Oh, and for some reason, when I was writing this chapter, I kept on hearing the song; Photograph by Ed Sheeran in my head whilst writing. I have no idea why... but it's a good song though.
I do not own "The Originals" only my Oc.

Marry Me
"Amy, listen to me. You told me once that you never wanted to have that big fancy wedding with a lot of guests and all that attention. You said all you wanted was that our daughter was back with us and that's all you'll ever need. Well, guess what; Hope is here with us now. She's asleep in the backseat and all you have to do, is say yes. Just like your mother." Nik said, cupping my face.
"So. What do you say, Little wolf?"
...
Yes… what would I say?
Present time
Nik, Hope and I drove over the Louisiana State line the morning of Hayley's wedding. It felt strange being back here, even though it's only been about a week since I left but this homecoming is different. This time, Hope is with us and she had just woken up, smiling away as she always does.
I don't know why, but I feel guilty for not answering her calls at all. Hayley is my sister, and she needs me today. That's for sure. She's marrying Jackson and I need to be supportive, even though she doesn't deserve it.
As we arrived closer to New Orleans, I looked over at the man of my dreams, taking in his features. His strong muscular arms, his lean body, his curly blonde hair and his oh, so gorgeous smile. I know that Nik is dangerous and a killer, but I love him. Good God, I love him.
"Where's your head at?" Nik asked me and brought me out of my daydream. I smiled at him and reached over to caress his face.
"All over the place, I guess. I'm a little nervous for Hayley's wedding tonight." I said honestly. "I don't want to ruin her day with our bitching and fighting."
Nik couldn't help but laughing at me by the way I was acting. He grabbed my hand and kissed it tenderly, not commenting on what I just said.
"You are adorable but as we all know, we need to bring down this scenario as soon as possible and concentrate on the things that's most important." Nik said, getting serious all at once and I knew he was right.
"I know, Nik. I know what needs to be done." I said letting out a sigh. Hope let out a squeal to try mimicking my actions and it made me laugh a little. She is really, one of a kind. I jumped into the backseat so I could sit and look at my daughter as I felt the Bayou was getting closer. Hope reached out her hand to me and I forgot everything about my surroundings. I noticed in the back of my mind that Nik was talking on the phone but Hope occupied me from that conversation.
I never wanted to be apart from her ever again. She makes my life complete and I would do anything for her. I press my forehead against hers and just savior the moment. Nothing could be this perfect. All though, something else comes to mind. Just then, the car stopped and I couldn't understand why.
"Why are we stopping?" I asked, looking around. "And why are we in the Bayou?"
Nik jumped out of the car with a huge grin on his face.
"I have some important business to attend to. Someone that I need to make some sense into." He said, as he took out one of my bags and emptied it all over the trunk. I growled at him for that. It was so uncalled for and he made a huge mess for me to clean up later.
"How long will you be gone?" I asked, trying not to get caught up with the mess he made.
"Not too long, just give me about thirty minutes and I'll be done. If you do not wish to stay here and wait for me, you can return to New Orleans with our daughter and I will catch up with you later." Nik told me as he leaned on the car window. I moved closer to him, just to keep him near.
"Ok, I will give you 20 minutes but if you're not back here by then, I will leave without you and bring Hope back to New Orleans without you." I said, because I knew that Nik wanted to be with us when we finally brought Hope back home.
"Deal." Nik agreed and kissed me through the window for a second; He looked down at my locket and touched it tenderly.
"No regrets, right?" He asked, looking into my eyes.
"Not in a million years." I whispered before he vanished from my sight. Hope made a little whimper, because she didn't want her daddy to disappear like that. I turned towards my daughter again and tried my best to sooth her.
"Hey there, precious little girl. Your daddy will be back soon, don't worry." I said in a soft voice and reached out to touch her cheek. Hope reached out for my finger and squeezed it tightly.
"You are my light, beautiful girl. I will never let you go again." I said, closing my hand over my locket. I closed my eyes and relived the best days of my life.
Third person p.o.v
Earlier that morning in New Orleans, Josh still felt a little famished after the lock down at the compound. He felt bad about Aidan and the fact that he tried to attack him when he was hungry. Josh had stayed with Davina for the last few days and it was the one place he could try to get better. She had even shared the secret about Hope and Davina made sure that Josh wasn't able to speak of this secret with anyone else.
"So, you're telling me that Amy's baby has been alive all this time and no one ever knew?" Josh asked as he tried to shake the feeling of being hungry off him.
"Yeah. Amy and Klaus had to keep her hidden so they could keep her out of harm's way. Amy has been a mess because she knew that her daughter was alive and yet, she couldn't be with her." Davina answered sadly.
"Wow that must suck, for Amy I mean. No one deserves to go through anything like that." Josh said and rubbed his temple. Davina gave him a sympathetic smile and put her hand on his shoulder and at the same time made sure that he wouldn't remember what she had just told him, if anyone would ask.
"Well, you still don't look so good." Davina said with a sad smile.
"It's worse than the Halloween hangover from 2011." Josh answered, making Davina laugh a little. "I went after Aidan, didn't I?"
"You know, he was up all day and all night with you until Marcel called and said the spell was broken." Davina told Josh to get him in a better mood.
"You guys totally saved my ass." Josh said with a smile before being interrupted.
"Well don't mention it." Aron said, making himself known. He felt like crap after the spell Finn cursed him with, but he didn't want to show Davina his pain.
"This is your to go – juice." Aron said. Which mean ta you should be going." Aron said a little tiredly. Josh only smiled and gave Davina a hug. They knew they would see each other later.
"So where have you been for the last few days?" Davina asked Aron with a frown on his face.
"Oh, you know. Saving the day as usual." Aron answered.
"Oh, so you don't think I could help?" Davina shot back at him.
"I suppose you could."
"So you couldn't call me? It takes ten seconds." Davina told him, eying him with a grin on her face and she made Aron laugh.
"I'm sensing we're having a lover's spat." Aron said with a snicker. "It's almost as if we're, what's the fraise? Going steady."
"You wish." Davina said with a blush.
"Maybe and maybe I can make it up to you by finishing a mystical dagger." Aron said locking eyes with Davina. "What do you say?"
What Aron didn't tell Davina, was the fact that Finn had put a deadly spell on him.
Out in the Bayou, Aidan and Jackson gave the dead wolves from the vampire attack, a proper funeral. Some vampires attacked them just right after they were freed from the lockdown. Now, they had to say goodbye to some of the wolves that they considered as their own.
"All those alphas dead. That's a lot of wolves that's going to want revenge." Aiden said, looking at the burning boats.
"We'll make it clear that the witches are behind it. The vampires were manipulated by dark magic, this wasn't their fault." Jackson said, letting out a sigh.
"Gentlemen." The two wolves heard a voice say behind them and made them turn around to face Klaus Mikaelson. Klaus smirked and threw a bag onto the ground in front of them, covered in blood.
"I come bearing gifts." Klaus told them, gesturing to the bag in front of them.
"What the hell did you do?" Jackson asked.
"I removed the heads of the wolf leaders who refused to relinquish Finn's moonlight rings." Klaus answered with a grin on his face.
"You brought me a bag of werewolf-heads." Jackson stated.
"Why, I'd hope you'll see it as an early wedding present. Besides, I can't have witch-sympathizers in my army." Klaus told him.
"The wolves are not now, nor ever will be your army." Jackson said as he tried to stand up to Klaus, who only smirked at his attempt.
"You know, you are a brave and selfless leader, Jackson and I'm positive you'll remain so for the entire adoration of your reign. Festivities begins at eight at my compound. Spread the word and do me a favor: Clean yourself up. It's your wedding day for God's sake." Klaus said and turned away from the two wolves. Jackson hated him but he knew that he had some information about Hayley's younger sister.
"Klaus!" He called, making the Original Hybrid to turn and look at him. "I know that you have a close eye on Amy and I would really like it if you could tell her that Amy's doing ok." Jackson pleaded but all Klaus did, was smirking.
"Well see, shall we?" Klaus asked smugly before speeding back towards Amy and Hope.
Back at a morgue in Arkansas, Freya Mikaelson walked through the halls unnoticed. She walked into the room that contained her diseased younger brother, Finn. She opened his bag and noticed how bad he looked with his features all messed up. Freya carefully placed her hands on Finn's chest and started chanting. She did this for some time, determent to wake him. She poured salt and blood all over Finn as she focused on bringing him back to her. At the same time, Aron and Davina tried their best to create a dagger to immobilize Klaus and Freya thought that she should help them with everything they had. Freya helped them with the magic she knew that they needed.
Without any warning, Finn woke up, gasping for air.
At the same time, Aron and Davina felt the same kind of magic through their veins and dropped the dagger to the floor in surprise.
"I think it worked." Aron stated as Davina picked it up. Davina couldn't help but feeling torn because of what it would do to Amy when they did this to Klaus. She would lose it for sure when Klaus was finally gone and Davina feared that she might have to do something to the one person she truly felt as if she was a motherly figure, only to keep her away from all the hurting she would experience.
Aron could see Davina's expression and kissed her on impulse. Davina kissed him back eagerly and it completely screwed with her mind. But no matter what she tried to think about, kissing Aron was the most important thing. Without any warning, Aron shot away from her as his nose started to bleed.
"Are you're all right?" Davina asked and Aron tried to pretend as if nothing was happening.
"I'm fine. A spell like that takes its toll, doesn't it?" Aron asks, looking at the improved dagger. "You hide that for now, ok? Because today we got a reason to celebrate. Come to the wedding with me."
"Fine, but if there's music, we're dancing." Davina said with a smirk before leaving Aron behind for now.
Amy's p.o.v
I sat with Hope in our car, soothing her and hoped that she understood that Nik was coming back soon. It's remarkable how much more she feels us around her. Hope looked at me with her adorable eyes and I couldn't help but hold her in my embrace. I put her on my lap and she instantly snuggled against me, seeking comfort. I kissed her head and reached for the family album I had stored away in Hope's bag. I flipped it open to the first picture and it was the first picture my mother had taken with my father and me.
I was only 8 weeks old and my father was sitting on the porch swing feeding me a bottle. The inscription said;
Grayson and little Amy Christine. The most precious father/daughter moment ever made in history.
"Now, Hope. This is your grandfather, one of who you should be proud of." I told my daughter, running my hand over the picture.
"Always remember that grandpa would've loved you with all his heart and that he would have spoiled you rotten." I told her and she just looked up at me with the famous Mikaelson grin on her face.
We watched the pictures together and I wondered if Hope understood the meaning of them. My daughter closed her eyes and moved closer to me. All she wanted right now was her father back. I tried to get her mind away from the same thought I had but at the same time, Nik came back to us, making me jump and scream bloody murder.
"I'm sorry for scarring you, love. I promise it won't happen again." He told me as he cupped my face. It made me a bit calmer and relaxed, knowing he was back.
"It's ok, Nik. I'm just glad that you're back." I answered as Nik drove the car away from the Bayou.
We arrived back at the compound in good time and I was glad to be home. The only thing stopping me was Elijah freaking out, and that's the last thing that I want. Nik ordered me to stay behind, so that he could explain things a little. I had Hope with me and that made me calmer. Nik parked the car and turned to look at me.
"So, now I have to meet everyone and I wish that you stay behind with our daughter until I figure everything out." Nik asked me. I nodded and agreed with him. I knew he had to introduce Hope quietly and not show her off right away. Nik kissed me once with a huge smile on his face. I was nervous about seeing everyone again, and I wondered what they would say when they finally met Hope, if they would be angry with me.
I walked upstairs from the garage, keeping my distance from everyone else, I got a glance at the scenery for the upcoming wedding, and it looked gorgeous. Hope made huge eyes at everything happening in front of her. She tried to keep check on everything and I couldn't help but laugh. With my Hybrid-hearing, I could tell that Hayley and Jackson were close and I was only getting more nervous.
"Oh, I so do not belong in your world." Jackson said as he looked around at the crew getting their wedding ready.
"My world?" Hayley asked, raising her eyebrow. "Give me some credit. I'm not exactly the kind of girl sitting around fantasizing about her wedding day and if I had, it probably would have looked like a little less than this."
"Yeah… Are you getting cold feet?" Jackson asked her.
"No. This is what's right. For Hope, for our pack and maybe by doing this, Amy would finally talk to me again." Hayley answered sadly and it made me feel bad. She was really trying to make things better between us and I had to find it in me to forgive her. I had to, for my daughter.
"Hayley. If I might intrude, there's someone who wishes to say hello." Nik said, approaching the bride and groom. This caught the attention of both Elijah, Rebekah, Camille and Kol. They all followed Hayley and that's when I stepped forward with my daughter. Hayley made huge eyes when she finally saw us. Everyone else was staring at us with different kinds of emotions on their faces.
Cami looked relieved to see that everything was ok with us after we just left her outside the burning farm. Kol only stood there smirking, knowing very well how things was. Rebekah looked calmer somehow. She was glad to see that we were safe and she was so glad to finally seeing Hope again.
The one I was dreading to look directly at, was Elijah. Seeing him standing there, knowing what he did in order to keep Hope safe. That was almost too much for me to handle. I owed him so much and I would never be able to repay him ever.
"You brought her here?" Hayley asked in disbelief. "Finn could be anywhere."
"We have taken precautions. There will be no uninvited guests at your wedding, and after your pack will be the first line of defense to this home and Amy wanted Hope to come back." Nik answered and I agreed.
"No more running. I am tired of all the running. I want the family to stay together today of all days." I said shifting Hope to rest her on my hip. Nik looked back at me with a huge grin on face and I knew why.
"I have some things to take care of and I'll see you later." Nik said, kissing my forehead. He left us right after that, leaving me to introduce Hope to Jackson.
"Jackson, this is my daughter, Hope. And Hope, this is Jackson. Your uncle to be." I said and Hope grabbed onto Jackson's finger, letting out a squeal, making us all laugh. Rebekah took Hope out of my arms before I could even register it happening but I didn't object. She had missed her terribly and I knew that Rebekah needed to feel Hope close to her.
"I have missed you pretty girl." Rebekah whispered in her ear, making me tear up a little and feeling a little guilty for keeping them away from each other. Rebekah convinced me to hold onto Hope for a little while so that I could have a talk with my sister before the wedding. We walked back to my room, to get some privacy.
Hayley sat down on my bed as I packed out of my bags, both Hope's clothes and mine.
"Amy… I want you to know that I'm really sorry about everything. If I could change things, I would." Hayley started to say but I stopped her.
"I know, Hayley. I know that you're sorry but it's mostly my fault… I didn't have to turn you into a hybrid. I didn't have to tell you about Hope and letting you see her." I answered.
"Yeah, I know. But it doesn't mean that I feel less guilty. I really don't know what to do anymore. I want to protect you and Hope but…" Hayley said and I understood where she was coming from. Therefore, I did the only thing I could think of and hugged her tightly.
"I forgive you, Hayley. At least right now. You're getting married today. You should only worry about that." I told her and Hayley let out a teary laugh.
"So, where are your wedding dress?" I asked, looking around the room in search of her dress.
"Uhm… I was kind of hoping you might have a dress nearby." Hayley answered looking at me with hope in her eyes and it made me groan.
"Hayley Andrea Labonair! Are you telling me that you don't have a wedding dress yet? Hayley, you're getting married in a few hours!" I exclaimed, running my hands through my hair.
"I'm sorry! My mind was a little bit occupied with you going AWOL and everything else going wrong around here." Hayley answered with a high voice. I could see it in my sister's eyes. There was something else bothering her and I knew what it was.
"It's about Kol, isn't it?" I asked carefully. "You are in love with him, aren't you?"
"I don't know what you're talking about." Hayley said at first but I didn't believe her.
"Hayley…"
"Is it possible to love to people at the time?" Hayley asked me and I knew the answer to that.
"Yes, it's highly possible to love two at the same time but you have to figure out who you love the most before the ceremony. Otherwise, you'll never find the happiness you've always wanted." I told her and she nodded, taking my words in.
"I want to marry Jackson." She told me quietly and I made an effort to believe her.
"Ok then. Let's find you a wedding dress." I said, opening my closet. We searched my closet for what felt like hours and we came up with nothing. I was actually starting to lose hope of finding the perfect dress.
"How is it possible that you don't have a dress that's fit for a wedding?" Hayley complained and I just rolled my eyes.
"How is it possible that you haven't picked out a wedding dress before the last minute?" I argued back, knowing that it wouldn't take us anywhere. As if sent from God himself, Rebekah appeared at the entrance of my room with Hope on her hip. I could feel my smile growing even more. My daughter was here.
"Ok. Bad news first. I have to miss your ceremony. Aron has a bit of a life and death matter and he needs help dealing with." Rebekah told us.
"Anything we can do to help, Rebekah?" I asked worriedly.
"It's witch business. Which now seems to be my thing." Rebekah answered us. "Besides, you two have enough to deal with. Hayley's getting married and Amy planning a wedding. On that note."
Rebekah pulled out a lovely white dress. It was stunning and I wished I could have something like that.
"It's white, which wouldn't fool anyone. But your sister can't get married in skinny jeans and combat boots." Rebekah said to me as she handed Hayley the dress.
"Rebekah… Thank you. It's beautiful." Hayley said, eyeing herself in the mirror.
"I happen to be the only woman alive who has committed wedding dresses in five different centuries and never made it down the aisle, of course." Rebekah told us and I had to giggle.
"Well, you know it's not too late. From what I understand, Marcel is still single. Have you even told him yet that you're you?" I asked as Rebekah handed me my daughter.
"I thought I hold on of that for the moment. It only complicates matters and I'm not exactly sure how long this is going to last." Rebekah answered with a sigh.
"However, I am sorry I have to leave you here, and I want more than anything to be here with the most precious girl ever, but duty calls. At least I have yours and Nik's wedding to look forward too." Rebekah said, hugging me. All I could do was laugh a little and then feel guilty. Rebekah left the room after that and both Hayley and I drooled over my sister's wedding dress. We decided to get ready together.
Third person p.o.v
Klaus left Amy and Hope for them to have some time with the others, because he needed some time for himself. He stood in his study, pouring himself a drink as Elijah walked into the room.
"I thought your daughter's return would please you." Elijah said with anger in his voice and it made Klaus sigh with annoyance.
"I am overjoyed and I'll be even more so, provided that either you or Kol persuade Hayley from going through with this. By that, I mean persuade Amy into talking to her.
"Is there something to wish to discuss, Niklaus?" Elijah asked.
"Everybody knows that you're in love with Amy and Kol in love with Hayley. But both Hayley and Amy has a duty to this family and so do you two." Klaus answered.
"I was under the impression that this was Hayley's choice. Tell me you did nothing to bully this decision." Elijah said, ignoring the fact that Klaus was telling the truth.
"We're mobilizing an army. Hayley will do what is asked of her and Kol will do nothing to prevent that. As for Amy, it's time you let that go. She will never go for you." Klaus told him with a spiteful voice. It was hard for Klaus to know that Elijah had feelings for Amy and that he wanted her for himself.
"Yes, brother… I understand that. But if I learn that Hayley was pressured in any way, to sacrifice her freedom in the name of some political alliance…" Elijah started but Klaus cut him off.
"Hayley is putting family first because Amy expects that of her. I suggest you and our brother do the same." Klaus said, looking at his older brother.
"Family is always first."
"Well then, we won't have a problem, will we?" Klaus asked with a smirk on his face before leaving Elijah behind.
Rebekah finally reached the cemetery to help Aron out as much as she could. She wanted to help her eldest brother out but she didn't want anyone else to get hurt.
"What do you want, Aron?" Rebekah started.
"Do you really want to find that out?" Aron asked.
Rebekah shook her head and agreed to help Aron. They started chanting together but something was stopping Aron to do his thing, making him frustrated.
"I can't do this anymore, Aron. I've tried my best." Rebekah said, not liking that she had to give up. Aron looked defeated and collapsed on a chair.
"There's nothing to do. I am going to die once again and there's nothing to do about it." Aron said finally realizing the truth.
"So you're giving up? What happened to the brother I learned about in the stories Finn and our mother taught us? Would you laugh death in the face?" Rebekah asked.
"It's a lot easier to do when you haven't died already once. I hated it the first time as a little boy, I hate the thought of having to go through it one more time." Aron said, wiping the remaining blood under his nose.
Kol was feeling anxious and entered Hayley's bedroom, finding Hayley all dressed up for the ceremony. He looked at Hayley with pure adoration and hated the fact that he would never get her.
"You look perfect." Kol said and the silence that followed was devastating. "Hayley, I understand the importance of this allegiance and I would do nothing to persuade you but I would regret if I didn't tell you once…"
"Don't! Don't say it. From the first day that I met you, I have felt everything for you. And all this time, you've never been able to say how you feel about me, and I get it. You can't be the guy who says how he feels. But Jackson is, and I think that I can be happy with him. And I just want you to be happy, Kol. So whatever you were going to say to me, please don't say it." Hayley said and it ripped her heart apart, knowing about Kol's feelings for her.
Amy's p.o.v
Hayley left for her own room after we'd finished our hair and makeup. Hayley looked amazing and I wanted to look good too. I had put on a beautiful pink and green dress. I almost looked like a rose garden wearing that dress, but I loved it. It was one of Nik's favorite dresses. I touched my locket again and thought about the day we had yesterday and it only made me smile more. It was the perfect day.
I had just finished dressing Hope and she looked so happy, I never wanted her happiness to end.
"Hey baby girl. You are the most precious thing I will ever have, Now, I have to attend your Auntie Hayley's wedding but afterwards, I will hold you close and never let go. I promise." I told her and Hope threw her things around us. I couldn't help but laugh. I could hear footsteps close by, looked up, and saw Elijah standing there. We just looked at each other for a while; Elijah had most of his attention towards Hope.
"Hey…" I said with a smile. Elijah looked me up and down with adoration on his face.
"You look absolutely beautiful." Elijah told me and I blushed.
"Thank you, but you should see the bride though. She's even more perfect." I said with a laugh. Elijah just shook his head and walked closer to me. I tried my best not to seem affected. "I owe you a lot of gratitude for what you did for the two of us, Elijah. If you hadn't done what you did, who knows what might have happened."
Elijah stood close to me, carefully caressed my face with his hand, making me shiver. I knew I had to be honest with him and tell him the truth, but I didn't want him to know the truth like this. Elijah still cupped my face gently and slowly leaned against my lips. I shook my head to have it back in the game and pushed Elijah back.
"You can't do this to me, Elijah," I pleaded as I fiddled with my clothes. "It's not fair to me, or to Hope and Nik."
"Why? Why not give me a chance to show you what you mean to me?" Elijah whispered with tears in his eyes.
"Elijah, I'm begging you, please don't do this." I begged but he kept on pushing.
"Why? Just tell me why?" Elijah pressed and I just snapped.
"Because I'm married to your brother!" I told him, making him stop dead in his tracks.
"What?" Elijah asked in shock.
"I married Nik on our way back to New Orleans." I said with a low voice.
Flashback
"Amy, listen to me. You told me once that you never wanted to have that big fancy wedding with a lot of guests and all that attention. You said all you wanted was that our daughter was back with us and that's all you'll ever need. Well, guess what; Hope is here with us now. She's asleep in the backseat and all you have to do, is say yes. Just like your mother." Nik said, cupping my face.
"So. What do you say, Little wolf?"
...
Yes… what would I say? My mind was spinning, Nik was all I ever wanted and he had a point. Hope was here with us and I always wanted to have a quiet wedding without any stress.
"Amy, you haven't said anything for a few minutes." Nik brought me out of my thoughts. "And I really need you to say something."
I looked over at Nik and for the first time, he looked worried. Worried that I would say no. I smiled a little and then I leaned over and kissed him passionately.
"I think I want to marry you in the morning." I whispered close to his lips. I could hear Nik growling before connecting our lips again. This is what I wanted, this man, becoming his wife.
"I love you, Amy." Nik told me and he looked genuinely happy.
"I love you too, Nik. Always and forever." I said resting my forehead against his. After some time, Nik started to drive towards Louisiana on a mission to find the chapel. We reached the little town by midday the next morning. I wasn't even nervous, I wanted this almost as much as I wanted Hope.
"I have to find a dress." I said as I hopped out of the car. "I can't get married in slacks." Nik only laughed and gave me a kiss.
"Why don't you take our daughter and go find something to wear and I will go to the chapel and talk to the priest." Nik suggested and I agreed.
"See you later, almost-husband of mine." I said wrapping my arms around his waist.
"See you soon, little wolf." Nik said before jumping into the car again. I took Hope out of the car and placed her in her stroller. We watched as Nik drove off and I finally got a look around in this adorable little town.
I walked past a florist and an adorable little coffee shop where an elderly woman cleaned some tables.
"Excuse me, ma'am." I said politely. She turned towards me and had a friendly smile on her face.
"What can I do for you, Sweetheart?" She asked with a thick southern accent.
"I was wondering if you could point me to the direction of a shop where I can get a nice dress for my daughter and me." I asked gesturing to Hope in the stroller.
"My, my, my! What a beautiful baby girl you have there. What's her name?" The woman asked.
"Her name is Hope." I said proudly.
"Well, that name fits her perfectly. If you need any dresses, you should definitely go to 'Barbs' down on the corner. She has the most beautiful dresses in the world."
"All right, thank you so much for your help." I said before walking down the street towards the shop. That woman was right. From the minute I walked through the doors, I immediately fell in love with the shop. It was a vintage shop with beautiful gowns from the 40's and 50's.
I found the aisle with the vintage wedding dresses and they were so beautiful, and I didn't know which one I would go for.
"May I help you?" A woman with a nice smile and nice, warm eyes walked up to us.
"Yeah, I need a simple, yet beautiful wedding dress for me and a nice dress for my daughter." I answered and the woman beamed at me.
"Oh! How wonderful! I think I have a few dresses you can try on and for your daughter to try on." The woman I suspected to be Barb told me as she looked through the wedding dresses.
"So, when is the wedding?" She asked to make conversation.
"Uhm, tonight actually. My boyfriend and I decided to elope, because we couldn't handle the pressure from our families." I answered and it wasn't a lie in theory.
"You know what, I totally understand you. I did the same thing when I was your age, and now, Paul and I have been married for almost 40 years." Barb said with a dreamy look in her eyes.
"Wow, that's amazing." I told her honestly, I couldn't help but think what kind of marriage Nik, and I would have 40 years from now. Barb showed me dress after dress, but nothing really said 'this is The dress' and I was starting to lose hope of finding the perfect wedding dress of my dreams.
"I have one more dress I would like for you to try on." Barb told me and ran into the back room. She can back shortly after, with a bag in her arms.
"I have actually waited for the right person to come along to buy this dress, and something tells me that you're it." Barb said and opened the bag. The sight made me gasp the dress was stunningly beautiful. The dress was an off-white kind of dress with floral laces. The back portion of the dress is transparent and decorated with floral laces. I run my hand through the fabric and it felt so nice in my hands.
"Would you like to try it?" Barb asked and I couldn't get dressed quickly enough. Barb helped me getting it on and it fit perfectly. It was as if it was made for me. I around in the mirror to see every angle of it. I wanted this one, no doubt about it.
I turned to Barb and she stood there with tears in her eyes.
"You look so beautiful my dear. It's like looking in a mirror." Barb told me and I couldn't understand what she was saying. "I wore this dress to my wedding and I am so happy to see someone wearing it again."
My face dropped, looking down at the dress.
"I can't buy this. This is your wedding dress, I can find something else." I said starting to pull on the zipper but Barb stopped me.
"Listen to me, sweetheart. I want you to have it. I want it to be used again and I only had sons and none of their wives was right for it. Think of it as your something old, and for something you can pass down to your daughter someday." Barb told me and my eyes teared up. This woman didn't even know me and she still showed me such kindness. I don't know what came over me but I hugged her, thanking her for the dress.
We found a cute dress for Hope as well and Barb couldn't stop fuzzing over how cute she looked in it.
"So, where are you getting married?" Barb asked me.
"Well, there's a little chapel just outside town where my parent renewed their wedding vows when I was 14 and now I get to do the same." I told her and Barb looked overjoyed.
"That's my husband's chapel. He is the minister there." Barb said and all I could think about was how small the world really is.
"Wow. Small world." I exhaled. "Then maybe I will see you there later today?"
"Yeah, maybe."
I paid for the dresses and said my goodbyes. I made sure that I would at least have some kind of bouquet and made sure that was in order as I waited for Nik to return.
He returned only few minutes later but he didn't get to see the dress, even though he wanted too.
"I can't believe we are doing this." I said as we drove towards the chapel. Fortunately, they had rooms for us to change in so there was no way Nik could peek at the dress. Nik grabbed my hand and brought it up to his lips.
"I feel like the luckiest man in the world." He whispered and it made my knees go weak. I am so glad I'm sitting down right now. Hope made herself known, squealing to let us know she was lucky as well. I couldn't help but laugh at that.
When we arrived at the chapel, it all came rushing back to me. I remembered every little detail of how it looked. When we got into the front hall, there was these photographs on the wall, from earlier weddings and as sent from God, I found the pictures of my parents when they got married here. I looked at it in awe and Nik followed my line of sight.
"They look so happy here, love." Nik said, rubbing my shoulders.
"I like to think they were." I whispered, it was all that would come out. The minister, Paul, came out of his office to greet us and to show us where to get dressed. I grabbed Hope with me because it was easier for me to get her dressed.
As I got dressed, I started to think on how mad Rebekah and Caroline would be when they figure out that Nik and I got married behind their backs, but then we could just have another ceremony with our friends and families in a few years' time. I wanted to do this now. I am ready. There was a knock on my door, making me look up to see Barb standing there with my bouquet in her hands.
"Wow. Amy, you look so beautiful. This was really the dress for you and I have to say, good job on the groom, he is gorgeous." Barb smirked and I couldn't help but laugh.
"Thank you, I guess." I said, fiddling with my hands, suddenly a little nervous.
"Is everything all right?" Barb asked me and I gave her a nod.
"I had always pictured that my dad would be here to walk me down the aisle but he never got the chance. He passed away a few years ago." I said trying not to cry.
"Oh, honey. He's watching you and he's right with you. In here." Barb said pointing at my heart and I knew she was right.
"Let's get you married, ok?" Barb said and I only nodded, not finding my words. I grabbed Hope and gave her to Barb. She would walk in with her first, giving her to Nik as I walked down the aisle alone. Hope didn't understand why I wouldn't follow her and started to cry but it stopped at the moment she saw her father. For some reason, I looked up to the ceiling.
"I love you mom and dad." I whispered before walking through the doors of the chapel. The moment I saw Nik, his entire posture changed. He looked as if he had fallen from the sky and he looked so handsome in his suit, making my knees wobble. I'm telling you… there's nothing sexier in this world. Nik held onto our daughter as a lifeline when I walked towards him. We've been waiting for this moment for so long and now we could finally become husband and wife.
When I finally reached him, Nik held out his hand for me to take. I felt a jolt of electricity going through me when we finally touched.
"You are the most beautiful creature I have ever seen," Nik whispered for only me to hear.
"I love you." I whispered back.
The minister started talking but I didn't listen to what he said, my eyes were glued on Nik.
I know we both said 'I do' at some point but it was all in a blur.
"And now for the change of vows and rings." The minister said and that's when it dawned on me. We didn't think about the rings. We didn't have any.
"Nik, we forgot about the rings." I whispered to him but Nik only smiled. Out of his inner pocket, he took out two beautiful wedding rings. The sight alone made me gasp. He gave the biggest one to me and kept the other for himself.
"Amy, you can say your vows now." The minister said and I took a deep breath before turning to Nik again.
"My dear, loving, stubborn and out of control but loveable, Nik.
I believe in you, the person you will grow to be and the couple we will be together.
With my whole heart, I take you as my husband, acknowledging and accepting your faults and strengths, as you do mine.
I promise to be faithful and supportive and to always make our family's love and happiness my priority. I will be yours in plenty and in want, in sickness and in health, in failure and in triumph. I will dream with you, celebrate with you and walk beside you through whatever our lives may bring. You are my person—my love and my life, today and always. You have been my best friend, mentor, playmate, confidant and my greatest challenge. But most importantly, you are the love of my life and you make me happier than I could ever imagine and more loved than I ever thought possible... You have made me a better person, as our love for one another is reflected in the way I live my life. So I am truly blessed to be a part of your life, which as of today becomes our life together with our unique and one of a kind daughter.
I'll always love you, Nik." I said with tears in my eyes and placed the ring on his finger. I could tell he was battling his own tears right about now. He then took a deep breath before talking.
"Amy, I promise to always leave the lights on in the bathroom, so that you'll never have to walk into the doorframe again.
I promise to mysteriously use three hours to make a simple breakfast, just because I want it to be perfect.
I promise to create a life for us of unexpected and strange adventures
I promise that I will love you until the end of time.
I pledge to listen to your advice, and occasionally take it, even though I know that you're right 99 % of the time.
I pledge to never take score… even if I'm totally winning
I pledge to always admire your huge, strong, kind and determined heart and making me find my own.
I pledge that I will love you until the end of time.
I vow to listen, for as long as it takes for you to feel heard
I vow to watch in awe as you kick ass and take names
I vow to be your unrelenting cheer squad on the days it feels too much
I vow that I will love you until the end of time.
I believe that 'me time' is an actual concept, that can be proven by science
I believe that you'll always have a caring heart and soul.
I believe there is no time or place I'm more content than when you and our daughter is close by.
Because of this and so, so much more… I believe that I will always love you… until the end of time."
I had lost the battle with my tears as Nik placed the ring on my finger. What he said was so beautiful and true. Nik gave me his wicked grin before speaking again.
"I want you to know, Amy… I made your wedding ring by melting your parent's wedding bands and making it into your very own. I know that it's something they would have wanted." When Nik told me that, I was full on crying. He surprised me all the time and this was the best thing he could ever do.
"I love you so much." I said before kissing him.
"Well, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You can keep on kissing your bride." The minister said but we didn't register it at all. We broke apart after a few minutes, resting our foreheads together.
"I love you, Niklaus Mikaelson." I said out of breath.
"I love you too, Amy Christine Mikaelson." Nik responded and at the same time, Hope made a lot of noise. She had to make sure we would remember her.
Nik and I laughed and held Hope in between us. This had to be one of the best days of my life and I am so lucky to finally marry the man of my dreams.
End of flashback.
As I told Elijah some parts of what happened yesterday, I took off my locket and took my wedding ring off the chain. I placed it back on my finger before looking back up at Elijah.
"Elijah, I know this came as a shock for you, but trust me when I say that you will find someone else to love and sometimes, I wish that I could be that girl for you but I'm not. I was never yours to begin with. It was always going to be Nik." I told him as I watched as finally let his tears fall.
"You will always be a dear friend to me and I will always love you. And I couldn't be luckier to have you as one of Hope's uncles. I am the happiest Hybrid in the world and I don't want to lose you from my life, Elijah." I said trying not to cry. Elijah could see how hard it all was for me. He understood the torment I was feeling, not wanting to hurt anyone. Elijah did the only thing he could think of and hugged me tightly.
"You can always count on me as a friend." Elijah whispered in my ear. "Always and forever."
I held onto him for dear life but after my marriage with Nik, my so-called feelings for Elijah was gone. It's as if something happened in the moment I said I do.
Elijah kissed my forehead, congratulated me with my marriage and then he left the room.
It was about time for Hayley and Jackson's wedding, and it made me think back on my own wedding yesterday. I kept reliving how Nik lifted me up bridal style and walked over the threshold of our motel room for the night. How happy Hope had been, laughing and entertaining us with her noises. The way we would steal kissing during the night, not wanting to have sex with Hope in the same room. I walked over to my closet, looking at the wedding dress. It all seemed like a haze. Like it didn't happen at all. All these thoughts ran through my head as I felt a pair of arms wrap themselves around my waist.
"Are you looking back at the day we had yesterday?" Nik asked whispering in my ear.
"Yes, it is too hard to believe. It was so perfect." I answered him.
"But it did happen. We said our vows in the same chapel as your parents renewed their vows and we danced the night away…" I couldn't help myself and turned around on the spot kissing him senseless. Nik responded to my eagerness and kissed me back fiercely.
We broke apart when we heard Hayley and Jackson approaching. It was soon time to go and Nik grabbed me by the hand to have me close. That's when he noticed me wearing my ring.
"I thought you said you wanted to keep it on the low for now." Nik stated as he traced the ring with his finger.
"I told Elijah about the wedding. I felt as if I had too and I don't want to not let anyone know that we're married now. I'm not ashamed of being your wife." I told him honestly and Nik only smiled and grabbed his own necklace and took his wedding ring off it and placed it on his finger.
"Let's get your sister married, shall we?" Nik said holding his arm out for me to take. I had put Hope down for her nap after Elijah left my room. I hope that she would sleep soundly for a few hours and not wake up in the middle of the ceremony.
I stood with Nik up on the balcony, looking out over the crowd as we waited for Hayley and Jackson to step forward. I could spot Aidan and Josh sitting beside each other, finally being open about them dating. I even caught a glimpse of Davina sitting there, looking for what I believed to be Aron. The one I didn't see, was Kol. I was afraid that he would not be ok with this marriage and it was hard for him to see the one he loved getting married to someone else. As it was for Elijah to see me marrying his brother.
When the happy couple came forward, I was in awe with how beautiful Hayley looked. Nik wrapped his arms around me as we watched the ceremony take place. Jackson's grandmother was the one marrying them and it was the right thing to do.
"Please, be seated." Mary said to us but Nik and I stood at the balcony still. I wanted to be close to Hope's room just in case. Elijah joined us with his younger brother Kol just then. He didn't look so good. I put out my hand for him and he grabbed it tightly. I hated to see him feeling so terrible, it's not often the one and only Kol Mikaelson opens himself up for love, so it was hard for me to watch him suffer like this.
"We gather together as a community seeking peace. Inspired by the union of this couple before you. There was a time when werewolves saw themselves not as cursed but as blessed. With the connection of our most pure self. And tonight, we honor that blessing, with a long awaited unification of the two crescent bloodlines. In doing so, we chose to embrace Hayley's vampire nature. With this union, Hayley will share her unique gift with her pack. And now, your vows." Mary said and that was it for Kol. He couldn't stay there and watch as Hayley said those vows, knowing it wasn't made for him.
"Let him go, love." Nik said to me. He knew what kind of person I was. I hated seeing the ones I love in pain. I reluctantly let Kol go and moved my attention back to the ceremony.
"I pledge to honor and defend you and yours above all others." Jackson started to say.
"To share blessings, to be you advocate, your champion." Hayley said next.
"T be your comforter, your sanctuary and for as long as we both shall live."
"To be your family." They repeated together and lighted a candle in unison.
"You two have endured all the traditional werewolf rituals and trials. There's only one remaining… Jackson, you may kiss your bride." Mary said with a huge smile on her face. I watched as the two of them share a kiss and I knew that Hayley loved him but I wasn't sure she loved him as much as she loved Kol. I held onto Nik and stole a light kiss from him. I knew that this marriage would make sure that Hope was safe and we need all the help we can get, but I want to be happy for Hayley and the man she chose to spend the rest of her life with. We all watched as the other wolves eyes suddenly changed into gold and we just knew that it worked. Nik looked pleased and left the wedding without me. I looked up at Elijah and he thought it was strange that Nik just left like that. We followed after him and found him in the back. Nik was standing there with a smug smile upon his lips and I knew he was up to something.
"I know that look." Elijah said before I could. "I see it all too often. What are you planning?"
"I'm not sure that I know what you're talking about." Nik answered and I knew he was lying.
"Jackson marries the niece of your child in our home, you have always wanted control over them… talk to me." Elijah demanded.
"Jackson have Hayley. All though he's not fit to have an army to protect our daughter." Nik said gesturing to me. "His reign will be short lived."
I knew what that meant and I didn't like it at all.
"Niklaus, you don't think that I would allow you to harm Jackson on the day of Hayley's wedding."
"One of us, Elijah is immortal. Immortals parish." Nik said and tried to walk away from us but Elijah stopped him.
"What are you doing?" He asked.
"Confide in me, brother. How do you think Kol feels when he sees Hayley look at Jackson?" Nik asked, but pushed it even further. "And how you feel when you've finally learned that Amy finally tied the knot with me. Do you sense her feelings for you fading?"
I was stunned by the fact that he actually said that to him. It did hurt me, knowing that he would use our marriage for something to hurt his own brother. I left them after that, I knew that I would be too angry and do something I would regret if I stayed. I walked into Hope's bedroom, only to find Cami standing there, holding my daughter. Hope knew that I was in the room and made a little noise. Cami turned around to face me and she immediately tensed up.
"I'm sorry. I didn't want to disturb you, and when she woke up, I just wanted to help." Cami rambled on.
"That's ok, Cami." I said taking Hope out of her arms.
"Where's Klaus?" Cami asked and I just shot her a look.
"Oh, he's around somewhere, breaking the idyllic scene we have in front of us today." I said angrily.
"Trouble in paradise?" Cami asked and I felt the mode of being a psychologist stepping in.
"Well, you could say that the honeymoon days suddenly took a turn." I said and Cami froze.
"Honeymoon days? Are you telling me that you and Klaus are married?" Cami asked a little jealous and hurt. Hah! In her face! I showed her my wedding ring.
"We got married last night. I just didn't want to tell anybody until after Hayley's wedding." I answered and I knew I was rubbing it in.
"Wow… I believe congratulations is in order…" Cami said without looking at me.
"Cami, please don't make this about you, ok? I've had a really long day." I snapped at her. Just right then, Hayley came into the room.
"Hey! We're going out to the streets to celebrate. You should join us." Hayley told me but I really didn't want to leave Hope.
"I don't know. I don't want to leave Hope." I said, trying to get out of it.
"Oh, come on! How often do you get to celebrate a marriage?" She asked and it made Cami snort and say things she shouldn't say.
"More often than you think." Cami said and looked directly at me.
"What is she talking about?" Hayley asked, looking at me up and down and that's when she noticed the ring.
"Oh my God!" She exclaimed taking my hand to inspect the ring further. "Did you and Klaus tie the knot and don't you lie to me."
"Yes, last night. I'm sorry I didn't tell you. I didn't want to ruin anything on your special day." I answered, thinking Hayley would be angry with me. Hayley only smiled and gave me a hug.
"Congratulations. I wish I could have been there." Hayley said with a smile on her face. "Now, you have to come with us and celebrate."
"I don't know. I really don't want to leave Hope." I tried to argue. That was when Nik entered the room.
"I can take care of Hope. You go and celebrate." Nik told me but I didn't even look at him.
"Yes. Come on, Amy. I can't do this without you." Hayley pleaded and I finally agreed.
"Fine, let's go dancing in the streets." I said, giving in. Cami decided to join us. I was about to follow the two girls, when Nik asked me to stay behind for a minute.
"What do you want, Nik?" I asked in a harsh tone.
"You know, I can always tell when you're angry with me." Nik stated and I just glared at him.
"And why would you think that I'm angry with you?" I asked, crossing my arms.
"It's because what I said about Jackson."
"You're absolutely right. I am angry with you because of what you said about Jackson. You're not killing him for your own good." I told him sternly.
"I'm sorry! I'm only trying to do what is best for us." Nik argued back.
"And you think killing Jackson is the answer? Nik, you could work together, side by side. You don't get to kill him." I told him. "I don't want more death that close to Hope. Jackson is her uncle for crying out loud!"
Nik could understand my distress and he hated seeing me like this. He walked up to me and ran his hand through my hair.
"I just want to make sure that Hope is safe." Nik started to say.
"And you think killing Jackson is the way to do that? Please don't do this, Nik." I pleaded him. "Don't do anything rash until we see how this plays out, please?"
Nik hated to see me this upset and knew that he had crossed a line with me.
"I will not do anything rash at the moment. Gosh, I hate what you've done to me." Nik whispered before bringing my lips to meet his. I knew that he would go against his words but I couldn't help but melt when he said those words. I kissed him back for a second before letting him go.
"Please call me if there's something with Hope." I started to say but Nik stopped me.
"Trust me, little wolf, I can handle it. Go, have fun with your sister." Nik said before giving me another kiss. I hated that I couldn't stay angry at him for long but I didn't want him to kill Jackson either.
Hayley and the rest of the party waited for me downstairs and I quickly followed them. We walked out on Bourbon Street and it just felt alive. The music was loud and happy and the crowd cheered us on. It was a night of celebration. I looked up to the balcony and saw Nik standing there watching us. He still kept an eye on me, even though he knew I would be fine on my own. I suddenly saw Davina dancing in the crowd and she looked so happy when she saw me. I walked over to her and she immediately wrapped her arms around me.
"It's so good to see you again." Davina said with a smile and I couldn't help but smiling back.
"It's good to see you too. Where is your date?" I asked her and she just shrugged.
"He bailed on me." Davina told me back and I just grabbed her hand.
"We don't need boys to dance in the streets." I said, dragging the young witch with me. Davina laughed a little at me but joined me in dance. It was fun, acting as if I wasn't already married and I was young and free. But still, I enjoyed the thought of going home to my husband and daughter more than partying all night.
Davina and I danced our way over to Josh who looked quite pleased with himself.
"Are you ok?" Davina asked.
"Yeah, totally. My boyfriend and his friends are super-royals now. It's going to be awesome." Josh said with both concerns and everything else.
I tried to let the feeling of going back go, but something in me told me to go back.
"Hey Davina? Could you please tell Hayley that I went back home. I just feel as if I need to go home right now." I told her and Davina nodded quickly.
"Yeah, sure." She told me and gave me a hug. I ran back home and I knew that something wasn't right. I walked upstairs and heard Nik talking to his brother. I know it's not nice to listen to someone's conversation but this time, I did.
"It's amusing, you trying to make sense of the man who married the woman you love, but then you've always tried to want something you could never have." Nik told Elijah and I couldn't help but wonder what they had been talking about before I walked in.
"Listen to yourself. When have I ever wanted or taken something that does not belong to me?" Elijah said and I didn't like his tone at all.
"Do you want me to write you a list? Because I can write down a name or two thousand." Nik spat back at him.
"I think that you're acting out of fear. I bet you even pushed Amy to marry you, because you're afraid that she might leave you for me. And you're afraid that I possibly could be a better father to Hope than you'll ever be." Elijah spat at him and it made me angry. I wanted to rip his head off. No one accuses my husband for being a lousy father.
"Do not bring my child into this." Nik said, trying to sound calm.
"Your child arrived here today… do you even care?" I was about to go all sorts of crazy on him.
"You think that with your upbringing, you can be as good of a father, than maybe Ansel could've been to you? Perhaps you should just let Amy and Hope go and finally understand that there's so much more for them out there than you." Elijah said and I couldn't believe the hostility coming out of him. I ran into the room and slammed Elijah as hard as I could against the wall.
"How dare you say things like that to my husband?" I growled at him and Elijah didn't even attempt to get out of my grip.
"Even though you're suffering of heartbreak, there's no use trying to take it out on Nik. You told me earlier today that you would always be my friend and this is how you treat me. Just get the hell away from us, Elijah. We don't need people like you." I said and pushed him against the wall again. I was furious for what he'd said to Nik and I didn't like this fighting. And all I knew, is that I was supposed to support Nik. Elijah looked at me in horror and left the room before I could threaten him with anything else. I turned around, looking at Nik while I was breathing heavily.
"Are you ok?" I asked my husband, still trying to calm myself down. Nik walked over to me and crashed his lips to mine. I eagerly returned the kiss and felt almost out of breath afterwards.
"You don't know how insanely hot that was." Nik told me with an growl.
"I'm just protecting what's mine." I whispered back at him. Nik kissed me one more time before pulling back.
"I want to do something with you and our daughter. Are you comfortable with bringing her out to the public?" Nik asked me and I wasn't sure what he was after but he assured me that everything would be fine.
"Ok, let's do it but if something's go wrong, I will personally kill them." I told him sternly.
"I can agree with that." Nik agreed as we walked back to Hope's room. She was still awake, waiting for us to come back. I lifted her up and kissed her cheek. I knew what's needed of us.
"Are you ready?" Nik asked me and I nodded carefully.
"As ready as I'll ever be." I answered and handed Hope over to him. I walked out to the rest of the party first as they all had returned. Hayley was dancing with Jackson but she stopped the minute she saw me.
"Hey! Where did you run off to?" She asked me and I just gave her a smile.
"I had something to do… I'm sorry for leaving but I'm here now." I answered giving my sister a hug. I turned to Jackson and saw that he looked happy.
"And you… come here and hug your sister – in – law." I said opening my arms to him. Jackson gave me a hug and I thought this night could only get better. Out of nowhere, Nik approached us all with my baby Hope in his arms. I knew he would do it but it still astounded me.
"Ladies and gentlemen, may I have your attention, please. Amy, if you would join me, I'd like to propose a toast." Nik said and I happily went over to him. Nik handed Hope to me and I gladly took the bubbly girl in my arms.
"I want to welcome you all. As you know, last spring, my wife Amy and I had a daughter." I could hear the crowd gasp at the mentioning of us already tying the knot.
"Do to tragic circumstances, she was lost. Now, she has returned home. Her name is Hope Elizabeth." Nik said and the crowd gasped even louder.
"She will live here, among you. Her pack, her family. We employ you to protect our daughter, to love her as one of your own." I looked over at Jackson as Nik said that and he agreed with Nik's words. There was no way in hell that Nik would kill Jackson. Nik lifted a glass of champagne, holding his attention towards Hope's uncle.
"Jackson, I invite you and your bride to live here. Uniting your proud and noble people in peace. Welcome to the family, mate." Nik said with a smug smile.
"To Jackson and Hayley!" We all said in salute but unfortunately, it scared Hope and she started to fuzz. I looked over at Nik and he gestured for me to take Hope back upstairs. She was overly tired and I hated when that happened, because she wasn't being that cooperative and getting her into her pajamas wasn't easy.
When I finally got it on, she calmed down enough for me to give her bottle. I sat in the rocking chair I always wanted to sit in, rocking her gently and humming a lullaby. I didn't know what Nik was up too right now, but I didn't care. Hope mattered the most and she had my full attention.
"I don't think I've ever seen a more beautiful sight than the one I see before me at this very moment." I heard someone say from the doorway and looked up. Nik stood there, leaning against the wall.
"Well, I'm glad you like it." I said with a soft voice, not wanting to disturb Hope. Nik walked into the room and knelt down next to the chair. He looked at Hope who was about to fall asleep again, hopefully for the rest of the night. Nik ran his finger down her cheek and it seem to do the trick, Hope fell asleep in the next second. How extraordinary to watch. I carefully stood up from the chair and laid her down in her crib, tucking her in. The silence that followed was so good and pure; it was a moment that gave us the feeling of being a normal family. Nik put his arms around me, keeping my back to his chest and we stood there, watching our beautiful daughter.
"I could stay here forever, just watching over her like this." I whispered and caressed Nik's hand. He chuckled and kissed my neck slightly and it made me shiver.
"I know what you mean." Was all he said and I loved how mushy he was when it came to Hope. Our greatest love and potentially our greatest weakness, if anyone did something to her, it would ruin the both of us.
The comfortable silence was broken when both Elijah, Kol and Rebekah came crashing through the door. I growled at them for making so much noise but luckily, Hope didn't wake.
"Must you intrude on every moment?" Nik asked Elijah for the most part.
"Nik, it's Aron. I couldn't help him. He's not going to last the night." Rebekah said and even though Nik tried to stay unaffected but the thought of losing a family member, was hard.
"What makes you think that I would want anything to do with that? Good riddance it's what it is." Nik said, turning towards his daughter again.
"Nik. You and I both know that Aron did what he could to help us in the last few days. I feel as if you're going to regret it if you don't make it right with him before he's gone." I said carefully. He looked at me with a glare, knowing that I was right.
"Give me one good reason why I should make things right with him." Nik asked impatiently.
"Because he's your brother." I answered truthfully and that made his posture change. I knew that he would do the right thing.
"Fine. Let's do this." Nik said and went to grab his jacket.
"I'll stay here and keep an eye out for things. I don't think Hayley will be all that happy with me if I leave her wedding party." I said but mostly, I didn't want to leave Hope in the house alone without any of her family around her. Even though Hayley was here.
"Fine. You'll stay here. Let's get this over with." Nik said and gave me a kiss before leaving with his siblings.
I grabbed the baby monitor and walked downstairs to the party but not before ordering some of the wolves not to let anyone enter Hope's bedroom unless it was any of the Mikaelson's or Hayley. Call me overprotective but I didn't want anyone else around my daughter.
I joined Hayley and Jackson for some drinks, trying to have a good time, knowing what my husband was about to do.
Third person p.o.v
The Mikaelson siblings reached Lafayette cemetery and searched for Aron. They knew that he was in the company of the young teenage witch.
They could hear Aron talking to Davina and he was getting worse by the second.
"I think I want to be alone for this part." Aron said and walked away from the young witch.
"I am afraid that's not an option." Elijah said as they approached their dying older brother.
"Always and forever is not just something that you get to weasel your way out of, brother." Nik told him and gave him a genuine smile.
"I am not a part of that, Niklaus. I never got the chance to be." Aron argued back.
"But that doesn't mean that you're not a Mikaelson and not one of us." Kol said surprisingly, Aron had nothing to say against that, and it felt better for him to have family around him at a time like this.
It didn't take long for Aron to collapse on the floor and they tried to make it as comfortable for him as possible but he had started bleeding from the mouth and nose, making it hard for him to breathe. Aron looked around at his younger siblings and he felt remorse for not having enough time with them.
"All my life, I've watched you all from the other side, wishing to have special moments with you all, but I never thought it would be like this." Aron said weakly. Rebekah took this really hard, since she had spent the last few weeks working with him closely.
"Aron, listen to me. I'm not lying to you. You're going to die but I'm a witch and I will consecrate your body. You will join the ancestors of the French quarter and those spirits will be brought back and I promise you, brother, I will not leave this body until I find a way to bring you home." Rebekah told him and all he did was smiling.
Davina made her way over to them, trying desperately to find a spell that could help him but she couldn't find anything.
"I tried every spell I could think of." Davina said through her tears.
"It's ok." He said, knowing that no spell would work. "I'm not scared."
His body couldn't take it anymore, and he just stopped breathing all together. It was painful for everyone around him. They've lost yet another member of the family and it wasn't fair that Finn would kill his own twin. They couldn't understand why he would do that.
Amy's p.o.v
The party was dying out after a few hours and I really wanted some time alone. I peeked my head in Hope's room and she was sound asleep. I decided to take a shower and get ready for bed.
It surprised me to see Nik walking into our bedroom as I came out of the bathroom. He looked like a mess.
"Hey." I said carefully as he finished off the glass of bourbon he had in his hand.
"Aron died." Nik said, ignoring my greeting and I could tell he was sad because of what's happened. I walked over to him and put my arms around his waist.
"Elijah decided to move out. He said he wanted to move across the river to help Marcel with his new recruits." He added but we both knew that Elijah left because I basically told him to go to hell for everything he said about Nik and his ability to be a good husband to me and a good father to Hope.
"Maybe it's for the best right now. I don't want him around me if he can't be supportive of our marriage." I told him honestly. Nik turned to look at me and I could see the pain in his eyes. I hated seeing him like this and I wanted to make things better for him.
"Still no regrets, right? No regrets for marrying the hateful Hybrid." Nik asked me and I gave him a smile. I kissed him passionately for a moment, showing my love for him.
"No." I said lovingly, running my fingers through his hair. Nik growled and lifted me up and threw me on the bed. I giggled a little from his actions as he practically ripped his clothes off before joining me in bed. He kissed me, so fiercely, my toes curled.
"But you can ask me that again in the morning." I said with a grin, making Nik laugh before kissing me again, which made it clear for me that I would be walking funny in the morning.
Back in the morgue in Arkansas, Finn had finally healed from his burns and putting on knew clothes to feel a little better.
"What did you do?" He asked Freya.
"It took a while, but I healed you. Brought you back from death. Using this." Freya answered.
"Your pendant. You said it would protect me." Finn stated.
"It's a talisman to focus my power. I knew it would be dangerous to face Elijah. I didn't want you to be hurt."
"Just like when we were children." Finn said, remembering the time when they were kids. "I seem to recall you always defended me and Aron."
"You two are my brothers, Finn. I love the both of you and we'll need to protect each other. If Dahlia senses Klaus' child is alive, she's already on her way." Freya told him.
"Niklaus used magic to cloak the baby from my mother. It's going to take a bit of time before Dahlia finds out…"
"You don't understand. Esther was nothing compared to Dahlia. I was taken when I was only five years old. I had just started to show potential for magic. It is the magic that will draw Dahlia. It will serve as a beacon, calling her. Dahlia will come, and she will take what's hers."
At the same time, the little girl turned a little in her sleep, seeking towards her parents in the other room. Not knowing of the danger coming ahead.
I am practically fainting over here! I absolutely loved writing this chapter and the wedding between Amy and Klaus couldn't have been any better. It something about Amy calling Klaus husband instead of boyfriend, it does something to the story.
I also think that Amy confesses that she married Klaus to Elijah, made it more emotional. He had to start realizing that he would never be with Amy.
I know I made Elijah the bad guy in the chapter by being so mean to Klaus and Amy feeling that he wasn't keeping his word but it's important to what's going to happen in the story later on.

*grapejuice101: Haha! I had to do something! It's called capturing the readers, wanting them to figure out even more what is going to happen.
*adela: Thank you so much! thankfully, it didn't take too long for me to write this chapter.
*QueenLittleWolf: Thank you! I hope you liked how I solved it. I didn't think that marrying Hayley and Amy at the same time would have worked. Hayley and Jackson's wedding was important for Amy and Klaus and they wouldn't want to ruin that.. Oh, I think there will be a lot of drama with Aurora... haha!
*Asma20: You are absolutely right. Elijah isn't all that innocent. That's something you see very well in this chapter. How did you like Amy's answer?
*Guest: I hope you liked the idea I came up with about Amy's wedding. I have my ideas about about adopting a boy but I don't want to reveal too much just yet. I thought about Amy wearing her mother's dress, but then I thought that it perished in the fire back in Mystic Falls. So the thought of melting her parents' wedding rings was the best idea I could come up with and it worked out well!
