As they neared the scene Yuu slipped off of Shinsō's back. Shinsō circled around the battle so that way he could come at it from another angle. Yuu adjusted her grip on the Zanpakutō in her hand. She could feel Shinsō's soul inside of it. Yuu tried to connect with Shinsō on a mental level and failed. It looked like the two of them were no longer manifestations of the same Soul but rather two completely different entities.

Yuu crept closer to see what was going on. What she saw caused her to curse. Zangetsu had manifested in the physical world and was fighting Ichigo. Ichigo was undergoing a Hollow transformation and it looked like he had taking leave of his senses.

Just then Hollow-Ichigo managed to send Zangetsu crashing into a pillar. He turned to face Muramasa. Yuu was just about to try knocking Ichigo unconscious when Hollow-Ichigo stared to act like he was having a seizure. The monster started to rip his face off. Yuu smiled as there was an explosion of spiritual pressure; It looked like Ichigo had regained control.

Ichigo emerged from the explosion and fell on to his face. Muramasa stood over Ichigo. Yuu took this chance and prepared to attack the man who had caused so much harm.

"Shoot to kill, Shinsō!"

Yuu's blade rushed to impale Muramasa but Zangetsu blocked the attack. Shinsō came out from the shadows and rushed Ichigo's Zanpakutō. Zangetsu flashed away. Yuu paused for a moment to look at Muramasa and Ichigo. Physically they were both frozen. Yuu figured that Murmasa had entered Ichigo's mind. There was nothing Yuu could do to help her brother so she rushed to confront Zangetsu.

Shinsō was weaponless and was going trying to make contact with Zangetsu's body. Zangetsu kept raising his blade to block the blows. Yuu extended her blade and tried to stop Zangetsu. Yuu continued to fly forward. Once she was next to Shinsō she past him the blade. Yuu hadn't had as much practice with it as he did.

Yuu pointed her had at Zangetsu, "Carriage of thunder; bridge of a spinning wheel; with light divide this into six! Bakudo number 61: Rikujōkōrō!"

The Kidō managed to trap Zangetsu but Yuu didn't expect it to last very long. Zangetsu was powerful. The Kidō was already starting to break.

Yuu didn't waste any time, "Zangetsu, why are you doing this? What happened to protecting Ichigo?"

Zangetsu told Yuu, "He left."

Yuu agreed, "Yes he did. But he came back. Remember? I made you a promise and I kept it."

Zangetsu yelled, "That was Momoiro no Ryū! Not you!"

Shinsō yelled back, "She is Momoiro no Ryū!"

Zangetsu bit back, "No she isn't. Without Kakuchū no Ryū she is just Yuu Katsu!"

Yuu was frozen and stunned. Then her eyes frozen and her spiritual pressure began to whip around her like a whirlwind.

"You're wrong. Kakuchū no Ryū is the spectrum. Momoiro no Ryū is part of the spectrum but outside of it as well."

Yuu raised her arms as her ankles came together. She crossed her wrist and clasped her hands. Her wings extended out and curved behind her; the tips pointed straight at the sky. The whirlwind became tighter. Yuu pointed her face to the sky and closed her eyes.

Yuu cursed herself. She should have known that she could still change into her combat form. She was Momoiro no Ryū; that had nothing to do with Kakuchū no Ryū. She cursed herself again, for ever thinking that she had abused Kakuchū no Ryū. Yes she had depended on them but they had depended on her.

Yuu flipped her head down as her eyes snapped open, "Be true, Momoiro no Ryū."

The spiritual pressure that was spinning around Yuu condensed and they exploded outward. As soon as the dust cleared Shinsō checked to make sure Yuu was fine.

Yuu was still standing with her arms and wings still stretched out to the sky. Shinsō was stunned that there were no unexpected changes. Yuu was wearing her pink jumpsuit and her silver scaled armor and boots. Her circlet glinted and the pink gem flashed. Yuu's eyes flash froze as she slowly lowered her arms. Shinsō was right; nothing had changed. For the first time since Muramasa appeared Yuu was confident, strong capable and, determined to win.

Yuu's wings came out like Yuu was prepared to take flight. Yuu reached out with her left hand and grabbed the sword made of pink light that looked like her first Zanpakutō.

Yuu began to scold Zangetsu, "I am Momoiro no Ryū! I made you a promise and I kept it. Ichigo has come back to you. So why are you siding with Muramasa?" Yuu narrowed her eyes, "Or do you not know?"

Zangetsu scowled, "Ichigo has never given me anything! Muramasa set me free!"

Yuu laughed a cheerless laugh, "Ichigo gave you his trust. Alright he followed the traditional route but he cares for you. Muramasa turned you against Ichigo. He's using you Zangetsu! Did you want to rebel before or after Muramasa ripped you from Ichigo's soul?"

Zangetsu didn't answer; he charged Yuu. That was how Yuu knew that her questions had hit home. Yuu brought Shinsō in front of her to block Zangetsu's blow. Yuu sent out a whip of pink light to wrap around Zangetsu's wrist. Yuu yanked on it and caused Zangetsu's blade to skate across Yuu's.

Zangetsu yanked way from Yuu as Shinsō sent his blade to attack his fellow Zanpakutō. Zangetsu twisted so that way Yuu was between him and Shinsō. In response Yuu took flight. She rotated and moved to attack Zangetsu from above. Zangetsu flashed out of the way and Yuu crashed into the ground. Yuu didn't bother to swear. Yuu placed her right hand flat ground and swung her feet around.

Yuu missed and scowled. She had fought against Ichigo before, in training, but, she had never fought against Zangetsu. He was calmer than Ichigo and seemed to response to her moves. Shinsō kept sending his blade out to attack Zangetsu but, Ichigo's Zanpakutō kept shifting to put Yuu between them.

Yuu changed her strategy. She started laying down disks of her spiritual pressure as she darted around Zangetsu, trying to land even a single attack. Soon she had put down as many disks as she could. Yuu flew backwards and let her pink sword vanish.

Yuu landed next to Shinsō and tossed out her hands. A pink streamer shot from each of the disks. In the blink of an eye Zangetsu was wrapped in about a dozen pink lines. Yuu smirked and so did Shinsō. Shinsō got ready to send his blade at him.

Yuu stopped him, "Don't kill him."

Shinsō asked, "I knew that. But we have to stop him. He'll break free soon enough."

Yuu considered that, "Slice his Achilles tendons."

Shinsō nodded, "By your order."

Yuu declared, "Shoot to kill, Shinsō!"

Shinsō sent his blade forward and for once made contact. Zangetsu collapsed in pain. Yuu collapsed and reluctantly called her spiritual pressure back to her. Then Zangetsu did something unexpected; he flashed away.

Yuu turned to see that Ichigo had woken up. It appeared that her brother had tried to attack Muramasa but, Zangetsu had blocked the attack. Shinsō was about to go assist Ichigo but, Yuu grabbed his arm.

Shinsō turned his head to look at Yuu, "Yuu?"

Yuu explained, "This is Ichigo's fight. Besides we have something more important to do."

Shinsō hissed, "Muramasa!"

Yuu nodded and let Shinsō go. The Zanpakutō flew forward to attack the enemy. Muramasa held out his hand and Shinsō froze. Yuu flew forward and around to attack him from behind. Yuu found herself frozen as well.

Muramasa turned to speak to her, "So you have already managed to regain control of your Zanpakutō."

Shinsō spat, "Yuu never tried to control me! I fight with her because she has always cared! Not like you!"

Muramasa answered, "Ah yes, Yuu Katsu. I'm not surprised. Were you aware that I couldn't even get into your mind? Even Head-Captain Yamamoto's mind was easy to enter. Until I had physical contact I couldn't break you. I haven't had to do that since I was young."

Yuu exclaimed, "Oh. No wonder I could use Shi Kai when the other Officers couldn't. You hadn't taken my Zanpakutō spirits yet." Yuu eyes froze, "But your real goal is the Head-Captain's Zanpakutō."

Shinsō declared, "I get it! You never chained us to you so it was easy for him to pull us from your inner world. Head-Captain Yamamoto must have to keep a tight rein on Ryūjin Jakka. That's making it difficult for Muramasa to control it."

Yuu didn't care much for Head-Captain Yamamoto, but she did respect him, so she rushed to his defense, "I'm not sure letting Ryūjin Jakka loose is a good idea."

Shinsō agreed, "I don't think so either."

Then Yuu saw something from the corner of her eyes. There was a pool of blood and in the red reflection Yuu saw a plethora of cords going from Muramasa and wrapping around Yuu.

Yuu smirked. Murmasa was using cords of spiritual pressure to control and freeze her and Shinsō. The lines weren't visible but their reflections gave them away. All Yuu could do was move her mouth but, that didn't mean she couldn't do anything. Yuu was Momoiro no Ryū, a dragon of light and, reflection was one of the most basic principles.

With a scream, Yuu let out a burst of power. What she was doing was instinct. So much of her power was instinct, not control. Yuu was okay with that, she wasn't a Soul Reaper; she was Half-Dead. Muramasa's eyes became wide as his spiritual pressure cords became visible. Yuu continued to scream, ignoring her vocal cords protests. Inch by inch Yuu walked away from Muramasa and Shinsō followed her lead. With one last shout from Yuu, the cords snapped.

Yuu didn't waste any time. She took to the air and created her original blade in pink light. Yuu crashed down on Muramasa. There was an explosion of spiritual pressure and he used the confusion to flash away. Yuu landed in a crouched position and turned to look at the source of the explosion. Shinsō landed next to her.

It looked like Ichigo had been victorious against Zangetsu. Yuu decided that Ichigo's Inner Hollow must have helped him. The explosion was shaped like Ichigo's Hollow mask. Yuu cocked her head to the side. That would be an interesting story.

The four combatants made a triangle. Yuu and Shinsō were one point and Ichgio and Muramasa were the other two points. Ichigo turned to face Muramasa and Yuu was left to stare at the both of them.

Yuu pushed up and said "Shinsō."

Shinsō understood the order and prepared to repeat everything that was said.

Ichigo said, "You're next Muramasa!"

Muramasa responded, "Um, Ichigo Kurosaki. Didn't you have any misgivings about destroying your own Zanpakutō?"

Ichigo answered, "Not one."

Muramasa was taken aback, "What?"

Ichigo explained, "I Know Zangetsu better than anyone. I knew he wouldn't run away from me; that he would take on my attack head on. That's why there was no way I could run away from a battle and turn my back one him. Our bond is our strength."

Muramasa asked, "Did you think you regain control of him the same way Yuu Katsu regained control of her Zanpakutō?"

Yuu bit back laughter as Ichigo said, "No. I bet you Yuu didn't fight Shinsō. I bet you she did something stupid that knocked him back to his senses. Zangetsu and my bond might be our strength but Kakuchū no Ryū and Yuu draw power from their ability to trust. Shinsō too.

Muramasa didn't respond to that. He looked shocked as his hand came up to cover his mouth. He started to fade out.

Ichigo asked, "What's happening?"

Muramasa said, "Your bond is your strength, power from trust, fascinating." Muramasa started to cough again, "It seems I've toyed with you for too long. It is best that I move on."

Ichigo demanded, "Hey, what are you doing?"

Muramasa said one last thing as he vanished, "Until we meet again."

Zangetsu appeared and Ichigo asked, "Are you okay Zangetsu?"

Yuu and Shinsō hurried over as Zangetsu answered, "Yes, I will be okay now. His mind control is broken."

Ichigo asked, "Mind control?"

Zangetsu explained, "Muramasa. It appears he was able to control the Zanpakutōs by awaking our darkest instincts and bringing them to the surface of our minds."

Ichigo questioned, "Hold on, are you saying that all the other Zanpakutōs are under his control?"

Yuu answered that one, "Yes."

Then the Leader of the Karakura gave his Right-Hand a single order, "Explain."

Yuu obliged, "Muramasa is kidnapping and brainwashing our Zanpakutō."

Ichigo cut in, "He's a Zanpakutō."

Yuu said, "Oh. That's good to know. Anyways, some Zanpakutōs, like Rukia's, I'm guessing Lieutenant Hinamori's and, not to put too fine a point on it, mine, were easy to rip away. The drawback is that we will have an easier time of setting out Zanpakutō free."

Ichigo asked "What about Zanpakutōs there were difficult to pull away?"

Yuu answered, "People like Third seat Madarme, Fifth seat Ayasegawa and Head-Captain Yamamoto are going to have an extremely difficult time regaining control."

Ichigo could help but ask, "And does your opinion of them decrease because they are seeking to limit their Zanpakutōs power."

Yuu answered, "Fifth seat Ayasegawa, yes. Third seat Madarame, I don't know. Head-Captain Yamamoto definitely not." Yuu raised her eyebrow. "I mean do you want Ryūjin Jakka running around like Kakuchū no Ryū does?"

Ichigo shook his head, "That would be bad."

Yuu nodded once, "Exactly."

Ichigo had to ask, "Speaking of Kakuchū no Ryū, will you be able to set them free?"

Yuu nodded, "Yeah, It will be easy for me. Everybody else will have to beat their Zanpakutō back into submission. All I'll have to do is talk to them. That's how I set Shinsō free."

Ichigo pressed, "Are you sure?"

Yuu answered, "95 percent sure."

Zangetsu asked, "What are you going to do now?"

Ichigo scoffed, "Isn't it obvious?"

Yuu continued, "We're going to find Murmasa."

Ichigo finished, "And end this!"

**Scene Change**

Yuu sat in the corner of the room at the Fourth division. She had been chained to her chair by Captain Unohana. Yuu considered herself lucky. The Captain had allowed her to pick where she wanted to be chained. Yuu had picked Shūhei's room.

Shūhei had been injured by Kazeshini. Izuru had performed field first aid on Shūhei but he still needed treatment at the Fourth division. When Ichigo and Yuu went to see Rukia, Yuu was confronted by Captain Unohana's death glare. Yuu didn't even fight the chains and overly-sweet tea.

Shinsō finally managed to retreat to Yuu's mind and his wakizashi form. Shinsō was adept at hiding his emotions but Yuu could sense his amusement. Yuu scowled as she worked in her sketch book. Over the years her style had changed from blocks of color to detailed scenes. Yuu kept looking at the sleeping Shūhei; trying to get the details just right.

Yuu yelped as a blue light streaked into the room from outside. The light darted around the room. Yuu tried to stop it but couldn't move very far from the chair. The light moved to circle Yuu and she finally got a good look at it.

Yuu was confident her voice betrayed her confusion, "Ao?"

It was Ao no Ryū. The true blue dragon was alone and seemed agitated. The Eastern style dragon landed on Yuu's shoulder and sunk its claws into Yuu's shoulder. It seemed like Ao no Ryū was trying to tell Yuu something.

Yuu said, "I can't hear you Ao. Muramasa broke our mental connection and my physical hearing has been gone for almost two years"

Ao no Ryū landed on Yuu's sketch book and Yuu flipped to a blank page. Ao no Ryū picked up a blue pencil and started to write. When the healer finished Yuu held up the book to read the message.

"I heard that Shūhei was hurt. I came to help."

Yuu forced herself to be suspicious, "Why? Aren't you on Muramasa's side?"

Ao no Ryū wrote another message, "I'm so sorry. You must be feeling so guilty."

Yuu sputtered, "Why would I feel guilty?"

Ao no Ryū was exasperated, "I know you, Yuu!"

Yuu pushed her original point, "But what about Muramasa?"

Ao no Ryū stressed, "He took us. It took me long enough to remember that but he took us and then brainwashed us."

Ao no Ryū flew up and nuzzled Yuu's cheek. Yuu closed her eyes to fight the tears. She felt joy that Ao no Ryū had broken free and despair that the other seven spirits were still trapped. It didn't surprise Yuu that Ao no Ryū had broken free on its own or first. Ao no Ryū was the most compassionate and that gave the blue dragon strength.

Yuu whispered, "Ao no Ryū, I'm so glad you're okay!"

Ao no Ryū sank into its earring and Yuu heard the healer in her mind, /I'm home!/

Yuu murmured, "Welcome back."

Ao no Ryū asked, /Shūhei?/

Yuu told the dragon, "You're a little too late. He's already been seen by a Fourth division medic."

/Well that's good./

Just then Renji came in. Yuu tried to stand respectfully only for the chain to yank her back down. Renji laughed and Yuu scowled in response.

Renji signed, "So I guess it's true. Captain Unohana did chain you to a chair."

Yuu scowled, "How did you find out."

Renji explained, "I just came from reporting to Captain Unohana, Captain Ukitake and, Captain Kyōraku. Ichigo was there. I asked him if he had seen you and he said you had been chained to a chair in Shūhei's room. He asked me to tell you that he was going to look for Captain Kuchiki."

Yuu sighed as she ran her fingers though her hair, "That's our job."

Just then a woman in a green fur body suit with purple hair and a little boy in a white outfit with pink hair came in. Yuu didn't need Renji to tell her that they were his Zanpakutō, Zabimaru.

Yuu said, "So you got your Zanpakutō back. Congratulations."

Renji nodded, "Yep. You aren't going to like the solution."

Yuu scowled, "I am the one who explained it to Ichigo. And Ao no Ryū came back on its own. I officially break all of the rules."

Renji asked, "Do you think that is true for all Half-Deads or just you?"

Yuu shrugged, "I've never meet another Half-Dead and Experiment 191409 is missing a lot of information. I do know that I exist both inside and outside the rules."

Renji perked up, "That sounds pretty good."

Yuu scowled again, "It's not as fun as it sounds. I have a bad feeling I haven't faced even a fraction of the consequences."

Renji got serious, "On to business," Yuu did her best to stand at attention and Lieutenant Abarai continued, "Third seat Katsu."

Yuu said, "Yes sir, Lieutenant Abarai?"

"I am charging you with finding our missing Captain, Captain Kuchiki."

Yuu nodded, "Yes sir!"

Renji held out a key and bent down to unlock the chain on Yuu's ankles. Yuu closed her sketch book and placed her art supplies on the table next to Shūhei. Yuu brushed a soft kiss on her Soul Mates forehead and then followed her Lieutenant out of the Fourth division barracks. Once outside the two Officers of the Sixth division nodded to each other and took off in opposite directions. They had a Captain to find.

**Scene Change**

Yuu flew over the Seireitei and scowled. What she wouldn't give to have Daidaiiro no Ryū by her side. Even though she registered every tiny detail in her field of vision she had never felt so blind.

Yuu asked Ao no Ryū, "Where is everybody else?"

Ao no Ryū said, /I don't know. I tried to get them to come back with me but most of them looked at me like I was crazy. Midori said it was staying behind to see if it could discover anything more about Muramasa./

Yuu confirmed, "So Midori is on our side?"

Ao no Ryū responded, /Yep. Midori said that we were twins. If I believed that we have been kidnapped that was good enough./

Yuu could feel her concern leak into her voice, "So we're ten manifestations of the same Soul. I never left, Shinsō just needed to be reminded that Muramasa took him against his will and, you and Midori figured it out on your own. That's four out of ten. Six more to go."

Ao no Ryū sent waves of positive emotions out, /We'll save them. I know it!/

Yuu was about to respond when she felt Ichigo's spiritual pressure. Yuu sighed in frustration. Searching for someone via their spiritual pressure was like listen to a radio. You had to carefully tune yourself to catch the spiritual pressure. Then idiots like Ichigo would release their spiritual pressure and the signal would be lost.

Yuu flew over to where she felt Ichigo fighting. Yuu landed on a roof and looked down. Her brother was fighting another Zanpakutō spirits. This one was overweight with red hair gelled into five spikes. He was wearing a blue cape and a dark blue pair of pants. It took Yuu about half a second to figure out that it out that he was Lieutenant Ōmaeda's Zanpakutō, Gegetsuburi.

Yuu groaned. She was tired of fighting Zanpakutōs She really just wanted to find her Captain. She wasn't unduly worried. Captain Kuchiki had said that he was planning something cream-colored. Yuu was confident that when she was supposed to know what was going on she would.

Yuu was disappointed it looked like she had gotten there just as the battle started and ended. Gegetsuburi may have been trained by a member of the Onmitsukidō but, Ichigo had trained with Yuu. The Onmitsukidō were good but Yuu was better.

Yuu tuned to see Ikkaku Madarame fighting his Zanpakutō, Hōzukimaru. He had brown skin and long orange hair. He also had an orange beard and wrist tufts. He was wearing a white toga and was bare footed. Ikkaku wasn't even using Shi Kai while Hōzukimaru was using Ban Kai. Just then Ikkaku was sent crashing into the stone steps.

Yuu couldn't hear what the two boys said next but she didn't need to. Ichigo was trying to assist Ikkaku in the battle and the Third seat wasn't having that. Yuu was surprised that Ichigo had even tried. Members of the Eleventh Division believed in the honor of the one-on-one battle.

Yuu didn't move as the Onmitsukidō rushed past her to surround Hōzukimaru. Captain Ukitake and Captain Kyōraku joined Captain Suì-Fēng. Yuu watched. It was apparent that Ikkaku was protesting the Onmitsukidō's involvement. Hōzukimaru and Ikkaku got into an argument. Hōzukimaru swung his Ban Kai and let out a burst of spiritual pressure. When it vanished the Zanpakutō was gone.

Yuu was not interested in that. Ichigo was chasing after Hōzukimaru. Yuu followed along the rooftops. Yuu watched as Ichigo was consumed by a whirlwind of pink blades. Yuu quickly looked for the source. She soon found it. Captain Kuchiki was standing on a rooftop a few yards in front of her; he wasn't wearing his Captain's coat. The Captain flashed away and Yuu jumped down to stand next to Ichigo.

Ichigo turned to ask, "Was that Captain Kuchiki?" Yuu nodded and Ichigo asked another question, "Why wasn't he wearing his Captain's coat?"

Yuu answered, "He said he was planning something cream-colored."

Ichigo got serious, "Right. We best be on our toes. See if you can track him down."

Yuu nodded and took flight. Captain Kuchiki was fast but, he couldn't have gotten too far ahead. If Captain Kuchiki was planning something cream-colored it had to be for one of three reasons. One: to protect Rukia. Rukia was safely confined to the Fourth division barracks so that couldn't be it. Two: He had been ordered to. That wasn't right. He had told his Third seat he was planning something before the Gotei 13 had time to discuss battle plans.

Yuu whispered to herself, "It has to be honor."

Somehow Muramasa was threating the honor of the Kuchiki Clan. Yuu made a decision. If she couldn't find Captain Kuchiki; she was headed straight to the Kuchiki Clan Archives. Captain Kuchiki had given her access to his family's records because Yuu absorbed information like a dry sponge. Sending Yuu to find something in the archives was a sure way of getting her out from under foot until someone went to find her.

Yuu swore as she lost track of Captain Kuchiki. Yuu hovered for a moment; her wings slowly opening and closing. Yuu bit her lip and headed towards the Kuchiki Manor. She had to see if she could find out if there was any recorded of a Zanpakutō named Muramasa in the archives. Maybe if she discovered his past Yuu could figure out what Murmasa was planning.

Author's note: LadyAnnaLee here. Happy Wednesday! Is it just me or does this chapter feel like a filler? Anyways, Ao no Ryū came back and Yuu's about to figure it out. Two people are following and made this story a favorite; yellowsubmarinee and Rwisher. Kage no Asashin reviewed. If I remember correctly we get to see what she's never done before in the next chapter. DevilJinSarutobi reviewed. I am glad you liked it. Finally GothChick88 reviewed. Your reviews always make my day. Anyhow that's all for now. Love LadyAnnaLee.

Btw I don't own Bleach but I did think up Yuu and her Kakuchū no Ryū.
