Disclaimer: I must say all the characters in this chapter are my creation but the world itself is by Rick Riordan.

Author's Notes: Getting close to 50 chapters. When I started this, I never never thought it would streech so much (maybe 30,000 words or something like that), well, I also didn't expected so amazing fan base like Zero, Nik, Charlee, WinterWolf, CatsRcute, Loloree, SoulHorse, silverwolf, Horse1lover3, asian-panda, all guests, and so many more that I will need a chapter just to express my gratittude. Last chapter, this and the next are probably my most difficult chapters to write. It took me a while and help to get it done. Thankfully, Zero had my back on this. 16,680+ views.

The Storm on Us (Collaboration with Zero Son of Seven)

I was in the middle of two difficult choices: helping Mer from Ewan or helping Ewan against my twin sister. Whatever I chose, I was getting hurt emotionally and physically. Ewan and Mer stared at each other waiting for the other to attack first. Her pitch black eyes were fixed on her prey. The air around Ewan was getting thicker and more violent.

"Zeus' son" said Mer "I was expecting you to come out from your hideout… and you brought Poseidon's daughter"

"I wasn't hiding" said Ewan.

"Thank you for making my job easier. Once I am done with you and her, Camp won't have a chance against me. I am finally inside" said Mer and I gasped in complete perplexed surprise. This was a trap. I felt like a fool being so easily tricked like this.

I hated myself for what I was about to do but I had to protect Camp. I turned to face Mer with nothing but my determination to defeat her.

"Do you think you withstand a chance? Weaponless?" said Mer smugly "Poor deluded legacy"

"I'm sorry" I said and I rushed at her. She saw me like an easy prey and that was her error. I attacked sideway just to distract her and give Ewan a chance. Ewan understood what I was doing and charged to her. I used the moment of their blades meeting to get to my knife boot by the chariot wing. I took it quickly and rushed to my sister.

Ewan and I fought her. Lana ran to Taylor and cut his ropes. I saw her from the corner of my eye trying to wake him up in vain. He was really out.

Swing after swing, blow after blow was the only thing heard around us. The night was getting closer and the sun was almost gone. My breathing was heavy and my movements were still doubtful, but I stood my ground. I could not let Mer hurt anyone else again.

"Mer please, I don't want to hurt you!" I pleaded to her one last time. I hoped to Mer to recognize me again, to be my sister again.

She rushed towards us ignoring my plea and once again we traded blows. Her sword skills were always as good as me, but today she seemed far better than Ewan and me. I rushed at her and she evaded me. Ewan tried to stab her but she caught his wrist and threw him towards Thalia's tree trunk. She swung her sword downward with such force that rivals any Cyclops. I managed to block it but the sheer power from her blow brought me to my knees to the ground.

"Agh!" I yelled as I could feel the pain in my body. I looked to her stoic face and way of attacking. I was starting to think that perhaps Clovis was right, Mer was completely gone. She had changed by someone else and she was our enemy. She approached to me ready for final swing and I would be death.

Ewan attacked her distracting her from me, so I could have a chance to stand up and fight again. Lana was next to Taylor still trying to wake up but my best friend was probably the heaviest sleeper ever.

"Lana, help Clovis" I yelled. From the last minutes, Clovis was pale and I could bet his heart was already slowing down. Even if I didn't like him, I couldn't let him die like this. He did what the Gods asked him.

"Okay!" yelled Lana and she circled the fighting ground. She got closer to Clovis and Mer saw her.

Mer stopped everything to rush to Lana. Triton's daughter didn't have a time to act and Mer buried her blade on her left shoulder. I heard Lana's painful scream resonating on my head. Twice she has being hurt because of me, because I wasn't fast enough to stop my sister. Ewan and I rushed to them. Mer jumped back drawing her sword and attacked us again. Lana touched her wound in complete shock and I saw her tears coming down. She looked so helpless that I wanted to walk out of the fight to check on her.

Ewan saw my hesitation and yelled at me "Go" I nodded and he distracted Mer as I ran to Lana.

"Lana, look at me" I said taking her face in my hands. Her eyes were fixed on Clovis' dead body "Are you okay?"

"I am late. He's dead" whispered Lana "I'm sorry"

"No, it's my fault. I was the one who told you too late" I said and she looked at me "Are you okay?"

"Sorry for not telling you" said Lana.

"I am not mad" I said "I get it".

Suddenly, I heard Ewan yelling as Mer cut his right sword forearm. I turned to see him bleeding profusely from a very deep wound that almost reached the bone. He wouldn't use his good arm now.

"Help him" whispered Lana weakly and I looked at her. I nodded and ran back to the fight.

Mer was approaching for the final blow to Ewan who dropped his sword to apply pressure on the open wound. He was defenseless against her. I stood between them ready to help my friend and Lana's boyfriend.

"Fine then!" I yelled to Mer "If you don't want to stop this" I summoned every drop of water around me. I saw the grass and leaves turning orange and brown as I was drying them up. The liquid responded and I attacked with strong jets to her "Then, I'm sorry, Mer"

One jet stream connected to Mer and I pushed her with such force that I didn't know I had, sending Mer in shock against Thalia's tree. I didn't know where this power came from but I felt my body lighter and stronger. All my energy restored. I looked at Lana and her shoulder was healing as a little layer of water was running over her skin.

"You can do it!" yelled Ewan.

I picked up Ewan's sword and I slashed upward on Mer, scratching her shoulder. I moved around her throwing slashes here and there downward, side way, horizontal slash, every movement that I knew, I used it on Mer. My sister couldn't do anything as my body move faster and faster, perhaps even faster than anybody at Camp.

After so many attacks, I finally pushed her to the ground cornering her bellow me. I dropped Ewan's sword and I took my knife boot. I placed it on her neck. I was breathing in shallow intakes of air. I was tired.

"It's over, Mer. You lose" I said "I will take you to New Rome and cure you"

"You finally defeat me, huh, legacy… TJ" said Mer making my breath stuck on my throat as she said my name. She proved me wrong, that I made a big mistake as she kicked in the stomach sending to fall on my back.

Mer quickly stood up and she picked up her sword. "So naïve, legacy" she said as the blade's tip was touching my neck. She gently pushed it and I felt my blood pouring.

"Mer" I said with pleading eyes. I was defeated and once she killed me, nothing would stop her from killing Ewan, Lana and everybody at Camp including my family.

"Any last word, legacy?" she said coldly as her eyes gazed on me.

I wanted to be brave and tell her that she wasn't going to win. However, if this was my last minute, I wanted to be honest. I said "Meredith, I forgive you, and I love you, sis, always" I closed my eyes, ready to accept my fate: dying at the hand of my own sister, who I failed to save. I hoped for everybody to forgive me for being so weak.

However, rather than a sharp pain on my body as the blade broke my skin and bones, I heard thunders echoing in the sky. I opened my eyes and I saw up. Minutes ago, the nightly sky was clear but now big gray storm clouds surrounded camp. Mer looked up too and whispered "Zeus" she stood up totally forgetting about me.

I knew what she meant. The King of Gods was close and on us. Even if she was my enemy, she was still my family. I still wonder how I found myself yelling "Run!"

She looked at me and her eyes changed from pitch black to her grayish sea green eyes. She dropped her sword as she understood what she was doing.

"Theo?" she whispered.

"Mer?" I said and sat up on my elbows. She looked up and around, mostly to Ewan who was once again on his feet with his sword at his left hand and ready to attack, to fulfill his quest.

"It's okay. I caused so much pain" said Mer and she said what I feared the most. She was aware of everything. She did it by her free will.

"You didn't know. They used you" I said hoping for her to be lying. Mer wasn't a killer. She was sometimes annoying but she was sweet, funny and caring.

Mer looked at me and I saw a timid tear in the corner of her left eyes. She said "Perhaps, a part of me wanted to do it too, a part of me felt that the Gods deserved it. They drove us apart"

Mer took her sword once again and advanced to Ewan looking for a deathly fight, a death wish. I yelled "Mer! Don't!"

I stood up fast and stood between them once again. Mer's eyes lost her familiar color until there was only blackness in them.

"Cyan, bane of demigods" she said coldly. I heard Ewan raising his sword behind me. He was ready to fight once again.

"You are my sister. I love you" I said hoping to see my sister once again.

"I have to kill demigods" said Mer even more coldly like the robot I hated it the most.

"No, you don't. You have to be my sister again" I pleaded as I saw the determination of both of them to end this fight hopefully killing the other.

"TJ, move aside" said Ewan and I felt his hand on my shoulder. I turned my head to see him but it was a mistake. Mer ran at us and stabbed my chest by the lung. She cut me through completely hoping to stab Ewan as well. However, Ewan jumped back just in time and the blade tip barely touched his skin.

It took a couple of seconds to my brain to fully grasp what was happening. It was until I heard Lana yelling my name that I realized that I was a human brochette. I gasped and barely trembled in shock. The adrenaline was pumping fast and strong in my blood torrent so I wasn't able to feel the pain yet.

"TJ!" yelled Ewan. Mer kicked my chest drawing her sword out of me. Ewan caught me before I fell hard on the ground. He placed me down gently and I heard him rushing to Mer. I heard their swords clashing and Lana running to me.

"Theo?" Lana whispered as she put her hand on my wound trying to contain in vain the blood from coming out "You can't die. You hear me"

"Whatever you say" I said with a little smile on my face. Even in this moment of pain and confusion, I was happy of hearing her worried for me. I felt water following Lana's command and finding the way to me. The water healed me and I was instantly feeling a lot better. I opened my eyes and I saw Lana's looking at me containing her tears "Hi"

"Hi" she whispered "You are an..."

Suddenly, I felt Lana's body over me as she protected me from the explosion. I heard the thunder and I smelled the air filled with ozone.

I opened my eyes just to see Mer's open stomach. Her whole insides burned as it was struck by lightning. I looked around and saw Ewan saying to the sky "It is done, father"

Mer drop her sword and just before she fell down to the ground, my body found a new strength and managed to catch her. Her mouth had a trail of blood and her whole body was smoking from the heat and power of the lightning.

"MER!" I shouted as hard as I could. Tears started to fall on my eyes. I saw her eyes looking vacantly to the sky, still black and empty as the bane of demigods.

After a moment, I feel someone's hand on my shoulder. By turning around, it was Lana's hand. I saw Lana and Ewan holding hands and looking at me.

"TJ?" asked Ewan concerned.

Anger started to fill my body and I stood up fast. I pushed Lana out of the way and punched Ewan, sending him back down. I jumped on him and I kept punching him relentlessly and merciless. My friend's face was filling with bruises. I felt Lana's hands trying to pull me out but I was bigger and stronger. I heard her pleas but I only angered that she was trying to help him.

"Theo!?" I heard Mer calling me and I ran to her side forgetting all about Ewan and Lana.

I kneeled next to Mer. Her eyes were hers and I felt my eyes with more tears. She was dying and she was aware of it. I knew by her erratic breathing and pale lips. She was doing her best to stay alive.

"You are bleeding out" I said and summoned water from our surroundings, but the water wasn't moving. Mer was stopping me. "What are you doing? Stop!"

"What is right" she whispered with a small smile on her lips. Her powers prevented me to saving her. I felt her blood and life slipping out of her. "Thank you" We locked eyes. She smiled, her smile. The one I dreamed about it for 10 long years. Her eyes filled with tears "I'm so sorry. I tried to protect you" she said "I love you"

"I love you, Mer" I said. She raised her hand to rub off the tears of my eyes.

Then I lost her as her eyes turned black. She was gone just like that. The Bane tried to stand up, to fight again whispering "Devil… Golf… Course…" non-stop until she ran out of breathe and life. Like a drama movie or maybe just my luck, it started to pour down. The rain water was healing all my remaining wounds but it was just a little late for my sister.
