Rosemary was taking a walk with her sister Margaery in the gardens.
"Tommen, I mean, King Tommen said that?" Rosemary chuckled.
"I think nobody around noticed he's not just a little child anymore. Me included." Margaery replied.
"And he said to you that he was ready to fulfill all his duties as your husband?" Rosemary tried hard not to chuckle again.
"Yes. I was taken by surprise. I mean, I think I just got used to see him as a younger brother, a friend..." Margaery slightly blushed.
"I have to ask you... All this time married to him, you never had feelings for any other man?"
Margaery just shrugged. "What if I did? What good would it bring? I'm married to the King. I never let myself have feelings for another man. In fact, I like Tommen, you know that. Even though I knew he would grow up eventually, somehow I just never really thought about it. Well, not seriously, at least..."
"Well, so, you see yourself married to Tommen for the rest of your life?"
Margaery looked strangely to her sister. "Why wouldn't I? As soon as we consummate it..." She then realised Rosemary meant something else. "You are talking about you, aren't you? Are you still thinking about Robb?"
"No, I didn't mean that." Rosemary quickly replied.
"You did. You can't stop thinking about him. I have to tell you, I don't think I've ever felt anything like that between you and the wolf boy for anyone. So I'm not exactly the best person to give you advice..."
Rosemary smirked. "I don't need advice."
"Do you think that if Robb Stark had accepted father's marriage proposal to marry you in the first place, you two would be so crazy about each other like you are now?"
Rosemary scowled and rolled her eyes. "We are not 'crazy about each other'."
Margaery smiled. "Really? Robb Stark won't marry anyone else because of you. If he wasn't so honorable like a Stark he would probably just kidnap you and run away. To be honest when I heard he had gone to Casterly Rock I thought he had gone just to feed Tyrion to his giant wolf or something..."
"Margaery!" Rosemary rolled her eyes disapproving.
"Really, Robb helping Tyrion on that war just proves how much he loves you."
Rosemary sighed. "Robb shouldn't have gone there."
"I know you can't choose, but if you could right now, knowing already both of them, which one would you choose?"
"I don't know and it doesn't matter. I can't choose. If I had married Robb in the first place it was not because I had chosen to. It was because our father had chosen to. I didn't choose to marry Tyrion, or the Hightower man or Lord Tywin. You didn't choose to marry Tommen. Or Joffrey, or Renly. We, women, don't choose, Margaery. I really did try to do the best I could with what I was given. Fortunately I liked Tyrion and he liked me. But take Lord Tywin for instance, I didn't want to marry Lord Tywin, and the only reason I didn't marry him was because of a plot arranged by our father and the Martells to finish him. Not because I didn't want to."
Margaery chuckled sadly. "You're right. Let me put it this way. If you were still a maiden now waiting to get married I have no doubt that father's first choice would be Robb, not Tyrion."
Rosemary smirked. "Well, I don't know. In father's eyes Tyrion needed to be tamed and controlled, right? And father also needed to secure Casterly Rock to his side. After Lord Tywin was dead, Tyrion ruled in Casterly Rock. Unfortunately marriages are weapons of war too. Politics, when they shouldn't be. I mean, marrying someone else for the rest of your life, having children and raising them... It should be more than politics."
"It should. But that's not the way it is. For now at least."
"So, you and Tommen... when is it happening?" Rosemary asked.
Margaery smirked a little uncomfortable. "I don't know... He's so young..."
"You know that if the marriage is not consummated it can still be undone, right?"
"What do you mean?" Margaery scowled.
"Exactly that."
"So, I should just rush into bed with Tommen to end all doubts?"
"No. On the contrary. I mean, if you're not sure..."
"Rosemary, Tommen is the King and my husband. What's there not be sure about? It would happen eventually."
"You married Tommen because Joffrey was murdered and Renly was murdered before that. We, I mean, our father needed to secure his place here, in King's Landing. So you had to marry the king. Whoever was the King."
Margaery tried to follow her sister's thoughts. "Yes, the King. Politics, like we talked before. I know that. It has to be this way. We can't choose, remember? So why wouldn't I consummate my marriage to Tommen?"
Rosemary sighed. 'Because that only reason is wrong. He isn't, he won't be, the King.' She wanted to say to her sister. Instead she just said. "Please, Margaery, just try to hold it a little bit longer."
"You're not telling me something. What is it?"
Rosemary sighed again. "Please. If you trust me, just wait. Then when the time really comes, you decide."
"For the love of Gods, Rose, what are you talking about? What time?"
"Just trying to give you what I didn't and don't have, the option of choosing." Rosemary declared.
Margaery took a deep breath. "I don't understand, really."
"You will. Please, trust me." Rosemary held her sister's hands.
Margaery sighed. "I do."
Rosemary hugged her. "Thank you."
"I probably won't be able to hold Tommen back for much longer, you know?"
"I think it won't take long anyway."
"You're killing me with all that secrecy."
"Ah there you are!" Loras was breathing hard. "Always finding the most hidden places to talk."
Rosemary giggled at her brother's red face. "What happened?"
"Lannister scouts have reached the gates. Tyrion and Robb Stark will be here by dusk."
Rosemary sighed in relief. "Finally."
Margaery nodded. "Yes, I was already thinking they had taken a shortcut through Dorne or the Wall..."
