The scarlett envelope with the green stamp was especially eye catching as the loudly hooting owl dropped it on top of Malfoy's breakfast. The quiet was especially palpable as he ripped it open in an effort to stay nonchalant.
"Draco Abraxas Malfoy, How dare you come third in your class and have the audacity to send us your report card!", the howler shrieked at him, the unmistakable voice of Lucius Malfoy, slightly high pitched in his anger.
"After a muggle born and a Ravenclaw no less! If your grades don't improve, you had better stay at Hogwarts for Easter Holidays!"
Someone from the Gryffindor table stage whispered, "At least he had the brains to not say that word instead of muggle born"
As the enevelope burst into flames, the Great Hall was as quiet and nervous as ever. Taking the opportunity as it fell into my lap in the form of ash, I piped up as loud as a I could without positively shouting.
"At least your father heard about something"
