CopraMeow: Yeah, she really is quite the cockblock XD but she doesn't know she's doing it lol. As for how Rin sees Destiny, it's more of a daughter thing than a sister. Rin is somewhere in her twenties and Destiny is somewhere between six and eight...I honestly can't remember how old I made her but I need to know. I have a cute picture of her and Rin along with Sayoko but you don't know who that is XD. Thank you for the congrats, I'm happy I reached chapter 50. I wonder if TCM will end up with the same amount of chapters as DLS. I want it to, but I don't know how it'll turn out in the end. The story is getting quite close to the end though. Bonney is about to show back up, then Akainu and his crazy ass marines are gonna show up, then the whole thing I have planned with Vegapunk...so much to do...so little time! I just hope my exams don't get in the way of my creativity. They start in two weeks and I'm soooooo not prepared.
FrostysMillenium: It's fine, I understand people get busy and I would have waited, but it would have killed me. I've tried waiting on reviewers and I wind up waiting for weeks on end with a finished chapter sitting on my desk gathering dust and it kills me. So, I updated after waiting as long as I could. The thing between Jordan and Chamberlain was a really nice pairing in my opinion. It added some comedic relief to the story, among all the other things I choose to throw in there. Yeah, Destiny isn't earning any good points from Kid at the moment, that much is certain. But he doesn't exactly hate the girl, he just doesn't know that yet himself XD.
BrainDeadMaggot: I don't think my plan was for it to be literal...lol, you're comment made me laugh. I'm sorry you got weird looks from people, but I seem to have that effect on my readers when they read my stories on their mobile devices. As much as I enjoy it, I feel bad for them getting odd or strange looks from their reactions, but I do it too when I'm reading fanfiction. There shall be more Chadan, I promise you that.
BloodRein: I do love you for reading my fic. I just see Killer as being a really good trainer for those who want to learn to fight.
Guest: I don't know who you are so I can't really give a proper shoutout, but still. I'm glad you like how the story started, I was actually concerned when I first started writing it that people wouldn't like how I chose to have Rin pulled into the One Piece world.
Knyttet: It would be rather interesting :) I may just do that.
Yumi sawamura: Lol, I'm sorry you lost your bet, but it was funny reading your review. Now I want something covered in chocolate. Hope you guys enjoy this chapter as well. This story, sadly, is coming to a close, so as sad as it is, I hope you guys enjoy the rest of it and leave me reviews.
Luvrainluv: It's alright that you disappeared, I do that sometimes when I'm writing. Destiny is an adorable little girl isn't she? I thought it would be sweet to give Rin a daughter. She is a cock-block, but she isn't aware of it, that's what makes it so funny XD
Miyukino: It does if you understand the fact her sister's spirit is suppose to represent what's right and just. She's kind of attempting to make everything balanced and right. It's hard to explain, but it does make sense.
gincitri: Thank you, and I do know its suppose to be after it, but I want it to say 'Brother-Killer'.
Kiteria: To everyone else who may have reviewed after I updated, thank you for staying with me this long and I apologize for any grammatical or whatever else errors. I own nothing from One Piece, simply my OCs that I chose to throw in every now and again such as Kat, Nikki, Destiny, Rin, and more. This story is slowly winding down, but stay tuned for I have more in store for our two Kid pirates.
Killer watched from his spot hidden by the trees as Destiny dealt with the men who had tried to board the ship. Kid and the others had gone off to restock, though Kid and Trinity were bickering again. The blonde had found it amusing at first, but now it just got on his nerves and it was effecting the way Kid dealt with situations, that much was obvious when he'd gotten attacked by one of the jungle cats on the island a few weeks back and went overboard. By the time Kid was finished, the grass looked like someone had dumped an entire bucket of blood on it. He'd impaled, skinned, and ripped out the insides of the cat, then snapped its neck. That was overkill, even for someone like Kid.
However, that wasn't the only time Kid went crazy, when they docked at a futuristic island three weeks ago he almost went nuts from where everyone was some how able to read each other's minds. Trinity very nearly killed half the crew. While they were on the jungle island, Kid was bitten by a bug and got sick. Trinity had to care for him, Killer remembered hearing them yelling at each other, it had made it hard for anyone to get any sleep. They're bickering continued to another four islands they'd been to in the past three weeks. The desert island was torturous since Trinity had to wear shorts and a tank top she'd torn off just above her belly button because she couldn't take the heat. Kid went crazy since any time he tried to get Trinity alone, Destiny would interrupt them. Killer was honestly surprised his captain hadn't killed her yet.
It was worse when they stayed at one island where the fog was so thick no one was able to see past their noses. Killer had heard Kid and Trinity in their room and thought maybe Kid would finally chill the fuck out, but Destiny interrupted them again and it turned into Trinity almost killing Kid for almost killing Destiny. By the time they left the last island Killer was ready to lock the two of them in a room together and make sure no one bothered them.
"I'm finished now Killer-san!"
Destiny's voice calling out to him pulled the blonde from his thoughts of the past few weeks and he saw his black-haired pupil was standing in the middle of a circle of dead bodies. He pushed off from the tree he'd been leaning against and walked closer to critique her work.
"You're cuts are still a little messy, but you've gotten better at hitting the main arteries and vital organs."
He commented as he saw a group of men with their stomachs slashed open, their throats slit, and other injuries he'd taught Destiny to aim for when fighting an enemy. Glancing from the dead men back to his student, the blonde sighed as he saw the blood that was already soaking into her clothes.
"We still have to work on not getting you covered in blood. I think my sister is starting to get suspicious about your sudden lack of clothing and I'm running out of shirts for her to make you more."
He told her and saw Destiny bow her head in shame, making him sigh again.
"Its fine, you're still learning. I know better than to expect you to be able to everything perfect the first time, that's why I'm teaching you."
Killer said, but still Destiny's eyes were locked on the ground.
"You know, Rin had some trouble with not getting blood on her clothes too when I taught her."
He mentioned, glancing away but he still saw Destiny's head shoot up out of the corner of his eye.
"Really?"
She asked and Killer smiled behind his mask. It was clear to him that Destiny idolized Trinity and looked up to her, but it wasn't like a younger kid to a stranger or even a younger sibling to their older sibling. No, the way Destiny looked at Trinity was the way a young girl would her mother. It was strange, but he'd noticed that Destiny was a lot like his sister. She learned quickly, was humble, and had a strong desire to protect those she loved.
"Mhm."
Killer hummed before glancing towards the small town on the island they'd stopped at. Thinking of his sister made Killer remember that he hadn't really had the chance to welcome her back to the crew after her six month disappearance. First she was with Kid, then they set sail, wound up distracted by fights, preparations for war against Big Mom, obstacles of Ice witches and children, fights between Kid and Trinity. With all of that, Killer hadn't had the chance to fully welcome his sister back to the crew despite her being back for a good while. That, and the fact she was the crew's musician with no musical instrument. He'd remembered seeing one in a store somewhere.
"Hey Destiny, you want to help me with something right quick?"
He asked, waiting as Destiny crouched down beside one of the now dead people who had tried to sneak onto the ship and cleaning her Sai off on his clothes.
"Like what Killer-san?"
She asked as she straightened back up and Killer simply shrugged.
"You'll see."
He said before starting to head off towards the town.
"Where the fuck are they?!"
Shouted Kid, causing Trinity to sigh and pinch the bridge of her nose as a headache began forming just behind her eyes.
"If they don't hurry I'm going to leave their stupid asses."
Kid grumbled as Trinity glared at him, her patience with him quickly dwindling.
"Shut up already! They'll get here when they fucking get her and not a second sooner. You shouting and complaining won't make any fucking difference!"
She snapped, tired of his complaining. Kid wasn't the only one getting testy from the constant interruptions between them. Any time they came close to having sex, they were always interrupted by someone. Any time they were alone, it was never for more than a few minutes and it was slowly starting to drive the young Witch insane.
"What did you just say?"
Kid questioned, anger clear in his voice and Trinity rolled her eyes.
"I didn't stutter!"
She snapped again and saw Kid move to say or do something in response to her statement when she heard Killer's voice.
"Slow down Destiny!"
Turning to look over the railing of the ship, Trinity saw Destiny running up the gangplank and running straight to her.
"Destiny, where have you and Nii-Killer been?"
She asked, ignoring the angry aura radiating from Kid in waves behind them.
"Killer-san and I had something important to get."
Destiny told her as she pulled back, making Trinity look at her in interest.
"Oh? Like what?"
She asked, but instead of Destiny, Killer was the one who answered."
"Patience sis."
The masked blonde said as he walked up onto the ship and Trinity smiled at her brother. It wasn't often he called her his sister, most of the time he just called her Rin like everyone else. Of course, he always treated her like his sister, but it was still nice to hear him say it.
"I'm running a little short on that at the moment Nii-san."
She told him honestly and earned a laugh from him before he kept walking. She saw the elongated box in his arms and wondered what he and Destiny had bought, but knew if she asked Killer would just give her a smart ass remark or tell her to wait.
"Destiny."
Killer called over his shoulder back at the black-haired girl still holding onto Trinity before disappearing inside the ship. Trinity heard Destiny sigh slightly before hugging her tightly, then running off after the blonde. She had noticed the two spending more time together and wondered what they were doing, but any time she asked, neither one of them would tell her anything.
Once they were gone, Trinity turned towards Kid, turned her nose up at him not even bothering to say anything else to him, then headed for her room.
~...~
Sighing to herself as she set the book she'd been reading down, Trinity laid back on her bed and stared up at the ceiling. She hated being cooped up while sailing, despite her love for the sea. She was about to go to sleep when there was a knock on her door.
"It's open!"
She called out and saw the door open and two people walk in.
"Destiny? Nii-Killer? What are you two doing here?"
Trinity asked as she saw her brother and Destiny walk into her room, closing the door after them. She could see her brother was carrying something, but she couldn't tell what it was.
"We have a present for you!"
Destiny shouted happily before dive-bombing the bed, then snuggling up to her side. Trinity smiled down at the black-haired girl and felt her heart warm at how attached she'd become to her. At first, Trinity had thought she'd felt a connection towards Destiny that was similar to the bond between sisters, but the more Trinity thought about it and everything she'd be willing to do to protect Destiny and keep her happy, she realized that she thought of Destiny more like a daughter than anything.
"Oh really?"
She asked before settling her light-blue gaze on her blonde-haired brother who was still carrying a long box under his arm.
"Yes, really."
Was the response he gave her and Trinity resisted the urge to roll her eyes at the tone of Killer's voice.
"Okay, in that case, what is it?"
She questioned as she sat up, Destiny sitting up with her and moving towards the foot of the bed where Killer finally set the box down.
"Close your eyes."
Killer ordered and Trinity narrowed her eyes at her brother before doing as he said and closing her eyes. She could hear Destiny giggling and shook her head before hearing Killer opening the box a few feet from her.
"Hold out your arms."
He instructed her and she did as he said, not too sure what to expect really. When she felt something cold hit her skin she flinched a bit before she recognized the familiar weight of whatever her brother had just given her and she opened her eyes to see what it looked like, only to stare at the instrument in awe.
"I thought it about time you got an instrument, what with being the crew's musician and all."
Killer said as Trinity opened her eyes and stared down at the guitar she held in her arms. It was a dark purple and had blue near the top just before the neck, that was purple like the body. It was gorgeous.
"And it's also my way of saying welcome back home."
The blonde added in a softer tone, one that only those who knew him as well as Trinity did could tell meant he was embarrassed.
"I helped pick it out!"
Destiny suddenly shouted, wanting some recognition for her help and Trinity smiled down at the black-haired girl before giving her a hug.
"Thank you; both of you."
Trinity said with a smile on her face, she hadn't thought anything of not having an instrument. The crew knew she was their musician and that's all that mattered to her. That didn't mean that she didn't like her gift though.
"Sing us a song."
Destiny spoke up again, pulling Trinity from her thoughts.
"What?"
She asked only to have Destiny start bouncing up and down on the bed beside her.
"Sing us a song, please?"
The younger girl begged, her ice-blue eyes big and pleading as they looked up at her and Trinity found she couldn't say no.
"What kind of song do you want to hear?"
She asked as she started to tune the guitar she'd been given to a key that matched with her voice.
"I don't know...Killer-san?"
Destiny asked, looking up at the blonde after she stopped bouncing.
"Anything will do, it's been a while since I heard you sing."
The blonde answered as he pulled up a chair and sat down across from the bed.
"Okay then, anything it is."
Trinity said with a small smile as she finished tuning her guitar.
Moving to sit on the edge of the bed, resting the guitar on her thigh, Trinity racked her brain for a song to sing to her audience of two. After a while, she thought of one and she started strumming out the tune. Closing her eyes as she let her fingers move along the strings, Trinity started to sing.
"I can hold my breath
I can bite my tongue
I can stay awake for days
If that's what you want
Be your number one..."
Killer watched as Trinity effortlessly slid her fingers up and down the strings of the guitar he and Destiny had given her as she sang, like it was second nature to her. He saw how Destiny was beaming as she lay on her stomach on the bed beside Trinity, her ice-blue eyes full of wonder and awe. It was enough to make the blonde smile to himself underneath his mask before closing his eyes and listening to the sound of his sister's voice as she continued to sing for them.
"I can fake a smile
I can force a laugh
I can dance and play the part
If that's what you ask
Give you all I am..."
Just like the last time he'd heard his sister sing, the sound of her voice seemed to envelope him in a raging sea of emotions, yet at the same time left him full with what felt like blissful comfort. He could almost feel the emotion in Trinity's voice as much as he could hear it. He tried to decipher it, but he couldn't seem to figure it out. He could guess what was the cause of it of course, but he wouldn't know unless he asked, and that was if Trinity chose to tell him. While he and his sister were close, there was still a gap between them that appeared when she chose to push everything deep down inside herself and not let anyone see what she was truly feeling. The blonde could sense something had been bothering his sister for a while now, ever since she'd come back from her world, she'd seemed...paranoid. He wasn't sure of what, but it seemed she was constantly looking over her shoulder, as if afraid something would come up and drag her away again. Killer wasn't sure if Kid had noticed or not, but if he had then it was obvious Kid wasn't going to address the issue, if anything, the blonde wondered if his friend was making things worse.
"I can do it
I can do it
I'll get through it
But I'm only human
And I bleed when I fall down
I'm only human
And I crash and I break down
Your words in my head
Knives in my heart
You build me up then I fall apart
'Cause I'm only human..."
If he hadn't noticed it before, then he did now the more he listened to his sister's song. She was obviously afraid of something and it wasn't just him over thinking things as most would think. He knew his sister better than that. Something, he wasn't exactly sure what, had happened in the time his sister was away from them that made her afraid. Even though Trinity looked confident and at peace at the moment as she played the guitar in her lap and sang, her voice had an underlying tone to it that told Killer she was hiding more than he or anyone else knew. He wished there was something he could do for her, but unless he knew what it was that his sister was so afraid of, he couldn't do anything.
