A Vacation

(Renesmee's POV)

I stuff the last of my stuff into a bag and take a good look around my room in the cottage. Maybe the move to the islands wouldn't be such a bad idea, it means I could get my own room.

Since the cottage is pretty small I have to share a room with my siblings. Masen and I have a bunk bed now and Lizzy has a crib. My parents decided to buy the bunk bed when we moved out of Daddy's old room. I was kind of getting tired of sharing a big bed with my siblings, but honestly I think we all needed it even though we didn't want to admit it. I really didn't want to sleep alone after Lorenzo's attacks. If I did have my own room during Lorenzo's attacks, I'd be begging Momma or Daddy to let me sleep with one of them.

It's April now and it's time for spring break. I went back to school about a month ago after finally healing from all my injuries. We told people I got into a bad car accident. Of course I ended up getting a bunch of get well cards from my friends and school mates. My friends even went to visit me one day.

I missed Nikki, Richie, Irene, and Sarah, but I know that I'd have to say goodbye to them someday. It's all part of who I am, who my family is. We can't help it, but I know they'll be happy. I know that in the future Nikki will probably end up with Richie, Irene will become famous, and Sarah will win a nobel peace prize. They were such a good group of friends.

"Renesmee!" I heard Momma call out to me as I zipped up my bag. "Are you ready? We need to head to the airport!"

Today we were going to the islands for a vacation, but more importantly to check them out for the first time. I was pretty excited since it was going to be a family trip, but I'd miss Jakey and I know my sister would miss Seth.

Jacob is somewhere in Canada right now clearing his head. I really miss him. He left without saying goodbye when Momma and Daddy told him the news. Jake wants me to be happy, but he needs some time to think. He's okay with me moving to Brazil, which makes this whole transition a lot easier, but that won't stop me from missing him.

Seth was getting ready to finish up his last two years of high school before he could head off to community college, so I think Lizzy was going to have an easier time of letting Seth go for a bit since they are both pretty young. Momma mentioned something about them both needing some time to 'grow up' since they were still kids.

I'm also still young and Jakey is too, so somehow this could be good? I don't know to be honest. I was going to miss him like crazy. He was my best friend and my protector. However, it's not like I won't ever see him again. Jake will be coming up to the islands to visit us, and we would come up to Forks for the summer.

"I'm ready!" I told my mom as I sling my backpack over my shoulder. I then rushed out of the room to see Momma stop me in the hallway.

"Woah there little nudger," she said. "Take it easy, you still need to heal."

"Momma, I'm fine," I protested. She merely smiled at me before taking my hand.

"I know, come on. Don't want to keep the airplane waiting," Momma said. I smiled as I head out to the front of the main house where Daddy was trying to strap Lizzy into her carseat and Masen was already in his. When Masen spotted me, he waved enthusiastically.

"You said goodbye to everyone?" Momma asked me. I nodded as I head towards the car.

"Yeah. The pack, Charlie, Sue, Seth, Leah...anyone else?" I questioned as I looked up at my mother.

"You're missing one person," she said with a big grin.

"Who?" I question, frowning in confusion.

"I think you forgot about me," I heard a familiar voice say. I froze in my spot before snapping around to see Jacob. He was leaning against the outside wall of the cottage with a small smile on his face.

"Jakey!" I exclaim as I run to him. He embraced me in a big warm hug so I gripped on tight to him.

"Hey there, Nessie," Jake said. I felt some tears hit my eyes as he held me.

"I missed you," I told him in a muffled response against his shoulder. "You left me."

"I know, but you know I never really left you kiddo," he said. I raise my eyebrows and look up at him questioningly. "I'll always be with you. Wherever you may go, I'll always be with you. Got it."

"Got it." I giggled as I went to hug him even tighter. "Just don't leave without another goodbye."

"I won't. I'm sorry. I just needed to clear my head, Ness. I promise we'll spend more time together when you get back and before you leave in June," Jake said as he stroked some of my hair.

"I'm not leaving forever," I pointed out to him as I pull away from his arms. This made it easier for me to look at him in the eyes. I noticed his big brown usually warm eyes looked sad.

"I know...But you need this move, Ness. Trust me, you need it. I'll visit you when I can," he told me.

"I know you will," I replied. "Plus I'll always be with you, too." Jake smiled at this and went to squish me in a tight hug.

When we pull away I go to kiss his cheek. I blush as I pull away from his cheek, and he chuckles. Jake then puts me down and I skip over to Momma.

"I'll see you girls when you come back, okay?" Jake said to Momma and I. Momma smiled and nodded.

"Yeah, Jake. Don't worry. We'll be back before you know it. We're only going for the week," Momma said to him.

"I know...See you until then," he said. Jake smiled once more before transforming into his wolf form. With a heavy heart, I watched him run into the unknown woods once again.

"He'll be back, don't worry," my dad said to me as he placed a hand on my shoulder. I smiled at him before climbing into my dad's Volvo with my family. Soon we were speeding down the highway towards Seattle.

I saw my wolf checking on me through the trees of the woods. His eyes following the form of our car before disappearing into the forest once again. A tear trickled from my eye while I let my hand rest against the window were Jacob was.

I ended up falling asleep the rest of the car trip. When I woke up we had just pulled up to the airport in Seattle. I grabbed my bag and I head inside, taking Momma's hand. I looked to see Lily was sleeping in Aunt Rosalie's arms while Aidan held tight to Uncle Emmett's hand. Masen was holding onto Grandma's hand while Daddy took a sleeping Lizzy with him.

I smiled when I see my energetic aunt pop up beside me. I reach out to grab her hand, entwining it with mine. When Aunt Alice feels my hand touch hers she smiles and goes to give it a squeeze.

Sometimes I feel bad for Aunt Alice since she doesn't have children of her own with Uncle Jasper. She does treat me and the others as her own kids, but sometimes I feel as if she and my uncle might want a child of their own to spoil. Maybe one day they'll be blessed with a child just like the rest of the family. If not, I think they'll be happy either way. Aunt Alice is way too cheery for anything to destroy her mood.

I was happy to see Aidan and Lily looking better considering the two have been on an emotional roller coaster ride for the past few weeks. The other day Aunt Rose and Uncle Emmett took them to see Gwen's grave for the first time. They had to explain to them they didn't know much about their mother, and they only knew that her name was Gwen Williams and their father was Matthew Williams. I know it hurts them to think about their birth parents, especially Gwen since they have only one memory of her holding them before she died.

Lily and Aidan will want to know more one day about where they came from, but for now they were fine just knowing they have a mother and father looking out for them as their guardian angels and a mother and father on the earth looking out for them.

"What type of plane are we going to be taking?" Masen asked as we approached one of the airport wings.

"It's a private jet," Grandpa Carlisle told him.

"Really? Like we're going to be the only ones on the plane!?" Aidan asked incredulously. I listened with interest as well. I may have been out of the country once, but I've never been on a private jet before. This seems kind of fun.

"Yes Aidan," our grandfather chuckled. Aidan and Masen looked at one another with excited looks before they both darted forward with my grandfather to go see the airplane.

"Boys," Aunt Rosalie simply said, chuckling, while we watched the two youngest boys in our family hop up and down with excitement.

We then arrive at a part of the airport were they took us right over to a white jet without waiting. I was pretty amazed by the small jet we were on. We even had our own private pilot, who seemed nice, and so was the stewardess they had.

Inside the jet there were two large black leather couches on each side, and they had a few black leather arm chairs in the front facing the large T.V. The chairs remind me of the one Grandpa Charlie's uses when he watches the baseball game.

I sit on a couch with Masen and Lily while Aidan heads over to Uncle Emmett, Grandpa, and Uncle Jasper on one of the arm chairs. Momma sits on the couch across from us with Aunt Rosalie, Aunt Alice, and Grandma. I look to see that Lizzy is up now, but she's gripping onto Daddy with wide eyes.

"What's the matter with Lizzy?" I asked my dad as she gripped to him.

"She's scared of flying," he filled in for me as be goes to sit down on one of the chairs right next to Momma on the nearby couch. She reaches out to stroke some of Lizzy's hair.

"Why the heck are you scared of flying Lizard?" Aidan asked her as he came over towards her. "You weren't scared of the bad men?"

"I read a lot of books...about planes crashing," She muttered as she clenched to Daddy crying. I go over and take a seat right on my momma's lap and reach out to hold Lizzy's hand just like when Lorenzo came for the first time. Lizzy's tears seized while Daddy hushed her as we went up in the air and she gripped for dear life. When we were finally up in the sky she was buried in Daddy's chest and slowly let go of him. I thinks she needed to feel safe and protected, plus she probably misses Seth.

I relaxed when I saw my sister fall asleep on my father's lap and he went to talking with my uncles.

For the rest of the flight I played games with my siblings and watched movies. We arrived in Brazil early in the morning, but it was dark out. We did take a nap on the plane so we were ready to go and were full of energy.

Daddy took Masen up in his arms, and Momma held Lizzy now while I held onto her hand as we all traveled out of the plane and toward the limo our family rented.

The limo was just as amazing as the plane. It had a T.V, mini bar, and a light up ceiling. We were so entertained in the T.V the whole car ride, that we didn't notice we stopped.

When we got out of the limo I noticed we were not to far from the seaport where we docked our boat at Isle Esme.

The smell of the sea water filled up in my nose and I grinned. The smell reminds me of Isle Esme. I didn't realize how much I missed being in Brazil. Even though the last time we were here we were hiding from Lorenzo, it brought back really good memories like my second birthday and when Momma found out she was pregnant with Lizzy.

We all board a boat that was pretty fancy, but big to fit us all in. It was the size of a tiny yacht. It had a below cabin were us kids hung out in while the grown ups were on the deck.

"Look! Land ahoy!" Masen exclaimed, pointing out the tiny port hole. We all gather around eagerly to see a massive island with a huge white home that was not to far from the water. There were lanterns that were light up on the pathway that lead to the house. There was another smaller, white beach house not too far from the big house had a charming appeal to it. The big one must be the main home Momma and Daddy were talking about where Grandpa and Grandma would be. The other one is probably going to be where Ethan will live, and on the top floor is where Seth and Jake will be when they come to visit.

I looked to see that dawn was now breaking right behind the black sky, indicating that the sun was about to rise at any moment.

When we docked, us kids ran off to see our new home. The others and I looked around excitedly at this huge island we could explore and play on.

"Don't worry kids, you can in the morning," Daddy said to us.

"For now let's go to our own separate islands," Aunt Rosalie added. "I'm sure some of you want to check out our new homes."

We nodded eagerly as we parted with our parents to head over to our own little dinghies so we could travel from island to island, even though they were swimming distance. I noticed Aunt Rose's island had lights gleaming from hers and there were lights coming from Aunt Alice's. Now we just had to wait to light up our new home.

I sat in the front of the dinghy with my siblings while my parents were behind it driving the boat. As we approached it I gasped in awe. Even though it was dark out I could still see the island, and it was truly breathtaking. It looked just like Isle Esme, but a tad bit bigger.

The first thing that caught my eye was a big brown home in the center of the island. The home had an island appeal to it and it looked a lot like the white home on the main island. There was a large porch in the front with white five rocking chairs. A chair for each of us.

We pulled up to a long wooden dock, and along the dock they had lanterns just like the other island that lead all the way to the front door of the house. "Come this way," Daddy told us once we were all standing on the dock. We head as a family towards the home and may I say it is grand. It looked like the home on Isle Esme a bit, but it just had ours written all over it.

Daddy went to pull a key out of his pocket to unlock the front door for us. Masen and I were the first to run inside of the home.

When you entered there was a big stair case, good for sliding down, right by the entrance. It had tile flooring in the main hall. Then one entrance that lead to a medium sized kitchen. We didn't need such a big kitchen since I was the only one in this family that consumed human food. I checked the fridge to see it was stocked with food and blood bottles.

"Hey, Daddy?" I asked as he entered with Momma behind us.

"Yes, angel?"

"I know our fridge is stocked with blood...But what happens when we run out?" I look up at him inquisitively.

"We can go to the mainland, there is a place for us to hunt nearby or we thought maybe we could take hunting trips back up in the U.S," he explained.

"Okay," I said, nodding.

We then explored into the living room, which was massive. We had a flat screen against one wall, and on another wall was a built in shelf that had all of our favorite DVD's. We even had more space for more DVDs to get. We had a corner of the living room where there was a small library filled with a bunch of new books for me, and some of Momma's favorites.

There was also a bathroom on the first floor which was ginormous. We had a guest room right off of that for Grandpa Charlie and Nana Sue if they ever come up to visit us.

"Why don't you go check out your rooms upstairs." Daddy smiled as he came up behind us with his arm wrapped around Momma's shoulder. He was the only one to see the home, so he knew what the rooms looked like already. I think Momma saw a few photos before we left, but really it was only Daddy who actually went here.

"Okay, come on Masen," I said to my brother as we run upstairs. The first room we come across was Momma and Daddy's. It was kind of like their room back home and we barley checked it out. We were too excited for ours.

The one next to their room was Lizzy's room. The room was cream colored with white molding going all around the room. She had a big mahogany wooden crib with purple and green white poka-dot bed spread. There was a big book shelf along the wall along with a big white dresser with a tiny plasma T.V.

"To the next," Masen said as we headed to the room that was his.

"Oh my gosh," he breathed as he looked around the room. It was light blue with a baseball theme. His covers and bed spread were all baseball themed and he had photos of famous baseball players and teams all around his room. He had a plasma T.V on the corner of his black dresser.

"I'm gonna go to my room," I told Masen.

"Alright, mind if I stay here?" He asked. I nod as he eagerly smiles, flopping on his bed.

I go to the last room at the end of the hall, not to far from the bathroom. It's probably there considering I'm really the only one who uses the bathroom.

I go to step in front of the two french doors that open to my bedroom. Slowly I peer my head into my bedroom and gasp in awe when I see it. It was beautiful shade of blueish-green. I had a big white bed in the middle with a big white comforter that has pink, blue, white, and green throw pillows. There was a big white dresser that looked a bit victorian, just like my bed. I had a T.V like Masen on the corner of my dresser, and in the corner of my room was a full length mirror right next to my fully stocked closet and shelf of toys. I head to the other side of the room to see I have my own new library with an arm chair and a big wolf.

I smiled as I go to sit down on my bed and admire the room. I loved it, and I kind of like it here already.

"I take it you like the room?" I whipped around to see Momma in the doorway. I nodded as she came over to sit down next to me.

"Grandma Esme picked it out, and Aunt Alice went shopping for a new wardrobe for you once she found out about the islands. I think Grandma did a good job," Momma said as she looked around the room.

"Yeah," I said. I let a yawn slip out and my eyelids drooped a little. Momma saw this and went to kiss my forehead.

"You should go to bed, you're tired," Momma said, brushing my hair.

"Kay," I muttered.

I then head over to my dresser where I picked out a new pair of pajamas that Aunt Alice got me. Just a pair of purple pajama shorts and a matching purple top. I crawl into my bed exhausted, and let my eyes close as I curl up on my new bed. I felt Momma and Daddy plant kisses on my forehead before sleep soon consumed me. I was kind of liking it here, but too bad Jakey wouldn't be here all the time.

A/N: So do you guys like the islands? Do you like the kids reactions? Yes, once again I know sucks that I am taking Jake away to anyone who misses Jake, but Im not taking him away forever. Also I admit, this chapter was a tad bit boring but next chapter will have some nice Edward and Bella moments and family moments :) Anyway in the meantime please review and be on the lookout for the next update :)
