Nymphadora was panting as all of her fury left her. She was still practically on top of the lifeless form of Antonin Dolohov. She couldn't believe that she had done it. She had killed the bastard who had been making her life hell for the past year, she had never realised that killing someone could be so satisfying. She could hear the voice of terror at her actions in the back of her mind, but she couldn't listen to it now. She was free from Antonin Dolohov.

She barely registered where she was, forgetting why she had finally killed the man before she felt the gentle hand on her shoulder. She instinctively twisted and pointed her wand into Remus Lupins neck. She froze, staring up into his beautiful grey eyes, his ruffled hair, the worried look on his face.

"Dora," Remus whispered, "I-"

He never finished his sentence as Dora leapt onto him, her arms wrapping around his neck in a loving embrace, her head burying into his neck. She was openly crying as he lifted her off of her feet in his own embrace, the shock of the nights events so far finally starting to hit her.

"Remus . . ." She sobbed "H-He said he was going to kill you . . . h- . . .The things he's done, Remus, I- . . ."

"Shhh," the older man stroked her hair as he gently lowered her back to the ground, still holding her closely, never wanting to let go "It's okay . . . He's gone."

The two stood in their silent embrace, Remus kissing the young witches head, continuing to stroke her hair as he comforted her. It wasn't until they felt the aftermath of a strong curse hitting a wall in a nearby corridor that they realised that they were still in the midst of war. Dora lifted her head from Remus Lupins neck, staring straight into his eyes as she refused to loosen her grip.

"I can't do it Remus," Nymphadoras voice was barely a whisper "I can't fight for them anymore . . ."

"Shhhh," Remus kissed her forehead, placing a hand on her face as he gently caressed her cheek "You don't have to."

"B-But I do! Remus we have to think of Teddy!" She felt her voice quiver as she held back further tears "I-If he wins . . . a-and I'm on the wrong side . . . Remus h-he'll have our son killed."

Remus brought her close again as he let her burry her face in his robes "You can still fight for him . . . Just do it in a way you can help . . . You can fight off students with lesser spells-keep them away from the deadly fights."

Dora nodded slightly, not wanting to even think about the poor boy she had already sent to his untimely death. She felt a sad smile reach her lips as Remus' calloused hands gently wiped away her tears.

"I-" Nymphadora went to speak again before she felt the voice coming into her head- a trick of Voldemorts that she despised more than anything else, though apparently Remus could hear it to as he winced at the intrusion on his mind.

They listened to the cold whisper inside of their minds as Nymphadora gripped onto the mans robes, resting her forehead onto Remus' chest as she felt his reassuring hand on her back, his head gently resting onto hers.

"You have fought valiantly, but in vien." Nymphadora looked up to Remus, staring deep into his eyes as they listened, "I do not wish this," Dora couldn't help it as a slight huff escaped her – he did wish this, he was teaching them a lesson in his eyes "every drop of magical blood spilt is a terrible waste. I therefore command my forces to retreat – in their absence dispose of your dead with dignity . . ."

She barely listened as he rattled off his commands to Harry, though she could tell Remus was listening with all of his concentration, his thumb still absentmindedly stroking reassuring circles on her back. Neither of the realised they were tensing until the voice finished.

"Remus-" Dora stopped as Remus lifted a finger to her lips.

"You have to go . . . For Teddy." Remus whispered as if he was scared the two of them could be heard.

She stared up at him for what felt like forever yet still not long enough until without warning their lips were crashing into each other. They kissed passionately, with all of their love and with every part of their soul. For all they knew it could be the last time they could be like this.

Remus broke away, cupping the young witches face in both of his hands "Nymphadora . . . I love you."

"I love you too Remus Lupin . . ." She whispered back, reaching up to place one of her hands on his.

"You need to go . . ." Remus didn't really seem as though he wanted to follow through with that as neither of them made an effort to move.

It was only when Nymphadora felt the sting of her dark mark calling her to her lord that she got onto her tiptoes, kissing him one last time before she begrudgingly let go. Though neither of them spoke another word to each other the undying love between the pair didn't need to be talked about for either of them to know that they would do anything for the other.

Nymphadora shut her eyes before she finally let go of Remus Lupins hand, disapparating.

She arrived in the Forbidden Forrest at the edge of the clearing that the Death Eaters had previously been instructed to meet at. She scanned the crowd, not realising that there had been a slight worry for her families survival until she sighed in relief at the sight of them. Bellatrix flashed her a grin as she noticed her walking up to them. She almost knocked her straight off her feet as she hugged her, kissing her cheek before pulling away and winking at her, the crazy grin on her face the whole time. She forced a slight smile before walking over to The Malfoys and Lestrange brothers who were stood together.

"Dora." Narcissa Malfoy seemed frantic from her tone of voice though looking at her pale face with only the slightest raised eyebrow you would never know the panic underneath "Have you seen Draco?"

She hesitated as she felt her Aunts hand gripping onto her arm, she hadn't noticed that her cousin was missing until she looked over to her Uncle to notice that Draco was indeed not there. She couldn't imagine the thought of her son being lost in the midst of the battle, she was grateful that she only had to worry that the house elves were looking after Teddy sufficiently rather than worrying if he was dead or alive.

"Nymphadora," Narcissa spoke again, Nymphadora didn't realise she was daydreaming until her Aunt squeezed her arm to bring her back to reality "Draco . . .?"

"I-I haven't seen him, I'm sorry." Doras heart almost broke as her Aunt gave a small nod, rubbing her arm before she let go, walking back over to her husband.

She hesitated for a slight second looking to Bellatrix as she practically skipped across the clearing, to Rodolphus and Rabastan. She decided to go to the later, the two brothers looked smug yet nowhere near as crazed as Bellatrix currently was. She returned Rodolphus' smirk as she slowly walked over to the man. He held out his arm for her as with a sigh she walked up and leant into his side, smiling as she felt him kiss her head.

"Kill anyone else yet?" Rodolphus asked with a slight laugh, Dora had to hold back her shudder at the thought of the boy he had watched her kill.

"I have no idea." It was the first response she could think of, for all she knew she could have been the cause of the death of anyone of the witches and wizards she sent flying out of her way on her rampage to get to Remus.

Rabastan laughed as he listened in on the conversation "Nymphadora been letting out some rage?"

"Shut up, Uncle Rab." Dora smirked playfully, satisfied when he rolled his eyes and shut up.

Rodolphus let go of Dora, looking around at the ever growing crowd of Death Eaters returning to their lord, they had clearly lost some of their number but not enough for anyone to bat an eyelid. It was a necessity of war; people died no matter what side they fought for.

"Where's Dolohov?" the question from Rod caught her off guard.

"Yeah, his smug face is usually lurking around close by . . . Bloody smarmy git." Rabastan frowned slightly as he searched the crowd.

"He's dead." Nymphadora declared matter of factly, not bothering to say anymore but knowing that her father was suspicious as he looked down at her with the same look she had received when she was a young girl-accused of breaking something but with no evidence unable to punish her for it.

The silence between them was almost unbearable until Rodolphus finally nodded "Good. He wasn't good enough for you."

No-one spoke another word for what seemed like much too long a time, considering they had all heard the threat to Harry with its pressing time constraint. There was no way the boy wouldn't turn up, his hero complex would surely kick in. Nymphadora wasn't sure what she wanted to happen as she stood in that forest clearing.

On the one hand, if Harry turned up, Harry Potter would be murdered. There was no questioning it. The war would be one with the other sides 'Chosen one' dead, their fight taken out of them they'd be forced into submission. Then what would happen to Remus? Would she manage to hide him or protect him as he clearly would not fit into the new regime of the world now all hope was taken from the 'rebels'.

On the other hand, what if Harry didn't turn up? They would go back to fighting. It would be more brutal this time, either side having to be nearly completely killed off or duelled into submission. Could she protect Remus from being killed for the second time that night? The thought of The Dark Lord losing barely passed her mind, she knew it was because if her side lost she would surely end up in Azkaban or dead.

Nymphadora only just realised the fact that the half giant Hagrid was being held to the side of their gather as she heard him yell out for Harry Potter. She spun around, watching as the boy slowly walked towards the gathering. She looked to her mother, holding out a hand for her as with a giggle of delight she finally walked over to her daughter. She held her mothers hand tightly as she barely listened to the exchange between Lord Voldemort and The Boy Who Lived. Dora told herself it was to stop her mother running around in her crazed state again but she knew it was because she wanted to reassurance of her mother more than anything in that moment.

She had barely realised that she wasn't paying attention to the exchange in front of her until with a blinding green light Nymphadora watched Harry Potter fall to the ground, seemingly dead. It was only when she heard her mother yell and run from her, escaping her grip, that she realised that Voldemort had fallen to the ground as well.

"My Lord!" Bellatrix was on her knees next to The Dark Lord.

Nymphadora ran forward to her on instinct, stopping a few feet short of her as she felt a hand grab her arm. She looked to see Narcissa Malfoy, she wasn't looking at her though, she was transfixed on the seemingly dead teenaged boy. She felt the hand let go of her as she slowly walked towards Harry Potter. It didn't seem to matter to her as Bellatrix helped Voldemort to his feet, being pushed back with a hiss. Dora focused on Bella as she herself went and gently helped her up from where she had been thrown to the floor.

"Well?" Voldemort was back on his feet, hissing at Narcissa as she had managed to get next to the boy.

Narcissa spoke to the crowd, her head held high in her arrogant pureblood façade ". . . He's dead."
