Breaking the News

(Bella's POV)

Renesmee was currently upstairs in bed with Lizzy and Masen while Lily and Aidan headed to their respected rooms. In a matter of moments all of the kids were going to get an extensive talk with their parents.

Today was the day we would be breaking the news to them about the move to Isle Bella and the other islands. We planned to bring them there over spring break to show them the islands, and take a look at them ourselves. I kind of want to see these islands before we move there.

I was nervous about what the kids were going to say to this. Especially with Nessie and Lizzy. I don't think Lizzy will take it as hard as Ness, but you never know.

Edward comes over to take my hand and I take a deep breath. Was it normal for a vampire to feel this jumpy? If I was human I know my heart would be pounding out of my chest right about now.

We head up the stairs to find Renesmee with her siblings like we expected. Renesmee was in the middle with Lizzy on one side and Masen on the other. They were all quietly watching the television screen with intensity.

Renesmee has improved greatly since her attack. Most of the bruises have gone away and her rib was getting better and better each day. In no time she'd be back to her normal self, running around and playing with her cousins and siblings.

"Hey," I said softly as we enter the room, altering our presence. They all turn to us and I see smiles play on their lips.

"Hi!" Renesmee chirped as Edward and I go to sit down on the big bed with them.

"We need to talk," I told my children as I swiftly clicked the T.V off. They all look at Edward and I inquisitively. I share a look with my husband before looking back at our kids.

"It's about the move," I explained to them gently.

"What about it?" Masen asked nonchalantly.

"We wanted to talk to you three about moving somewhere else," Edward said to them.

"Where?" Renesmee questioned, her eyebrows raised.

"Well you see, Daddy just bought me an island right by Isle Esme. It's called Isle Bella and it's right by three more islands called Isle Rose, Isle Alice, and Isle Cullen," I explained. "We've been thinking, for awhile, and we thought that maybe it would be beneficial if we moved to the islands."

"What about Lily and Aidan?" Masen questioned, his tone clearly worried that there was a possibility his cousins wouldn't be coming with us.

"They will live on Isle Rose, and we will on Isle Bella. They aren't far from each other at all. In fact they're right across from each other and you could swim there if you want," Edward told our children. "The whole family wants to go there. It's a place for you guys to grow up without any worries."

"What about the home in Grey's Harbor County?" Renesmee asked curiously.

"There is still a home there," said Edward. "The thing is, it's going to come down to the three of you. We can still live here in Washington, or we can move and live on our own islands. Whether we choose to or not, the whole family does want to go regardless."

"When you say the whole family, what about Grandpa Charlie? Nanna Sue?" Renesmee questioned.

"They can visit or we can visit here. It's not a problem," I told her softly.

"What about their wedding? Are we going to miss it?" She wondered. Renesmee was already worried she couldn't attend the wedding because of her injuries. I knew this was something she was looking forward to, considering she is the flower girl.

"No, it's in May. We won't be leaving until June. It gives you plenty of time to say goodbye to your friends and finish up school," I said.

"Yeah, what about school?" Renesmee asked. "If we move to our own private islands where will I go to school?"

"Daddy, Grandpa, or Grandma will homeschool you kids. We haven't thought much about it yet who will teach you, but you will get home schooled in this big library they have on Isle Cullen," I explained.

"But..." Renesmee bit her lip and looked at me with concern in her eyes, "What about Jacob?"

"And Seth?" Lizzy added, blinking at us intensely.

This was the part I was dreading. I swallowed. I wish their bonds weren't this intense. I'm grateful for everything Jacob and Seth have done for my daughters. I love both of them very much, but I just can't help wish it never existed so it would make wanting to move easier for the girls.

"Look...Seth and Jacob can come visit whenever they like. Grandma and Grandpa built a house just for them when they visit. Plus we can still visit them up in Forks," I told the girls as gently as I could. "You'll see Jacob or Seth whenever they want to come. It's all up to them. We have space for them on the islands."

"Oh, do they know?" Renesmee asked me curiously. "About the move."

I shook my head, "No, baby."

"Oh." My daughter bit her lip, a habit she's picked up from me when she's nervous.

"I say we move. It seems fun!" Masen exclaimed energetically. "I love Forks, but come on! It's our own private islands in Brazil! No offense to you two, but I want to get out of here. Haven't left Forks once yet."

"Neither have I genius," Lizzy remarked. I watched as she then turned to us.

"I would go, for you guys. As long as I can see Sethy," she said using her soft little bell like voice that is rarely heard. I sigh in relief hearing this. So Lizzy and Masen are on board. I look at Renesmee who is just starring at her feet.

"Renesmee?" I whispered, placing my hand gently on her leg.

"I don't wanna leave Jakey," My daughter wailed. Soon tears were cascading down her beautiful cheeks. I sigh as I go to wipe them and bring her over to my lap.

"You'll still see him," I cooed, pressing a kiss to her forehead.

"But, I can't leave without him! He's my protector. My best friend. And what about Forks? It's our home, and Grandpa Charlie?" Renesmee sobbed.

"I told you, they can all visit. On this island we'll be safe, I promise. It's right by Isle Esme and we won't have to worry about anyone trying to hurt us," I said to her. She bit her lip again and looked down at her hands.

"I'll think about it," she murmured. I smiled. At least that was a start.

"Thank you, angel. I promise you, it'll be only for a little bit. It's just so you can grow up a bit. Then, when you're all older we'll see what happens," I said.

"Okay Momma," Renesmee replied, giving in. "But I want to know what Jacob thinks first."

I sighed knowing this could maybe be the only way to convince Renesmee. "Sure baby," I answered, brushing the curls out of her face. "We need to talk to him about it anyway."

She nodded at me in acceptance. After kissing each of my kids on the forehead, my husband and I left the room to head downstairs.

"You know he's not going to be happy about this," Edward muttered to me as we went to go sit down on one of the nearby couches.

"I know," I replied dryly as I go to cuddle up to my husband on the couch.

Edward wraps his arms around me while I rest my head against his chest. Lorenzo was gone, but that doesn't mean new problems won't arise in this family. Now I have to worry about what Jacob will say about this, especially after everything that just happened. Sure, I'd love to stay in Forks forever, believe it or not, but it's just not an option for us. People will get suspicious about the Cullen's never leaving their house. We couldn't go into civilization. Not even Port Angeles after awhile. Our family needed this. It was a place for us to be safe, for the kids to be kids, and for everyone to be happy for at least the rest of their childhoods. Once they grew up maybe we could venture out into the real world. Who knows, but right now I have to figure out what to do about Jake.

I invited him along with my dad, Seth, and Sue the next morning to break the news to them. To say I was nervous would be an understatement. I was freaking out all night. Edward tried to calm me down, but I just couldn't stop pacing. Thinking about all the possibilities that could happen.

When the sun rose the next day and noon rolled around, I could hear the voices of my family and friends outside. I took a deep breath and look out the window I to see Jacob enter the front yard with Seth, Charlie, and Sue.

The kids were occupied outside and Renesmee was asleep, so at least they didn't have to witness this. Rose and Emmett were watching the kids while the others were doing research about Lizzy and Masen's kind. Ethan thinks he has a new lead on their species. Plus I know Carlisle was interested in researching some legends to see if they could find more information on the Lux Lamia.

"Love calm down," I heard Edward's voice say softly as he gently set me down on the couch. I reluctantly let him sit me down as Esme brought our guests into the home. I smile seeing them and try to act normal.

"So Bells? How is everything?" Charlie asked me casually. "Is Ness okay?"

Charlie knows Renesmee got hurt. He doesn't know much about Lorenzo though. Seth and Sue explained a bit to him, but he didn't care. All he cared was that Renesmee was safe and that this threat was gone.

"Yeah. She's better. She's been sitting up on her own. Carlisle says that she'll be perfectly fine soon," I reassured him.

"Oh good." He smiled happily. "I'm glad to hear that."

"So Bells," Jacob said slowly. He then leant forward on his seat and stared at me intently. "Why exactly are we all here?"

"Huh?" I questioned, a bit confused.

"Please! I know you quite well Bella. Now, tell us what's going on?" He demanded. I sighed and turned towards Edward. He nodded to me in encouragement as I took a deep breath.

"It's about our move," I told them.

"What about it?" Charlie asked with raised eyebrows. "You're moving to Grey's Harbor County...right?"

"About that..." I muttered, trailing off. "We're not moving there anymore."

"Then where are you moving to?" Seth asked, frowning.

"To Brazil," I explained in a mumble. I then watch as everyone's eyes go wide and look at me with pure shock.

"Brazil?" my father repeated slowly.

"Yeah...The Cullen's bought their own chain islands not to far away from that island that Edward and I went for our honeymoon. There are four islands; Isle Cullen, Isle Alice, Isle Rose...and Isle Bella. We're all relocating down there. It's only until the kids grow up or at least grow out of their childhood years," I explained. "I know it seems a bit selfish. It's not just Edward and I who want to move, but all of us want the kids to spend the rest of their childhood on the islands. After all the crap that just happened...We just want them to spend the rest of their childhood in innocence."

There was a pause. Silence filled the air. I could feel my stomach, if it was possible, twisting in all sorts of knots. Then, my dad cleared his throat.

"Bells," my dad spoke up, looking at me with his big brown eyes. "You're not selfish. In fact, you are far from selfish. If anyone is going to be selfish it's me for wanting you to stay here. Just as long as there's plenty of room on that island for Sue and I to go there and vacation with the grandkids then I'll be happy."

I let out a dry sob of relief as I go to hug my father tightly. He chuckled as he held me back, pressing a kiss to the top of my head.

"Thanks Dad. Don't worry, we'll be coming to Forks in the summer. I know the kids will miss it, this town is our home, but we want to try this island out...Anyway we aren't moving until June," I explained.

"I understand Bells, it's perfectly fine. You're a mother of three kids and you're an adult now. An adult who happens to be making the right choices. I'm proud of you," Charlie told me.

Sue smiled as well. "I'm fine with it," She said. "Just like Charlie said, I just hope to see you all when we can."

I then look at Seth for approve. He smiles and stands up.

"Look, I'm going to miss Lizzy like crazy...But I'm only sixteen and she's not even one yet! We both have some growing up to do. I haven't even finished high school yet, and maybe in this time I could try going to college before Lizzy might possibly make the choice for us to be...You know," Seth said awkwardly, scratching the back of his head. I smile warily at him. "Overall, I'm okay with it."

I grin widely as I bring him into a hug. "Thank you, Seth," I mumble into his shoulder.

"It's fine Bells. I want her to have a choice, but I'm always going to be her protector. If any crap goes down there you call me in an instant and Jake and I will be there in a nano second," Seth said to me, smiling warmly at me. He then turned towards Jacob, "Right Jake?"

"Jake?" I look to see my best friend starring emotionless at the floor. His fists were clenched and I watched as he shut his eyes tightly. I sucked in an unnecessary breath as I approached him slowly. I felt Edward's hand on my shoulder.

"Love, be careful," he warned.

"Edward, I'll be fine," I said to my husband. "I'm not a fragile little human anymore. I'll be fine."

I could hear Edward sigh as I approached Jacob carefully.

"Why are you doing this to me Bells?" he asked me though gritted teeth.

"Jacob, I'm her mother, and I know it may hurt that you won't see her everyday, but you can visit," I said to him.

"I can't do this," he growled. Jacob then shot up and stalked out of the house in a bitter rage.

I didn't waste time after that to run after him him, ignoring the protests from Seth and Edward. I kept running until I found Jacob sitting on a log in the middle of the woods. I slowly approached him until I was about a foot away from him.

"Bella," he said softly. "After all this crap that just happened, how could you want to take her away from me?"

"Jacob, I know you two have a special bond, but she's just a kid. She needs time to spend it as innocent as she wants it to be. I am her mother and Edward is her father. We decide what we think is best for our family, and we think this is a really good way for the kids to grow up and be kids," I explained him. "She just a child, Jake. When she's older she'll come back to you, I promise."

"Are you even sure? What if she meets another guy?" Jacob mumbled as I sat down on the log next to him.

"You know that won't happen on the island. Jake, it's remote. No one but us will live on it. Anyway it's not like you won't see her. We have an apartment just for you and Seth down there to come and visit. Plus, we'll be spending time up in Forks as well during the summer. I promise this isn't going to be goodbye for the two of you. You'll be seeing a lot of her," I said to him.

"What did she say?" he asked in a mumble. I go to place my hand on his arm and rub it in a comforting way.

"She said she wants to know what you think," I told him. "She doesn't want to leave Forks, but I could tell a part of her wants to go as well. She just wants to know if you're going to be okay with it."

Jacob sighed and finally lifted his head up so he was looking me in the eye.

"Fine," he agreed, giving in. "Just promise me I can see her and that you'll bring her back to me."

"I promise, and when the time comes I won't stop her from loving you, Jacob," I said to him, placing a hand on his shoulder. "I know she was meant to love you Jake, but it's just not the time. She's only two and has the mentality of a eleven year old. She needs this. She needs an innocent and safe environment to grow up in. I know Forks is safe, but it's not as safe as the islands. It'll be her own paradise. She'll be happy."

"I know. And that's what I want her to be. I just want her to be happy," he replied. I smile as he then brings me into a bone crushing hug.

"Thank you, Jake," I whispered into the crook of his neck.

"Don't thank me," he mumbled as we slowly pulled away. "Look...I need to clear my head. I'll be back in a few days time...How much longer till you guys leave?"

"Until June," I answered. "It's so Renesmee could finish up school and we can see Charlie and Sue get married."

"Alright. Deal. But I still need a few days to clear out," Jacob responded as he changed into a wolf before my eyes. I then watched as my best friend run into the dark forest without another word.

"Bye Jake," I whispered as I slowly walk back to the house.

I felt horrible that I was taking her away from him, but we needed this. It wasn't just for me, or for Edward. This was for Renesmee, Masen, and Elizabelle. We all needed this.

"There you are, love," Edward exclaimed as he came rushing over to me, embracing me into a hug.

"Hey," I greet him with a smile as the two of us partially pull apart so we can face one another.

"How did it go?" he asked me.

"Jake's fine...He just needs to clear his head. That's all," I explained to my husband.

"Good, so that's taken care of," Edward said. I nodded while I then went to hold onto his arm.

"Yeah. It's all taken care of," I replied.

"Anyway, Alice told me that when you come back to head inside. She has some news regarding Masen and Lizzy's kind," Edward said to me.

"Like what?" I questioned as we slowly walked towards the home.

"I don't exactly know yet. She was reciting Hamlet in four different languages so I wouldn't find out," Edward said.

I chuckled as we enter the Cullen household. I noticed the kids were crowed around the living room watching cartoons while the rest of us headed into the study area were Ethan was at the computer with Alice and Jasper right by him. Rosalie and Emmett were on one of the couches, and Carlisle and Esme were sitting by one of the other desks.

"So what did you guys come up with?" I asked as I sat down on the free couch with Edward. Ethan sighed and spun around in the chair.

"Well we're not Children of the Light Cave," he said. I frown and share with Edward. Rosalie and Emmett seemed confused as well.

"What's our newest family member is trying to say..." Alice trailed off as she pranced out of her seat and around the room. "Is that Children of the Light Cave isn't their name."

"Huh? What do you mean?" Emmett questioned, his eyebrows furrowed together. "Then what the hell are they?"

"Well what Lorenzo said before, Lux Lamia. I think," Ethan said. "You see I learned Samuel's family came up with the name Children of the Light Cave. Turns out I don't even think it's called a light cave."

"Then what is it called?" Rosalie asked, narrowing her eyes.

"We don't know," Alice explained. "They have so many legends out there, it doesn't just have one name. But I think let's just say the official name is Lux Lamia. Light Vampire in latin."

"Alright so we'll call them Lux Lamia, what else did you guys find?" I asked as I lean back into Edward's chest.

"Well we have some theories," Ethan said. "What I brought up before about having two children. When both children are together their powers become much stronger, and if they combine them, like what Elizabelle and Masen did, then they are invincible. The Lux Lamia, we need our sibling or in other words 'twin' to be powerful."

"That explains some of it," Edward said.

"Also I wanted to bring up the fact that when Elizabelle was born, I just knew another was out there in the world. Samuel said the same as well when I was born. I guess that's why he really wasn't surprised to find someone else like him and Candice. I guess it's like an instinct that there are more out there like our kind...and somehow I know my brother is alive as well. I think it has to to with the connection of us all being born from the same pool. We are all connected together somehow in some sort of bond. I can't explain it, but I guess it's the magic that connects us. I mean, a witch had to make the pool," Ethan told us.

"Ethan is right about a witch creating it. Their powers are all taken from energy from nature. The most powerful source of energy is light from the sun or moon. It contributes to the theory about Samuel and his family calling it a light cave. The single light was used in the magic process because it's the strongest source of energy for a witch and anytime of magic out there. There had to be some witch that must have been so powerful to create a pool filled with liquid magic that makes certain vampires mate in," Carlisle said.

"I think we figured some of it out, but until then we need to try and find these others," Jasper said.

"Or they'll find us," Alice added.

"I have a question," Rosalie spoke up. "How did Alice have a vision of them? You know her visions get fuzzy around hybrids and the mutts, how come she could see Lizzy and Masen?"

"I don't know. Maybe it's because we're children of two vampires. Some of this is still unsolved. All we have is basically we're creatures called Lux Lamia, our kind was created by a witch, we were made in a liquid pool of magic, there are two of us born, one is born at a time of need, the pool never stays in the same place once, we're one of the most powerful races out there, and there is more of us in this world," Ethan said, summing everything up.

"Well at least we have an idea," Emmett said. "And we're not making up the name or anything."

"Emmett's right," I agreed. Everyone else nods as we all sit quietly in the study.

"What did they say about the move?" Rosalie asked me, reverting the subject.

"They're all good. Jake's upset, but he only wants Renesmee happy. Even if that means he is going to have to let her go for awhile," I told her.

"That's good, but the mutt doesn't need to be making choices for her anyway. She does deserve a choice you know," Rosalie huffed.

"I know, but her and Jacob have a bond," I said. "It was a bond they shared even before she was born. It's impossible that they will not get together."

"You never know," Edward said softly from behind me. "Jacob only wants Renesmee happy. What if she isn't happy with him. She doesn't have to stay tied down to Jacob. I am very grateful for everything he has done in protecting Renesmee, but what if it turns out to be that he's only her protector. Her best friend. I'll be open to the idea of Renesmee falling in love with Jacob when the time comes, but you never know. Renesmee could find someone else she might share a connection with."

"Or it can be another Eddie, Jakey, Belly love triangle." Emmett snickered. I rolled my eyes as I threw a pillow at his head even though he was unfazed.

"I do not want my baby to go through that," I mumbled bitterly. "It was always Edward, but it was always Renesmee pulling me towards Jacob."

"Let's pray that a love triangle does not happen," Alice declared. "For now, the future is undecided about her love life. She has yet to make decisions about it, anyway she's only two and has the mentality of a ten year old. She thinks boys have cooties right now, so let's enjoy that while it lasts. Renesmee has a bit of a way to go before she starts to like boys. Just enjoy her childhood," Alice said. I chuckle as I get up from the couch.

"I think I will," I said. Edward goes to take my hand as we head over to our kids with the others. Looks like our children would have a safe childhood. I just hope that Jacob will be okay.

A/N: So what do you guys think? Like how they took the news? I wasn't going to make Jacob overreact too much because I feel like he only wants best for Renesmee, and he thinks this will help her. He only wants her happy, and yes I know I must seem like a jerk for separating the two but if you read my last chapter you'd know i feel like the two both need some growing up to do. Sorry this chapter is a little late, but this is also a reminder I've been pretty busy lately. I have one more week until school starts and I am in a sport, so updates aren't going to be as frequent as they use to be like in the summer. Plus I've been wrapped up in starting a new story when I finish Family Always and I have to ideas in mind, but I can't choose. Plus I've been working on Noon Sun and all my other stories. Also, Btw yesterday was my birthday so reviews would be a lovely birthday presents ;) Anyway be on the lookout for updates and you guys rock :)
