What? 5 one-shot updates in one day?! Call, you must be crazy! (Maybe... or I just have wayyy too much time on my hands. Your ideas are so funny and so much fun to write, even the dark ones. Thank you all for the billionth time for being so gorgeous and amazing!)

From Guest (Guest): "Hey! I love these storys! I was wondering if you would make one for just before the pines get to gravity falls. Like their reactions to their parents telling them they are going to be staying with Stan. Thx!"

Oh, yes! Definitely! I've always wondered about this, actually. I wonder if we will actually see the parents in Season 2 through flashbacks or whatever...

Sunshine and Outdoors

"Please tell me you're kidding."

Mrs. Pines frowned at her son's horrified expression. "We're not joking, Dipper. Your father and I have talked over this and we think that visiting your great-uncle will be good for the two of you."

"We don't even know who he is, though!" the boy cried, flailing his arms before crossing them over his chest. "He could be some sort of hermit or serial killer! Why haven't we heard of him before, huh?"

"Dipper, don't be so dramatic."

"I've never heard of Gravity Falls before," Mabel mused, stopping Dipper from making a snide remark. "Where is it? Canada?"

Their father rubbed his temples, already looking tired of the topic. "It's in Oregon. It's a fairly long bus ride, so be sure to go to the bathroom and pack snacks for the way there."

"What are we even supposed to do there?" Dipper was still ranting on his clear opposition to the subject. "Bond with this guy?"

"There is plenty of stuff to do outdoors. Maybe make some friends while you're at it," Mr. Pines said.

The boy's face turned slightly pink at the mentioning of making friends. "Yeah, that's not happening."

Mabel shrugged. "Maybe people aren't so bad there, Dip. Ooh! What if our grunkle is a secret millionaire and we'll be living in his mansion?"

Dipper couldn't stop himself from rolling his eyes at this. "Mabel, if we haven't heard of this place, I'm pretty sure it's a small town. There probably won't be any mansions there... Wait, what's a grunkle?"

"Our great-uncle! The title was too long so I shortened it! But darn, I would have loved having a butler for the summer..."

"The point is," Mrs. Pines cut in with a stern look, "you will be leaving in a week, which leaves you plenty of time to pack. It may be cold up there because it isn't as warm in Oregon, so maybe pack a few sweaters and jackets. Please be good for your great-uncle; he hasn't seen you before so when we asked him to watch you for the summer, he was a little surprised. He may need help with knowing what you like to eat, what you like to do... that sort of thing."

"Ooh! I'll pack all of my sweaters and yarn!" Mabel perked up and raced upstairs to get started with her packing. Her brother glowered at his parents, not budging on the subject still.

"Why can't we just stay here like we have every other summer? If he was that surprised and hasn't met us, I'm sure he wouldn't mind if we didn't show up."

His mother shot him a dirty look. "Dipper! Your great-uncle Stanford is being very gracious to let you both stay. I'm sure you'll have a great time there, and I expect you both to write lots of letters to us."

"But Mom - !"

"No buts, Dipper," his father said, a warning tone in his voice.

The preteen glared for a few more moments before groaning and storming upstairs. It wasn't fair! They were probably going to do nothing all summer long, and then his parents would see that there was nothing interesting at all in Gravity Falls.

Huh...It's funny how wrong you are, Dippingsauce.
