"There is nothing I would like more than to leave you both here right now," Jen was saying to the two village people that had come complaining that the local fountain water was not as sweet as it used to be. "But if you're adamant that there is something we can do about your tastebuds becoming outdated, then we will do that as soon as possible, okay?" The two village people, both middleaged angry looking women, nodded and left without a thank you or even asking for a receipt. Jen groaned to herself and buried her head in her hands in frustration. Suddenly, Christie skidded in, her cloak already off and letting her hair hang loose as she speedily walked to the other side of the room. "Well thank you, Princess, for showing your face," Jen snapped moodily, sprawling herself out on the throne, her legs everywhere and her arms dangling down the side.

"Yeah sorry about that, we went down to Midgard," Christie explained quickly, rushing over to the wardrobe and taking back off the tight white catsuit that she had on and replacing it with the long straight white dress which felt a lot more comfortable to wear. Jen's mouth opened wide in shock.

"Well you can't just spring that on me like it's NORMAL!" she yelped, sounding quite hurt. "And thanks for the invite by the way." Christie sighed heavily and shook her head.

"Well why would you want to go? We didn't go and see any of S.H.I.E.L.D, we just went to pick up Jane and then we came straight back," she assured her.

"Who's Jane?" Jen blinked, now seriously confused.

"Thor's girl," Christie answered. Jen nodded slowly, avoiding Christie's eyes. Christie turned to her, noticing the silence.

"Don't even tell me," she groaned quietly. "Don't."

"What?"

"You like Thor don't you," Christie whispered. Jen looked like she was going to deny it, but just ended up nodding.

"Yeah well you can't blame me," she began.

"No but I can tell you that you've got Sif there before you," Christie nodded wisely as she finally fixed that moonlight white hair. "What is it with you and men that have dangerous assassinating women after them?"

"HA," Jen burst out into laughter. "You're rude. So remind me, why does Thor have his ladyfriend up here? If she's here to work in the kitchens, you can literally forget it."

"Now who's rude? No she's got something inside of her that isn't from Earth so I'm guessing they're going to do an exorcism or something to get it out of her." Christie checked herself in the mirror and then began to leave. Jen got up automatically, stepping down the few marble steps so that she was on the same level as Christie, then running after her to see where she was going now.

"You're really going to leave me here?" Jen called after her, her dark chesnut hair catching in the wind.

"Come with me then!" Christie shouted back, leaving the palace and going out into the courtyard. The weather wasn't so bad again but it was definitely night time. Jen didn't really like it, but caught up with her anyway. Christie slowly walked across the crunchy gravel, until she got to a metal barred door. She coughed twice and Danforf opened the door for her, peeking his head through and opening it properly when he saw that it was them.

"Come in, quickly!" he whispered urgently, waving them in with his knobbly hands. Christie pulled Jen in and Danforf shut the door behind them. It was pretty much pitch black inside, Jen put her hand out to run her fingers against the wall and felt that it was wet, stone and cold.

"I'm sorry, I must be missing something," Jen broke the silence, as Danforf struck a large match against the wall, creating a small flame which he dropped on top of something in front of them, which ended up being a large cauldron-type pot on wheels.

"Follow me," Danforf croaked, pushing the cauldron which lit the hallways as they walked through them.

"Does anyone want to explain to me what's going on?" Jen repeated, now sounding a little anxious.

"Just shut up for a second, Jen," Christie whispered angrily.

Loki sat in his cell as usual, very bored and quite tired. He didn't want to sleep because in his mind, gods didn't sleep, did they? He lay down on his bed, staring up at the ceiling of his room, thinking about life. He himself, of course, had not forgotten Christie. In fact, every night before he finally passed out from exhaustion, he attempted to connect with her but he couldn't get past the barrier. It was driving him insane, knowing that he was so close by yet he couldn't get her. All he wanted was to see her again, perhaps that could take away the pain. Suddenly Loki heard the door next to his cell open, which it never ever did. He swung his legs off the bed and went to the large glass window closest to the door, and his heart literally dropped when he saw it was just Danforf, hobbling through with the large cauldron flames that he carried around with him everywhere. "Danforf, that's a disappointment," Loki said bitterly, folding his arms, not bearing to show on his face how disappointed he actually was.

"Why is that a disappointment?" Danforf asked, looking slightly hurt.

"Because no one ever uses that back door," Loki pointed out, pacing up and down the cell now.

"Sorry, Prince Loki," Danforf shrugged, whistling a tune to himself as he prepared to walk away.

"You couldn't even bring Wizzfire with you?" Loki said quietly. He got so lonely most of the time, since his mother could only visit him when she got away from Odin.

"Aye, the young buck is doing well," Danforf called behind him. Christie and Jen were listening in to this conversation.

"Wait, that's Loki's voice," Jen hissed suddenly, her eyes going wide in recognition. "Loki…you…I…oh HELL NO! You did NOT just drag me to this man's cell!"

"Jen can you shut up, you were following me weren't you? I'm trying to hear this!" Christie said to the darkness.

"Wait, Danforf," Loki said quickly, before Danforf left. "H-how is Annerledes?" Christie felt her heart shudder and rattle against her rib cage.

"She's doing mighty fine," Danforf assured him, coming closer to his cell now. "Why, are you worried?"

"Slightly, I haven't been able to get through to her for a long time now," Loki muttered, more to himself than anyone else. Danforf raised his bushy grey eyebrows in shock.

"You've been trying all this time?" he frowned, looking at Loki's green eyes to determine whether he was telling the truth.

"Well, yes. Look, if you see her, tell her to release her mind for me? She'll know what I…" Suddenly, Loki collapsed, hard on the floor, of exhaustion again.

Christie gasped and ran out of her hiding place, squinting at the brightness of the cells compared to the hallways. Jen walked out after her, at a normal pace, looking quite calm and rather bored. She took a look at the fainted Loki and just rolled her eyes.

"Alright well we've missed our chance yet and I'm pretty sure it's time to serve dinner," she yawned, linking arms with old Danforf so they could leave. Christie, however, stayed frozen in her spot, staring at Loki in shock and almost admiration. How, on earth, on Asgard, did he stay so attractive through everything that had happened? He looked even better than he did before. Christie wanted to cry, her heart was all over the place and she felt a large siren go off in her head as Loki's eyes slowly flickered open, something was telling her to leave, NOW.
