Alex looked down at his camera to watch the video.
"It is Christmas now." Charlotte said to the camera with a Santa hat on her head. "And we just finished opening gifts and cleaning up—"
"I cleaned up." Eric commented out of frame.
Charlotte giggled. "Yes, sorry, Eric cleaned up and now we're packing to leave."
"And there's still a gift to give." Eric came over and grabbed her hand gently. "Here." He held out a ring that had runes around it. "The runes are said to give luck and to protect."
Charlotte gasped as she inspected it. "Where did you find this?"
"I've had this ring since I was human and took good care of it over the years." Eric smiled slightly while looking at the ring. "It was my mother's."
Charlotte shook her head and handed it back. "I can't have it. It was your mother's. You keep it."
"And I want you to keep it." Eric took the ring and placed it on her middle finger on her left hand since it fit there. "There."
Charlotte smiled as her heart fluttered. She then remember her gift to him. "Well, you're not the only one who has a surprise gift to give." She moved to the tree and took out a small box. "Here."
Eric opened the box and saw the band inside. "You got me a ring also?"
"Yup. It's platinum, so it's safe." She pointed out the design. "The Claddagh ring is a traditional Irish ring given which represents love, loyalty, and friendship. The hands represent friendship, the heart represents love, and the crown represents loyalty." She smiled at Eric. "All of which we have."
Eric grinned. "So that's what we are now? Friends?"
Charlotte rolled her eyes and hit Eric softly as he laughed.
The video ended and Alex changed it to another.
Charlotte was smiling at him. "Good? Okay." she gave a thumbs up. "So, we made it to the airport and checked in Eric. Which was a little strange to explain to people."
She laughed. "First, we had to get him checked with our bags. Then we had to go through some security and now we are waiting for the fancy jet Eric owns to go to our home."
"I can't wait to see it." Alex said from behind the camera.
"And they're gonna love you. Especially Lafayette." She giggled.
"Excited?" Charlotte asked Alex as she saw him fidget in his seat with his camera.
"How can I not be?" Alex smiled brightly as he looked around. "I've never been in this part of a plane, I've always been in the cargo in some cage."
Charlotte's heart broke when he told her that. "Well, you don't have to worry about that." She pointed to the back of the plane. "Back there is a bed, just in case you get tired." She reached over to a small fridge next to her. "And in here is a bunch of water, sodas, and alcohol, which you will not touch for years." She reached in and pulled out a water bottle and a cola. "Which one do you want?"
He pointed to the cola, and she handed it to him.
"Be careful with those, don't want you hyper by the time we reach America."
A woman came by and told them to buckle up, that they were going to take off.
The takeoff was bumpy, which scared Alex a bit, but it eventually smoothed out.
"That wasn't so bad, was it?" Charlotte asked as she felt Alex's tight grip loosen on her hand. "See?" She pointed out the window. "We're fine."
Alex looked out the window and sighed, clenching and unclenching his hands.
"How about a movie?" She asked him, wanting for him to get his mind off of how high they were. She got up and asked the attendant if they had any movies.
The only movies she had was the first Harry Potter movie and the second.
Charlotte went back and told Alex about the movies, to which Alex gave a scoff to about using wands.
They sat quietly while watching the movie. She would look over to Alex and saw him in grossed in the movie. She smirked and started to play with her ring.
After a bit, she started to feel a bit tired and told Alex she was going to sleep. She got up and moved to the bed, then cuddled into the pillow and fell asleep.
"Charlotte!" Charlotte felt someone shaking her. "Charlotte, wake up!"
She jump up and saw Alex was the one shaking her. "What? Is everything alright?"
"Yeah, just that the lady said that we were close to landing." He pointed behind him. "We got to sit in our seats."
"Oh okay." Charlotte got up and they walked to their seats. "So how did you like the movies?" She smirked at him as she saw him and look away. "You liked it." she teased.
"Hush."
Bing
"Please buckle up. We are approaching our destination. I want to thank you for choosing Anubis Air for your flight."
Charlotte felt Alex slip his hand into her as they felt the plane start to go down.
"Don't worry." She whispered to him. "We're just going to land nicely and then we don't have to get on it again."
Alex closed his eyes and just tried to breath.
Charlotte was right when she had said that they would be fine, and the nice woman that attended them made sure that they were fine.
By the time they landed, it was night.
Alex was open-mouth in shock as he stared around the airport.
"We'll go to my friend's house after we get Eric." Charlotte smiled as she saw the travel coffin that Eric was in. "There he is."
The men brought him over to me and she opened it up. "Hello, dear."
Eric grinned and stepped out of the coffin, fixing his steel grey suit with the black button-up shirt underneath. "Hello, beautiful." He kissed her as she took over on fixing his suit. "Ready?"
"Yup."
Eric walked Alex and Charlotte to his car and drove to a big house that had guards around and looked brand new.
Eric stopped the car near the house but not close enough for the guards to see us. "Be careful." Eric warned Charlotte.
"I will." She gave him a kiss and teleported in an office. She looked around. "Hm, nice."
She walked over to the desk and sat down in the chair behind the desk. She turned the chair so the back of the chair was facing the door and waited.
She must have waited for five minutes when the door opened and she heard a familiar click of fangs.
"Who are you and what are you doing in my chair?" Bill's southern accent rang around the room.
"Well," Charlotte turned the chair slowly over so she could see Bill, who looked shocked as soon as he saw her face. "I was waiting for you, and I've always wanted to do an entrance like this." she gave him a huge smile as she stood up and went around the desk. "Surprise!" she threw her arms open and Bill quickly threw his arms around her.
"You're really here." He squeezed her tightly, taking in the familiar warmth and scent.
"Yup. Missed me?" She laughed as he lifted her up.
Bill was going to answer when the doors opened and a small blonde woman walked in with Eric and Alex. "Sir, Mr. Northman is here with a guest-oh!" she looked between Bill and Charlotte. "You're busy, I'll just kick them out."
"No, no." Bill put Charlotte down carefully. "Its fine, Katerina. This is Charlotte Griffin."
"I don't go by that anymore, it's Byrne." Bill gave her a confused look. "It's my maiden name."
"Ah, and who is this?" he motioned to Alex.
Charlotte went over to Alex and brought him over to Bill. "This is my little brother, his name is Alexander."
Bill's eyes widen. "You have a brother?"
"Yeah, I just found out two weeks ago." She pointed to the chairs. "Do you think we could sit down? We have a lot to tell you."
Bill clapped his hands. "Sure." He turned to Katerina. "Do you think you could bring a Tru Blood, and my other guests some wine and an iced tea."
Katerina nodded and left the room.
They all sat down, ready to be in that room for a while. "So, start explaining." Bill said.
Charlotte sighed, "Well, it all started the night I disappeared…"
Bill stared wide eyed at the three of them as they told him what had happened while she was away.
"So you died?" Bill looked her over worriedly. "Actually died?"
She nodded as she took a sip from her wine. "It sucked, I can tell you that." She felt Eric grab her hand as he sipped his Tru Blood.
Bill's eyes looked at her with sadness. "I'm sorry that happened to you."
"It's okay, a lot of good came from it. My father is dead and he can no longer be able to destroy people's lives, I got to bring my brother with me so he is safe," She looked over to Alex, who gave her a small smile. He was still nervous around new people but he was slowly getting used to it. "And I'm back home with the man I love." She smiled at Eric and kissed him as Alex scrunched his nose at the display of affection.
Bill looked uncomfortable and shot Alex a look of understanding.
She remembered about Sookie. "I heard what happened, after I left. Eric told me that you thought I had Sookie with me, but she wasn't." She place her now empty glass on the small table next to her. "When I left the house, she already wasn't around and I couldn't stay to look for her since my father was too close."
Bill was about to say something when the door slammed opened, making Alex and Charlotte jump, while Eric and Bill quickly went to their feet, fangs out.
They looked at the doorway and saw a pissed off Pam. Pam looked at all of them until she made eye contact with Charlotte. "You." She pointed at her.
"Uh," Bill retracted his fangs and walked over to Alex. "Why don't I take you to the living room? Or somewhere that isn't here?" Bill asked Alex. Alex looked over to Charlotte and she nodded, she could trust Bill with Alex.
When Alex and Bill left the room, Pam grabbed her attention again. "What the hell were you thinking? Do you know how crazy Eric made me with how much he worried over you?" Steam would've came out from her ears if she was a cartoon character.
"I'm sorry-"
Slap!
Charlotte's head snapped to the side from the force of Pam's slap.
"Pam!" Eric growled and slammed Pam against the wall, pinning her there. "Don't you dare do that again!"
Charlotte rubbed her cheek as she walked over to Eric. "Eric, it's okay. I understand why she's so mad." She placed her hand on his shoulder to get him to relax. "Let her go."
"She will attack again." Eric growled at Pam.
"No, she won't." She looked at Pam, pleading with her to corporate. "Right?"
Pam sighed. "Right." She grumbled out. Eric took a while, making sure she wouldn't hit her again, and let her go completely. "Sorry." She muttered as Eric shot her a look.
"You don't have to say anything, Pam. Just here," Charlotte walked over to a bag Alex brought in with him and pulled out a flat rectangle box. "This is one of my 'I'm sorry' gifts for you." Pam took it and opened it. She saw her eyes sparkle but her face stay emotionless. "Do you like it?"
Inside the box was a pink smooth satin 50s style siren dress that had the front bust features framing pleat detailing, pleats also featured on the straps which crisscrossed into a low V at the back. The dress was tight to the body, scooping under the bum and then has a slight A line kick. A beautiful chiffon corsage completes the look while invisible zip with hook & eyes feature over the waistband.
Also in the box was a matching pink satin skull clutch that had gold-tone hardware and stunning Swarovski crystals and a gold boomerang style necklace and earrings.
Pam closed the box and looked at Charlotte with a blank face. "I still haven't forgiven you fully."
Charlotte smiled and laughed. "Okay, then you can take me on that shopping trip I promised you."
Charlotte was suddenly pulled into a hug by Pam. "I'm glad your Irish ass is back, Snow White."
Charlotte patted Pam's back and she moved away. "I'm sorry for everything I caused."
Pam shrugged her shoulders as she held onto the box in one arm. "Nothing crazy happened."
Charlotte gave her a look. "Pam, I know about everything that happened. Even the fact you were worried."
Pam stared at her wide eyed before turning around and glaring at Eric. "You told her?!"
Eric shrugged his shoulders, not caring.
Charlotte rolled her eyes. "Don't worry, he'll be paying for the trip."
Pam nodded, satisfied with the look Eric gave Charlotte. "Eric, I need you back at Fangtasia. You have some business to take care of."
Eric sighed. "Fine, meet you there."
Pam nodded. "Bye, princess." She winked at Charlotte and left, using her speed.
Eric turned to Charlotte. "I need to go, but if anything happens, use your powers to go to Sookie's or here, okay?" She nodded. "Good." He bent his head to give her a long slow kiss. "I love you."
Charlotte smiled, biting her lip. "Is breá liom tú ró."
"You've got to teach me that language." He kept his lips close to hers, brushing against hers every time he talked.
"Of course, though I thought you knew all the languages. Since you are a thousand years old." She teased.
A deep purr came from Eric's throat as he pulled her closer. "That doesn't mean I don't like being taught new things." His hands traveled from her waist to her ass. "Especially with a beautiful teacher like yourself."
She grinned. "You better go, you have work to do, dear." She chuckled as Eric gave a small pout. "Be sure to tell Pam what happened, okay?"
"Fine. One kiss before I go?"
"You don't have to ask." She grabbed the back of Eric's neck and pulled him down, making his lips meet hers once again. She ran her fingers through his hair, which he loved, and pulled at it softly. The hands on her ass squeezed it roughly.
Someone cleared their throat and they separated their lips but didn't move away from each other. They looked and saw Bill with Alex behind them.
Charlotte blushed, embarrassed by being caught by her brothers. "Sorry." She gave one last peck to Eric. "I'll see you later."
Eric nodded. "Kom ihåg att vara försiktig." (Remember, be careful.) She gave him one final nod before he disappeared.
Bill walked in with Alex and they all sat down. "So… you and Eric are together?"
"Yes." Charlotte saw the look on Bill's face. "What?"
"It's Eric Northman though."
"And I love that man." She stood up and walked around the desk to grab Bill's hands. "I know you don't like it but I do love him, as he does me. That man held me in his arms as I died, Bill." Bill still looked unsure. "Let me explain about Eric and I." She sighed, getting herself ready for a long story. "I am Eric's heart singer. That means that I'm Eric's soul mate."
Bill snorted. "What? That can't be real."
"But it is. Talbot, Russell's husband was also his heart singer. When a heart singer dies, the vampire loses their sanity. That's why he went bat-shit crazy, and why Eric got so angry when I told Russell about what I was. He was trying to protect me."
Bill shook his head in disbelief. "Why have I never heard of this?"
"Well, heart singers are really rare, only certain vampires find their heart singer, or even know what a heart singer is." She shrugged her shoulders. "I only found out because of Godric."
Bill nodded. "So there is no way I can persuade you to leave Eric?"
She shook her head. "No, you can't." She placed her hand on his shoulder. "But think of it this way, I'm always going to be protected." She gave Bill a smile, which he returned with a small one. "I know what will put a smile on your face and go nicely with your new office." She got the bag and pulled out a small box, handing it to Bill. "Open it." She jumped up and down excitedly.
Bill laughed and opened it, looking at the small item inside. "It's a cannon?"
"Yup, it's an 1861 Civil War Cannon. I think it's called the 12 pounder?" Bill nodded as he took the 15' inch item out and looked it over.
"It looks just like the real thing." He placed it on his desk, near his cup of pens. "How did you get this?"
"Well I had to look online for it and I thought it was perfect. You like it?"
Bill smiled. "Yes, I do."
"Good, here is another part of your gift." She reached to the bottom of the bag and pulled out a long flat box. "Here you go."
When Bill opened the box and saw the beautiful Civil War foot officer's sword gleaming at him. It was ornately detailed, has a brass guard marked "CS", has a slightly curved plain blade and comes complete with plain brass mounted steel scabbard.
Bill pulled it out and gave it a few swings. He laughed. "These are wonderful gifts." He hugged her. "Thank you."
"I still have to give Jessica her gifts." Charlotte patted Bill's back.
"I'll call her now." Bill had a blank look on his face then it disappeared. "She'll be here in 5 minutes."
"Good. Let me get ready, quick off you chair, I want to do the same thing I did to her that I did to you."
Bill got out his chair and she quickly jumped in, spinning the chair around in time for the doors to open and Jessica's voice call for Bill.
"You called me? Is everything okay?" Jessica took a deep breath in. "What is that smell?"
"That would be me." Charlotte spun the chair around and saw Jessica's eyes go wide while her mouth dropped. "Hello sweetie."
"Charlotte!" Jessica used her vampire speed to run up to her and picked her up in a hug. "Oh my God, you're back!" she spun her around as they laughed. "When did you get back? Where did you go? Why did you leave?"
"Calm down, Jess." Jessica put Charlotte down and Charlotte explained to her what happened. She introduced her to Alex, who shyly waved.
"Now, time for gifts." Charlotte reached into the bag and handed it to Jess. "I got these for you some shops in Ireland. Tell me if you like them."
The first gift was a rosy-pink tie-waisted, bell-sleeved dress that had a sheer overlay that is dappled with velvety, abstract patterns that mimic petals from afar, and its wrap-inspired neckline adds a minimalist, feminine flair.
The second was a gorgeous floral dress. The sunshine-yellow, cloud-white, lavender, and pale-green flowers adorned the silky overlay of this tulle-lined frock coordinate perfectly with the sweetly painted shutters and vibrant blossoms.
Next, she pulled out a small blue box. Jess looked at Charlotte confused and opened it.
Inside was a white gold locket pendent in the shape of an envelope. The front of the locket was engraved with the loving greeting 'Dear Niece' and stamped with a hand-set genuine sapphire. The back of the letter was sealed with a 24K gold-plated heart adorned with a diamond while inside the locket she found another heart and a message saying 'I'm Proud to Call You My Niece' and 'I Love You'.
Jessica's eyes filled up with blood tears as she covered her mouth. "Oh, I love all of it." She hugged Charlotte again.
"Good." Charlotte gave her a smile as she put on the necklace.
Jessica suddenly looked at Charlotte and gasped. "I have a perfect idea! Why don't we throw you a welcome back party?"
"Sure." Charlotte laughed.
Jess jumped up and down. "Oh I can't wait, I just need to plan it." She tapped her chin in thought. "And we need to invite people. I'll find you later, I got to go tell Hoyt about the party!" she vanished, taking her gifts with her.
"Where are you off to now?" Bill asked Charlotte as he sat down.
"I was thinking of going over to Merlotte's, to see everyone else and grabbing a bite to eat for the both of us." She hugged Bill.
"Do you have a ride?"
She wondered if Eric left the car with her, so she texted him quickly. He replied yes, that he had flown. "Yeah, Eric left us the car. I have your number so I'll call as soon as I get home, okay?" She gave Bill a hug and a kiss on the cheek while Alex gave Bill a nod and a handshake.
On the drive to Merlotte's, she decided to question Alex. "So, how do you like Bon Temps so far?"
"It's nice and quiet." He looked at her. "Bill and Jessica seem nice, though that blonde lady kind of scares me."
"Yeah, she has that effect on everyone. Don't worry though," She turned into the parking lot of Merlotte's and turned off the car. "I'll show you some of the other people that have become my friends since I first came to this town."
They got out of Eric's silver Porsche 918 Spyder and walked into the dinner. Everyone suddenly got quiet as they stared at Alex and Charlotte.
Charlotte saw Arlene, whose mouth was wide open, Sam was at the bar, Lafayette and Terry poking their heads out of the kitchen window, and Andy looking at her with disbelief.
Sam was the first one to move as he went around the bar and hugged her. "You're alive?"
"Of course I am." They separated from the hug and Sam looked at Alex, wondering who he was. "This is my brother, Alex."
"I didn't know you had a brother." He shook hands with Alex.
She grinned. "Seems we both had brothers we didn't know about." She looked around at the people then back to Sam. "Do you think we can eat here? If it's not too much trouble."
Sam led them over to an empty booth. "Arlene will be with you right now." Sam left them to go talk to Arlene.
Arlene rushed over to them. "I can't believe you're back!" she touched her shoulder and sighed in relief. "Oh good, you aren't a fanger." Charlotte raised an eyebrow at her but she didn't seem to notice. "What do you guys want?"
Charlotte and Alex grabbed their menus to see what they wanted.
Charlotte looked over her menu and decided what she wanted. She looked up to ask Alex what he wanted when she saw him just staring at the menu with a frustrated look on his face.
"Alex," She called out and he looked up at her and she saw how frustrated he was. He's nervous and that is messing up his focus. "How about I get us drinks and I can explain to you what is on the menu?" Alex nodded so she turned to Arlene. "Can you get my brother a…" she scanned the drink section of her menu. "A banana blast smoothie and for me a… Strawberry-Coconut Daiquiri." Arlene wrote down what they ordered and left.
Charlotte turned to Alex. "Okay, the first thing you have to try here is the classic hamburger that Lafayette makes." she pointed to Lafayette. "He's the main cook here and a sass master." she pointed to the menu at the burger section. "It has onions, ketchup, mayo, steak sauce, ground pepper, tomatoes, and lettuce."
"That sounds really good." Alex mumbled. "I'll get that."
"Okay, then I'll get a bar-b-q ribs with a side salad." Arlene came back with their drinks and they gave her their orders quickly.
Charlotte was teaching Alex who everyone was when this young guy that had scars on him came up to them.
"Hey baby." He threw her a wink as he leaned against the side of the booth. "Haven't seen you around here before, trust me, a face like yours is hard to forget." He sent her a flirty grin.
"Excuse me?" Charlotte moved away a bit.
"Get away from her." Alex glared at the young man. "Now!"
"Tommy." Sam walked up and moved Tommy away from Charlotte. "Leave her alone."
"Why?" he looked her over. "Jealous?"
"Sam? Who is he?" Charlotte pointed to Tommy.
Sam looked embarrassed. "He's my brother. I'm sorry, Charlotte. Meal is on the house."
"No Sam, I'm paying." Sam went to fight her, but she shot him a look.
"Fine." He turned to Tommy. "You, stop flirting with the customers and do your job."
Tommy threw Sam a mean look and walked away, busting the tables at the end of the place. Sam sighed and walked away, running his hands through his hair.
Alex sighed in relief and fixed his shirt. He was glad there no fighting.
"Well look who it is!" Lafayette came over and placed our orders in front of them. "I saw you come in and I thought you were just someone else. Glad I was wrong."
He noticed Alex, who was taking a sip. "I didn't know you were a cougar."
Charlotte rolled her eyes. "No, he's my brother. Alex, meet Lafayette." Lafayette shook out his hand and Alex hesitantly shook it.
"You make really good burgers." Alex told Lafayette before continuing eating.
"Thank you, sugar." Lafayette laughed and turned to Charlotte. "I like him already. Anyways, where have you been girl? The town spread shit around saying you died."
"What?"
Terry yelled from the kitchen for Lafayette. "Well, I better get back before Terry has a meltdown. Save room for desert, I got something special for ya!" he told them as he walked away.
They continued to eat, having small talk as they talked about Alex's first time in Bon Temps. "I can tell you already love the food here." She told Alex jokingly.
Alex rubbed his stomach with a smile on his face. "So good."
"Excuse me, Miss. Griffin?"
Charlotte turned around and saw Andy. "Oh, hello Andy." She smiled at Andy.
Andy look between Alex and Charlotte and placed his hands in front of him. "Well, I need to question you about some things, if you don't mind."
"Okay?" Andy pulled a chair from one of the tables and sat at the booth. "What do you need to ask?"
"About your disappearance." He pulled out a pad and a pen. "Now, tell me, were you kidnapped?"
Charlotte tilted her head. "No, I went back to Ireland. There was some business with my father that needed to be taken care of."
Andy nodded and wrote some stuff down. "Are you sure that's what happened and you weren't just kidnapped or something?"
"Yes." Charlotte answered him slowly. "Why do you need to question me?"
"Well, when you and Sookie disappeared, we assumed it was that vampire, Bill Compton that kidnapped you and Sookie. Hell, with the way the house was trashed, we even thought he had murdered you both."
"What? He wouldn't kill us." Charlotte grew angry.
"Well, there were also rumors saying that he turned you two into vamps."
Charlotte looked around and noticed the way people looked at her or looked away quickly when they noticed she was looking. She then remembered what Arlene said. "So, what? Are you asking if I'm a vampire now? I didn't know there was a law against vampires while I was away." She glared at Andy, making him uncomfortable.
"That's not that I'm saying." Andy sighed. "Look, if you can just show me proof you were really in Ireland, then I'll stop questioning you." He whispered to her so the people around them didn't hear.
Charlotte reached into her purse and pulled out the plane tickets she had stuffed in there. "Here, we just came back today."
Andy checked the tickets over. "Alright, seems legit." He handed them back. "I'm sorry for bothering you, ma'am." He nodded and left the bar.
"That was weird." Alex commented as he looked around at the people around them. "A lot of rumors just for you."
"It's a small town Alex, that's the bad part about it." Charlotte placed her chin in her hand as she leaned onto the table. "Stuff spreads like wildfire and since this town has been hit with so much supernatural stuff, everyone is cautious."
Alex nodded and looked behind her. "I don't like that guy."
"Who?" Charlotte turned around and saw Tommy cleaning a booth. "Tommy?"
Alex glared at him, his blue eyes sharp. "Yes."
Charlotte grinned. "You are becoming so much like Eric, I swear." She shook her head as she took another sip of her drink. "How has the lessons with Eric been going?"
Alex tore his eyes away from Tommy. "They're good. He says I'm getting better at it."
"That's fantastic! What can you say so far?"
Alex pondered about it for a bit. "Hej, mitt namn är Alexander." (Hello, my name is Alexander.)
Even though he said it slowly, he said it right. "Very good!" Alex smiled at the praise. "And what else is he teaching you?"
"He's going to teach me to fight without my magic. He says just in case I can't use my magic and you can't use your powers to use it, so I can hold my own while protecting you."
She saw the proud look on his face and his eyes sparkling. She saw how proud he was for finally learning all that stuff. "That's good."
"Ta-da!" Lafayette broke them from their moment as he placed two plates in front of them. "Lemon pie for the two cuties. Fresh made!"
Alex quickly dug in, nearly devouring it in one bite.
Charlotte calmly took a piece and fell in love with it. "This is amazing, Ly!"
Lafayette snapped his fingers. "Made with love, baby! Enjoy!" He walked away with a skip in his step.
She ate half of the pie and gave the rest to Alex.
"Can we come back here tomorrow?" he asked excitedly.
"Sure, after we go food shopping and shopping to fix the house." Charlotte wondered if Sookie would be okay that she brought her brother into her house. "We should go to the house now." She paid for the meal and they left, saying goodbye to friends.
While driving to the house, she noticed that Alex fell asleep. She didn't want to wake him up but she had to. "Alex, sweetie." She shook him lightly. "We're here."
Alex blinked his eyes and looked around confused. "Huh?"
"Come on, let's find you a place to sleep." They dragged their bags into the house, which thankfully she still had the keys to, and placed everything in the living room. "Go upstairs and go to the room at the end of the hall, right side. That's my room, go sleep there, okay?"
Alex nodded and dragged his feet up the stairs.
Charlotte pulled out her phone and called Eric.
"Everything alright?" he answered quickly.
"Yeah, we're home now. Just got back from Merlotte's where I was questioned." She took off her jacket and placed it over her bags. "Apparently there was this rumor going around that Bill killed me and Sookie and turned us into vampires."
"Idiotic humans." Charlotte could practically see him rolling his eyes.
"Hey, some of those humans are my friends." She walked over to the kitchen and saw it was nearly empty. "Then some kid tried flirt with me," Eric growled. "Don't worry, Alex put him in his place."
"Good." She heard something move around. "Taught that boy well."
"What are you doing?"
"Well, since I was away for 2 weeks and Pam has had to deal with the bar, I'm currently going through paperwork." The sound of papers being moved around rang into the phone. "Are you going to bed now?"
"Yes, unless you don't mind me going over there." She smirked as she heard the papers stop. "Or you can come here. We still have hours until dawn."
"Don't tempt me, love." Eric purred deeply.
She grinned. "Fine, fine. So I guess I won't see you tonight?" she tried to hide the disappointment in her voice but he caught it.
"I'll be over there in 10 minutes. Let me just finish this and I'll see you."
She smiled. "Alright. See you soon, love you."
"Jag älskar dig." He hung up and she went through her bag for something to wear.
She found something to slip into and waited for Eric.
A soft knock came from the front door, making her slightly jump since she was spacing out while waiting. She got up, making sure her robe was secure, and walked to the door. She pushed the lace curtain to the side and saw Eric.
She slowly opened the door and leaned against the door frame. "Hello." she purred as she played with the end of her thigh length black and pink robe.
Eric's eyes traveled to her fingers as she played with the end of the robe. "Hello." His voice grew husky. "What are you doing?"
"Well," Charlotte stepped forward onto the porch so she was now touching Eric's chest area. "I'm waiting for you to come in." she started to un-button his shirt slowly, never taking her eyes away from his. "Would you like to come in, Eric?"
Eric bent down and picked her up, wrapping her legs around his waist, and closed the door. "I told you not to tease me." He said lowly as she wrapped her hands around his neck and her lips brushing against his.
"I'm not teasing." Charlotte placed a feather kiss in his lips. "I'm not doing anything." she took his lower lip into her mouth and started to suck and nibble on it.
He growled. "Sure you aren't."
She moved her lips to his ear. "Put me down."
He put her down carefully while watching her every move. She grabbed Eric's wrist and walked him over to the couch. She sat him down and stood in front of him.
Eric's eyes roam over her legs and the end of the robe. He growled and dragged her down to straddle his thighs, grabbing both of his hands in his. He held her still and stared at down. "Why are you doing this to me?"
She couldn't resist sending him a smirk just to stir him up some more as she felt him shifting under her. "What do you mean?"
He tugged her towards him and smiled as he kissed the tip of her nose. "You know exactly what I mean." He released her hands and curved his palms around her waist, pulling her closer. She settled over his lap, the snug position making her feel his erection right on under her.
Their eyes met and she smiled, overwhelmed by the affection that she felt for him. She reached out to stroke his cheek and he moved his head into her palm. "Seems like you have a problem there."
His thumb swept over the curve of her hips, his eyes softening. His gaze flicked to her mouth as she started to bite her lips. He reached up and tapped her chin with his forefinger, then dragged it down to her collar bone.
Charlotte's gaze traveled over him while she tried to decide if her next question would cross any kind of line. "Will you let me try something?" she asked. "Just out of curiosity?"
Eric raised an eyebrow. "Such as?"
"Let me kiss you." she told him plainly.
"You don't have to ask to kiss me." His eyes narrowed. "Why are you asking now?"
"Just one kiss." She held up one finger. "You can even hold my hands to make sure I don't feel you up and tease you."
He raised his brows. "What if I want to be felt up?"
She raised her brows back at him. "Then you can let go of my hands."
He kept his eyes on hers and grabbed her wrists, guiding them behind her back. He clamped them together at the base of her spine, holding her tightly but not hurting her. The change in position caused her breasts to thrust out mere inches from his mouth. His gaze lowered for just a fraction of a second, letting her know it hadn't gone unnoticed.
Her attention dropped to his lips. His mouth was firm and sensual, so inviting.
Eric watched her closely, his blue eyes taking everything in.
"What?" she asked, she'd suddenly lost herself while studying his lips.
"Nothing. It's just…" He gave her wrists a firm tug and she sucked in a breath. "This is turning you on. I could smell it coming off you."
"I can't help it. You are so close to me, my body can't control itself." His mouth lifted at one corner. She pressed her lips to his forehead, letting them linger there for a while. Faint traces of his clean, crisp cologne drifted towards her, teasing her senses. His free hand swept up and down her arm, leaving shivers in its wake. She leaned back and took her time looking him over, drinking in the view of him while she decided where her mouth should go next.
He gazed up at her, his expression filled with amusement. "Done?"
Charlotte smiled and touched her lips to his cheek. "Not even a little bit." She moved her mouth to his neck, leaving a trail of light, sucking kisses over his throat; a gentle lick here, a nibble there, his chin lifting to allow her easier access. Her mouth traveled up to the curve of his jaw. She pressed a soft kiss there, and then another, losing herself in the feel of him. "You smell so good," she said, nuzzling his throat.
His response vibrated against her lips as he moaned.
She nibbled his ear and flicked her tongue at the lobe. She knew she shouldn't torment him in this way, but the more she touched him, the more of him she wanted to touch. His hand kept both of hers secured behind her back and she strained against his hold, needing physical contact with him with her hands. Her breasts pressed against his chest and a low growl rumbled in his throat, her heartbeat quickening at the sound. His grip tightened, his strength causing a sudden, inexplicable craving inside her.
She pulled back to look into his eyes, surprised by the amount of need she saw there. With his clenched jaw and his steely hardness beneath her, she knew it would only take the slightest encouragement from her to break him.
Her hands jerked in his, she wanted them free so she could touch him. Somehow knowing he wouldn't let her go only heightened the struggle to touch him. His hips shifted beneath her, bringing her into closer contact with his erection. Her breathing turned shallow and she closed her eyes, fighting the need to moan.
"I lied," She said, opening her eyes and staring at him in wonder. "I want more."
"I know." He released her wrists and they sat watching one another. The tension in the air had become unbearable.
He decided to make the first move as he sank his fingers into her hair, dragging her against him and crushed his mouth to hers.
She kissed him back, thrusting her tongue against his. One hand plunged into his hair while the other wound around his neck. Her knees clamped either side of his thighs and she pressed down against his erection. His answering groan had desire surging inside her.
There were no teasing touches now; it was all heat and hunger.
Eric slid one palm down her spine, curving over her ass. He squeezed it and moved his mouth to her throat, leaving quick, damp kisses over flushed skin. "I can't control myself anymore." he said, lifting his head to look into her eyes, "My God, I want you."
The intensity in his gaze left her breathless. She pressed her mouth to his, her tongue plunging between his lips, her hands roaming his body. His muscles flexed beneath her fingers.
Eric's mouth left hers just long enough for him to grab the knot of her robe, pull it and toss it aside. He then did the same to the robe.
Charlotte sat before him in a smooth silk nude push-up bra and matching brief, her hair draped over one shoulder and lips swollen. Breathless and needy, she reached for him again. He groaned and kissed her hard, flicking open the clasp on her bra and whipping it from her body. His hand closed over her bare breast, massaging her flesh, his thumb sweeping across her nipple.
A thrill shot through her and she pressed herself to him, holding him tight. Her tongue caressed his, her fingers digging into his shoulders.
Eric pushed himself off the couch and took her with him. He helped her to her feet and worked on her underwear, shoving them over her hips. He pulled her to him again, giving her the impression he didn't want to let her go for more than a few seconds. It only made her want him more.
"Oh, God, Eric…this is…I need you." She stepped from panties and grabbed fistfuls of his shirt, tearing it apart and threw it away. Their lips met again and she poured everything into the kiss. She fumbled with the button on his pants, dragging them open.
Before she could free his erection, he lifted her in his arms and gripped her ass to hold her up. "Bed," he said against her mouth. "Upstairs."
She clutched his body, linking her ankles at his back and sinking her hands into his hair. He walked with her towards the stairs, when she remembered Alex was upstairs in her room. She slid her fingers into his open pants and clasped his erection, squeezing his length. She pulled her mouth from his, her breaths deep. "No," She said quickly. "Here."
Eric let out a deep groan and shoved his underwear over his erection. He stood with her wrapped around him, one hand clasping the back of her neck. The other hand gripped his cock, rubbing it slowly against her pussy.
She tucked her face against his throat and released a strangled cry as he guided inside her. She pushed her hips towards him to meet the thick glide of his cock, her eyes closing as he filled her. Exhilaration and arousal had her pulse racing and her skin flushing. Her stomach reeled with pleasure.
He pulled back and drove into her again, his breaths harsh, his body tense as she took him in. He made his way to the foot of the stairs and leaned down, his palm flattening against a wooden step while his other hand took her weight. She felt the press of the stairs against her back, the tension in his muscles beneath her fingertips. She lifted her chin and looked into his eyes; they were fiery in their intensity, roaming her face, breasts, just taking everything in. He sank into her and retreated again.
"Ahhh…Eric…that's so good." His thrusts pushed her back against the stairs. His chest brushed against hers, hardening her nipples to tingling points. He leaned in and kissed her, his quick breaths expelling against her cheek.
The sensations overwhelmed her.
She needed to cum. She needed it so badly.
He plunged inside her over and over, his movements so deep, so forceful, they both knew it wouldn't take long.
She hooked her hands over the backs of his shoulders and met his thrusts with bucking hips. A groan rumbled in his throat and he kissed her harder, his fingers gripping her ass tightly. His speed increased and she felt it building inside her.
Her stomach dipped and her back arched. She tore her mouth from his and tilted her head. His lips moved to her throat and she dragged in a breath as it came over her, both the bite and the orgasm. It crashed in a wave that sucked her under, had her shaking, pulsing around him. "Oohhh…" Her thighs clenched and she held on tight to him, her nails digging into Eric's shoulders to the point it broke skin.
The tip of his tongue traced the holes in her throat, licking up the blood.
Desire surged and her hips lifted. She let out a loud sigh and collapsed, trembling, against his supporting arm.
"Ahhh, Charlotte." His thrusts eased to a slow grind and he pressed his mouth to hers, staining her mouth with her blood. His lips moved softly, his tongue caressing hers. Knowing he was close had excitement building inside her all over again. His stomach muscles tightened and with a quiet groan he shuddered and bit her again. Her eyes closed and her heart pounded as he gave one final shove, his sound of surrender one of the most erotic things she'd ever heard.
Even after everything they'd shared, after everything he'd made her feel, all she could think now was: More. His mouth left her throat and she wrapped her arms around him, resting her lips against his throat.
He brought his wrist to his mouth and bit it. "Drink, I took more of your blood then I thought."
She took his wrists with shaking hands and pressed it against her lips, drinking his sweet blood. As this was happening, he started to kiss and lick the holes at her throat while slowly moving his hips back and forth again.
She moaned as she continued to drink, the feel of him pumping into slowly into her making her hips thrust to meet his.
"Jag kan inte sluta …" he whispered in her ear, she could hear him hold back a groan as he went in deep. "Jag måste ha dig igen." (I can't stop… I must have you again.)
"Sedan ta mig, ty jag är din." She threw her head back and moaned under her breath, not wanting to be loud and wake Alex up. "Inte alltför högt, är Alex sover." (Then take me, for I am all yours. Not too loud, Alex is sleeping.)
Eric smirked and slammed into her, making her cover her mouth to hide a loud moan. "This is going to be fun."
Charlotte glared and decided to cheat. She used her power to flip them over so now she was on top. "You are right, this is going to be fun."
There it is!
