The trio and Pam were feeling a bit at ease when the doctor told them he had good news.

"The treatment has been going well and you're doing really good Pam. My guess, if there aren't any setbacks in the next three months, you'll be cancer free."

They all sighed in relief and smiled. Seth hugged his mom and thanked God silently. He couldn't stop the tears that formed in his eyes.

"That's the best news we could have hoped for. Thanks so much doctor. For everything."

Dr. Finlay smiled. "My pleasure. There are still some sessions of the radiation therapy we need to finish. No doubt they have been helping so we'll finish those out since they are killing the cancerous cells. You're one of he strongest women I've ever come across of Pam. Congrats and keep it up. See you guys later."

"What a relief." Roman rubbed his hands together then went to hug Pam before Dean did the same.

"You hear that Leah? Grandma is getting all better." Dean cooed his daughter. Leah smiled and squirmed around in Pam's arms. They all shared a laugh and made light conversation. There was a certain positive energy in the room now and it put everybody in an every better mood than before.

After leaving the hospital, Roman dropped Dean and Seth off at the gym. He decided to go home with Leah and rest for a while.

"Hey guys. How's your mom Seth?" Phil walked over and greeted them.

"Great, she's making huge progress and she could become cancer free in three months." Seth clapped his hands happily.

"Wow, awesome. I'm so happy for her. She's a tough one."

Dean nodded in agreement. "Show us the bling." He nodded at Phil's left hand.

Phil blushed as he extended his arm and showed them the engagement ring on his ring finger.

"Holy shit. Look at the diamonds on that thing." Dean grasped his hand and brought it closer to his eyes.

Seth frowned. "It has more diamonds than the ones I gave you and Roman. That means you hate it! You hate the ring I got you, don't you? I knew it. I suck at picking rings." Seth startled to babble as the tears came again. He wiped them away and hung his head low.

Dean and Phil were trying really hard not to laugh. Pregnant Seth was too adorable.

"Babe..." Dean cupped his face and tilted his head back up. "I love my ring. I don't like too much bling anyways. Roman doesn't either. They're perfect okay? You did amazing at picking them out." He kissed Seth's temple.

A sudden smile formed on Seth's face. "Okay good. So when do we start planning?" He turned to Phil.

Phil chuckled. "I suppose as soon as possible. John wants to get married as soon as the NFL season is over.

"Let's get to it then. If we have doubts on something, we could ask my mom and John, I guess." Seth motioned for them to walk to their office. "Baby, are you coming?"

"I'll stay out here and take care of things." Dean waved them off. Wedding planning wasn't exactly his forte.

"Are you okay?" Seth frowned and cupped Dean's face.

"Yeah, yeah. I'm fine. Go on." Dean flashed his husband the best smile he could give at the moment. They kissed briefly before Seth walked away with Phil.

When Roman got home, he put Leah in her play pen and sat down on the couch, to make a phone call. He dialed the number to the team doctor of the 49ers. He wanted to know how soon he could be cleared to play again.

"You've been out for a while Roman so I don't doubt that you've made progress. Stop by the training facility tomorrow and I'll check you out. We'll just go from there."

Roman sighed but agreed anyways. He was becoming extremely impatient and wanted to get back before playoffs started. His eyes traveled over to Leah who had started to cry.

"What's wrong baby girl?" He picked her up from the play pen and looked into her big brown eyes. They were glossy with tears. It broke his heart every time. "Is it your teeth again? Come on, I'll sooth your gums and make you feel better." He kissed her cheek and walked upstairs. He grabbed a cloth and damped it a little. He headed for the bedroom and laid her down on the bed. "Here baby, open your mouth." Roman managed to get the cloth on her gums and he soothed them in circles softly. Leah's crying was decreasing. "All better? Let me do the bottom now." As he did her bottom gums, Leah reached for Roman's loose hair and tugged on it. It made Roman laugh. The one day he decided to let his hair loose. Leah continued to play with his hair as he finished up with her gums. "There you go Leah baby." Roman placed the cloth in the hamper and went back downstairs to feed her and himself. He kissed her cheek and placed her on the high chair located in the kitchen.

Seth and Phil spent the next couple of hours going over wedding plans. The venue, invitations, church, tuxedos, food, music, etc.

"This is getting stressful already." Phil sighed.

"We haven't even started anything." Seth laughed. "We've only talked about it.

"I know but there's a lot that goes into planning a wedding. Look at all this." He lifted up the paper where they had written a list.

"Look, it doesn't have to be a huge extravaganza. Just big enough for your families and friends.

"Sure its a lot but that why you have me, Roman, and Dean. We'll help you out in everything you need. Unless...you don't want my help." Seth suddenly pouted.

Phil shook with laughter. "Of course I want your help Seth. Besides, you're the best man. It's kind of your job." He joked and they shared a laugh.

Don't worry. We'll get everything done and we'll make sure to take our time on it. Rushed weddings never work out." Seth pointed out.

There was a lot going on for them in the next multiple months. His mom would most likely be cancer free and get discharged from the hospital, Roman might go back to playing football, and all the wedding planning for Phil's and John's wedding. On top of that, Seth was pregnant with the twins.

He suddenly felt like he wasn't the main focus of everybody. That kind of bothered him for some reason. It had to be the hormones for sure because Seth was never selfish like that. He knew everybody would make the effort to get around everything that was going on; including his pregnancy. He just prayed he could keep it together until the 9 months were over. He could keep it together.

Dean on the other hand, was also feeling overwhelmed with everything going on. He hated that Leah was growing up fast. The wedding. The anticipation of Pam and Roman, the twins. It was beginning to be too much for Dean, once he really thought about it.

He paced behind the front desk, the palm of his hand rubbing across his chest. He was thinking about everything all at once, and it freaked him out. Not that his life with Roman and Seth has ever been easy, but this time around, it felt like too much weight had gone crashing down on them. He'll, they've been through worse but right now, it seemed like too much was going on at the same time.

As the seconds went by, he felt himself getting more anxious. He tapped his index finger against his chest repeatedly. He needed something to relax him quick. But what?

He suddenly stopped his movements when the worst thing that he could ever think of crossed his mind.

No. I will never go back to that. I won't fall back into that shit. I can do something else to relieve this stress.

Dean tried to think of something else. It didn't seem to work though. All his thoughts turned to the one thing that use to relax him way back in time. The one thing he abused and nearly killed him. Xanax.

It was a horrible idea and Dean knew that. But what damage will one make?

Just one. He thought to himself.
