Lucina looked at her husband confused as he explained how depressed and forlorn the red-headed merchant was after they finished buying rings.

"Are you sure Anna said all of that? I don't remember her being so tight for money."

"That is probably because you were too busy admiring your ring." He chuckled back. "Sometimes I wonder if you love that thing more than me."

The princess looked back at her hand to spot the ring on her finger. The same gold band that she refused to take off unless she was cleaning it because she adored it so much. "Don't be silly dear, it is much more fun to hold you." She smiled cheerfully.

Robin returned the sentiment with pride, and he was about to say something else, but found his gaze returning to his daughter and he quickly stopped himself. *Ahem* He cleared his throat and said "Anyways, are you ready to explore the garden and get off of that old bench?"

"Just a few more minutes." Morgan pretended to be tired even though she felt fine. She just wanted an excuse to hear the rest of the story. "My legs still feel a little sore."

"Okay then, take your time." He nodded back not wanting to push her too hard. "There is no rush."

The young tactician closed her eyes and said, "Speaking of time, what day is it? I've completely lost track."

"It's Monday" Lucina replied thinking over the date. "… The 15th."

"Oh, wow." She replied surprised. "I didn't know we were already half way through the month."

"You slept through most of it." Her mother said sorrowfully. "I'm sure it will take some time to catch up."

"Yeah..." Morgan nodded while thinking it over. "Didn't you two want to join a tournament in Plegia this month?

Robin tried to down play it and said, "It's a little late to do that I'm afraid, but we can always do it next year instead."

"Right." Lucina agreed. "In the meantime we can focus on other things and brush up on our skills. That way we will be more prepared to enter the tournament the next time it comes around."

Morgan frowned and lowered her head as she said, "Sorry, you missed it because you had to take care of me."

"None of that talk." Robin replied back sternly. "Because of you, we don't have to worry about time anymore."

"I know, but still-"

"Morgan, you heard your father." Lucina interrupted to make sure she didn't feel guilty. "Not another word about that."

"... Okay." She replied hesitantly.

"Now, where was I in our story?" He placed his hand on his chin and decided the best way to change the mood was to continue with his tale. That always brightened her mood.

After we purchased rings, Lucina immediately went to tell her mother that she was getting married, and I, hesitantly, looked for Chrom to tell him about it before he heard it from anyone else. I feared the chance of serious injury was high, but it was something I had to do as both his friend, and as a future son-in-law.

So while the shepherds marched through the shifting desert sand heading for Grima's alter, I began my death march hoping the man I used to trust my life with would not be the one to end it.

...

*Ahem* "Good morning Chrom. Sir."

He glared back at me for using a title again and said, "Hello Robin. Can I help you with something?"

"Um, actually, there is something I needed to speak to you about."

"Is it about the battle plan?" He asked interested. "Because if you are worried then you should know we trust you Robin. Validar wont get control over you. You are stronger than him."

"Thanks, and I will take some strength in that." I replied respectfully. "But that's not what I wanted to talk about..."

The Exalt became curious and said, "Then what's the problem?"

"Er, Chrom, I don't know how to tell you this." I shrugged in doubt "So I will just say it. Lucina and I are engaged."

"So soon?" He asked shocked. His face contorted, and before he spoke he chose his words carefully. "Well then … I suppose I should congratulate you two." He lowered his head and said, "You both seem very happy around each other" He muttered to himself with some comfort "… I know I might have overreacted in the past, but being a parent is still new to me, and I am not really sure how to handle this situation. I just want the best for her."

"As do I." I replied sincerely.

"Right." He trailed off as he took a deep breath. "I've seen the way she looks at you, and it hurts because I feel like I've been replaced. I know she will always love me as her father, but I didn't want to lose her so soon, especially after getting to know what a wonderful person she has grown to be."

"She means a lot to both of us." I sighed knowing he was in a difficult position.

"All I ask is you wait a few months until you figure things out and decide if you want to go through with it. Marriage is a tough choice, and at the very least I would like to have my daughter for just a little longer."

I shuddered as I said, "Then you are not going to like the next part at all."

"Hmm?"

"I know it is really sudden, but we decided to get married tonight." I scratched the back of my head nervously. "Neither of us want to wait anymore, and we want to do it before things get too chaotic. I'm not sure how much free time we will have after the war, and I think we are ready. Normally, I would ask you to be my best man, but considering the circumstances, we would ask for your blessing instead."

Chrom was about to say something as he gripped his hand tightly, but he remained silent to keep himself calm as his face turned pale. He didn't seem angry, more like he had been told that flying pigs were swimming through a sea of ice. "Robin, this is not a choice you want to rush into."

"As a tactician, you know how often I make rash decisions. We've talked about this for a while, and we know what we are getting into" I tried to ease his worries. "If it helps, we plan on staying at the castle. So you will still get to see her often."

He relaxed a little, but then said "I hope you don't plan on having love guide the way. I was a fool like that once, and I was lucky it didn't bite me in the butt."

"We have a better plan." I nodded back. "The two of us know that we will have to work at it, and that there will be some difficult times ahead, but I think we can overcome them. Considering what the two of us have been through in our lives, I don't think a small little argument could break us apart."

Chrom glanced at the shifting ground beneath us and said, "What if something major happens? Would you be willing to sacrifice life and limb to stay with her?"

"Yes." I replied without hesitation. "And I'll also do everything to stay alive so I can protect her."

He gave a long sigh and said, "Very well. I need to talk to Lucina before I am okay with this though."

"Of course, we both need to know what we are getting into. She is with Sumia at the moment if you want to look for her." I replied as I felt like I dodged an arrow or two. "Lucina was going to ask if she could borrow her wedding dress."

"R-right. Right. I'm sure Sumia is jumping for joy with her at the moment. Perhaps I'll give them some time alone before I go over there."

I lowered my head in respect knowing that this was very difficult for him and said, "Out of curiosity, why does Sumia bring her wedding dress with us?"

"Huh?" He asked momentarily lost in his own thoughts. "Oh, she likes to wear it every once in a while to remember our wedding day. She says she feels like she is getting married all over again every time she puts in on, so she never likes to travel anywhere without it."

"She did seem very fond of her wedding." I said thinknig of what Lucina might look like in the dress. I guessed I would find out very soon. "Now I just need to find a suit."

"You could ask Virion." Chrom replied not realizing he was helping me. "He's about your height, and I've seen him wear a few suits."

"Right, although I'll have to find one without a bib." I gave a faint chuckle back.

He shook his head and said, "So you are really going through with this?"

"Yes, and my only regret would be to not do it. I want to show her that I really mean to be there, and stay by her through everything.

"... I see." He said not wanting to think too much about it.

"So, you are not going to threaten me?" I asked somewhat surprised.

"I don't see any reason to." He placed his hand on my shoulder and said, "Knowing you for these past three years, I know you will treat her above everything else. Plus, you are a smart man Robin. If you were to hurt her than I know you wouldn't bother running, because I would hunt you down and do so many things to you that you wouldn't be able eat without using a straw.

*sniff* "Gregor's eyes always get teary at such occasions. Gregor can't help it." The mercenary remarked as he stood next to me with Libra reading to serve as our priest. With Chrom being the bride's father, and Frederick's workout still haunting my soul, I chose Gregor to be my best man. He had always been there to offer advice and liquor when the day needed it.

Since it was such a short notice, our guests only had barrels to sit on, and some weighed more than others which meant they sank into the sand unevenly. Everyone was also in their military attire minus the armor. The only ones properly dressed for the occasion were Lucina and I as I tried not to choke on my bow tie. The suit was little loose, but the tie was not, and I wondered how Virion had not suffocated before trying to put that thing on.

"Is Lucina almost ready?" I asked as I waited anxiously. We had no formal music, so none of us were sure when the ceremony was supposed to start. The sun was setting in the distant, and I feared if we waited any longer then we wouldn't be able to see.

"Gregor heard that they were shaping the dress to fit the lovely bride better."

"...What if she is having second thoughts." I gulped nervously.

The mercenary slapped me on the back which caused me to choke on my tie as he laughed and said, "No need to have such silly fears. Gregor doubts she is thinking about anything other than happy things."

"I hope you are right ..."

"Tactician should have more trust in Gregor." He commented hurt.

"Sorry, I'm just nervous."

"Is only natural. Gregor remembers time where he felt nervous during this type of occasion."

"You got married before?" I asked surprised.

"Haha, no. Gregor was a little boy at the time. Smaller than a wee cub, but Gregor had crush on girl next to me. Gregor thought it would work too, but turns out it was not meant to be.

"Oh, sorry."

"Oy! None of that talk. Today is happy day with lots to be celebrating. Tactician should be making with the smiling and fawning. Future wife is in front of you after all."

"Huh?!" My eyes widened as I looked back at the aisle to see that he was speaking the truth. Across the way Lucina came into view as she took her father's arm and walked towards us.

She was wearing a white dress with a light blue trimming. There was a veil with a blue tint hiding her face, but I could still make out her face as she walked towards us with her hands holding a bouquet of daisies. Sumia and the rest also did a wonderful job reshaping the dress. Lucina was slightly taller than her mother, and had different focal points. Yet, it looked like the dress was made specifically for her.

I couldn't help but stare in awe as I wasn't sure if the dress made her look better, or if it was the other way around. Any doubt or hesitation that I previously had was instantly squashed as she approached. Reluctantly, Chrom let go of his daughter's arm when they reached us, and Lucina stepped forward to face me as she tried to hide her excitement. Almost instinctively, I removed the veil from her head to see a deep and glowing grin and her shining blue eyes light up the evening. "You look absolutely beautiful." I whispered in awe.

"You are rather dashing yourself." She mumbled trying to hide her blush as she gave the flowers in her hands to her brides mate, Cynthia.

Libra then turned to Chrom and said, "May I ask, who gives away their daughter to this man?

The Exalt looked very uneasy but he said, "She gives herself, with the blessing of her mother and I."

The princess smiled back and closed her eyes very happy. One of her fears was that her parents would not be accepting of it.

A moment later Libra saw the we were ready to proceed and opened the Book of Naga to say, "Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to witness and bless the joining together of this man and this woman in Holy Matrimony. These two wish to share their lives together, standing together to face life and the world, hand-in-hand. For this reason, marriage is not to be entered into hastily or with little thought, but rather it is to be pursued fervently, deliberately, and with great care."

...

Libra looked out to the crowd and said, "Should anyone believe that these two people should not be wed, then speak now, or forever hold your peace."

The shepherds turned their heads to looked towards two people. Half questioned Gerome who was still skeptical of my motives since they were a secret, and the other half were staring at the dark mage who looked like she was going to throw up. However, both kept their silence.

Libra then turned to Lucina and asked, "Lucina, will you have this man to be your husband; to live together with him in the covenant of marriage? For better or worse, will you love him, comfort him, honor and keep him, in sickness and in health; and be faithful unto him as long as you both shall live?"

"I do." She whispered finding it difficult to speak.

"Robin, will you have this woman to be your wife; to live together with her in the covenant of marriage? For better or worse, will you love her, comfort her, honor and keep her, in sickness and in health; and be faithful unto her as long as you both shall live?"

"I do." I declared proudly and without hesitation.

He nodded and said to crowd of shepherds. "Lucina and Robin have asked that they might exchange a few words to commemorate this occasion. They hope that these words will ring true throughout their time together in addition to their vows." He looked towards me giving me the okay to speak as I tried to find the courage.

...

"... Lucina, when I look at you, I see so many wonderful things." I paused as I tried to gather myself. "I hope that each day I can learn a little more about the beautiful woman in front of me, and I promise we will create a new world that both of us can enjoy. When this is all over I pray that everything else may seem like a distant memory compared to the life we will share. You are my closest friend and my greatest companion. Through everything, I'll always be right there by your side. I feel so much stronger knowing I am with you, and there is not a single person in the world that I trust more. I see you as so many things, and I look forward to exploring them all."

There was a tear running down Lucina's cheeks as she said, "Robin I …" *sniff* She rubbed her eye as she looked at me with a tender and heartfelt gaze. "I'm afraid I don't know what to say. I can't put into words how much you mean to me." She placed her hand on her heart and said, "You've always been there, and I honestly don't know how to return the favor. I'm so glad you will be there next to me Robin, because I won't ever let you go." She shook her head trying to steady herself. "I can hardly wait for the days when we can focus on each other first, and once this is all done, I can devote myself fully to you. I don't know how good of a wife I will be, but I promise to be the best I can.

Seeing we were finished, Libra smiled and said, "Which one of you holds the rings?"

Lucina's smiled widened, "I have them." She said while opening the palm of her hand. Sumia had recommended a ring bearer, but she had refused to part with her ring. She would have to concede for a moment though, as she gave me hers while she kept mine.

Not wanting to deprive her for long, I delicately took her hand in mine and felt her soft and warm touch. Her face was beaming with a grand glow as we stood there together, and I probably stared at it for too long not realizing it. "... Lucina, with this ring, I promise to be yours, and only yours until the end of time." I gently slipped it on her finger and felt her grip tighten on my hand once it was on.

Closing her eyes to calm herself down, she took my hand, rather forcefully, and reopened her eyes to say to me, "Robin, with this ring, I promise to always be here next to you. I love you, so much, and it brings me great joy to be with you."

"Um, Lucina." I gave a small chuckle as she leaned towards me.

"Something wrong?" She asked perplexed.

"That is the wrong finger."

"Oh! Sorry!" She quickly fixed her mistake before she returned her hand to mine. She was slightly embarrassed, but the giant grins on our faces made it seem like a distant memory.

Libra closed his eyes and raised his arms out sideways as he said, "With Naga's blessing, and in front of all these witnesses, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."

The priest barely got those words out of his mouth before we embraced with our lips sealed against each other. Ready to begin a new future.

...

We didn't have too much time to spend on celebrations, but the shepherds used most of it partying and congratulating us. We had banned alcohol since we were supposed to fight tomorrow, but that didn't stop Gregor from grabbing a swig or two from his own stash. Of course, he was drunk all the time so it would probably be more harmful for him to stop drinking.

So while everyone else kept busy, I found a place to sit on an old sandstone rock and looked back at my ring in wonder as I thought over everything that happened between us. From the moment I talked to her at the arena in Regna Ferox, to the day I saw her unmasked, to when she confided in me that I was someone she could trust to help her with her mission. Somewhere along the way a friendly gesture turned into a not-so-platonic one, and a simple handshake to say good-bye changed to a long hug. Or when our meetings in the war room got sidetracked by learning more about each other.

From that day in the forest, to the time I was sixty feet in the air trying to survive my sadist best friend's attempt to get revenge for falling in love with his daughter. It all led up to this moment, and what a wonderful one it was.

"Don't tell me your wife has runoff on you already." Virion spotted me alone to my thoughts while the rest of the shepherds watched Maribelle and Cherche fight over the bouquet. That was one fight I wanted to see because they both had claws when they were angry, but my thoughts were a bit more preoccupied.

"She is being interrogated by Severa and her sister. By now I'm sure her mother has entered the fray as well."

"Ah. Makes sense." He gave a regal laugh. "But you should be more careful my friend. Lest Chrom has your head while your guard is down."

"I'm more worried about what Lucina would do to him if that happened." I laughed without a care in the world. Not even tomorrow's battle plan troubled me as I took a moment to relax.

"I shudder to think the consequences Chrom would have to face, but I admit there is a severe double standard. If I had tried to swoon the young lady I surely would have found my head on the top of a pike by now."

"True, but Lucina would have been the one to do that to you, not Chrom."

"Hmph. You don't think I could have won her heart?" He asked offended.

"Not in any lifetime."

"You wound me! I'll have you know many woman find me to be quite attractive and charming. My exploits are known across the land."

"Would you like me to tell Maribelle that?" I snickered.

Virion grimaced and said, "That won't be necessary. I fear her wrath even more than Milord Chrom's."

He had a good point, and for once I almost felt some pity for him. "Speaking of royalty, why did you stay with us after we freed Valm. You are a Duke and I know you wanted to return to Rosanne with all haste."

The archer sighed and said, "I must admit I am eager to restore my homeland, but if we do not stop Grima's resurrection then I will have nothing left to restore. I'm afraid my reasoning for staying is far more prompt than friendly.

"Nonetheless, I appreciate your help Virion."

"Hehehe." Henry laughed as he approached us. "Weddings are funny. You should of seen it Robin. The cat-fight between Maribelle and Cherche was Caw-razy."

"Who won?" Virion asked hesitantly.

"Lissa snatched the flowers while the other two were fighting. Now they are chasing her around camp."

I shook my head and said, "They better not be too tired to fight tomorrow."

"They'll be fine." Virion noted. "Besides, any effort to stop three crazed women desperate for marriage would take another war to stop. It's best to let them sort it out themselves."

"Nyh ha ha, and you wonder why you always used to get rejected by the lady shepherds." Henry laughed back.

"Hmph. It seems that no one here respects my finer tastes." He replied disgruntled.

"Oh cheer up." Henry replied while pointing his finger in the air. "Weddings are happy occasions. So let's go find some bandits or strippers."

"... Why bandits?" Virion asked unsure if he wanted an answer. He definitely didn't need an explanation for the second option. That one was obvious.

"Caws Robin said not to hurt innocent people. It's also more entertaining when they fight back. I like fighting Risen too, but only because I love the sound of ripping off their thumbs. Hehehe!"

Virion looked away uncomfortable and said. "Remind me again how we have survived this long with him in our entourage?"

"I'll let you know if I ever figure that out." I laughed back.

Soon a figure came walking up behind Henry and her radiant glow could capture my attention in an instant.

"Excuse me." Lucina replied politely as she passed by the two men and smiled once she saw my face. "I would like to borrow my husband if that is okay."

"Of course madame, we were just about to depart anyways." Virion bowed respectfully.

Awww. But I wanted to see them go bang-bang!" Henry said with an excited tone. Thankfully, Virion pulled him away as he pouted in disappointment.

Lucina then leaned down to kiss me on the lips before deciding that my lap was the best place to sit. "I hope you don't mind me taking time away from your friends." She smiled back warmly.

"Not at all. I'm just surprised you got away from Cynthia and Sumia."

"It was difficult." She sighed and wrapped her arms around me. "But I am here now."

"And we will never be separated again."

"Mmmmm." Lucina hummed tucking her head into my chest and closed her eyes.

"Tired?" I asked knowing that she was probably exhausted after the events of the last few days.

"Mhm." She nuzzled her head further to get more comfortable.

"Maybe we should get some rest then."

Lucina suddenly opened her eyes and said, "No. I'm fine. I can stay up a little longer."

I laughed lightly and said, "Is that why you are using me as a mattress?"

She smiled and said innocently, "I can't help it. You are so soft and peaceful. I think I found my new pillow."

"I hope you didn't marry me just so you could use me as your own personal bed."

"Hehe." She laughed while she raised her head and looked up to me with her big blue eyes. "Robin, I don't want to go to sleep."

"How come?" I asked as I stroked her hair.

Lucina held on to me tighter and said, "Because I never want this day to end. It can't end if I don't fall asleep."

My heart melted at her response and I said, "But we have rings now, so when you wake up you won't have to worry about dreaming."

"I know." She pouted. "But I still don't want to go to sleep. I like having you next to me."

"Would it help if I went to sleep with you?"

Lucina suddenly blushed at the idea, but she quickly settled down and nodded back.

"Alright then." I quickly rose from my seat which surprised the princess. For a moment she looked afraid about falling, but I picked her up with one hand on her back and the other on her legs as I carried her in my arms. She then wrapped her arms around my neck and we made the short journey to our new shared tent.

"We all need to be well rested for tomorrow." I replied as we ducked away from the celebrations unnoticed. If we stayed any longer we were likely to be mobbed by everyone again.

"Yes, but I am not sure if I like the plan. I have nothing against fighting with my mother, but I would like to be there to keep you safe."

"I'll be careful not to take any chances." I nodded knowing that Chrom and I would be fighting tomorrow. "Plus you get to take the role of an actress again. You won't even need a mask, so I can watch with a great view."

She smiled again and said content, "I still say you only want to stab my father just to get revenge."

"That might be part of it." I laughed, "But I promise that the two of us will stay safe. If something goes wrong then we will abort. I have no doubt that Validar is a very dangerous foe, so if we don't catch him off guard then I am going to need you and Sumia to back us up."

"You can count on me." She cried determined.

"Good." I replied cheerful. At about the same time we reached our tent, and I smiled fondly knowing that this is how things would be from now on. We would never have to worry about saying good-bye anymore. "Here we are." I said while turning my body sideways so we could enter the tent together.

"Yes, our tent." She repeated in delight as we passed through and reached the small room inside.

I then set her down one on of the two bedrolls that were attached together while being careful not to ruffle her dress or the princess herself. It took a moment for her to let go of my neck, but she reluctantly did so as I prepared to go to sleep myself. The day was surprisingly very tiring."I think for once we will have pleasant dreams."

"No more nightmares." She whispered in wonder.

"It almost seems too good to be true." I smiled back warmly. "Just like getting married to you."

"Robin..." She inspected me and watched carefully as I tried to get comfortable on my side.

"Hmm?" I asked as I kicked off my shoes and relaxed.

She used her finger to draw something on her side of the twin bedroll and said, "Um, I know we just got married, but I want to do my best to be a good wife."

I shook my head and said, "Lucina, you don't have to worry about that. I love you because of who you are. I'm already proud enough to know I can call you that."

"I know." She said in a low tone "But I want to make sure that this will be a night that we will never forget. That is, if you will have me."

My eyes widened in shock and I stammered saying, "Y-you are not s-suggesting-"

She inched closer to me with a flushed face. "I'm afraid I don't know very much about this kind of thing, but I ..." She played with her hands to hide her nervousness. "I am willing to try."

I had to forcibly close my jaw and pound on my chest as I felt my body stiffen up like a statue. "I um, Er. If you are not comfortable, then I don't want to force you into this. This isn't something that you should feel compelled to do."

"I'll admit I am afraid." She said inching even closer to me. I could already feel my heart beating a hundred times faster than normal. "However, this is also something married couple do. As your wife, I want to see what it is like. I also wish to see you happy."

"Lu-Lu ..." I nearly choked on my spit as I gasped helplessly for breath.

I was not the only one surprised, as her face grew even redder. "You find me attractive, right?"

I nodded too shocked to speak.

"Then I-" She closed her eyes and exhaled. "Then I am ready. I feel safe with you."

"O ... kay." I gulped and closed the remainder of the gap between us so I wouldn't make her feel like she was alone in this. "How do I ... um, remove the dress."

She rolled over to reveal that her wedding dress was tied in the back and she twitched when she felt my hand touch her.

"Lucina, we can turn back if you'd like."

"It's okay." She whispered. "I love you Robin, and I want to show it."

"I love you too." I replied with a dry mouth.

Once the knot on her dress was untied, Lucina turned back to face me. With some extra work, the dress slowly fell from her. Which meant that-

Robin trailed off lost in his own memory as Morgan waited for him to say something.

"Dad?"

His brain shut down the moment he saw the frontal view of his wife, and it would not recover anytime soon. He was absolutely lost in the memories that only him and his wife were entitled to recall. It was there own secret, and no one would ever know for certain what happened inside that tent. Other people would have their suspicions. Plenty of them, but ultimately no one, not even Henry, would ever dare intrude on their privacy, because the special moments that a married couple shared were too sacred to disclose.

"Dad?" Morgan called again.

"Dad!" She shouted.

"Huh?!" Robin snapped out of it and immediately looked back at his child. "And then we went to sleep! We went directly to sleep! We did not pass go, we did not collect 200 gold coins" He exclaimed with the utmost haste. "Yes, um, both of us slept soundly because we were so tired!"

Morgan looked back at him skeptically and said, "I'm not sure if I believe that."

"Well er, Morgan, how old are you now?" Robin asked with a stark red face. "Eight? Nine?"

"Sixteen dad" She rolled her eyes, "And I have a question."

"R-right ... I suppose this is the time when you would start having questions." He whispered absentminded.

"Morgan, did we ever-" Lucina paused very embarrassed. "In the future, did we ever discuss this … topic?"

"I wasn't old enough when dad fell seriously ill." Morgan frowned. "But I think I know how it works."

"Who told you?!" Robin asked ready to kill anyone who would ever spoil her innocence.

"Grandma explained the basics when I was fourteen. I tried asking grandpa, but he said it wasn't something I should do until I was 45."

"That sounds like father alright." Lucina grimaced.

"Er, so I guess we don't need to explain the process." He gulped nervously. "Gah-good."

"It's just that." Morgan lowered her head and debated if she wanted to say it or not. "I always hear people talk about it and I am curious. Is it really that much better than kissing?"

The two parents looked back at each other and blushed profusely.

"Well … It's sort of like sparring." Lucina said with cheeks redder than Cordelia's hair.

"Come again?"

"Well um, dueling is an activity that two people do that requires a lot of physical exercise. It's actually a great way to stay in shape, and uh, it's very healthy for the body." She lowered her head unsure if she wanted to continue or not. "It also requires coordination and dexterity, and it's a great way to relieve stress."

Morgan scrunched her brow and squinted her eyes thinking that didn't sound right. "So ... you two do it as an alternative to training with Frederick?"

"Well, no." Lucina clasped her hands together and placed them on her lap. "There are other reasons. The fact that it can be used as a training method is just a bonus." She trailed off as she didn't know what else to say.

"Listen Morgan." Robin tried to intervene fearing this was going nowhere. "The event that Lucina and I do together is like candy. No one could blame us for craving it." His face reddened as he hesitantly said, "And it's just one of those things that is ingrained from us from the moment we were born. We instinctively like … candy." He cleared his throat as he looked back to his wife extremely uncomfortable. "It's a very tempting thing, and sometimes you embrace the idea of having it."

"Like Gaius." Morgan commented trying to follow along.

"Sort of like that." Robin nodded looking up towards the sky. "But there are consequences to it as well. Candy can make you sick, and there are serious things to consider before having it." He unconsciously played with his hands feeling really unsettled, "And it can …" He paused as he desperately tried to keep his analogy in tact. "Erode your teeth! Yes, having candy can seriously damage your dental hygiene."

"... What does that have to do with anything?" Morgan said as she looked at him funny.

Robin shrugged and said, "Um, its, well it's hard to explain."

Seeing the confused look on her daughter's face, Lucina sighed and waved off her husband to stop. She then placed her hand on Morgan's shoulder and gave a very serious but calming look, "Sweetie. What Robin and I do together feels very special. It's not just an urge that consumes us, but it's a way to express the affection we have for one another. Both of us are in our most vulnerable states, and we know we could do and say a lot of things to hurt the other. Which is why you need to have a lot of trust and care for them."

The young tactician nodded as she silently listened.

"It's a huge emotional investment. All of your fears, insecurities, desires, and doubts show up at once while you lie there. So it feels unbelievably good knowing that the person besides you doesn't care and instead wants to embrace. It makes you happy, and in turn you want to share the same feeling with them."

She exhaled and tried to maintain her composure while saying sincerely, "I won't dismiss it, the physical attraction is something that has a big impact. I know a lot of people like to laugh and make jokes, but there is a good reason so many people talk about it."

Robin looked his daughter in the eye and said with a very caring tone. "However, the reason we encourage you to wait is because the experience has so much more meaning when it's with the person you truly love. Like your mother said, it is not just an urge, but a way to show that you love someone in the most sacred of ways. If you take away this aspect of love and desire, then the event feels hollow. Sure, it might feel nice on the surface, but something is clearly missing."

He shrugged as the awkwardness made him on edge. "I understand that not everyone waits, and that it does work for some, but I personally don't like to take the chance. When your mother and I … sparred for the first time, we did it knowing that we truly wanted to be together for the rest of our lives. When you combine those feelings with the act, it um..." He rubbed the back of his neck nervously and said, "Let's just say it changes how you look at things and it left a lasting memory that neither of us will ever forget."

...

There was an incredibly long silence as the couple waited for Morgan to respond. They weren't ready for this thing kind of thing and Robin was starting to understand how much of a shock it was for Chrom when he discovered he had children.

"Mom, dad, do you really think I will find someone who will make me happy like the way you two always are?" Morgan asked with a blank stare.

"Of course sweetie." Lucina smiled back warmly.

"But not anytime soon." Robin added before his daughter got too many ideas. "Be a kid while you still can Morgan and enjoy it. You're still a few years younger than us we when got together, and even then we had to grow up faster than we would have liked. So don't worry about it too much for now. You have plenty of time to stress out about boys when you are older. I am not sure how Chrom would handle being a great-grandfather anyways."

"Hehe that's true" She smiled back. "Grandpa can hardly talk to me for a minute without feeling old."

"That's probably because you keep calling him that." Lucina replied knowing that even her mother had a habit of doing that now.

"I would never do such a thing!" Morgan acted innocent as the wind itself.

"Uh huh." Her father replied unmoved. "And the time you called him ancient was clearly just a misunderstanding about archaeology."

Morgan started laughing again which relaxed the two tense parents as their discussion seemed to end.

Robin then exhaled in relief and said, "So did we answer your questions?"

"Mhm." The young tactician nodded back. "Thanks."

There was another long pause while her parents tried to relax and settle down.

"Hmmm, but that's weird." Morgan murmured processing all the information given to her today.

"... W-what is?" Lucina hesitantly asked.

"You said today was the 15th." She pondered while counting the days on her finger tips. "I thought the tournament was later this month."

"Oh, um, that's true. The tournament doesn't start until the 19th." Her mother corrected herself. "But it can take up to a week to travel there and we don't have that kind of time."

"That might be the case for an army." Morgan said as a sudden realization hit her. "But I'm sure the three of us could get there quicker! Didn't Henry arrive here in like three days when he came to check up on dad?"

Robin frowned and said. "You are in no condition to go on such a long trip. We also need to register the day before the tournament, and we haven't even stared to pack. I just don't see how it is possible."

"Anything is possible for us!" Morgan practically jumped from her seat, completely ignoring the cane by her side. "Besides, I feel great!" She said while slightly losing her balance. She corrected herself before she could fall, but she was still adjusting to using her legs again. "And I can ride a horse to save my strength."

"No Morgan, that is out of the question." Robin commanded back sternly. "Besides, riding a horse takes more energy than you would think."

"I don't care. I can handle it! In fact, I'll go pack as quick as I can" She shouted excitedly not wanting to miss a chance to travel to a place her parents once fought at. "I'll meet back here in thirty minutes, and then we can head out." With that thought set firmly in her mind, she sprinted away before either of her parents could refuse. Completely ignoring any fatigue or tiredness, she ran for her room to prepare for the journey at the speed of light.

"I guess she is feeling better." Lucina muttered in disbelief at what just transpired.

"Looks like it." Robin shrugged. "But I still don't like the idea of her traveling after just recovering from the curse.

"Yeah." She nodded in agreement, "Although, if she gets too tired we can always head back. It might even do her some good to move around again and take her mind off of things."

"I hope so." He said unsure. "Heaven knows she will be disappointed if we don't go though. She can be so stubborn sometimes."

"I just fear we won't make it in time."

Robin laughed and said, "I don't think our daughter will let that happen. She will probably be yelling us to keep moving in her sleep."

"That does sound like her." Lucina agreed, " I guess we better hurry and pack. Since we are in a rush we want to pack light anyways."

"Right."

"Oh, and Robin." She spoke softly with a fond memory.

"Yes dear?"

She smiled warmly and pecked him on the cheek. "I know it wasn't a big wedding, but it will always be special to me. Thank you so much for being there, and I meant everything I said."

"I did too." He proclaimed with a deep sense of pride. "Every word."
