Disclaimer: I don't own.

So I managed to write it all for my friend. It needs work before I give it to you guys, but I hope you like this.

MERRY CHRISTMAS from England!

The Wand

Once the Prince was home Mollie met with the others in the parlour, they were cold and tired but they wanted to know what happened.
"We caught them going to the Stone Table, it seemed they had taken him out of Narnia, to the wild lands of the North and then doubled back, by the time we found the trail we followed it, but they had been precise in their movements back to Narnia, following the exact trail." Susan said.
"So how did you find them?" Mollie asked, nursing a cup of tea
"By chance." Susan said "But we met Edmund and his party soon after we were on their real trail"
"Yes, and I sent you all a letter." Edmund said "As soon as we knew where they were taking him. Obviously he was fine but while I was writing them, Susan and her party had gone ahead to scout."
"Then we saw Alaia take up a knife, I ordered everyone to stay back and hoped to kill some time, keep her talking" Susan said
"It worked" Peter smiled. The family sat around a while longer discussing trivial things, but it was late and they'd had an agonising few days, so very soon they called goodnight and began to head off to bed.
"Annabel" Mollie said, the lady in question turned.
"Yes?" she asked softly.
"I'd like to speak to you alone" Mollie said. Annabel turned to Peter and kissed his cheek
"I'll be up soon" she said, Peter nodded and left.
"Annabel I want to apologise for my behaviour" Mollie said.
"As do I" Annabel said.
"No, you have no need, your son was missing, you were stressed and your nerves must've been on the verge of snapping, I know I can be annoying at times, but I don't always mean it." Mollie said.
"No" Annabel replied "You didn't have to help us and you did, for that I am grateful"
"He's my family" Mollie said "I'd help him in any way I can"
"And I am thankful for that. But Mollie he is returned alive and safe, we need not dwell on the past, only look forward to the future" Annabel said.
"I bid you goodnight" Mollie said.
"I'll walk up with you" Annabel said, rising from the sofa.
"No, I'm going to the kitchens first" Mollie said, her former apologetic look was replaced by her infamous cheeky smile.
"Then I'll see you in the morning. Sleep well" Annabel said
"You too" Mollie replied. Annabel watched as Mollie skipped in the opposite direction, she couldn't understand her brother in law's choice for a wife most of the time but she had to admit that Mollie certainly made life amusing.

Ten minutes later Mollie entered her room. Edmund was stood at the window staring out across the sky. Mollie looked at his tall imposing figure and shook her head fondly.
"I brought you a present" she said with a smile.
"Really?" he asked quirking an eyebrow questioningly.
"Yes" Mollie said
"Pray tell, what's this gift?" Edmund asked.
"Here you go" Mollie said with a grin, she opened the door and knelt before straightening and turning around. Edmund looked at the tea tray she was holding.
"Tea?" he asked
"Not ordinary tea Edmund, this is a special blend" Mollie said.
"Oh?" Edmund asked, his eyebrows raised at the seemingly ordinary looking pot of tea.
"Orange, cinnamon and valerian" Mollie said.
"That's not native" Edmund said.
"No, it's from the Terebinthian market last year, you know when those traders came over. Anyway, I thought it looked nice" Mollie said "So they asked me to have tried it before they come over this year"
"That was almost a year ago Mollie" Edmund said.
"I… er… I lost it" Mollie admitted sheepishly. Edmund rolled his eyes. "But I found them" Mollie suddenly beamed. Edmund looked at her, he shook his head but smiled fondly.
"Come on then my darling" Edmund said, he took the tray off her and placed it down on a small table. After their tea the pair retired to bed.

Edmund ventured downstairs the next morning and into the dining room. Moran and Peridan were sat talking to Peter, Susan and Mollie. Edmund stopped as soon as he looked at the table. Mollie turned around.
"Edmund?" she asked
"What's that doing here?" Edmund asked.
"It's not going to hurt you" Mollie said, she moved
"Like you'd know" Edmund replied his eyes never moving off the broken wand.
"No I wouldn't" Mollie replied.
"We're moving it into the treasure chamber" Peter said.
"No!" Edmund replied, finally looking away from the Witch's wand "Not there. Not inside the castle"
"Why?" Susan asked.
"Trust me" Edmund said "We don't want it in our home"
"Where should it go. We cant have it anywhere easily accessible" Peter said.
"What about Killimoor?" Mollie asked.
"Not defensible enough" Peter said
"Shuddering woods. The centaurs will look after it for us. They have as much to lose as anyone. After all they practically led the silent revolution until Aslan called us" Susan said. Everyone looked at her.
"Sire, the Queen speaks the truth" Moran said.
"Queen Susan is correct. The centaurs would happily hide it for us, and no one can withstand the centaurs" Peridan said "Especially concerning something as life changing as that" here the Lord pointed to the wand, eyeing it in distaste.
"Then it's settled. I want an armed guard around it. Move it out today. Leave at midday" Peter said. He picked the wand up carefully in a cloth and put it inside a box, which he then locked.
"Of course Sire" Peridan bowed. Moran stretched.
"Peridan, send in Swiftwing" Peter said.
"Sire" Peridan said, before he bowed to the other monarchs and left the room, holding the box. Moran padded out behind Peridan, his ears twitching.

The party was ready to depart at midday. Moran was running ahead to check the path, and Peridan was checking everyone was there. Mollie rushed into the stables, her hair askew but her armour neat.
"Sorry I'm late" she said, swinging up easily into Lamri's saddle. Mollie couldn't help but admire the power of the horse. She was glad Edmund had bought her this one.
"I didn't realise you were coming Your Majesty" Peridan said.
"No crown" Mollie said, then she spurred her horse on. They all trotted out into the town, Mollie leading.

Anamarie looked out the window of the castle. She could see the Brave Queen riding tall and proud out the gates of the castle and into the town below. Anamarie sneered at her from afar.

Mollie kept a close eye on the countryside as they galloped through it. Their pace was quick and as the sky began to darken they arrived at the Centaurs. They were welcomed and as Swiftwing had arrived around midday the Centaurs already knew what they carried.
"We will help" Korra said.
"You will?" Mollie asked.
"Yes. This… artefact is dangerous. The Witch would seek vengeance upon all of Narnian creatures if she every regained a place in this world" Korra said.
"Thank you" Mollie said.
"Stay and dine with us. You must not journey back in this light" Korra said.

The party spent the night with the centaurs. They were provided with supper, a piping hot stew, and a bed each. The night passed but still Mollie could not sleep. She stared at the stars, remembering lying on the grass with a certain King many years ago.
"You think deeply" Korra interrupted her. Mollie spun her sword halfway out her sheath.
"Yes" she admitted, relaxing.
"What worries you?" Korra asked.
"Many things worry me" Mollie said "My children, my husband, Narnia"
"No, your biggest worry is Alaia" Korra said.
"Yes" Mollie replied.
"Why do you fear the witch? You are more powerful" Korra said.
"I'm not powerful." Mollie said.
"Then what are you?" Korra asked.
"I'm a girl playing at being a Queen" Mollie said "For 8 years I have held the title, what have I done to prove my worth in that time?"
"What have you done?" Korra asked.
"Nothing. I've almost died. I've got in the way. I haven't helped. If it weren't for me, Alaia wouldn't be a threat" Mollie said.
"That is true" Korra said "She would have killed you long ago, and no one would have noticed"
"Exactly. Maybe I was wrong to kill her parents." Mollie said "I was young and I was pressured"
"You wish to know what Narnia would have been like today if you had not?" Korra asked.
"Aslan always says we are told no story but our own" Mollie replied.
"This would be your story" Korra said.
"Really?" Mollie asked.
"Centaurs watch the stars, we saw the world at a crossroad, centred on one decision. The first would bring us to where we are today, and the second would bring the ice and snow and destruction, and maybe the power of four children wouldn't be able to defeat it" Korra said.
"So I made the right decision?" Mollie asked.
"Only you know that" Korra said.
"Thank you Korra" Mollie said "I think I will retire now"
"Good night, Your Majesty" Korra said.

Mollie woke in the morning refreshed. Although her talk with Korra had left her much to think about the Queen had been tired and the talking had helped her to relive her mind. The party was already up and milling around. Peridan was holding Lamri's reins.
"Ah Your Majesty" Peridan said "We've just been missing you"
"You should have woken me" Mollie said.
"We haven't been waiting long" Peridan said "Would you like breakfast Your Majesty?"
"No, it's unfair to keep you waiting even more" Mollie said "Swiftwing"
"Yes Ma'am?" Swiftwing said.
"Can you take a note to the Cair for me?" Mollie asked.
"Of course Ma'am" Swiftwing said. Mollie folded herself onto the floor and took the quill, ink and paper that Peridan offered her. After a few minutes she rose and sealed the paper.
"Thank you" Mollie said. Swiftwing took the letter, with a bow and took flight. Mollie watched the Eagle soar upwards.
"We must go Ma'am if we are to return to Cair before noon" Peridan said.
"Of course. Lead on" Mollie said. She mounted Lamri and they set off.

Mollie smiled as they rode through the great gleaming gates of Cair Paravel. Callie was stood on the steps as Mollie rode up. As soon as she had stopped Lamri, Callie was off the steps. Mollie slipped off the stallion and knelt down. She caught the running child easily.
"Now Cals you must not run around when horses are in the courtyard" Mollie said.
"But Mama!" Callie said.
"Callie I don't want you hurt, my darling" Mollie said.
"Yes Mama" Callie said.
"Come on Cals" Mollie said. She lifted her up. "Ooh you're getting a big girl now"
"Yes Mama" Callie said. "I'll be like you"
"No Cals" Mollie said, Callie looked down "You'll be better"
"No one is better than you" Callie said.
"Oh darling, you'll be a far greater Queen than I ever shall" Mollie said.
"I won't be a Queen" Callie said. "Kye will be"
"Who told you that?" Mollie asked.
"My professor" Callie said "He said that I would never be a Queen. Eddie and Alyanna and Alaina and Kye will rule"
"My darling he does not know who will rule. The only one who knows that is Aslan" Mollie said.
"Does he really?" Callie asked as Mollie carried her inside.
"Aslan knows everything Cals. Just like Father Christmas" Mollie said.
"Really?" Callie asked.
"Yes my darling" Mollie said. They arrived at the throne room and Peridan who was exiting the room held the door open for her with a bow.
"Thank you Peridan" Mollie smiled.
"Thank you Peridan!" Callie beamed and waved her chubby hand.
"You're more than welcome Princess" Peridan replied. Mollie smiled and carried Callie into the room.
"Who missed me?" she asked cheerfully to the almost empty room. Several guards turned around from their posts but relaxed when they realised it was only Mollie. The five monarchs smiled at her, they had grown used to her antics now.
"I hadn't realised you'd be out all night" Edmund said, holding the note she had sent them.
"I am sorry. The centaurs persuaded us to stay for supper" Mollie laughed "I suppose you didn't miss me"
"Of course not my darling. Kye, Cal and I had such a wonderful time without you" Edmund said.
"Oh you two" Lucy said.
"What?" Mollie asked innocently.
"Mollie you've already caught him, no need for flirting" Susan said airily.
"I'm not" Mollie protested
"What's that then?" Susan asked.
"I'm talking to my husband" Mollie said "I think I can talk to him how I like"
"In private Mollie, not in front of his family and several guards" Susan said.
"Susan give her a rest" Lucy said.
"All right, but Mollie, not in company" Susan said.
"Of course my Queen" Mollie bowed, letting Callie slip out of her arms and onto the floor, where she pottered over to Edmund and held her arms up.
"Daddy!" she beamed.
"Sweetheart you saw me only an hour ago" Edmund replied but picked her up.
"Love you Daddy" Callie said cheerfully, hugging him.
"I love you too my sweetheart." Edmund said.

So the year passed. The wand was forgotten, lying deep in Shuddering Woods. The monarchs had found new problems to worry over. News of Alaia's gatherings was brought to the attention of the monarchs and it seemed that every planned mission was a waste. The witch's forces seemed to know exactly when Narnian forces were approaching them, and immediately moved. The idea of a traitor was now fixed in everyone's heads and suspicions were aroused by even the smallest activity.

Okay, so I know it's Christmas Day, and this is a bit of a dampener over it. But hey! New chapter!
