( A/N: Reading this makes me want to puke - but really, when this was originally written, the secondary character was intended to be kept a mystery until the drabble's end.. )
"Collected Drabbles"
by JVM-SP150
Kenny's life had never been so downhill. Kelly had died in a plane crash in Costa Rica, Kyle and Stan were on vacation, Cartman was the same asshole. Kenny wanted to kill himself. Of course his gut reminded him he'd come back to life somehow the next day. Kenny was now sitting down on his stoop, wondering, hoping his spirits could be lifted, when she walked by.
"Hey, Kenny," she said, looking at him. Kenny looked at her somewhat blankly. Her brown eyes were so beautiful.
"What's wrong? she said, noticing the frown on his face. Kenny looked away - he did not want her to see the frown. He did not want to see one cross her own beautiful face. "Kenny, tell me what's wrong, please," she said.
Kenny turned and responded. "Kelly's dead. The plane her choir was on crashed in Costa Rica, she had no chance of escape - it crashed straight into the ground - she was killed instantly. We barely ever even kissed..." said Kenny, but now that he had said it all, Kelly wasn't as much of a loss.
"Kenny, I'm so sorry. Kelly, was your girlfriend wasn't she? I never saw much of her..." she said, her silky hair moving in the wind. Kenny longed to touch it. She was beautiful, kind, smart - everything Kenny would want. She could be a great person and was also attractive - it was the best of both Kenny's worlds. But she had been off-limits for so long... I mean, she did have a boyfriend.
"Yeah, she was my girlfriend, But now she's dead. She's dead." said Kenny looking down. Suddenly, he felt more like he was losing a friend than the love of his life. Then he looked forward at the woman before him - she was truly a sight to behold,
Kenny sighed. "What is it?" she asked in her normal concerned voice. "Kenny, what's wrong?" she asked. Kenny couldn't, he wouldn't - she had a boyfriend, she wasn't his. "Kenny, just tell me what's wrong. I want to be your friend, Kenny. I mean, I haven't had anyone to talk to since I broke up with..." she said and suddenly Kenny's eyes lit up, as if he had just been given the green light.
"You."
"What about me?"
"You're a beautiful woman," said Kenny, marveling at her.
"Kenny, I appreciate it, but keep your perverse comments to yourself!"
"No, you're beautiful on the inside too!"
"Yeah?"
"You're smart, you're sexy, you're kind - what aren't you?"
"A whore, an idiot-"
"Exactly my point!"
Kenny then looked down, "Listen, you're pretty, any guy would be lucky to have you, okay? You deserve love and respect. Not like those other guys... they all ignored me!" He looked down again.
She looked at him with a look of caring, of understanding, and it slowly faded to a frown.
"No, please, don't, please don't frown, don't cry, please.."
Her eyes began to water a bit, but she held back, and finally let out a small cry. It was at that moment, Kenny ran forward and hugged her, she wrapped her arms around him and hugged him back. "Kenny," she said, as a finally tear rolled down her cheek - one of joy.
"I love you, Kenny,"
"I love you too, Wendy."
