Me: Hello lovelies, time for another chapter.
Tomuru: I am Groot
Me: well looks like someone's watched Guardians of the Galaxy 2.
Tomuru: I am Groot.
Me: Ok well enjoy lovelies!
Tomuru: I am Groot!
Me: yeah that's not going to get old at all.
Haruhi: Yeah you can say that again.
"Hellllooo Tomo Chan!" Sang Tamaki, the twins, and Honey as Tomuru opened the front door to see who knocked. Mori and Kyoya standing behind them.
"…Hellllooo Host club!" Tomuru sang back.
"We've come to visit you!" Tamaki declared excitedly.
"I can tell, well come on in." Tomuru stepped to the side to let them pass.
"Do we need to take off our shoes, like with Haruhi's home?" Tamaki asked.
"Nah, if they're clean you can keep them on. We'll head to the kitchen and I'll make some drinks," Tomuru answered.
Everyone followed behind Tomuru as they went to the kitchen, where Marcel sat waiting for the microwave to ping.
"Oh, hey guys," Marcel greeted as they entered, to which they responded in kind.
"You'll have to decide who's standing since there are only 5 seats at the breakfast bar. What drinks do you want? Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, ice tea, juice?" Tomuru listed the options, to the guests that were snooping around the cupboards.
Everyone piped up their orders, with Honey and the twins wanting hot chocolate, Mori for chai tea and Kyoya and Tamaki for coffee.
"Ok coming right up," Tomuru said, smiling as she heard paws galloping down the stairs.
"Here comes Boris!" Tomuru sang as the wrinkly towel ran into the room. He was so excited, he crashed into the fridge.
"Boris, be careful you nitwit!" Tomuru stopped what she was doing to comfort the seemingly unharmed shar-pei.
"Oh, he is the cutest!" Tamaki gushed, as he showered the dog with affection along with the other hosts. Apart from Kyoya, who was sat at the breakfast bar.
Marcel, grabbed his food and went to return to his room.
Once the drinks were made, she placed them on the counter and grabbed a spare chair so no one had to stand.
"Ok, your drinks are done," Tomuru announced, hopping up on one of the kitchen counters.
"This is quite a lovely home you have, far bigger than Haruhi's," Tamaki complimented, whilst taking his seat with the others.
"Thanks, I'll show you lot around later," Tomuru replied.
"So Haruhi's at home I take it?" Kyoya spoke up, taking a sip of his drink.
"Yeah, she's got some studying she needs to get done so I'm not bothering her today," Tomuru said, giving a pointed look to the others.
"Hey, we won't bother her either!" The twins defended.
"Good, so what made you decide to pop in?" Tomuru asked
"I'm the only one from the host club that hasn't seen your house, so obviously, I can't let that stand!" Tamaki answered.
"Ah, makes sense." Tomuru smiled as she saw Boris nibble at Mori's feet.
"You're not kidnapping my dog Groot," Tomuru told him.
"No promises," Mori replied, fussing over Boris.
"So where's Rossi Chan?" Honey asked.
"He's upstairs, I'll go shout up to him." Tomuru hopped off the counter and walked to the bottom of the stairs.
"YO, ROSSI, THE HOSTS ARE HERE!" Tomuru shouted up to him.
"OK!" Rossi shouted back.
The study door opened and Aziza came down the stairs.
"Oi, you're not Rossi!" Tomuru accused.
"I'm just having a tea break. Plus, I want to say hi, it's polite," Aziza said, flicking her daughter's cheek as she went passed.
"How dare you!" Tomuru gasped dramatically, clutching her cheek as she returned to the kitchen.
"Ooh, finally the complete set is here. You must be Tamaki," Aziza greeted as she entered the kitchen, Tomuru returning to her seat.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, madam," Tamaki greeted suavely, taking Aziza's hand and pecking it softly.
To which Aziza burst into laughter, which made her curly hair bounce, causing Tamaki to pale and shrink back into his seat.
"Oh, I'm sorry it's just so funny to me for some reason, you're still just a kid and all that. I honestly didn't mean to offend you!" Aziza laughed.
"Yeah she's Doggie's mum alright," Hikaru and Kaoru decided in sync.
"Don't feel too guilty Ma'am, Tamaki is not quite used to such a reaction," Kyoya spoke up kindly.
"I can imagine, well what have you got planned today then?" Aziza asked as she boiled the kettle.
"Uuuh not sure yet, they just popped up suddenly. Eh, I'll think of something," Tomuru waved off.
"Well, are they staying for dinner?"
"I dunno, are they?" Tomuru turned to the hosts, which of course said yes.
"Of course they are," Tomuru sighed, getting up to see what she can make for 11 people.
"Tommi, why don't we have a take out tonight? Pizza and chips or something yeah?" Aziza suggested.
"Really?" Tomuru perked up.
"Sure, we haven't had one in a while, plus we do have guests over."
"Well alright, that's settled, awesome sauce."
"What's awesome sauce?" Rossi asked as he entered the room.
"We're having pizza and chips tonight," Tomuru answered.
"Sweet, hey guys," Rossi greeted the others. Boris has now gone to nibble Tamaki's feet.
"Kay, so we'll finish our drinks, I'll show you around then we'll take over the living room and…." Tomuru trailed off trying to think of something fun to do.
"We can gather up a bunch of pillows, blankets, and duvets to see who can make the best comfort den?" Tomuru thought aloud.
"That's."
"A."
"Awesome!"
"Idea!"
Spoke Tamaki, then Hikaru, followed by Kaoru then finished by Rossi.
"Alright, so long as you tidy up after yourselves. We might not have enough for one each, so how about you lot split into two teams?" Aziza spoke up.
"Sounds good Motherlord, and the winning team gets to pick out the films we're watching tonight," Tomuru decided.
"How will these dens be judged?" Kyoya asked.
"Space, comfort and how cool it looks," Tomuru listed, Rossi nodding in confirmation.
"Since Yuliana's not here you can't use her bedding. I don't mind you using mine but go and ask Marcel if you can use his," Aziza stated.
"We'll go!" the twins offered, racing up to his room.
"See they know that he can't deny them as much as me," Tomuru said, knowing full well their intentions.
"So how are we going to team up?" Tamaki asked, elated in joining in a fun commoner game.
"Well, since it's usually sibling vs sibling then Tomuru and Rossi should be team leaders," Aziza suggested.
"Ok then, when the Tweeds get back I've got an idea on how to choose teammates," Tomuru said.
The twins returned, with Hikaru wearing the duvet around him and Kaoru carrying the pillows.
"He said we can use them," they both chimed.
"Great, so we'll go in the living room now." Tomuru stood up and gestured them to follow as she walked down the hall into the living room.
"I'll go collect some materials for you," Aziza offered, chuckling to herself at her daughter's usual immature antics.
"Right, let's have everyone stand in a circle around Rossi. He can pick first," Tomuru instructed.
"Then what?" Hikaru asked.
"Once Tomuru blindfolds me I spin around and point to someone, who will be my teammate. I have to do these three times, right?" Rossi explained as Tomuru tied a scarf around his eyes.
"Yep, so once the person has been picked, step out of the circle. No one says who it is until all three have been chosen alright?" Tomuru guided Rossi to the middle of the circled hosts.
"Ok, you ready Rossi?" Tomuru asked.
"Yep!" Rossi nodded
"Alright 3, 2, 1 spin!" Tomuru counted him in.
After a few spins, Rossi pointed to Kyoya first, which he stepped out quietly. Next was Honey, followed by Tamaki.
"Ya can take off the scarf now," Tomuru said.
"Oh, so I've got Honey, Tamaki, and Kyoya," Rossi said.
"Yep, which leaves me with the Tweeds and Groot," Tomuru confirmed.
At that moment, Aziza came in with Marcel. With armfuls of bedding and pillows. Dumping it on the ground.
"Ok kiddies, I'm gonna divide this up so you've got equal amounts of materials to work with. Each team has two duvets, 4 pillows, and a blanket to work with," Aziza explained, nudging the materials to each team. With Tomuru's team getting the galaxy blanket and Rossi's team getting the camel print blanket.
"Great thanks, Motherlord. Can you judge us once we're done?" Tomuru requested.
"Sure, I'll just be working in the kitchen. Have fun!" With that, Aziza headed to the kitchen to continue writing.
"Ok, we have an hour to get these done guys, Marcel, time us in!" Tomuru said, setting an alarm for an hours' time.
"Got it, ok 3,2,1 go!" Marcel counted down, to which the teams got to work.
"Right, so Hikaru and Kaoru are the fashion models so we've got the aesthetic down, I know all about comfort, Mori is the tallest in the group but we'll make it work. We've got this in the bag!" Tomuru listed, the beginning of the contest fills her with determination.
"Yeah, let's do it!" The Tweeds cheered.
"So, the space theme is definably trending at the minute so that gives us an edge," Kaoru started brainstorming.
"Yeah, but the animal print is also in fashion now, especially since summer's here," Hikaru counter acted.
"Cactus's are really big now, should we put a couple in the doorway?" Tomuru piped up.
"Yeah, but that might negate the comfort of the den," Kaoru doubted.
"We have a couple of fake cacti," Tomuru assured.
"Ok yeah sure, if that stays within the rules," Hikaru agreed.
"Sure, so long as we have the same bedding materials. They have to differ in some way, right?" Tomuru spoke up, running to grab the little fake cacti pots.
Meanwhile on Rossi's team…
"I think the Hitachiins are going to focus their design on the aesthetic too much," Rossi noted.
"Yeah, they should think about space, since they have Takashi on their team," Honey added.
"It doesn't matter what they're doing. The best course of action is to focus on the space," Kyoya suggested.
"Yeah good idea, so usually we'd use chairs, the sofa, and stools as foundations of the den," Rossi agreed.
"They are stable, though takes up a lot of space," Kyoya noted.
"Yeah…"
"Tamaki, do you want to find some things that we can use to make our den look nice?" Rossi asked, seeing how Tamaki was getting gloomy cus he wanted to help.
"Of course dear son! I will find the best things!" Tamaki rushed off excitedly.
"Ok, I have an idea for the foundation. I just need to check with mum to see if it's ok," Rossi said, walking off to the kitchen.
The hour passed with the two teams working together. It was time for judgment, to which Marcel entered the room and declared both teams to stop working. Both teams stood beside their creations as Aziza came in for judging. Boris had to remain in the kitchen until he was needed.
"Ok guys, I'll start with Rossi's team since his is the closest den," Aziza decided.
Rossi's den was a square shape since one of their duvets were hung on an opened-up clothes horse. With the camel blanket used as a doorway. Inside, the second duvet was laid on the floor, with four electric candles placed in each corner for ambiance. The pillows were spaced out as seats for the four den makers. Tamaki hung floral scarves and bows made from spare fabric from Marcel's room. Honey wanted to include a few stuffed animals for comfort.
"Alright looking good, now can all four of you enter the den please," Aziza requested.
To which they all entered, in the order of Tamaki, Honey, Rossi, then Kyoya. They all just managed to fit with their legs crossed.
"Ok, you can come back out now." Rossi's team stood back up and stood beside their tent as Aziza turned to look at Tomuru's den.
Their tent was a tepee-shaped tent, held up by two breakfast bar stools stacked on top of each other. Where one stool is placed upside down on the bottom one. Their galaxy blanket was placed over the stool, with fairy lights placed on top for aesthetic. As well as the two fake cacti at the doorway. Inside, a tray is placed on the bottom of the top stool, as a table to put drinks on. from the inside, the lights show the stars on the blanket. The pillows are used as seats as well. However, one duvet is placed on the floor, whilst the other was placed on top around the bottom stool.
"Alright very nice, can you all enter the den now please?"
They entered the den in the order of Tomuru, Hikaru, Kaoru then Mori. They just managed to fit in the den, though they had to sit holding onto their knees.
"Ok, come on out," To which Tomuru's team crawled back out and stood beside their den.
"Right, now for the final test. Marcel, please bring in Boris," Aziza requested.
"We will place Boris in the middle of both dens. Whichever he chooses helps your score," Aziza explained to those first-time participants.
"Yeah so we're not allowed to make a sound when he comes in got it," Tomuru added, to which the others nodded.
"Ok, he's coming so shhh."
"Marcel entered holding a wriggly Boris. He placed Boris down and stepped back to see where he'll go. First, he turned to Aziza, looking up at her with his milky eyes wriggling his entire body excitedly. To which Aziza had to look away to stop from breaking down with laughter. Boris then trotted around to Marcel, then veered to the entrance of Rossi's den. Before pushing through the blanket and going inside.
"Yes!" Rossi cheered.
"Yay Boris chose us!" Honey and Tamaki celebrated.
"It breaks my heart every time," Tomuru whimpered, clutching at her heart.
"To be fair Tommi it's not like he has a preference. His choice is very random," Aziza commented.
"Alright now I stand to the den I thought was the best," Aziza added, to which the room fell silent in anticipation.
Aziza let the room grow in tension, before turning to stand nest to Rossi's den.
"NOOOO!" Tomuru and the twins fell to their knees dramatically. Mori remained neutral, but deep down he's was a bit sad that Boris didn't go to him.
Tamaki gave Honey a piggyback, doing a lap around the room in celebration.
"I'm sorry guys but they had more space and I thought the clothes horse was a good idea. That and Boris choosing this den then it was settled. I thought you had the more appealing looking den though," Aziza consoled.
"Yeah, alright congratulations team Rossi," Tomuru congratulated, still a bit salty from the defeat.
The night brightened up later when the pizza and chips arrived. The bedding and materials returned to their rightful places. Aside from the blankets which were shared whilst watching the films that were picked out. Tamaki picked the Princess Bride, he's never heard of it before but he liked the sound of it. Rossi picked out one of his favourite Disney films the princess and the frog. Insisting on wearing his green Tiana dress during it. just having enough time for Honey's choice which was Ponyo. Of course, during all three films, Tomuru either sang the songs or recited most of the dialogue, especially with the Princess bride.
"I just realised I didn't give you guys a tour." Tomuru blurted out suddenly halfway through Ponyo.
"We'll have to save that for next time we come over," Kaoru shrugged lazily.
Tomuru looked around to find almost everyone was starting to melt into the furniture, including her, in a cosy sleepy atmosphere.
"Yeah, next time Dearest will hopefully be less busy," Tomuru sighed, snuggling herself more in between the twins who leaned on either side of her.
"Haruhi would've enjoyed herself if she was here," Tamaki piped up.
"Oh, for sure," Tomuru agreed.
Me: Well there you go. Who do you think should've won?
Tomuru: I AM GROOT!
Me: Guess she meant that it's time for Tomuru's Tidbits. So today it's one of Tomuru's favourite book series. Which is Artermis Fowl, why is that Tomo?
Tomuru:...
Me: Oh god I'm an idiot.
Tomuru: I. Am. Groot.
Me: Should've known, seeya next time lovelies!
