FLORAL

Ty Lee sat weaving a crown of flowers with her small, tan fingers as the princess watched. They lingered in the palace courtyard after school, their usual routine.

"What are you even doing?" asked Azula. "Making hideous necklaces is beneath even you."

"It isn't a necklace," said Ty Lee, holding up her work to the sunlight in order to examine it. "It's a crown." She sat up on her knees and tentatively set it on Azula's head. Ty Lee beamed brightly, proud of herself. "It looks perfect on you."

"It looks ridiculous," said Azula coldly, but her blushing cheeks belied her frigid tone.

Ty Lee just smiled.

Azula looked away to conceal her shame.

Both girls could not help but secretly think that they would be a very good Fire Lord and Fire Lady one day.
