A/N: School's over for the year and i made it out. June is going to be that month where teachers decide to give you 3 essays 5 tests and finals every year, I can tell. I'm back on schedule now though. I still don't own Zelda.
grovyleTheGreat- Fai-yah!
Melkor'sOnlyLeautenant- :) I think like that too sometimes, though I try to be more positive.
This floor also had no electricity, so Link wandered around in the dark again. He made his way left with Zelda ranting again.
"You know, we've had normal phantoms, which are beige, and they have swords. Swords are cool, I mean, especially giant broadswords. But these new phantoms are red. You could have infinite possibilities with red. It's definitely a loud color, so this power's impressive, and it has to be different, because you wouldn't just have red phantom for no reason. Don't fall into that endless pit."
"Ok- ENDLESS PIT?" Link stopped just short of the pit. "Let's avoid that."
Link headed north to a safe zone! Of the two visible tears of light on this floor, one was in the middle of the maze the phantoms wandered, and the other was of left somewhere. Link braved the dangers of the phantoms, narrowly avoiding them twice, and got the first tear.
The second tear included more rants from Zelda as Link blundered through the dark.
"Ya know, darkness isn't all that bad of a thing. I mean, it's peaceful. Ghosts must be so misunderstood, if they live in such a peaceful place they must be carving lots of insanity. That's the real secret of ghosts, they just want attention. You know, that's kinda like me. I mean, dada and mama were so busy all the time and I never got very much attention, so I get why the ghosts would want attention. And this even goes full circle because I'm a ghost now and in the dark and isn't that funny?"
"Ummm... I got the second tear, but I'm not sure where to go."
"Huh?"
Link shrugged. "The authoress forgets how to do this part. She needs to look it up. Give her a sec."
"Ok?"
"Ok," Link said. "We have to go to the upper right corner then blow it up."
"BOMBS." Zelda yelled. Link made his way up to the upper right corner and blew it up. In there was a tear of light!
"Good. Let's get you in a phantom!"
"Sweet! What do they do?"
"Ummm... I wasn't paying attention."
"Well... Here comes a Phantom THEIR SWORD IS ON FIRE!"
"Huh?" Link looked at the red phantom. Surely enough, its sword was on fire. "It's like a torch." He hit the torch phantom in the back and Zelda flew in. He immediately ran for cover because Zelda started to run around waving the giant flaming broadsword everywhere.
"Pant... Pant... Pant... Ok I'm good." Zelda said, relaxing. "There was a sign I saw below us that we couldn't read even though I glow. Let's read it."
They went downstairs and read it. It said the wall 3 steps left was thin so they blew it up and got a Palace Dish. Zelda had no idea how it got there.
"Ok, back to where we were..." Zelda said, "Let's explore the bottomless pit."
"Are you crazy?"
"Nah, I saw a path with my glow while I was ranting but didn't feel like mentioning it."
"Okay?"
After carefully navigating the pathway, Zelda lit the torches next to the locked door at the end to unlock it. It went up. There was an easy puzzle where Link sat on a switch while Zelda went ahead and found the other switch to open a door. The next room had more bottomless pits, arms the group went left.
"Wait a second." Link interrupted. "How are there bottomless pits in a tower where there are floors beneath it?"
"Umm... Probably magic."
"That's a stupid reason."
"Well, deal with it- OH MY GOSH RATS KILL THEM ALL."
"Why don't you burn them?"
"THEY WILL HATE ME EVEN MORE!"
"Okay...?" Link killed the rats and found a pirate necklace and a dead end. They went back, yay, and found that the pit room had a design shaped like a Z on it and an eye doorway like the ones in the temples. They also found a path down that lead to a red door.
"What does this do?" Link asked.
"There's a sign." Zelda said. "'The seeker of this key must draw the symbol that sleeps in this room.' Ohhhhh, I get it, it's a Z, and it sleeps, so it's zzzzzzzz sleeping. Clever, ancient architect. You are an oracle."
Link drew a Z with the provided chalk and the door opened. The key inside was normal but it was electrified even though it didn't have a battery or anything to power it...
"Zelda, you're carrying the key. I don't think I can touch that without being electrified."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes."
"Really sure?"
"PICK UP THE KEY."
"Fine, fine."
Zelda grabbed the key, and all hell broke loose.
