49. More Revelations

"You mean we have to go back in there?" Hermione says shocked, while Ron buries himself into her arms again and simply whimpers. It appears that the fight has drained him from all his courage.

Harry laughs at the woman's disgusted face as her husband now is smearing all the slime of his fight with the large spider onto her clothes. He glances at Draco then back at the others assembled around him.

They all look worse for the wear with dirt, blood and other muck on them. Draco actually looks the best out of them, though that could be simply because he removed his shirt after the whole ordeal and it has revealed some very distracting smooth skin.

"You don't have to," he tells them and shrugs. "I'll just go on my own. All I ask of you guys is to stand guard here and make sure no other creature comes after me."

"That we can do," Remus tells him with a tired smile. It is clear that both he and Sirius have nearly no strength left and Sirius hangs heavily against him.

"I'm coming with you," is Draco's quick response and he is already heading towards the hole. Harry sends a quick smile at the others and heads after him. He takes mind to pick up Ron's cutlass, but not before rubbing the blade over the dirt to get rid of most of the goop.

And then they are inside the hole again.

"Should we try to make a torch?" Draco suggests as they try to get their eyes attuned to the dark again. He reaches out to fist Harry's shirt and gives a small tug on it that makes Harry stumble. "We would need you to undress for that though."

Harry let out a startled laugh. "You want to make a torch out of my shirt? Ain't it convenient that you have no shirt left to burn."

He doesn't need light to know there's a sly grin on his slave's face. He wraps a hand around the wrist that still grips his shirt. He then slides his hand upwards over the arm until he finally reaches Draco's face and leans in to steal a quick kiss.

"We don't even know what to look for," he tells Draco. He is still close enough to feel the other's breath on his face.

"A trapdoor maybe?" Draco suggests and now is the one to lean in for a kiss. This one is longer and makes Harry wish they had the time for more. Sadly enough, the middle of an adventure is never the right time for fooling around.

"Or a tunnel," Draco added after the kiss. "Really, hell if I know."

"You could try that protruding stone there," a voice helpfully says and Harry whirls around. In the dimness of the hole they notice a shimmery presence right beside them and Harry quickly draws the cutlass as protection.

"Holy fuck!" Draco curses startled. "Another of those blasted ghosts!"

Harry lowers his cutlas, knowing it would do nothing against a ghost. And so far the ghosts on this island were not acting violate towards them. Just annoying. "What do ya want? Try to scare us off with silly stories?" he asks the ghost.

"I just wanted to help you," the ghost answers almost bashful.

"Why?"

"The red head outside is my friend."

"You made friends with Ron? Well I'll be damned. That man keeps surprising me," Harry says.

The ghost seems a bit uncomfortable and then admits. "The relation might be one-sided though, but I figured after aiding him in his fight... we might as well be friends."

"Well, you can never have too many friends, aye. So this stone?" he asks at the same moment that Draco asks for the ghost's name.

"My name?" the ghost's voice sounds reminiscing. "I am Regulus."

"Okay, nice to meet ya Reggie," Harry mutters. "The stone?" he tries again, but is again thwarted by Draco, who has in ingrained sense of last names and status.

"Regulus who?" the slave asks.

"Black. Regulus Black."

"Wait a moment? Black? Where you part of The Sea Patronus' crew?" Harry asks incredulous.

"Aye, I was," he seems almost sad. "Beauty of a vessel. It's a pity the dragons got hold of it."

"I heard The Sea Patronus wrecked on this island." Harry says confused.

"Yeh heard wrong." the ghost tells him. "It was Isla Sorna that did it. Many of us were able to swim here... and then there was the other ship."

"Wait, there was another ship?"

"The Santa Narcissa."

"Hold on," Harry is now really confused. "The Sea Patronus held the loot, right? What they took from The Santa Narcissa. So the gold must lie sunk near the dragon island. Am I right?"

The ghost shook his head. "No. the Sea Patronus only held half the gold. The other half was left on the Santa Nascissa and we took that."

"You took the whole ship?"

"Well yeah."

"And where is it now?"

"In the Chamber of Secrets, I assume," the ghost answers and seems perplexed at Harry's reaction, who lets out a barking laugh and tries to find Draco's eyes in the twilight.

"Well, we'll be damned."
