Hey guys I know it's been a while but I got caught up in the last couple weeks of school, but now school is out for the next couple of months so I should be updating a lot more frequently and consistently. As always….enjoy
Max POV
I loved my niece, I really did, but she was driving all of us nuts, especially me. Iggy and Nudge were too in love with her to realize that she was just a crying and pooping machine. I swear to god more came out of her than went in. She made craps that could rival Fat Albert and Santa Claus the day after Christmas. They had brought her home a little under a week ago but it really felt like a month. If I was sleep deprived I could only imagine how exhausted Iggy and Nudge were right now. And to think that some people thought that raising children was enjoyable.
"My Where you going?" Nudge asked as I failed at trying to sneak out of the front door.
I cringed when I was caught. "I…am going to go and grab some lunch for everyone," I told her.
"Tacos?" She asked desperately. "Please tell me that you're getting tacos."
I sighed inwardly. Honestly, I had been craving Chinese, but who was I to complain. But then the little girl from the taco commercials reminded me; why not both? "Yes, that's exactly what I was thinking."
"Awesome, now hurry up, I'm hungry as hell," she demanded.
Nudge had gotten more demanding since she had Angel. I guess she didn't have the energy to be polite about anything. No one argued with her either, we just got her whatever she wanted as quickly as possible. Her temper almost rivaled with Ella's and that was saying something.
"Love you too," I said sarcastically. "I'll be right back."
Nudge POV
Ugh, finally Max was out of the house. As much as I loved her….she needed to get out into the outside world again. I don't think she had been outside of this apartment in a couple of weeks. She had gotten so tired of all the American T.V shows reruns that she had gone as far as watching telenovelas. At least we were brushing up on our Spanish. Iggy had suggested Netflix, but I was afraid if we introduced her to Netflix she might never get off that couch and Angel would grow up to think that each couch had a person that came along with them.
"Where's Max?" Iggy asked after walking out of the shower.
"She went to go get lunch," I answered.
"You mean she went willingly?" He said in slight disbelief.
I nodded with a smirk. "I think the constant crying had something to do with it."
"I knew the voice recorder was a good idea."
We had recorded Angel crying and had put it on a loop for hours at a time even though Angel only cried for really when we were trying to go to sleep. Iggy went into Angel's room and turned off the phone. It was funny how Angel was put to sleep by the sound of her own crying.
"I think it's time to get our plan in motion," he suggested.
I only knew a little about The Plan that Ella and Fang had formulated for the last week or so every morning over coffee. All that I really knew was that first; I had to get Max out of the apartment and second; get her to her own house. Something about an 'emergency' with Fang. It was going to take something pretty big just to get Max to step foot in that house again.
"Let's do this."
Max POV
My phone was going nuts. I think everyone but Fang had called or texted me at least once. I wasn't picking up because I was driving, but after Iggy called me for the fourth time I swerved to the shoulder of the rode and picked up the phone.
"What the fuck is wrong?" I demanded. This better be good because I was looking forward to eating my orange chicken.
"It's Fang," he said.
My heart skipped a couple of beats, making me glad that I had decided to pull over to take this call. "What? What happened?"
"He locked himself in your art room and he refuses to come out," Iggy explained.
I rolled my eyes. It sounded like the temper tantrums that I used to have when I was little where I would climb up into my tree house, pull up my ladder. Usually it only lasted a couple hours until my parents bribed me down with my favorite chocolate chip cookies. Although I think I lasted an entire night when I was ten years old and they wouldn't let me spend the night at a friends house (later I found out that her older brother was a known drug dealer).
"So what's the big deal?" I asked. "you know I used to do stuff like that all the time.
"This is different," Iggy argued. "We don't know if he's going to do something bad."
"Well, has he said anything?"
"He refuses to talk to anyone but you, said he won't open the door until he hears your voice," he told me. "And he said…"
"What?" I demanded. "What else did he say?"
"Fang said that he can't live anymore if you don't forgive him."
I took a deep breath in and let it out before I answered him. "Do you really think that he'll do it?"
"He has a gun in there with him."
Where the hell did Fang get a gun?
I shifted the car into drive and spun a U-turn. "I'll be there as soon as possible."
I hope you guys liked it! I should have another chapter posted up by Saturday or Sunday.
