The Seventh Lyoko Warrior

Part XLIII: Wrecked Wreck Room

The morning light of sunrise appeared over the horizon bringing about morning. The city was starting to wake when its beautiful light brought about warmth after the rainy cold night. The sky was beautifully blue with a slight greyish hue. The end of January was at hand as people began to welcome February.

Inside the cave Ana and Michael were still sleeping. When the first light of the sun appeared, Michael had changed back to his human form. His body was completely healed as the blood already dried up and changed into black ash. The silver cross had fallen off when he changed back as it laid beside him. Whatever it had done saved his life when he was on the brink of death.

He was the first to wake up and take notice that the world around him was full of color again. He looked at his hands and found that he was still alive and that he had transformed back. But it wasn't until he looked down when he quickly found something else; he was completely naked.

He stood up, walked over to where he hid the sack and quickly changed into a set of fresh clothes. He didn't put his shoes or socks on as he walked around barefoot. He knelt down beside Ana wondering what she was gonna say when she wakes up. He was afraid of telling her about his beast blood but now she knows. He remembered the werewolf in the alley and what it did to him. He didn't understand how he was weakened the way he was but there has to be some explanation to it.

Michael looked down at Ana, happy to see her sleeping so peacefully. After last night he wasn't too sure what she'd do but he was glad that she was here. It tore him up inside that she experienced all this but he didn't have any other choice. Had he not saved her than she would've been killed.

He stood up and grabbed his messenger bag, it was completely dry now. He took one glance at the dead fire and realized that no one put any wood on the fire. All that was left was a pile of cold grey ash. He grabbed his mobile from his bag and checked the time, it was very early. He yawned for a second as he wondered what time they fell asleep. Although he could only remember blacking out, he was just glad that he wasn't redead.

Ana began to stir when Michael noticed and walked over to the box of food. He grabbed a small bag of packaged mini muffins and some bottles of water as she started to wake up. She poked her head up half groggy as she lazily looked around. She was rubbing her eyes when Michael walked over to her and placed a bag of mini muffins and a bottle of water beside her. He quickly looked away when the top of the blanket started to unfurl, nearly exposing her body.

Michael knelt down beside the fire pit as he removed a few of the large stones and started to gently brush the ashes out of the circle before putting them back. After that was finished he walked back over to the small pile of firewood. He picked out of a few logs as he knew that he was gonna have to explain himself to her.

After he lit up the fire, Ana was more awake and started eating. She stayed beside the fire but Michael however stayed near the exit to give her time to wake up. The cave was filled with an awkward silence as neither of them said a word to each other. Even after she finished her breakfast she remained silent with the flames comforting her. Michael didn't say a word, he had no idea what he could say. He felt terrible for putting her through all that but it was the only way that he could keep her safe.

Ana put on her dried clothes when she saw Michael looking outside. As she looked at him, she couldn't help but notice that he had this sad and lonely look to him. She didn't know what to say in fear of saying something that would upset him. But she had so many questions to ask him but she didn't know where to start. Finally she picked up the courage, looked at him and asked.

"How long have you been a werewolf?" she asked, stunning him for a second.

"Since the day I was born," he answered in a low tone.

"Why didn't you tell me?" she asked. For a few seconds he didn't answer. Finally after taking a deep breath, he told her something that struck her hard.

"Because I was afraid that you'd hate me too," he said. Her eyes widened from shock as he continued. "When I was little, I got picked on a lot by kids and parents who looked at me like I was a freak. Every school I went to had only humans in it so I was usually alone. People would call me names or throw stuff at me just because I was the freak." He stood up, leaned his back up against the cave and looked out as he continued to explain himself. "The only friend I really had growing up was my grandpa, no one really understood me like he did. When I was little, I used to cry every day and hope for some time after school just to run in the woods and be alone."

"Was he a werewolf too?" she asked with tears running down her cheeks as she continued to listen to his sad tale.

"No," he simply answered. "My whole family are human, so I was always the outsider. Family get-togethers or birthday parties for a cousin or an aunt always ended up with me standing behind a tree alone. Eventually grandpa stayed with me because he knew what I was feeling. He never treated me like an outsider; he always looked out for me."

"What about your parents?" she asked.

"My mom left when I was four and took my little sister with her," he said, trying to fight back his tears. "I've tried to reconnect with her but it was like she didn't want to have anything to do with me."

"And your dad?" she asked. But to her surprise, he stayed silent. For the next minute the silence grew more awkward. Ana held her head down hoping that he wasn't upset. He never liked to talk about his dad, she figured that he had his own reasons and maybe would share them with her someday. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked." Michael sighed as he turned around and walked over to her.

"No, it's okay," he said, sitting down beside her. "I don't like talking about him because he made my life miserable. He ignored me most of the time and whenever we did talk; we'd just end up fighting."

"I'm sorry," Ana sadly said. "My mom used to tell me that I like to pry. I'm sorry if I upset you." Michael wrapped his arm around her and pulled her in for her head to rest on his shoulder.

"When I was a week old, I transformed into a wolf puppy for three whole weeks," he said to cheer her up.

"You did?" she asked with a chuckle.

"Yep, freaked my grandpa out," Michael said while chuckling too. "Paw-paw told me that mom used to hold me in her arms and sing a lullaby for me to go to sleep. Every night she'd sing this lullaby to me and I'd fall asleep without a fuss. I don't really have many memories of her but I do remember the lullaby. Sometimes at night I'd even sing it just to remember her warmth before I fall asleep."

"Awe, that's sweet," she said, fawning over the thought of his mom holding him as a wolf puppy. "Thank you for saving me, I was really scared. After that other werewolf left you collapsed. You lost so much blood, I thought I lost you." Michael listened to her sobbing as she recalled the moments of her trying to save him.

"I thought so too," he said, looking at the open palm of his left hand. "I don't know how but I'm still here." She thought back to what happened when she remembered his cross. Suddenly she started to look around when she noticed it on the ground. Michael wondered what she was doing when she crawled over, picked it up and showed it to him. Glad to see it again, he took and held it close to his heart. "Thank you for holding onto it, it's really special to me."

"Well it's a lifesaver," she said, reaching over to touch it. "When you passed out it started to glow. The holes healed up and suddenly you were breathing again. Next thing I remember is feeling so tired that I passed out." Michael gazed at the cross wondering how it could've saved him. He couldn't understand it but he had an idea of someone who could maybe answer that; Carlisle.

"I guess it really is a miracle," Michael happily admitted. He stood up and looked at the campfire in deep thought. Ana quickly noticed this as she stood up and studied the beautiful shiny surface of the cross when he noticed tiny bits of charred flesh in the creases.

"I thought silver hurts werewolves," she stated as she ran her finger over one of the creases as some if the charred flesh rubbed off onto her finger. "I see you wear it all the time but it never hurts you. The weird thing is that it hurt the other one, I saw it burning him every time it touches him. But if it burns him than why not you?"

Her question intrigued him since he was thinking the same exact thing. He wears it every day but it never hurts him. He hasn't met many werewolves in his life but it all seemed strange since none of the werewolves he remembered were never hurt when they touch the cross. He still didn't want to pin this off as a religious thing but it was bothering him as to why it was possible.

"It's made out of pure silver," Michael said, taking the cross back to show it to her. "A really good friend made this for me. He was a priest in a church a few blocks away from my home. I ran away once and found myself there. The priest was a nice human man, never judged me considering some of the preachers I met were a little crazy when a werewolf came around. I helped him with food drives for local soup kitchens, delivering toys to children's hospitals or sometimes cleaning up this old park that someone wanted to rebuild."

"Did they rebuild the park?" she asked, eager for more.

"Yep, the opening days was so much fun," Michael said as he held the cross up above his head. "My grandpa died before I turned thirteen so he kinda became a second grandpa to me. On my thirteenth birthday he called me to his office and put it in my hands. He told me how proud he was for all my help and wanted to thank me personally by wishing me happy birthday and giving me this. Since then I wear it every day because I love it so much." Ana smiled as she nestled her head into his shoulder. She loved listening to his stories, mostly the happy ones.

"That's a beautiful story," she said peacefully.

For the next half hour they sat together watching the fire. Michael stared at his cross with a smile on his face and a tear in his eye. He never told that story to anyone; not even Odd or the other Lyoko Warriors. He never really thought about it before until today but he was glad that she was the first he shared it with. She reminded him of Liana but she didn't avoid him like Liana did.

As they sat together, Michael took a deep breath and cuddled up with her. Now in his heart he was finally as ease, "maybe Ana is the one" he thought to himself. But his mind still flurried with thoughts about Liana that it bothered him. Almost two years ago they died, not a day goes by when it doesn't haunt him. But strangely with Ana, those thoughts seem to disappear. He didn't want it to get this serious with Ana but he couldn't help it, he liked her. She was more open and she didn't run away from him.

Suddenly Michael's mobile started to ring when he realized that he set an alarm to wake up. Ana stood up and grabbed her things as Michael grabbed the bloody blankets and stared at the black stains; he'd have to wash them later as he set them aside and put out the dying flames. He placed the cross in his pocket and grabbed his messenger bag before looking at Ana who smiled at him when she looked at him.

"Do you want a ride?" Michael asked, insinuating about transforming into his wolf form and letting her ride on his back. Intrigued by the offered, Ana took his messenger bag and smiled.

"I would love one," she replied.

Unlike the first transformation, black smoke leaked out of Michael body. He covered his body for a few seconds until it faded away, revealing the three foot tall black furred wolf. Ana look impressed since the last time he lost his clothes but this transformation didn't affect his clothes, more like it made them disappear. She couldn't help but feel excited to ride on his back again.

"Woof" Michael said, lowing the front of his body so she could climb on. Anxious and excided, she climbed aboard and they took off.

Michael in his wolf form carried her through the forest while carefully avoiding drawing any attention to themselves. Ana wrapped her arms around his neck afraid of falling off which made Michael laugh in his mind. He remembered Liana was like that too, she didn't really like riding on his back because it terrified her.

Today was a windy day as the wind constantly hit Ana, almost knocking her off a few times as they ran. Michael was so focused on where he was going that he didn't notice Ana letting go of his neck. She wanted to sit but the wind kept knocking her off balance as she was forced to lay back down and grab the back of his neck so she wouldn't fall off. Michael chuckled in his mind before letting out a loud howl to the wind.

When they finally got close to the school, Michael stopped to let Ana off before changing back. Ana was taken over by joy as she laughed and skipped. Michael noticed this and smiled thinking about how happy she was. She was ecstatic of how much fun and exciting the ride on the back of a wolf was. She felt a surge of adrenaline and wanted to go again but now it was time for everyone to wake up

Michael and Ana ran into the school, got their showers and met up for breakfast. As they walked into the cafeteria, Yumi and Jeremy took notice to the two of them holding hands and sitting together at a separate table. Yumi stared at the happy couple, glad to see them together before looking for Ulrich. He hasn't shown up yet and he wasn't in his room when she went back to talk to him.

After breakfast Michael and Ana kissed before departing for their separate classes. Michael didn't have science class but he had gym first period. He was the first as usual before everyone and was already leaving the changing room when he noticed Connor walking towards the changing room. But he quickly took notice when he saw that Connor looked paler than usual and his whole right forearm was wrapped in bandages.

"Morning Michael," Conner said, half-tired.

"Are you feeling okay, what happened to your arm?" Michael worriedly asked.

"My stomach's a little upset from something I ate at the festival," Connor said before looking down at his bandaged forearm. "I cut myself on some glass riding back from the movies the other night. The chain on my bike broke and I went down with it. The doctor said I'll be okay but he gave me some medicine for the pain." Michael's face cringed up from feeling sorry for him.

"Ouch, how's your stomach?" Michael asked.

"It's okay for now, I threw up earlier so I'm feeling much better," Connor stated. He looked at Michael somewhat concerned to his condition. "How are you feeling?"

"I'm feeling better," Michael said, appreciative for Connor's concern. "Having a high metabolism combined with an all-night cramming session and not eating dinner doesn't really scream "good idea" Connor could help but laugh, however his sounded a little weak as he casually stopped himself so Michael wouldn't feel too concerned.

"I better get dressed, see ya Speedy," Connor said with a small smile before going inside the changing room.

Michael started working out pull up bar when more and more kids including Yumi and William's Clone came in. After they were done changing they came out and walked directly towards Michael. He was happy to see them as more and more people came out in their gym outfits. But Michael noticed something strange when everybody walked out but Connor.

"Hi Michael, how are you feeling?" Yumi asked while William just stared blankly at him.

"I'm feeling better," Michael said, letting go of the bar as he landed softly on his feet. "Carlisle told me to take it easy." He looked over at William. "Hi William, what's up?" William looked up.

"The ceiling," a confused William said.

"Oh…kay.." Michael said, remembering that William was just a clone. He looked back at Yumi. "Any luck talking to Ulrich?" Yumi took a deep breath and just shrugged her shoulders in disappointment.

"I'd tried to but he wasn't in his room and I didn't see him at lunch," Yumi said, starting to feel worried. "I'll try and talk to him during lunch, maybe he'll be in a good mood." She turned and noticed Jim and Mr. Delmas against one of the walls whispering amongst themselves.

Yumi stared at the two whispers when she got this bad feeling that something has happened. She leaned over towards Michael wondering if his wolf hearing was listening by any chance. Michael stared at the principle and gym teacher when his eyes widened and a feeling of concern hut him. Something they said struck him as odd, he wanted to go and investigate it. But before he could tell her what they were something, Mr. Delmas and Jim stopped talking and slowly approached the center of the Jim.

"Attention students, can you please come to the center of the gym," Mr. Delmas said in his usual polite demeanor. Everyone did as he asked and walked to the center of the room to listen to what he has to say. "I regret to inform you all that first period and second period classed have been cancelled." Everyone but Yumi and Michael cheered as she started at Michael. He seemed more distracted about whatever they said.

"Settle down!" Jim angrily said. Everyone quickly quieted down as Mr. Delmas proceeded to make his announcement.

"I must inform you all that until said otherwise, first and second period have been cancelled," said Mr. Delmas. "I can't tell you what happened but just know that lunch and classes after that will happen at their usual times. I'd advise you all not to go to the Wreck Room. Our local police department is here and has asked me to tell all of you to please go to your dorm rooms. I'd only ask that you please just stay out of the police's way until everything is under control."

"What's going on sir?" one of the female students asked.

"Yeah why can't we go in the Wreck Room?" one of the male students angrily asked.

"What's happening?" another concerned male student asked.

"I heard some animal got loose," another male student stated from some rumors that he heard.

"Was anyone hurt?" another female student asked with a tinge of fear in her voice.

"Quiet down!" Jim yelled to everyone. Everyone stopped talking as Jim crossed his arms. "It's probably just some animal, everything's under control. Now I don't want to hear any more complaining, do as Mr. Delmas says or someone's gonna spend those periods with me in the study hall." Just as he said that everyone remained quiet hoping not to go to the Study Hall. Once Mr. Delmas was sure that everyone had settled down he continued to talk.

"What I can say is that an animal did get loose in the wreck room but the police have this all under control," Mr. Delmas said with uncertainty. Michael and Yumi looked at each other when they noticed that something didn't seem write.

After Mr. Delmas and Jim dismissed everyone, Michael, Yumi and William's Clone were walking out of the gym. Yumi told William to go back to his room so Michael and her could talk. When everyone was gone, Michael stood up against the closed gym doors as he continued to listen in. Yumi walked up and tried to listen in too but they left into another room. Confused about what happened, she turned and started walking towards the Wreck Room.

Michael noticed her leaving and quickly went after her. Yumi was determined to see what was happening but Michael caught up with her and walked beside her. For the next few seconds they continued to walk until Yumi finally broke the ice.

"What did you hear when they were talking?" Yumi worriedly asked. Michael looked at her for another second before telling her the truth.

"They said that the Wreck Room was destroyed by some bear or something," Michael said, uneasy and uncertain about the whole thing. "They were whispering about the cost of having equipment replaced, walls either patched up or tore down and rebuilt, light fixtures need replacing. And from what I heard through the gym doors is that there are large scratch marks all over the walls and floor and most of the equipment like the TV, foosball table, ping ball table and a few other things were tossed around and broken."

"Let's go check it out," Yumi said.

They finally reached the Wreck Room when they noticed men in police uniforms and animal control walking in and out of the building. They quickly noticed a sheet of plastic like paper covered the doorway as police constantly lifting the sheet up to get through. Michael quickly noticed that the door to the building had been ripped off its hinges because one man was taking the hinged off when he saw that they were bent as well as claw marks on the door frame.

From inside they saw bright flashes from police taking pictures inside as well as a few men carefully walking out while carrying pieces of what looked like broken equipment. They walked around the building to where Michael and Yumi couldn't see them. Guessing that there was a city dump bin in the back, the men came around a few times carrying pieces of broken and splintered wood as well as a broken TV box. From what they could see, the glass in the box was gone with nothing left but a few sharps of glass inside or in the frame and large deep claw marks around it.

Eager to find out more, Yumi and Michael walked over to the Wreck Room but one of the police standing by the door. He walked towards them and looked at them both wondering what they were gonna do for a second before turning them away.

"Sorry kids, nothing to see here," the police man stated. "Please return to your dorm rooms and let us get on with our work."

"What happened in our Wreck Room?" Yumi asked, hoping to find out more.

"I'm sorry but please head back to your dorm rooms, there is nothing to see here," the man said again.

"Come on man, there's gotta be something you can tell us?" Michael asked.

"This is your last warning children, please return to your dorm rooms or I'll be forced to take you in for interrupting a police investigation," the man said for the last time with a hint of seriousness to his tone.

Michael gently grabbed Yumi's shoulder and turned her around.

"Sorry sir, we'll go, thank you," Michael said politely as he started to nudge Yumi to walk.

When they got out of view from the cops Yumi turned around, not thrilled that they didn't learn anything. Michael was just glad to get her away before they could be taken in. He didn't want to mention the fact that he does have a fear of being locked up (Which you'll learn why in a future chapter).

"So what now, obviously they're not gonna tell us anything?" Yumi impatiently asked.

Michael took a minute to think about it when he got an idea.

"I'll wait until tonight when the police leave and check it out myself," Michael said, turning his head to look in the direction of the Wreck Room. "Maybe my nose might be able pick up on what happened." He looked back at Yumi to see that she was impressed by Michael's werewolf abilities.

"Sometimes I forget that you're a werewolf," she said honestly. She started to feel a bit relieved with Michael taking charge that she was actually glad that he would do it. She decided right there to go and find Ulrich and tell him about Michael doing double Lyoko duty so he can study.

Michael and Yumi left to head back to the doors. When they got to the boy's dorm they departed. Yumi stepped into Odd and Ulrich's room while Michael went to his own. Just as he walked inside Ana was there waiting for him. Michael was surprised to see her there but he was gladder that she was there. But something was bugging him, he quickly decided not to tell her about him investigating the Wreck Room tonight. Not only that but he had another suspicion that he didn't mention to Yumi about when he was listening to Jim and Delmas through the gym door.

Ana smiled as he walked in as she stood up and walked up to him to greet him. She wrapped her arms around him to give him a hug and they kissed for a second. Ana pulled away and looked around his room. It wasn't really decorated because he wasn't too big about decorations. He kept the room neat and tidy but between school, Lyoko, Ana and going out for runs he hasn't had much time to shop for anything like a poster or even a pot for some flowers.

Michael sat down for a moment when Ana strangely left his room out of the blue for a minute. When she came back, she was holding up what looked like two foot long cardboard tube. Michael noticed the tube as he stared at it with curiosity. She sat it down on the floor and looked at him with a large grin on her face. Michael started to become fearful as she pulled off a cardboard endcap off the tube but tilted the opening towards her so that he couldn't see what was inside.

"I had so much fun at the festival and I'm so grateful that you saved my life that I wanted to give you something," Ana started while slowly pulling the rolled up poster out of the cardboard tube. "One of the girls in my art class had a few of these because she's a big wolf fan and I happen to know a real life werewolf. Turns out that she had them in her room. I asked her this morning and she gave it to me." Michael's face immediately turned worried.

"You didn't…tell her…?" he fearfully asked. Ana quickly gave him an angered looked like he didn't trust her.

"I would never give away your secret," Ana said as she sat down beside him. Michael felt reassured but now a little sad that he had to ask. "I used to think that werewolves were just myths until I saw you in your wolf form. I think it's pretty cool, and you can do it anytime, day or night. Could you make others into werewolves?" Michael shook his head but Ana smiled in acceptance. "Oh well, I think I'd make a great werewolf though." She looked at him while handing him the poster. Michael gladly took it and unrolled it. It was a simple picture of a timber wolf in the grassy plains sitting down while howling at a large silver full moon. "I thought it would look cool hanging somewhere in your room. I hope you like it."

Without a word, Michael stood up with the poster in his hands. Ana wasn't too sure what he was doing but she stood up too. Michael had the poster opened up and he started to turn in slow circles while holding his arms outstretched. He kept turning in circles until he stopped with his arms outstretched in the direction of a portion of the wall directly above his bed. He walked over towards his bed and rested the back of the poster against the wall; moving it around constantly until he flashed Ana a confident smile.

"Right here," said Michael with a breath of excitement. He sat the poster on his bed, walked over to his computer desk, opened one of the underside drawers and rummaged through his pile of pencils, rulers, erasers and a bunch of other random stuff. Michael stopped searching when he pulled out a roll of scotch tape. "This'll work." He walked back to Ana with the tape.

He pulled strips of tape off the roll and carefully touched the ends of each strips with the sticky side outward. He made four circles and set them up on the wall in a rectangle shape to match the long poster. After that he dropped the roll of tape onto his sheet, picked up the poster and started to unroll it again when Ana went to the left side of the poster. She wanted to help him hang it up as their first official thing as real boyfriend and girlfriend.

After they hung up the poster they both stepped back and carefully studied it. Proud of their accomplishment, the couple hugged again and spent the rest of the time together talking about school and their relationship. Michael didn't tell her about Lyoko or that he was undead. (The Return to the Past did kick in near the end of part XXVIII: Kiss of Death by the words: "It was perfect, but a large ball of light got in the way") But the other thing he decided not to tell her was that Odd and the others know about him. He figured that it would be best if he told her later when the time was right.

The afternoon the classes were long but thankfully they were over without any interruptions from Xana or police. Nightfall came as students hit their dorm rooms and were ready to hit the hay when one was up. It was about eleven o'clock when the window to Michael's room opened as he climbed out. The area was finally quiet with most of the police force heading home while a few stayed inside the cafeteria to eat takeout since they were stuck there for the night.

Michael climbed off the roof and made his way across the school while carefully avoiding anyone. He didn't tell anyone but Yumi what he was doing which he had to assume that she let Ulrich and the others know. He passed by the cafeteria as both men were distracted by some conversation about a football game that they didn't notice a little electricity coming from the nearest outlet.

Michael arrived at the Wreck Room to notice no one standing guard. He got to the entrance to find it taped up with yellow caution tape and a plastic sheet to cover the doorway. Michael ran around the building casually checking windows but only finding disappointment because they were covered by a plastic sheet from the inside to obstruct anyone's view. Michael returned to the sheeted up door. He didn't want to do it but he pulled off the tape and lifted up the sheet and proceeded inside completely unaware that he was being watched.

Once inside he was greeted by a horrible sight. The entire interior of the Wreck Room had been torn apart. Deep and long claw marks had been torn into the walls and floor while pieces of floorboard were ripped up and tossed around. Many holes were in the walls and ceiling from random objects being thrown around. Pieces of splintered wood, torn cloth, cotton stuffing and shards of broken glass were scattered everywhere. Most of the light fixtures on the walls and ceiling were smashed with some even ripped out of the wall as wires protruded out which had been tied off with electrical tape for safety reasons. Most of the games and furniture was already gone with only a few scraps of the broken foosball table and a few ping pong balls were left from the wreckage.

Michael sniffed the air around him and felt glad that he couldn't pick up any blood. He continued to look around when he noticed one of the claw marks in the wall opposite of the door. He walked up to it and looked at it; it wasn't as deep as the others, probably a few centimeters deep. It was then Michael looked down at the ground and noticed a small piece of what looked like a navy blue t-shirt. He held it up to his nose and sniffed it, noticing a strange but very familiar scent to it. He didn't know whose it was but it was torn off.

"Why does it smell like wolf?" he curiously asked himself before sticking the piece of torn cloth into his pocket. He looked around the room some more until his search came up to the same smell of wolf. He began to feel clueless until he noticed something else. "What the?" He knelt down and picked up what looked like a piece of an orange colored mobile phone. Whatever happened destroyed this phone. "No blood, broken phone, torn clothing, wolf smell..." The piece of phone dropped out of his hand when he figured it out. "This is where the other werewolf transformed." He stood and quickly looked around the room. "Someone at this school is a werewolf, I gotta tell the others."

He began to run out of the entrance when the two cops from the cafeteria appeared in the doorway. Michael stopped and looked at the officers as they stared at him with anger in their eyes. He took a deep breath hoping that they wouldn't take him in.

"Sorry officers, I was just curious," Michael said, holding up his hands in case they were gonna cuff him. But the officers just stared at him while making slight growling sounds. He didn't know what was happening until he saw Xana's symbol appearing in their eyes. He tried to chuckle but came off as uneasy to his new predicament. "I guess police brutality's on your guy's minds."
