'It's a lucky thing,' Hermione replied, trying to keep conversation light, 'that I'm almost thirty.'

His eye twitched.

'And a shame,' she continued, 'that you had to teach Hogwarts' little darlings for so long.'

He shuddered. 'I still find it incomprehensible that Albus coerced me into teaching. I hated it, and he knew it.'

Hermione didn't have an appropriate response, so they walked on in silence. After turning down a side street, they stopped at an awning with 'Côte Brasserie' emblazoned in gold lettering in the window.

'Well,' Hermione said, gesturing towards the door, 'Here we are.'
