*Rachael's POV*
Ha… The one I loved could very well have killed me.
Uh… I can explain.
See, it started out as a normal walk so tenderly shared with Scrooge. As both of our hands were in a warm embrace with each other, we walked back toward my first base of operations. I expected nothing but some cute time together out of this entire thing.
Then, I was suddenly getting beat back… pounded to a pulp and pushed to the point where my hand was practically yanked from Scrooge's… by an unforgiving Zombie.
I stared into its eyes for a moment. Soulless… The polar opposite of that which Alex had possessed… Alex's eyes had always held a gleam of hope. He had always and only longed to be a great friend.
This… This was not Alex.
Therefore, I turned to face it, growling and proceeding to slice it up with my sword. A few slashes and slices later, and it keeled over to the side, presenting me with the involuntary apology gift of its own useless and poisoned flesh.
As I went to reach for Scrooge's hand again, he went "That… was… AMAZING!"
I soon felt something pulling my sword by its blade.
"Let me try!" Scrooge begged. "Let me try!"
He gave me the puppy eyes that an Enderman should not be allowed to have.
Becoming overwhelmed by the absolute guilt they gave me, I huffed "Alright. Have a go."
At that, Scrooge took the sword into his hands, staring at it as if it were a lost puppy itself.
"You won't regret it!" he assured me.
At that, he caught sight of his victim. A cranky Spider. He swung at it, hitting it dead on the first time.
At that, it lunged at him. He retaliated rather quickly and landed another hit.
I gasped, however, as he missed the next time, resulting in some damage caused by the Spider's next lunge.
"Scrooge…" I cried in a whisper to myself.
If this was his demise…
Fortunately, he got his composure back and began, humorously, knocking the Spider back with every lunge it took.
However, here's where the interesting series of events began to play out.
Scrooge teleported a decent distance away from the Spider, then began to… twirl around in a fast-paced circle… swinging the sword around in one huge, deadly circle…
The Spider reached him, and to Scrooge's luck, that spot was where the sword happened to be at that one split second, so Scrooge's final move left nothing more than a pile of string on the ground.
To Scrooge's misfortune, however, the sword flew from his grasp directly afterwards.
And it flew directly at me.
I screamed, purposely falling to the ground. I could feel the iron blade graze my helmet.
At the next second, I heard what seemed to be your classic arrow.
Instead, I got up and saw the sword lodged between the planks of wood that composed my first base of operations.
"Rachael?!" Scrooge exclaimed, turning around to look at me.
"Uh…" was all I could utter. I looked back to the sword again.
Pristinely deadly aim, my love.
"…I could have killed you with that thing," he gasped, shaking to the core.
"Well…" I replied. "…I guess you're not too great with weaponry, huh?"
All he could do was stare, shocked, from me to the sword that dangled by its blade.
