Sims 4 is a lot of fun
Hikaru stretched out, yawning loudly. He froze when he heard movement out in the living area of the apartment. He slowly got off the bed and crept out into the hallway, trying not to make any noise.
"Xavier?" Hikaru questioned when he saw the male in the kitchen, making breakfast.
"Oh, hey. Did I wake you up?" Xavier questioned as he flipped a pancake.
"Uh…no..." He mumbled and walked over to a bar stool, sitting on it. He felt awkward as he watched Xavier make pancakes. The male's hair was back to blond and now shaved on the sides again, like it had been when he first met him years ago. If possible, he had gotten even taller. "How tall are you now?" Hikaru asked randomly.
"Oh, uh, about six foot two now I think. Maybe around six foot three or four." Xavier answer, confused by the strange question. "How tall are you?"
"Five foot eight." Hikaru grumbled, cursing at how much shorter he was.
He was starting to wish he had looked for an apartment, but school had kept him busy the last three weeks. He hadn't even noticed how fast time had flown until he woke up with Xavier in the kitchen. "How long are you going to be home for?"
"A few days. I head back out on Saturday, so, four days." He answered, shrugging as he set a plate of pancakes down in front of Hikaru. He made his own plate and drowned the pancakes in syrup. "Anything else you wanna ask?"
"Why don't you have an actual bed?" Hikaru asked as he ate his food.
"I don't need one. Those things are such a pain to get through my front door and I don't want to have to set it up. Besides, I really ain't home often."
"Oh, yeah, I won't be here much longer. School is just more work than I thought it was and I lost track of time." Hikaru rambled, starting to feel nervous. Xavier was so laid back with him.
"Dude, don't worry about it. I'll be on tour for the next two months. It's nice having someone here to make sure everything is good." Xavier finished his food and put his plate in the sink. "I'm going to do some laundry." He excused himself and headed back to his bedroom, pulling his suitcase with him.
Hikaru finished up his breakfast and loaded all the dishes into the dishwasher. Living on his on for the past three weeks was odd. He was used to having maids everywhere, but he had to do everything himself now.
It was so annoying. He had been eating frozen meals for the past three weeks.
He went into the bedroom to ask Xavier if they could go grocery shopping, because he had to eat actual food, but he found the male asleep on his mattress, still fully clothed. His suitcase was open but it didn't look like he got anything done.
Hikaru rolled his eyes and put a blanket over Xavier, before he grabbed his laptop and book bag and moved to the living room to work on his school work.
"Hey, sleepy head." Hikaru glanced at Xavier as he stumbled into the living room area. His hair was going everywhere and he looked like a zombie.
"Hey." He grunted back, getting himself something to drink from the kitchen.
"Sleep well?" Hikaru closed his textbook, looking at Xavier, who was rubbing his face and drinking down a glass of water.
"It's so much better than sleeping on a tiny bunk." He told Hikaru as he put his glass in the sink. "So, why is the freezer filled with frozen meals?"
"I don't know how to cook. I'm thought about hiring a maid too. This place is a mess." Hikaru replied and began typing on his laptop, trying to finish up a paper.
Xavier was going to say something, but there was banging at the door and then the door opened and Stella walked in. "Good afternoon!" She cheered, looking refreshed. "Oh-oh, hey Hikaru." She looked surprised to see the male there. She glanced at Xavier, asking for an explanation.
"He's going to school here and needed a place to crash." He shrugged and Stella smiled and hurried over to Hikaru.
"It's so lovely to see you again!" She hugged him, even though he was still sitting down. "Keep this place tidy, please. Xavier can't do it himself." She giggled and went back over to the kitchen, sitting on a bar stool. "We are blowing up all over the internet. You know how much fanfiction has been written about us? We're so popular on Tumblr!"
"Don't start." Xavier leaned against the counter as Stella whipped out her phone.
"Look, Zavy, I run the most popular Lost In Translation blog on tumblr, and no one even knows it's me! It's great!" She was so happy about this. "You and Vinny always get fanfiction about you on here. Especially those silly band imagines. Girls are dying to get with you."
"Not interested." He muttered as she snapped a picture of him and posted it to her Instagram and then onto her Tumblr. "Please stop. I'm so tired."
"You should've slept on the plane ride home. Vinny wanted to tag along but I made him stay with Isaac back at Isaac's place."
"Why don't you all live together? Don't bands normally do that?" Hikaru questioned, confused.
"Vinny and I haven't really found places to live around here yet, haven't had the time." Stella said. "And Isaac's place is big enough for all three of us. Xavier could move in, but he likes having his own space away from us."
"They get to be too much for me sometimes." Xavier told him.
"Don't forget, that the interviewer for AP magazine is going to be living with us on the tour bus for the first two weeks so she can write a badass article about us! Plus, plus, plus, we got the tour diaries too!" Stella was shooting off things and Xavier was just listening, nodding his head. Hikaru wasn't sure if Xavier even knew what Stella was talking about.
"Well she can stay with you in your area of the bus. Make sure she doesn't pack too much stuff because I don't wanna be tripping over her shit. That's fine with the tour diaries but when I want the camera off, it needs to be off, okay? I don't want them in my face when I'm tired because I get grouchy. For god's sake, please don't let Vinny bring the 'Journey of the Pole Cat' DVD, please. I don't think I can watch it anymore." Xavier replied, surprising Hikaru. "And make sure to remind me to tell Jackal that I don't want to talk about my father on the talk shows."
"You know they'll bring it up."
"You know I'll deflect it. France was fucking horrible with it. I don't want to have to do it again."
"They won't be that invasive. They just want to know what the songs are about." Stella patted his hand and got up. "Now let's get your clothes washed!"
"I can do it myself." Xavier trailed after her as they walked to his bedroom.
Hikaru started to hear hushed whispers coming from the room. He didn't know what they were about, and while he wanted to know, he knew he'd get caught if he tried to listen in.
It was probably stuff about the band, so he went back to his paper as they continued to talk and do laundry.
"So, what do you do now?" Stella questioned Hikaru a little later after his finished his paper. "Xavier told me your mom was opening a store here. You do the marketing, right?"
"Yeah. I just started school for it though, so it'll be a while before I really start helping with the store." He shrugged as Stella listened to him.
"That's really neat. I hope you stick around here for a while. Xavier needs someone to keep him in line once he gets back from tour." She grinned and was hit with a pair of Xavier's pants. "Owwwwww!" She whined loudly.
"You're fine." He heard Xavier mutter and Hikaru smiled. Sometimes Xavier's voice was so full of emotion, it really hit you, but sometimes it was so monotone and deadpanned it made you laugh.
"Aw, don't be so mean to her, Xavier." He smirked as Xavier poked his head out from around the corner and glared at him. "Wait, are all your jeans black skinny jeans?"
"No. I have a pair of dark denim ones…." He muttered. "I have a pair of red skinnies too."
"Mostly they are black." Stella told them as she tossed the jeans over to Xavier, who caught them and disappeared down the hall again. "Now, let's go do some grocery shopping! There's no food here and you need to eat proper meals, Hikaru."
Stella was making things easy between Xavier and Hikaru. She kept constant flow of conversation and it honestly helped Hikaru a lot.
He got to pick everything out and Xavier didn't really argue much on it. He carried the groceries home with ease and left Hikaru and Stella to put them up in the kitchen and went to finish his laundry.
"Hey, I just want you to know, he's happy you're here." Stella whispered to Hikaru as she piled things into his small pantry. "It's just nice for him to have someone here. I know you probably want your own place, but…..it'd be nice if once this small tour was over, he got to come home to someone here."
"Well….I'll see. College is keeping me busy, so it'd probably be easier for me to stay here for now…" He mumbled and this made Stella happy.
"Thank you, a lot. Really. Sometimes, we're not really enough for him I think. The French part of the tour was really bad on him. He saw his dad and it just didn't go over well. He's still a little shaken up over it." Stella told him. "Hey, do you have a Tumblr? You should follow me! Follow me on Instagram and twitter too, and I'll follow back! Give me your number too, I wanna keep in contact with you." She smiled and took his phone, following her on every social network possible and then she followed him back. "This way you can keep up with us and I can keep up with you!"
"Alright."
"You should follow our VEVO channel too. We're doing tour diaries and I'm sure they'll be funny." Stella continued. "I'd teach ya some recipes, but still, after all these years, I cannot cook. Xavier can, though, so he'll show you some recipes. Right Zavy?"
"Anything you say Stella." He replied with a chuckle. "Hey…wait a second…"
"No, you aren't getting them back. You don't need them."
"Stella. Seriously." Xavier's voice change to one of annoyance. "Where are they?"
"Where's what?" Hikaru questioned, confused.
"Nothing." Xavier told him, shaking his head. "I'm going out."
"Xavier!" Stella exclaimed, blocking his way to the door. "You don't need them."
"Stella, saying 'you don't need them' doesn't help when I feel like I'm dying." He growled and Hikaru watched them, surprised. He had never seen Xavier fight with any of his band mates. "Just tell me where you put them or move."
"They're in my purse." She gave in and he went to her purse on the couch and dug through it.
"Thank you." He mumbled, pulling out a small box. "I still have the pack I got last month. Relax."
"They're bad for you though." She whined and Hikaru was so confused.
"What are you two talking about?" Hikaru asked, now looking at the both of them. Xavier looked embarrassed and didn't look at Hikaru.
"Cigarettes." Stella said. "You didn't know?"
"Know what?" Hikaru questioned, now looking back and forth between the both of them.
"Xavier smokes." Stella told him. "You kept it from him?" She turned to Hikaru.
"Well now he knows. Fuck, Stella, I tried to keep it from all of them." He told her before turning to Hikaru. "I don't smoke every day or shit like that. I only smoke when I'm having panic attacks and shit."
"Does Yuukio know?" Hikaru asked, shocked. "Does anyone know? When did this start?"
"A year or two ago?" Xavier answered, not sure. "Yeah, she knows I stress smoke. She wasn't happy about it, but no one ever is. Alex fucking ripped me a new one when he found out."
"Then why do you do it?" Hikaru asked, angry that he kept it from him. Xavier didn't reply. He just shrugged. "At Tamaki and Kyoya's graduation party, when you went off to 'go to the bathroom', you really went to smoke, didn't you?" Xavier nodded his head, looking like a kicked puppy.
Hikaru looked at him, wondering what happened to make Xavier turn to cigarettes as a form of comfort.
"I go through a pack maybe…every two months. I really don't smoke often, and when I do, I never smoke the whole cigarette." Xavier mumbled, hoping to make it better as he stuck one between his teeth. "But, I gotta go. I told Jack I'd meet up with him and shit." He hurriedly grabbed his coat and left the apartment.
"Oh dear…" Stella mumbled, sighing.
