mr Schue at all times, making sure she can't get close. Anyone who feels the slightest bit uncomfortable singing a song like that to Mr Schue? It's okay if you are, it's weird because he's our teacher."
"I'm not." Kitty said.
"Well, it's a little weird as a guy.." Jake said, the other boys nodding.
Marley slowly raised her hand. "I don't.. really.."
"Okay, no problem. So it's me and Kitty then. I'll print the lyrics and we can divide them." Kitty nodded. "Great y'all try to come up with a routine and me and Kitty will learn the lyrics." She put on the song. "Please make it sexy."
She and Kitty went to the computer to print the lyrics so they could highlight them. "How are we going to dance with Mr Schue?" Kitty asked. "Should we do that sexy too?"
Daphne smiled, imagining the look on Will's face. "Yeah."
The rest of the evening they practiced the song and dance routines. Kitty and Daphne borrowed Ryder for a little bit, as a stand in Mr Schue. It was very inappropriate and Daphne inwardly smiled at how she felt it was more inappropriate with her fellow student then with her teacher. "Okay guys, it's a little past nine, I think it's time for everyone to go home. We'll see other in the morning for extra early rehearsel Mr Schue has planned." Everyone groaned, they'd been doing those 3 times a week, they started at 7.
…
"Good afternoon everybody, I'm sorry for this morning I know it's hard work."
"it's fine, can we just get started with the assignments?" Kitty asked.
"Sure, who wants to go first." Only Charlotte raised her hand. Will looked unsure and looked at Daphne, she nodded. "Fine, let's hear it."
Charlotte quickly walked down and struck a pose before the music started. Will had taken her seat, front and centre. Marley whispered to him that they had this covered. "I saw you walkin' up the stairs like it was nothing, passing me by I don't know why but there was something. Blue jeans, white shirt, Jordan sneakers on. Gorgeous eyes, pretty smile baby made me feel so high."
Kitty jumped up and interrupted her. "I couldn't watch and stare I know that it's so sassy." Everyone else got up as well, Ryder took Charlotte's hand and pulled her further to the back. She didn't protest much, too stunned to realize what was going on. "And as my chin hit the ground I thought well maybe," Kitty extended her hand for Will and pulled him up. "We could take a ride, to paradise and waterfalls, where birds and bees all multiply. Brown sugared skin I want it, like a movie scene sedated." She turned him around towards Daphne.
"Come over here and I'll show you, what we do best." She beckoned him over. "Just wait till I can get my hands on you." She grabbed his and walked backwards towards a wall, trapping herself between Will and the wall.
The boys sang background. "Anyway that you want it, anyway that you need it."
"Because after that for sure you won't let go."
"Come on over and get me, any way if you let me."
"Now give it to me hard against my front door." She looked him in his eyes and saw a hunger there.
"Just a little bit harder, and a little bit stronger."
Daphne turned him towards Kitty again, and she continued the song. Daphne glanced over at Charlotte, she was sitting on a piano stool and was looking pretty pissed.
The song finished and Will was speechless, he didn't know what to say. Good job wasn't appropriate, he had two students grinding up against him. "That was uuh interesting guys."
"That was my song!" She walked towards Daphne. "I know you're behind this! You stole my song!"
"We had to Charlotte." Daphne started. "This crush you've got, it's getting way out of hand. I saw you try out the routine in the auditorium, you were giving an empty chair a fucking lapdance."
"Enough!" Will said. "Language Daphne!" He then turned to Charlotte. "But she's right, it's gone on long enough. I was patiently waiting for it to pass but it clearly doesn't. You can either choose more appropriate songs or you can stay out of glee. It's your choice. Are you going to stay or leave?"
"Stay.."
"Okay." He turned back to Daphne. "And I'm assuming you're the mastermind behind all this."
"Well.." Daphne was unsure, he was angry, at her. "I am.. but.."
"Great then you're not welcome for the next week." Everyone was stunned, did Mr Schue just..
"But-"
"Starting now. Leave."
"Mr Schue, I didn't mean to-"
"NOW!" He yelled at Daphne.
Daphne was stunned for a second but turned around to grab her backpack and left. When she closed the door behind her she heard him yell at the rest to get back to their seats. She looked through the windows as she walked further through the hallway, he was very tense.
…
It was the next day at school, Daphne barely slept last night. She didn't know what to do about the Will-situation. He was clearly mad at her, but she didn't really understand why. She was wondering if it was even about the song or something completely different. She wasn't sure if she should go by his office, she wanted to apologize but didn't know if he was still mad. She stopped in front of his office and looked at him, he didn't seem as tense anymore. She took a breath before knocking and going in. "Mr Schue, can we talk?"
"Not now, I'm busy." He didn't even look up from his desk.
She took another step in and closed the door behind her. "Please, Will."
"Didn't you hear me?"
"I want to apologize, I didn't think you'd react this way to the song. We just-"
"Just what Daphne. You just wanted a 16 year old cheerleader to grind up against me? Or was it you that wanted to grind up against me. Do you have any idea how that looks!" He got up. Obviously she should've waited another day, he was still mad. "I'll tell you how it looks, terrible!"
"No.. I just.. we all wanted Charlotte to stop. We could all see it was driving you crazy."
"You're not my girlfriend Daphne."
She looked down. "I know.."
"Do you?"
"What do you mean with that?"
"I had a hard on Daphne, you gave me one during glee practice! I had Kitty dancing very close to me, which is already a little uncomfortable but an erection doesn't make it any better."
"I didn't thin-"
"No you obviously didn't." He opened the door for her. "Please leave."
"Will.."
"Mr Schue." He corrected her. She bit back tears and nodded before leaving. Will slammed his door before sitting back behind his desk. He leaned his elbows on the table and rubbed his hands over his face, what the hell did he just do. He yelled at the one person he loves more then anything. He sighed loudly, he hoped graduation day would come fast, before he didn't have a relationship left. When she left he saw there were tears in her eyes, he wanted to go after her but he knew he couldn't.
…
Will was looking for Daphne, he had been doing so the entire day. He thought he'd run into her but when she clearly had been avoiding him for three days he went to find her. They needed to talk. He saw her at the end of the hallway but when she spotted him she quickly turned around and walked away. Will sighed and decided to send her a text.
'Please meet me in my office, 5 minutes. We need to talk.'
There wasn't any reply but he assumed she read it and headed for his office. He looked at the clock, 5 minutes had long passed. There was a soft knock on the door before It opened. "Daphne, come on in." He smiled relieved. "Please sit down." She sat down but didn't say anything. "Okay, I'm glad you're here." Silence. "I need to apologize, for my behavior the past week." Still nothing. "I'm super stressed and I took it out on you." He waited for her to speak but she didn't say anything. "I'm sorry, I know I wasn't exactly nice to you."
"You yelled at me."
"Yes."
"I may have deserved a stern talking to, in retrospect.. but yelling.."
"I know."
"I'm sorry too. I should've thought a little longer about the whole.. dance.. thing.."
Will laughed. "Yes, ah hell I almost tore off your blouse."
Daphne sighed. "Are we gonna be okay?"
"Yeah, I think we are. Like I said just stressed."
"Anything I can help with?" He shook his head. "If it's something bad, you tell me right?"
"Yes, just get your diploma and everything will be fine."
"Okay." She got up and left. "See you Monday, 7 am."
…
"Everything hurts." Marley groaned as they all changed clothes after their 7 am training on Wednesday. "Daphne, can't you talk to Mr Schue, you always have an in with him."
"Not anymore I don't. I'm the last person you want to talk to Mr Schue right now."
"Still mad because of the Morrison song?" Kitty asked.
Daphne nodded and stretched her legs again. "Seems to be. I just.. I'm threading very carefully."
"He's training us too hard though." Marley continued. "I'm sore in places I didn't even know existed." Daphne laughed. "No seriously, it's not funny."
"Then you go talk to Mr Schue, or get one of the guys to do it."
"No I'd rather be sore.."
