Disruption of Routine

Part 52 Cleaning up the trash

The Khan family was one of power and influence and it rarely acted without motive or point. They had remained in power along with the Graysons because they had honor and because despite the war they wanted to help preserve humanity. To help it grow and expand and reach the stars.

It was ironic to Amanda that they were considered monsters by humanity. She never considered them that. Hard cold and calculating to be certain but never monsters, they had simply did what was necessary to survive. She knew Sarek would never agree with her thoughts on this then again her mate was a logical Vulcan dedicated to Surak peace. Sadly humanity had a long way to go before they could become as logical and clear thinking as her Vulcan Kin. She was just grateful the alliance held and her son was being protected.

Lady Amanda Grayson listened to the report T'Mara and Daniel had made with dispassion. She was not in the least bit upset with their dealing with that Terra Prime cell nor did she fault them for their actions. It had been sadly necessary. They had offered the cell a chance to surrender to them but they had decided to fight and die for their misbegotten cause. Amanda Grayson had no pity for them. They were the monsters. She read the report on the biological experiments they had been conducting. It sickened her. Like their forefathers they were experimenting on innocents both human and alien and it sickened her. Amanda had read the reports from the first Enterprise and knowing T'Pol personally made that reading harder. It had sickened Amanda to know a baby had been created to be used to discredit such a fine Vulcan and her mate. It had caused them to nearly be destroyed and all because Paxton thought he had the right to decide who could love one another. Love was a rare thing be it Vulcan or human and it did not need to be denigrated by those that thought only humanity had the right to rule the stars. They were not about to allow some damned Terran Empire. Never, not on her watch, Earth might only be a place she got to visit now but it was still hers to protect. It meant she help ViJay and the others end Terra Prime. She knew most people on Earth never got to learn the true history of that dark time. Yes Augments had risen and yes they had taken over much of the world but many failed to ask why they did. Why had they taken up arms against the so called normals of humanity? It really had been simple. They had been forced to do so in self defense. The so called normal humans had feared them and tried to control them denying them the same basic rights they took for granted. Of course the Augments had sought to have their own safe places. When that had failed they had fought back and because of their superiority fought back well. It was only because of betrayal that humanity had won and it sickened Amanda to know that that betrayal had slaughtered millions. She was just glad her forefather Mestral had kept his word and had helped save many of their allies.

"Daniel you and T'Mara have done well. Thank the teams and gather what intelligence you can. Garak, Felix and ViJay will sort though it later. Make certain there is nothing left behind to identify you or our people and Daniel let them have no doubt who has done this."

Daniel swallowed hard. He knew Amanda was not as merciful and kind as many believed. When it came to protecting their people she was as dangerous as any Klingon and far less merciful. He loved his sister and would obey her command even if it made him a bit ill. He also knew that a part of him was relishing the idea of reminding the world that evil could not thrive in the shadows because that was their place their home. He nodded. "It shall be done T'Sia. I do believe Garak is looking forward to it. However I may just take that honor for myself."

Amanda nodded at this. "I would gladly do it. However Sarek and I have a dinner to attend. We must attend the opening of the Federation Council. I admit having no pity given the images you have sent us. Are there any survivors?"

Daniel was wary he and T'Mara had already considered the children they had found. There were four he knew they could not be sent to foster care and their parents were dead killed by terra prime. Clearly they had learned that parental bonds formed so they ended that threat. "We have four children T'Sia. Lady T'Pol has claimed two as her own."

Amanda's brow rose at that. T'Pol was not a young Vulcan but neither was she old. "What was her logic?"

"A payment a life owed and T'Sia…then there is the fact that this child this boy and girl child is hers."

"What, how is that possible?" Amanda demanded rising up from her chair.

"We don't know. All we can think of is that all those years ago they smuggled some DNA samples from her and Charles and just now used them. The tests are conclusive and frankly T'Sia I think maybe Garak and I will need to stand in line."

Amanda nodded at that. "I agree there is a debt owed. The other children what shall be done with them?"

"T'Sia I beg you….we T'Mara and I want them. Their parents were related to T'Mara. Her cousins the ones that went missing last year they are here."

Amanda felt a tear well and she felt rage. "I will arrange it with Sarek we will have to have papers to allow it. However I am sure he will agree it is wise and T'Pau will approve."

Just then the door to her office opened and Sarek came in. He looked concerned.

"Daniel finish up I must brief Sarek on this. Do what you must but make it Painful and bloody and make sure the press learns of it once you are away." Amanda commanded.

Sarek's brow rose at this. He clearly did not approve but he held his words knowing that Amanda would not issue such a command without reason. He would hear them before berating her. Ten minutes later he had decided that the blood eagle was far too merciful for those Terra Prime monsters. The pictures of dead and dismembered humans and Vulcans made him want to lose his lunch. The fact that they had still been alive when they had been torn apart was the darkest thing he could see. He watched as the male of the pair had been forced to watch his child ripped from its mother's womb and the so called doctors let her bled out as they sliced her arms off because she had tried to fight them. It was something from one of the horror films he had seen with Garak and Felix when they as a group had been exploring human films. However it was real and it was done to beings they knew and called family and Sarek rage was barely contained as Amanda held him. It was all he could do not to order the fleet to attack and destroy humanity. Only the fact that his mate was there and as enraged as he stayed his hand, she would avenge their fallen and it would remind humanity that they were not the top of the line alpha Predators.
