Best Friends Forever

Episode 49- "Christmas Miracles Do Really Hapen"

AN: I am doing episode 50.

In this chapter we get to meet Jayleigh and Hailey's daughters Ryleigh and Jamie.

How exciting!

Massachusetts General Hospital, Wednesday, December 24th, 2030, 12:12am

Natalie's Hospital Room

Natalie continued to glare at her boyfriend, who felt like he was six feet under. He didn't mean to put her through this, the pain, the pregnancy or get her pregnant at fifteen. He felt so bad for her. He felt more guilty than ever. Seeing her in pain like this makes his heart break. Everything is getting real. Jayleigh is about to make her way into the world. He is going to be a father in a matter of minutes. Is he ready? Is Natalie ready? Well, she's exhausted, tired and just wants this to be all over already. He squeezed her hand slightly, but in his surprise, she squeezed it tightly.

"I...I'm sorry for yelling at you…" She said in a sweet and tired voice. "I'm scared…"

Noah kissed her head. "I know, baby. It's really okay. You can yell at me all my life…"

Annie looked at them. "Are you ready?"

Natalie looked at Noah, who nodded his head. "Come on, babe. Let's welcome our little girl into the world."

Natalie nodded slowly. "Okay…"

Annie smiled. "The epidural you got a few hours ago may be in full effect. I want you to bend your knees slightly and then give me a big push, okay?"

Natalie nodded as she bent her knees and began to push as hard as she could. Tears began falling down her face two minutes later. Her mother, sister and Aunt Maya weren't kidding when they said it hurts like a bitch.

It did hurt so much. No wonder they call it labor...It takes everything you got out of you.

She glared at her boyfriend. "Noah, I fucking don't want you to touch me ever again!"

Noah just nodded, not wanting to make her more upset at him than she already is. "I'm sorry…"

Natalie groaned and moaned in pain as she stopped. Breathing heavily, she looked at Noah.

"Come on, babe! You can do it. Give it all you got." He said, squeezing her hand back and kissing her head.

Natalie nodded her head as sweat began falling down her face. Tears were still falling down her face. She just wanted all of this to be over so she wasn't pregnant anymore.

Annie smiled. "That's it, Natalie! You're doing great! Her head is crowning perfectly." She looked at her. "You can give me another push! I know you can."

Natalie breathed deeply, breathing in and then out slowly, just like the teacher told her to do. She let a scream, like she was screaming bloody murder.

Noah groaned slightly, closing his eyes, not wanting to see Natalie in so much pain. This part was killing him.

She pushed with all of her might. Seemed like forever before Annie pulled out her daughter.

Jayleigh didn't cry.

Natalie's eyes teared up with more tears. Surprisingly, she had any left. What was wrong with her baby girl? "What's wrong? Why didn't she cry?"

The nurses rushed Jayleigh to the NIU.

Annie sighed. "Her umbilicord cord was wrapped around her neck. She couldn't breathe right. She'll be alright."

Natalie nodded as she looked at Noah. It felt like he was millions of miles away.

"Noah?"

Noah snapped out of his trace. "Huh?"

Natalie smiled. "We have our little girl. She'll be fine…"

Noah smiled back at her. "I heard her, babe. I'm glad you and Jay are okay."

Natalie smiled again. "Me too."

Noah leaned down and kissed her. "I love you."

She kept smiling. "I love you too."

Thirty minutes later, Annie wheeled Jayleigh into the room, picked her up and walked to Natalie, handing her daughter to her.

"Congratulations guys. She's perfect."

Natalie smiled as she rubbed her fingers over her daughter's head. "She's beautiful. She looks just like me and Noah."

Annie laughed. "That she does."

Jayleigh Noah Sanchez- December 24th, 2030, weighs 7 pounds and 7 ounces. She had brown hair, but her eyes were a light blue, her eye hair will change when she grows up.

Noah smiled over at his daughter. "She's so beautiful, just like her Mommy."

Annie walked out of the room to give them some alone time with their new baby.

Natalie kissed her daughter's head. "I love you, Jayleigh."

Noah leaned in and kissed Natalie. "I love you, my girls."

Out in the waiting room, Kayleigh looked at her sister when she came back from the bathroom with her daughter. "Have you heard anything?"

Karina shook her head. "No."

Kayleigh groaned as she sat back in her seat. "Damn…" She picked up Brayden. "Do you need a change, buddy?"

Brayden gave a grin.

Jake laughed. "I think he does. I'll take him."

Kayleigh handed him Brayden and the diaper bag. "Here."

Jake smiled. "Thanks, babe." Jake walked to the bathroom.

A few minutes later, Noah walked into the waiting room, he was surrounded by everyone.

Bailey was the first to speak up. "Did she have the baby?"

Noah nodded happily. "She did. Jayleigh was 7 pounds and 7 ounces. Natalie is spending some time with her right now. Natalie is breastfeeding her so when she's done, I'll bring her out so she can meet her family."

Cody nodded. "Did you hear anything about Hailey?"

Bailey looked at her husband. "Cody, he just saw Natalie give birth. I don't think he had any time to see Hailey. We'll find out about her soon."

Noah nodded. "Thank you, Bailey. I haven't heard anything, but I heard her scream bloody murder a few times, so she shouldn't be that far from giving birth herself."

Alleeah gave a sigh. "Oh thank goodness. Okay…"

Meanwhile, Hailey's Hospital Room, 12:30am

Hailey groaned in pain as her doctor looked at her. "Alright, Hailey. You are ready to push. Are you ready?"

Hailey squeezed Hunter's hand. "I guess so...Yeah…"

The doctor smiled. "Alright. Give me a big push."

Hailey nodded as she squeezed Hunter's hand and moaned in pain. She gave a big push and continued to push.

When you never been to a class that you're supposed to go to, the labor is just as hard. That's what Hailey was going through because she never knew she was pregnant. And here's the hardest thing, she is having twins. Twice the babies, twice the diapers, wipes, cribs, and clothes and bottles. She wasn't ready or even prepared for this! Well, ready or not, they're coming right now.

Hunter smiled at her. She was doing amazing and he was loving how amazing she was taking the pain. "Come on, babe. You can do this!"

Hailey sighed deeply as she gave a big push as she breathed deeply. Sweat was falling down her face. It wasn't a pretty scene. "Oh my God!" She screamed.

Zack sighed as he saw his daughter in so much pain. "It's okay, baby. I know it hurts…"

Hailey glared at her father. "Dad? Will you shut the hell up? You don't know how much this fucking hurts!"

Zack nodded. He didn't want to upset his daughter more.

Maya rubbed her husband's shoulder. "Why don't you go give everyone an update? I'm sure they are wondering how she's doing…"

Zack nodded his head. He walked out of the delivery room, breathing heavy. Man, he never thought he'd see that again.

Waiting Room, 12:40am

Everyone was getting restless not knowing anything since Noah came out to tell them that Jayleigh was here.

When Zack came walking out to the waiting room, everyone looked at him.

Kayleigh was more concerned. "So?"

Zack sighed. "Hailey's labor has started…"

Kayleigh was confused. "How is that possible? She's been in labor for hours! Is she pushing?"

Zack nodded slowly. He was so out of it that it had looked like he saw a ghost. "Yes, she is…"

Kayleigh walked up to her uncle, grabbing his arm, helping him sit down.

Jake gave him a glass of water.

Kayleigh sighed. "I think you need to sit down, Uncle Zack. I think you need a break." She paused. "So, she's having the twins now right?"

Zack nodded slowly. "Yes, she is. But I've told your Aunt Maya I'd give an update on her…"

Kayleigh nodded. "I understand. But, you are a little out of it. She's been in labor for 12 hours now. She should be in labor for 13 hours because she's having twins…" She rubbed his back.

Zack smiled and kissed his niece's head. "Thanks, sweetheart."

Kayleigh smiled back. "No problem."

Hailey's Delivery Room, December 24th, 2030, 12:45am

The doctor smiled. "The baby's head is right here. Come on, give me a big push!"

Hailey nodded as she pushed as hard as she could. She groaned loudly and then let out of a sigh of relief when she heard a cry from her daughter. "Oh, finally."

Hunter smiled. "She's beautiful. Just like her momma." He kissed her head.

Hailey smiled. "Thanks."

Ten minutes of resting, Hailey was back at pushing. She had tears and sweat running down her face.

"Ugh! Oh God! Hunter, I hate you right now! I'm never letting you touch me again!"

Hunter took a deep breath and exhaled.

Hailey gave a final big push and heard her second daughter cry. "Ugh! Done...It's over!"

Maya smiled. "I'm so proud of you, Hailey."

Hailey rested her head down on her pillow, full of sweat. "Thanks, Momma."

Hunter smiled. "Got any ideas on what we are going to name them?"

Hailey smiled. "I like Ryleigh for our first daughter. How about you?"

Hunter smiled. "I like Jamie for the second one."

Hailey smiled brightly when the twins were placed in her arms. "Ryleigh and Jamie."

Hunter smiled. "They're beautiful just like you."

Hailey smiled tiredly. "Thanks, babe."

Maya smiled. "What are their middle names?"

Hailey smiled. "Ryleigh Nicole and Jamie Lynn Martin-Kingston."

Maya smiled. "I love the names sweetheart." She looked at her daughter. "How did you come up with them?"

Hailey smiled. "My middle name is Nicole and I like Lynn."

Maya smiled. "Oh, I love the names..."

Hailey smiled. "Thanks Mom."

Maya smiled and kissed her head. "You're welcome baby."

Twenty minutes later, 1:15am, Waiting Room

Maya walked into the waiting room to see her family facing her now.

Zack walked over to her. "So, May? Did she give birth?"

Maya nodded. "Yep. We have two granddaughters, Ryleigh Nicole and Jamie Lynn Martin-Kingston." She sighed as she sat down. "She did great."

Zack nodded. "Are you okay, May?" He asked.

Maya nodded. "Yeah. I'm fine…Just tired...I saw our 15 year old daughter give birth! Am I not allowed to feel a little exhausted?"

He sighed. "I'm sorry I walked out on Hailey before she had the twins…"

Maya smiled. "It's fine. You were feeling a little uncomfortable. I understand."

Noah walked out with Jayleigh in his arms. "This little princess wants to meet all of you."

Kayleigh smiled. "She's here!"

Jayleigh smiled and reached for her aunt Kayleigh.

Noah laughed. "She's been here for an hour now. She had some breathing problems, but she's okay. 7 pounds and 7 ounces."

Kayleigh smiled. "Aww she's so cute." She looked at Noah and grinned. "She's totally gonna be a heartbreaker when she grows up!"

Noah sighed. "Don't remind me. She looks just like Nat."

Kayleigh smiled and laughed. "I think she looks like you both." She holds out her arms. "May I hold her?"

Noah nodded. "Of course." He handed her to Kayleigh.

Cody smiled. "I'm next after you."

Kayleigh giggled and nodded. "Okay Daddy!"

Jake laughed. "Look who has a change of heart, huh?"

Cody looked at him. "You both are dating my daughters. I can change that in a second..."

Kayleigh laughed. "Daddy, we got children with them..."

Cody laughed. "I'm kidding Kay. I won't change it for the world I love all my grandchildren equally." He smiled at his wife. "Right, Bails?"

Bailey nodded. "They are all beautiful...and handsome."

Jake, Kayleigh and Noah smiled. "Thanks."

Kayleigh rocked Jayleigh. "You got an overprotective daddy, uncle, and cousins. Be strong."

Jayleigh smiled slightly and coos.

Kayleigh smiled and kissed her head, then handed her to her father. "And Grandpa, too."

Cody smiled and nodded. "Exactly."

Jayleigh frowned but then coos.

James smiled. "Count Uncle James in too." He walked over to his father and looked at his niece. "You should be happy Jay that all of us guys were overprotective of you."

Kayleigh frowned. "How come you never felt that way when I had the twins James?"

James smiled. "I...Well, you scared me..."

Kayleigh rolled her eyes. "Well, that's...That's true. I was scary..."

James glared at her. "Well at least you're admitted it." He took a deep breath and looked at his dad. "After you and Mom, it'll be my turn, okay."

Cody nodded. "Everyone can get a turn." He gently handed her to his wife.

Bailey smiled slightly as she looked at her granddaughter. "You're aren't kidding, she does look a lot like Nat and Noah both. May Jesus have mercy when she's a teenager. She along with Braylen, Selena and her cousins would be breaking a lot of hearts."

Noah groaned. He looked up. "Praise Lord she doesn't break that many!"

Jake nodded. "Me too." He looked at James. "You got your water gun still? We're gonna need it."

James nodded seriously. "Of course."

Noah nodded. "Oh thank God!"

Cole sighed. "I'm there with ya too. The girls may not be blood to me, but I'll treat them as if they are."

Jake nodded. "Cole you are their Uncle Cole. You're like a brother to Noah and I as well and the others are like sisters to Kay and Nat and the others, so yeah welcome to the family Cole. You and Alli are pretty serious."

Alli laughed. "He is my boyfriend and stepfather to Jackson and Selena." She smiled. "You are family. Ensley is like my niece/daughter."

Cole smiled and hugged her. "Thanks, Ails."

Alli smiled. "After James, I'm next!"

Bailey kissed her head and gently placed Jayleigh in James's arms.

James smiled at Jayleigh. "Yeah, she's beautiful and I'm totally not kidding. I would help you out." He looked at Noah. "Okay."

Noah nodded. "Thanks, bro." He smiled. "Merry Christmas Eve Day everyone."

Dani smiled and claps her hands excitedly. "Merry Christmas Eve Day! Jayleigh really is a Christmas Miracle!" She walked over and smiled at her niece and then gave Noah a hug. "Congrats."

Noah laughed. "She's a Christmas Eve Day baby." He sighed. "Great...I'm gonna be spending twice...Christmas gifts and birthday presents!"

Evie walked over and gave him a hug. "Even so, but it's all worth it, right?"

Cody sighed. "She's not wrong, Noah. I started saving for Kayleigh's car and party when she was two."

Noah nodded. "Thanks, Cody, I'll do the same."

Jake laughed. "I started saving for Braylen's car...or their car...I'm saving for two just in case they hate each other..."

Kayleigh smiled slightly and gave him a hug. "Good idea."

Jake kissed her head. "Please don't have any more babies until I'm saved all the way to have enough for both Bray's and Brayden's cars..."

Kayleigh giggled and nodded. "Okay."

Jayleigh frowned and then burped.

James smiled. "Yes! She's got the guy burp! Awesome!"

Bailey smiled and laughed slightly. "Oh James."

Jayleigh began to whimper.

Noah sighed and walked over to James. "Let me see her."

James nodded as he gave Jayleigh to Noah. "Here."

Noah placed her on his shoulder and began to burp her. "I guess she needed to burp again."

James nodded. "Oh okay. I didn't realize."

Noah rubbed her back. "Natalie is resting now. She's in recovery."

Dani smiled. "And, Jay? Is she sleeping?"

Noah looked at her. "Yeah. She fell asleep in my arms now. I should go sit down in Natalie's room and get some sleep. I'll be back soon."

Bailey nodded her head. "Okay."

Zack looked at Maya. "What are the twins names?"

Maya smiled. "Honey, I just said their names didn't I?"

Zack sighed. "Sorry May I'd like to hear it again, please?" He smiled at her.

Maya laughed. "How about you come meet them?" She looked at everyone. "Kids? You want to come to meet your new nieces?"

They all nodded. "Yes, Mom."

After having Cody, Bailey and Kayleigh and Karina watch the triplets, Maya took her husband and oldest children to meet their new nieces.

Hailey's Recovery Room, 1:00am

Hailey was resting with her daughters in her arms when she saw her mother, father and siblings at the door.

"Come on in, guys."

They all walked inside and Zack smiled when he saw his granddaughters. "They're beautiful Hails, just like you!"

Hailey smiled. "Thank you. Are you okay, Daddy? You were a little...on edge a bit awhile ago..."

Zack nodded. "Yeah I am sweetheart. Just a little shocked."

Hailey laughed. "So am I...And I gave birth to them..." She looked at her siblings. "Guys, I' d like for you to meet Ryleigh Nicole and Jamie Lynn."

Alleeah smiled and walked over. "They're so beautiful, Hails they're seriously gonna be heartbreakers along with Selena when they grow up."

Zack and Tommy cleared their throats.

Zack shook his head. "I think not. I think they will be fine with waiting until they're 40!"

Hunter nodded in agreement. "I totally agree with you guys."

Maya rolled her eyes. "Oh please. 23!"

Alli sighed. "Well, I can't say me too because I got pregnant before meeting you...but I agree to 23."

Zack took a deep breath and sighed. "Okay you do have a point there, Ails."

Alleeah smiled. "Can we hold them now?"

Hailey nodded as she gave Ryleigh to her sister. "Of course."

Alleeah smiled. "Oh wow! They look such alike!"

Hailey laughed. "They are identical twins. Like Daddy, Uncle Cody, and Alli and you and Kayleigh and Karina."

Tommy nodded. "Yeah, so which is which?"

Hailey smiled. "Alleeah is holding Ryleigh and I'm holding Jamie. The way you can tell them apart is Ryleigh has a birthmark on her left side of her neck and Jamie has one on her right."

Alli laughed. "Wow. I'm glad I had both a daughter and a son."

Zack wrapped his arm around his son. "That means you'll be overprotective of them."

Natalie's Room, 1:15am

Natalie was fast asleep now in her hospital bed.

Noah walked inside and sat on the couch and then carefully layed down with a sleeping Jayleigh in his arms, finally he was asleep too.

He decided to let Natalie sleep through the night since she did go through hell for the past eight months of pregnancy, 12 hours of labor and pushing their daughter out and bringing her into the world. He was up four times that night.

A few hours later, December 24th, 2030, Natalie's Hospital Recovery Room, 7:00am

Natalie groaned as she looked down realizing that she wasn't pregnant anymore. She gave birth to their daughter, Jayleigh Noah seven hours ago. It's still Christmas Eve Day.

Noah smiled at her. "Hey beautiful. Merry Christmas Eve Day." He had their daughter in his arms. He had changed and feed her.

Natalie smiled. "Merry Christmas Eve Day, Noah." She smiled at their daughter. "How's our Christmas Miracle doing?"

Noah smiled. "She's tired. We were up four times last night. The nurses had your breastmilk already in bottles so I was able to let you sleep."

Natalie smiled, kissing him. "Thank you. I love you so much!"

Noah smiled. "I love you more. Plus I didn't go through 12 hours of labor and twenty minutes of pushing. It's the least I can do."

Natalie smiled. "You're the best thing that ever happened to me. You and Jay both. You two are the best things which ever happened to me."

Noah kissed her and Jayleigh's. "I got two beautiful girls now. You went through eight months of pregnancy and gave me the best Christmas gift ever. Our daughter."

Natalie smiled happily and blushed. "Thanks. Really, Noah, thanks for helping me through this. If it weren't for you, I've no idea what I would do."

Noah smiled. "Like I said, you're my life. I wouldn't let you do this yourself, even if you told me to leave. Thanks to you, we have our first born." He kissed her passionately. "Jayleigh is perfect and she is a good baby so far."

Natalie smiled, hugging him sightly. "Thanks."

Jayleigh smiled and coos.

Natalie smiled. "Can I see our daughter?"

Noah nodded and gave Natalie their daughter. "Here you go. Go to Mommy, Mini Nat."

Natalie giggled and snuggled her daughter in her arms. "When do you think we'll be able to go home?"

Annie heard her and walked inside the room. "Oh you're up. Great."

Natalie smiled and nodded. "Yeah."

Annie smiled. "Well, you and Jayleigh look perfectly fine, so I'll have you go home tomorrow morning."

Natalie smiled. "Thanks for everything."

Noah smiled. "Thanks, Aunt Annie."

Annie turned to her nephew. "I better not hear she's pregnant again until my great niece is 3, Noah Mason!"

Noah nodded. "I promise."

Natalie sighed. "You can't promise something like that, you idiot!" She sighed. "Don't worry, Annie. I'm not letting him touch me for a long time."

Annie smiled at Natalie. "Good."

Jayleigh smiled at her mother.

Natalie smiled and laughed. "Jayleigh agrees."

Noah laughed. "I love you both so much." He kissed Natalie's and Jayleigh's head. "My beautiful girls."

Natalie smiled. "Awww. I'm not that beautiful. I'm probably full of sweat and my hair is probably a mess."

Noah smiled. "Well, to me, you are beautiful, sexy and perfect. You're my version of Aphrodite."

Natalie was confused. "What? What's that?"

Noah smiled. "The Greek Gods babe. Remember?"

Natalie realised and smiled. "Really?"

Noah nodded. "Yep. You are my queen and Jayleigh is my princess...Daddy's little princess."

Natalie smiled. "Aww, and you're my king. We're living happily in our Kingdom with our family you, me and our sweet little princess, Jayleigh."

Noah smiled. "Do you think she'll be sweet as a teenager? If so, please say yes."

Natalie giggled. "I don't know maybe."

Noah kissed her cheek. "Alright. I'll enjoy her as a baby first then."

Natalie giggled again and kissed his cheeks. "Okay!"

Noah smiled. "You know I got you and Jay something for Christmas. I think it will help me a lot when I'm away."

Natalie smiled. "Really? What's that?"

Noah smiled. "Video camera for the front door. It can go to my phone and yours so when I'm away nothing bad can happen to you or Jay."

Natalie smiled and hugged him. "Thank you!" She kissed him. "I love you so much."

Noah smiled and kissed her. "I love you more."

Kayleigh knocked before walking in. "Stop that you two. You just had a baby. I got Jay something for Christmas. We all did..."

Natalie sighed. "Really? Kay...She's got so much already…"

Kayleigh shook her head. "Oh, don't be like that, Nat. She's my niece. I'm spoiling her to death. Aunt Maya and Uncle Zack left with Mom and Dad to get everything Ryleigh and Jamie need. Hailey has nothing for them. All of us chipped in to get the clothes and diapers and wipes and two of the high chairs. Jake and Cole went with them to help. Alli and Alleeah are watching the babies while I tell you all of this because all of the gifts are going to your apartment today…."

Natalie was completely shocked. "I...I…"

Kayleigh laughed. "Just say thank you."

Natalie smiled. "Thank you."

Kayleigh smiled. "You're welcome."

Noah looked at Kayleigh. "No hard feelings right?"

She shook her head. "No. You are my niece's father and my sister's boyfriend. Noah, I love you like you were my own brother…"

He smiled. "I might be someday." He winked at Natalie.

Natalie's face went bright red, blushing. "Oh my God! Please stop!"

Kayleigh laughed. "Jake does the same to me. Get used to it, sis. You got a hot boyfriend. Be lucky you get to keep him…"

Natalie looked at her sister. "We did great in that, didn't we?"

Kayleigh nodded brightly, smiling wide. "Oh, yes, we did!" Se looked at the watch. "I gotta go feed the twins. I'll be back later." She kissed her niece's head before leaving the room.

Noah turned to his girlfriend and now the mother of his daughter. "How does it feel to have her here?"

Natalie smiled. "It feels amazing. No one's doing somersaults on my bladder anymore. I don't feel uncomfortable anymore..,Noah, she is perfect. I don't regret anything...Expect my age."

Noah sighed. "Me too, but she's the best thing that ever happened to us, so she's the greatest Christmas gift we ever gotten."

She nodded her head. "That's true. She is the best and greatest Christmas gift…"

He smiled at the baby girl in her arms. "I'm grateful that you named her after me, Jake and Kayleigh."

Natalie smiled up at him. "Well, Kayleigh and I are super close, Jake is like my annoying older brother and Noah, she's your daughter. You helped bring her here. I had to include you in her name somehow."

Noah smiled. "Are you sure she won't get bullied for Noah being her middle name?"

Natalie smiled. "If she's anything like me, she'll stick up for herself and defend her name. Her middle name is special. Nobody's got it who is a girl…"

Noah nodded in agreement. "Very true. I love her full name...Merry Christmas Eve Day...and Happy Birthday, my princess, Jayleigh Noah Sanchez…"

Jayleigh smiled and cooed at her father, moving her arms and hands happily.

Natalie laughed. "See? She loves her name too."

A few hours later, early afternoon, Cody, Bailey, Maya, Zack, Cole and Jake, with Carly, Evie, Sabrina, Chrissie and Sabrina all returned to the hospital with two carriers, clothes, wipes and they went to Zack and Maya's house to decorate the nursery and put everything away for them. They just brought the baby carriers, car seats, diapers and clothes with them.

Hailey's Hospital Room

Hailey smiled when she saw her mother, father, Jake, Cole, and sisters, Aunt Bailey and Uncle Cody all pile into the room with everything she'd need.

"Oh my gosh! You all went shopping?"

Bailey nodded. "Of course we did. You need all of this stuff."

Chrissie smiled. "Everything else in the nursery…"

Hailey gave a bigger smile. "Awww! Thank you everyone!"

Zack hugged his daughter. "You're welcome, baby girl. You need all the help and everything you'd need for my granddaughters."

Cody looked at his brother. "Speaking of granddaughters, I'm going to check on Jayleigh and Natalie…"

Bailey looked at her husband. "You're not going to interrupt Natalie and Noah's time alone with the baby are you?"

Cody shook his head. "Of course not, Bails…I'm just gonna give Noah a talk…"

Zack turned to his brother. "Yeah? What about?"

Cody sighed. "About being a dad to a girl…"

Zack laughed. "No offense but you are close to being a girl…"

Cody rolled his eyes. "Not funny anymore, Zack…" He walked out of the room and walked a few rooms down to Natalie's room. He knocked and waited for Noah to open the door.

"Hey Cody. Come on in."

Cody walked inside, looking at his daughter who had Jayleigh still in her arms. "Hey Daddy." She looked at her boyfriend. "Hey babe? Can you take Jayleigh? My arms are getting tired…"

Noah walked back over to her bed and took Jayleigh from her, rocking her in his arms.

Cody cleared his throat. "So, how are you doing, Nat?"

Natalie smiled. "Much better. I was a little sore this morning, but I'm okay." She kept smiling.

Cody nodded. "I'm glad to hear you are doing good."

Natalie sighed, sensing something with her father. "Daddy, is everything okay?"

Cody nodded his head again. "Of course. I just wanted to talk to Noah."

That got Noah's attention, he looked at him. "About?"

Natalie glared at her father. "Dad...If you are still upset with me dating Noah and having our daughter, you can leave my hospital room right now and talk to yourself into being just fucking happy knowing that I'm going to be well taken care of, along with my daughter!"

Cody sighed. "Natalie, I was just going to tell him that I want him to do everything for you and Jayleigh that makes you both happy…" He breathed deeply. "Nat, I'm sorry for everything I said and made you do…"

Natalie sighed. "I...I...I'm sorry for yelling at you...I didn't...and…" She sniffed.

Cody nodded. "Sweetie, it's okay…You just need to focus on Jayleigh right now." He walked out of the room.

Bailey was leaning against the wall.

Cody sighed. "Did you hear any of that?"

Bailey nodded. "She yelling at you. Yes, I heard. Cody, face it, she's a mother now. She may be fifteen, but she isn't your little girl, the way that you want. She has a daughter and Noah. They are a family. Just like Kayleigh, Jake, Brayden and Braylen." She layed a hand on his shoulder. "Honey, she's grown up now, they both are. Kayleigh and Natalie can't worry about you getting along with their boyfriends, they are worrying about our three grandchildren who are in the mix...I know you hate hearing it, but every time Natalie says it, it's like you aren't hearing her. That's what is getting her upset at you for. You need to realize she's 15 with a baby now." She sighed. "...Cody, I'm their mother and I want them to be happy. And that's what they are-they're happy. I now realize that they can't come to me for normal teenage girl thing...Just the other day and today, Kayleigh and I were talking about daycares for the twins! That's not what I pictured for my girls, but it happened to her and Natalie, and guess what? I've moved on with it and dealt with the reality...but you haven't...and you need to know that soon or Natalie…"

Cody sighed. "She'll hate me, Bails?"

Bailey breathed deeply. "Um...Yes. Remember what Kayleigh told you when you freaked out about her and Jake sleeping with each other after she found out she was pregnant?"

Cody nodded slowly. "She said she didn't want me and Jake to hate each other and that she'd have to pick sides…" His eyes went wide.

Cody finally realized it. Kayleigh and Natalie are grown woman now. They have babies to care for and their families. They aren't his little girls anymore, or the way he wants them to be. He's been too hard on Natalie lately. She was happy...and he wasn't getting it until now.

"Oh my God, Bails...You're right. I've been too hard on Natalie and acting like she will always be my little girl forever, but I know now that she's a mother and has other responsibilities, one isn't fighting with me!"

Bailey nodded and smiled. "Hallelujah! Finally!"

Cody smiled slightly. "I'm way to behind on realizing that, are I?"

Bailey nodded. "Yep!" She smiled as she walked into the waiting room.

"Alright, kids. Let's go home. You all have to help me with baking Christmas cookies."

Sabrina smiled. "Mickey Mouse ones, Momma for me?"
