No One Hurts My Crush
Kim's P.O.V
I walked onto the courtyard of the mall, my hand intertwined with my new boyfriend, Drew's hand.
I noticed Jack skating away from Joan who was trying to catch him. Great, I've been wanting to introduce him to Drew.
I went over to where Jack was passing by and looked at him with a large smile before telling him,
"Jack, I wanted you to meet my new boyfriend, Drew!" I say happily as I pull on Drew's arm, shifting him over to us.
Jack looked completely shocked; he wasn't looking where he was going and crashed, landing down on the ground, harshly.
Joan ran over and pulled him up by the back of his shirt, Jack immediately clutched his arm, a look of pain on his face, but I could see disappointment in his eyes.
"Looks like Mr. Kicky-Kicky-Chop-Chop, chop-chopped his arm." Joan said, with a chuckle as she dragged him away.
I feel really bad for Jack, he hurt his arm really badly, it breaks my heart knowing he's in pain.
I didn't tell Drew about my crush on Jack of course, that would just be stupid and awkward.
But I probably won't get over Jack, no matter what. I'm still glad I have Drew though, he is a good guy most of the time and he is good to me.
But the thing about Jack and I is, we always act like a couple, we flirt a lot, we occasionally hold hands and I usually kiss his cheek.
The next day, Jack shows up to karate practice with his arm in an arm-sling.
I feel so bad for him right now; he was in a pretty big shock when I told him about Drew and it didn't help that he was on his skateboard at the time.
"Are you okay, Jackie?" I asked concerned, using my private nickname for him.
"Yeah, I'm alright, my arm just hurts a little, but I'm still gonna train, Kimmy" He assured me, with his signature smile that lights up my world. Don't tell Drew I just thought that.
"Good, I can't have you hurt," I say with a smile as I give him a peck on the cheek and then jog over to a punching dummy.
Jack just smiled an chuckled slightly as he passed me to get to the boys changing room, I just stared down at the ground as I reminisced about his wonderful smile that gives me chills.
Now usually I wouldn't mind daydreaming about Jack, but I have a boyfriend now so I probably shouldn't do that as much…
I really like Drew, but nothing can stop me from loving Jack.
After we were all ready and stretching, Rudy assigned us sparring partners and we worked really hard all through practice, beating up dummies, swinging bo-staffs, and chopping up boards, Jack couldn't do that though.
After we were finished and all changed back into our usual clothes, Drew walked over to the dojo doors waiting for me to come out.
"Bye guys," I quickly say with a smile and wave, "Bye Jack." My smile widens and I give him a quick side-hug before running out to Drew.
"Hey Drew," I greeted with a large smile, he smiled back and said,
"Hey Kimmy." Which made me just slightly annoyed.
"Um, can you please not call me that…?" I asked him, softly, a half smile evident on my face.
"Oh, okay, no problem." He replied, nicely before taking my hand in his and swinging them back and forth as he walked me into Phil's for our fourth date, he had asked me to be his girlfriend after our third.
We sat at a table in the middle of Phil's before Phil ran over, tripping on his way.
"Hellowz Kimz." Phil said to me while rubbing the small bruise on his head, before turning to Drew, "Hi. I am Phil, are you new wabobo warrior?"
"Phil…its wasabi warrior. And no, this is my boyfriend, Drew." I told him with a smile.
He nodded and waved to Drew before whispering to himself, "Yes! Now Joan owes me 10 Hakamaki dollars! I knew the Jacks would notz ask her out yet."
That made me raise a brow but I just ignored his comment and began a conversation with Drew as Phil walked away, forgetting to take our order.
"Thanks for taking me out, Drew." I told him, a smile on my face as well as the one that just appeared on his.
"No problem, Kim. It's great spending time with my girl." He replied sweetly.
We talked for a little while and got Phil to come back and take our order before I noticed Jack walk in with the guys.
Jack saw me so I smiled and waved to him and he returned the smile with one of his million watt grins and a quick wave of his arm, leaving the broken one in its sling.
They sat at their usual booth and began talking, I kept noticing Jack glance at Drew and I but I didn't mind, it was cute.
Drew got up to get some water and Jack quickly slid out of the booth while the guys were arguing.
He crouched by me with a smile before he whispered, "Hey Kimmy,"
"Hey, what's up with the guys?" I asked curiously, smirking as I glanced at them.
"Dunno, same as always arguing over Pi and pie…"He whispered back, smiling with a slight chuckle.
"Yeah, you wouldn't know 'cause you're too busy staring at me…" I replied, smirking as I stared at his dazzling brown eyes.
"Can't a guy stare at his pretty best friend…?" was Jack's quite reply. He's so sweet.
I giggled a little and he shot me a smile before saying
"Talk to you later, Kimmy." And sending a wink my way then sliding back into the booth, breaking up the argument between the two dummies.
Drew came back a little bit after Jack left, he looked over at Jack and rose his brow at him.
I just ignored it and began talking to Drew once more.
He spoke a little more than I did, he kept saying how he beat everyone at some video game, it sounded pretty cool, but after he mentioned something about a girl that was really bad at it, it got kinda annoying. He just kept on saying how awesome his cheat codes were.
I was a little bored by the end, and he wasn't acting that polite but I figured it was nothing.
After our date, I hung out with Jack, he was telling me jokes, Jack is so funny, he can manage to make me laugh at anything even if I'm sad, that's one of the greatest things about him.
He was chuckling at something I told him as I shot him a smile.
"You have a really cute smile Kim." He said sweetly, awww.
"Thanks Jackie."I replied, looking into his eyes as he looked into mine, I quickly pecked his cheek and ran off, since I have to get home. I always do that with Jack, it's part of our friendship, I won't stop doing that no matter what. I'm not cheating on Drew, Jack is just my best friend.
As I ran I yelled, "See you tomorrow, Jackie!" over my shoulder, a huge smile on my face.
"Okay, Kimmy!" He yelled back with a smile as well.
The Next Day, At School
I walked into school to find Drew standing by my locker, I went over to him but a couple of his friends beat me to it.
"Hi Drew." I said, as he and his friends went on with their conversation.
"One sec, Kim." He replied before turning back to the two guys.
After they walked away he turned to me and took my hand in his before kissing my cheek.
I gave him a small smile, not a big one because what he just did kind of bothered me.
I opened up my locker and began taking out my books as he asked me what I thought of his hair today, he had put down his brown bangs and a few strands of hair were slightly in his eyes.
"It looks pretty good." I told him, nodding my head as he smiled widely.
"Awesome, right? I know!" He happily replied, his smile still on his face as he moves some strands an inch to the left. Wow. He didn't even say anything about me, he was busy with his hair.
Jack walked into the school and over to his locker, which is beside mine. He shot me a smile before saying,
"Hey Kim, how was your morning?"
"It was pretty good, what about you?" I replied, smiling back at his niceness.
"It was great." He replied, making me giggle a little, I didn't let Drew realize though.
A while ago, I had found out that whenever Jack has a good dream, he says his morning was great. When he told me that, he had also told me he had a dream that he and I were watching the stars in the night sky, which had made me blush. He said all his good dreams have me in them, which I found extremely sweet.
I got all my books and said quickly said, "Bye Jack." As Drew dragged me away from him and off to class.
During lunch, I met up with the guys at our usual table and Drew sat with us.
"Can you please move over a little?" Drew politely asked Milton who was sitting on one side of me. Jack sat on the other side of me, like he always did.
Milton shifted his chair to allow Drew to bring over a chair and sit beside me.
As Milton and Jerry argued, Drew was telling us all something he and his friends did during the weekend, none of us were really listening, Jack and I were just talking as he kept on rambling.
Drew and I have been dating for a couple days and sometimes he is incredibly sweet, but others he is a jerk. I just ignore all the annoying things he did because he probably doesn't mean it.
The next day, Drew spend lunch with his friends at their usual table instead of with me, we don't really talk much that day, I'm not sure why, we just didn't. Sometimes it's like he doesn't really care about me being his girlfriend.
But I don't focus all my attention on that, I care more about how Jack's arm is still in a cast and he still has to use the arm sling, it hurts me knowing he is in pain, it's kind of my fault, I shouldn't have just come up to him, but every time I apologies he tells me it was an accident and that I shouldn't blame myself for something that wasn't my fault. How can he be so sweet and so adorable at the same time?
It's become pretty obvious to me that Drew dislikes Jack, but I don't think he should, Jack is my best friend and it's normal for us to act that way towards each other.
I've been dating Drew for a week now and Jack and I were just haning out in the mall, by Phil's.
I started blushing and giggling when Jack told me about a dream he had.
"Your giggle makes you a million times cuter." Jack told me, smiling down at me.
I bit my lip and stared up at him as he smiled, "You have an adorable smile." I told him, sweetly and he kissed my cheek.
"Your smile is prettier." He challenged, half smiling, looking deeper into my eyes.
I put my arm around his waist in a side hug, and when I pulled away I noticed Drew walk over to us like he had been watching the whole time.
He glared at Jack who just looked at him, not knowing what was wrong.
He kept his glare still as he connected his fist with Jack's eye.
"Ugh." Jack quietly whimpered as Drew's fist left his eye and he cupped it with his non-broken hand.
I stared at Drew, shocked and angry as he kept on glaring at Jack, who began to walk into the dojo.
"Drew! What was that!?" I yelled at him, my anger showing in my voice.
Milton's P.O.V
Jerry and I were hanging out in the dojo when Jack walked in with a black eye. We both just stared at him, shocked before Jerry asked,
"What happened, yo?"
"I was flirting with Kim so her boyfriend punched me in the eye." He told us, emotionless.
Then Kim walked in from behind him and added,
"Which is why I broke up with him."
She stood beside Jack and pecked his cheek before he laid his head on her shoulder, with a frown on both their faces.
"Are you okay, Jack?" I ask him, concerned.
"Yeah, my eye only hurts a little." He told me, the frown still on his face.
"I'll get you some ice." Kim said as she took his hand and walked him out carefully.
Jack's P.O.V
Kim and I walked into Phil's and she told Phil to get some ice for my eye.
We sat down in a booth, beside each other.
I'm actually happy she broke up with Drew, I hated seeing them together, I just like her so much.
"I'm sorry about the whole thing with Drew." I told her truthfully as I laid my head on her shoulder once again.
"It's okay, I'm kind of glad we broke up." She told me, a small half smile on her face.
"Honestly, I am too" I told her.
"Why?" She asked, curious.
"Because I like you, Kimmy." I stated, my lips forming a smile.
"I like you too, Jackie ." she replied, a smile on her face as well, which made my insides hurt, in a good way.
Now I can finally ask Kim to be my girlfriend, but Kim said something first.
"And you can take that as a yes." She informed me. But I was just confused.
"Yes to what?" I asked he, I noticed a large smile on her face as she replied.
"Yes to me being your girlfriend."
I smiled as well, before taking my head off her shoulder and planting a long, sweet kiss on her cheek. My arm and eye still hurt, but at least I've got my girl.
