'This is strange.'
It was really the only thought Kagome had as Hitch dragged her through the streets with a strength that was a bit surprising.
Though that made it rather clear she was not a civilian.
"Why are you hiding your face?" Hitch asked with a sly smirk, pulling Kagome even closer to her side, "Don't you want everyone to see how pretty you are?" She slowly moved for the hood, trying to take the Priestess by surprise.
"I, umm, don't really care about that," Kagome answered hesitantly, "It's fine really. I'm sure my friends can help me find a necklace, so I don't want to waste your time." She tried to let down Hitch gently.
"No trouble at all!" Hitch grinned, "I was going shopping anyways, so– hey, what are you doing!?" She growled, taken back when a hand gripped her arm roughly.
"What the hell are you doing?!" Eren retorted back, having moved once he noticed just what Hitch was trying to do, "We don't need your help." He stated with a glare and received one right back.
"In times like these, we need to all help each other, right?" Hitch huffed in a falsely sweet manner, "You just need to relax."
"You might be trying to hide it, but it's obvious you're a soldier," Mikasa said with narrowed grey eyes, "But you are not in the Survey Corps. What exactly are you trying to pull?"
"I just want a little girl time. Is that a crime?" Hitch clenched her fingers harder on Kagome's arm, "Maybe I am a soldier, so what? There aren't many girls where I'm stationed."
"What military branch are you from?" Petra asked coolly, not too impressed with this whole situation, "Because if you are a part of the Military Police, you can just back off right now."
"And don't bother to lie," Oluo sneered, "We can easily look up your files, you know." He said, attempting to intimidate the girl with his taller height.
Hitch cursed in her mind, letting go of Kagome's arm once she realised she was caught in the act, "Fine, I can see I'm not wanted here," She glared, hoping that Marlo would be able to come up with a better plan than she, "Don't have to cause a scene now."
"What a bitch," Eren muttered as Hitch stomped off, "Do you think the Military Police are on to you, Kagome?" He asked in concern, "It could just be a coincidence though."
"They didn't seem all that concerned with me when we took Leonhart away," Kagome sighed, "If they were, wouldn't they have arrested me right there?" She voiced her thoughts out loud.
"I agree with that," Eren nodded, glancing at Petra and Oluo for their opinion as he hoped that they would know more about the Military Police than him, "They aren't exactly the subtle type of people."
"We still need to be cautious," Petra warned, "Maybe they realised that going overboard like they did with you, Eren, isn't the best of ideas. Commander-in-Chief Zackly is a fair man, so even if the Military Police tried to put Kagome on trial, he would probably clear all the charges once he knows about your amazing powers."
"We should hurry with this errand," Mikasa said, looking to Kagome, "The sooner you are out of the public's view, the better it is."
"I suppose," Kagome sighed again, a bit downtrodden with the whole idea that she should stay hidden at all, "Let's go then."
Her presence really was complicating things...

"Should we really be doing this?"
Reiner let out a breath as Bertolt asked the same question for what seemed like the hundredth time, "We have to get on the girl's good side," He answered impatiently, "You saw what she did with Annie. They managed to capture her so damn easily," He grit his teeth harshly, "For all we know, Annie's being tortured for information right this second."
Bertolt swallowed down his anger at the thought, "Annie won't talk," He said, though he didn't sound nearly as confident as he wanted to, "We were prepared for this."
"Were we?" Reiner murmured, letting a bitter smirk to appear on his face, "As long as keep acting like the way we have for the past three years, then we should be fine."
He sure well damn hoped so.
The tall brunet could not say anything in response as doubt began to well up in him. He glanced to the sword that was strapped to Reiner's back (that the blond had wrapped in a cloth so it wouldn't be noticed) and almost cringed at the sight of it.
He knew it could kill them in one slash.
The duo walked back to the headquarters of the Survey Corps, trying to draw as little attention to themselves as they possibly could, even if the city remained relatively chaotic in the aftermath of the damage of Annie's and Eren's fight.
They just hoped they weren't called on any orders at this particular time.
"You."
The stoic voice had the two stiffening and they tensed, turning around to look at the person they wanted to see the very least step up behind them.
"Lance Corporal Levi." Bertolt acknowledged anxiously as he and Reiner immediately saluted at the sight of the much smaller man.
Levi ignored him as his eyes narrowed at Reiner, feeling annoyance at the very sight of him, "What the fuck are you two doing?" He demanded, knowing they should have orders to be doing something rather than wandering around aimlessly.
They were up to something.
And he never ignored his instincts.
"No one has called on us," Bertolt answered apprehensively, trying to draw Levi's attention to himself and away from Reiner, though it was the last thing he wanted to do, "We were just headed back to the headquarters to see if we coul–"
"What the hell is that?" Levi interrupted, not caring about the tall brown-haired cadet he could not even remember the name of at the moment, "Answer me, shithead." He ordered, staring at the clothed item on Reiner's back.
"Nothing important," Reiner cursed mentally, practically feeling the rage coming off the Corporal at his clear disrespect, "Do you have any orders for us, Sir?" He quickly tried to change the topic at hand.
"So that's why we couldn't find it," Levi drawled, "You will hand me that right now," His tone darkened dangerously, "Do you understand me?"
Bertolt swallowed thickly when Reiner hesitated to comply and he held back the nervous babbling that wanted to spill forth, knowing that it would only make their current situation even worse.
"And if I don't, Sir?" Reiner asked bravely, tensing when Levi reached down to place his hands on the hilt of his blades, "What will you do?"
"I fully intend on keeping my promise to that brat," Levi smirked darkly, "If it means cutting you down right here and now to keep it, then so be it." Because if it was for Kagome...
It would be easy.
