Chapter 52:

Quinn moaned as she started to wake up, Rachel had moved herself to hover over her girlfriend, and was slowly waking her up by placing open mouth kisses around her neck; the brunette stopping every now and again to suck on different areas.

"Lucy…" Rachel trailed off near her girlfriend's ear and then continued what she was doing.

"Mmmmm… I miss you calling me that all the time," Quinn expressed as she slowly opened her eyes and moved her hands to either side Rachel's face and pulled her girlfriend up to her, smacking their lips together straight away.

The blonde moved her body so she was on top of her girlfriend, the blonde then moving down Rachel's neck to suck, lick and kiss the areas she knows will make her girlfriend crazy.

The brunette moaning out in pleasure. "Do… Do you…know what… What today is?" Rachel expressed as she enjoyed what her girlfriend was doing.

Quinn moved her hand underneath the brunette's top and trailed patterns on the skin until she reach one of her girlfriend's breast. The blonde moved her head to her girlfriend's ear, "It's Tuesday…" the blonde stated seriously.

Rachel groaned in a good way as she let her girlfriend's hand travel over her breast. "Yes… But… Do you know what day this is?"

The blonde moved her head to her girlfriends, "What day is it?"

The brunette looked at her girlfriend trying to gage if she was joking around but the softball captain looked like she didn't know. Rachel frowned and moved her hand under her top to pull her girlfriend's hand off her breast. Quinn looking down surprised that her girlfriend removed her hand, "What?" the blonde whispered out.

"Nothing…" Rachel trailed off. "I… We should get ready for school," the brunette stated as she slipped out of bed and walked to the en-suite bathroom, closing the door when she got inside.

Quinn laid on the bed and shook her head… She's definitely screwed up. The blonde then slipped out of the bed and walked downstairs; about to make her way into the kitchen to make herself and Rachel some breakfast and coffee, maybe she'd be in the good books again. But before she entered the kitchen the doorbell rang, Quinn turned to head down the hallway to answer the door. Swinging it opened and spotting Santana on the other side, two Lima Bean coffee cups in hand, "Please tell me that's for me," Quinn stated as she went to reach for one but Santana pulled back.

"Nope," the Latina smirked.

The softball captain just raised an eyebrow, Santana chuckling when she saw it, ignoring the blonde and walking inside. "You don't look good, Q… What did you do?" Santana stated as her and Quinn walked into the kitchen.

Quinn walked over to the coffee machine and turned it on, then turning back to the Latina, "I lied to Rach," the blonde stated as she rubbed her face.

Santana's eyebrows raised, "Do tell," she stated with a chuckle and then sipped on her coffee.

"Todays date is the first day I had at McKinley… Meaning the first time I saw Rachel in the choir room. Rachel asked me this morning if I knew what today was and I lied… Pretended that I didn't know," Quinn voiced as she turned around and grabbed two coffee mugs out of the cupboard.

Santana laughed, "You're an idiot sometimes… You know that, right?"

"I am not… There was a reason why I did that," Quinn stated as she poured out the coffee into two mugs.

"What are you doin?" Santana wondered.

"I'm taking her out tonight," Quinn stated as she turned around, holding onto her coffee and taking a sip.

The Latina just shook her head, "Tell her you know, Q… Otherwise she's going to be even more annoying at school than she usually is."

The blonde laughed as she nodded, "Why can't I surprise her?"

Santana shook her head, "We're talking about Rach here. When she clues in on something she won't give up until she knows… Please save us all the trouble we'll be faced with today and tell her."

Quinn smiled and took another sip of her coffee. The best friends were then interrupted by Paige walking down the stairs and entering the kitchen, "Hey," the young blonde stated with a smile.

Santana turned around and handed over the other coffee to the young blonde. Quinn went wide-eyed as she watched the exchange, "Bull shit!" the softball captain stated.

After Paige said her thanks the two turned to Quinn, the older blonde stared at her sister, "Since when do you drink coffee?" Then turning to Santana, "And since when do you buy my sister coffee and not consider me?"

Santana laughed, "Since when you don't actually need to get up this early for Cheerios practice, and I told Mrs. M that I'd take Paige to school today."

Paige nodded and shrugged, "And I've just recently started," the younger blonde stated.

Quinn just shook her head; turning to grab her girlfriend's coffee, "Well enjoy your coffees… And I'll see you two at school… At the reasonable hour people should show up," the older blonde laughed, walking past the two.

"Tell Rach… Or I seriously will," Santana yelled out to the blonde as Quinn walked upstairs to her room.

The blonde knocked on her bedroom door, "Baby… Can I come in?" Quinn voiced.

Rachel opened the door and then turned to the closet searching for an outfit to wear today, not bothering to greet her girlfriend. The brunette had her towel wrapped around her body as she looked through her clothes in the closet. Quinn closed her bedroom door with her foot and then turned to her girlfriend, "Rach?" the blonde voiced softly.

The brunette turned from the closet, Quinn walked up and handed her the coffee. "Thanks," Rachel whispered out and then turned back to the closet, mug of coffee in her hand.

"I know what today is," Quinn expressed.

Rachel moved away from the closet as a small smile started to grace her face, "You do?"

The blonde moved closer to her girlfriend and nodded, "Of course I do… I just wanted to surprise you with taking you somewhere tonight."

"I thought you forgot because you've been really busy with softball practice with Anne…" Rachel said as she stepped into her girlfriend's personal space, then realized everything her girlfriend said to her, "You're… You're taking me somewhere tonight?"

Quinn smiled, "You're not busy are you?"

The brunette gave out a little giggle as she shook her head; "I basically get to only see you during the week days because you're busy up at Columbus every weekend… So of course I'm not busy."

The blonde leaned down and placed a kiss on her girlfriend's lips, as they separated Quinn smiled, "I thought that was going to be the answer."

"So where are you taking me?" Rachel wondered.

The softball captain just playfully smirked at her girlfriend and raised one of her eyebrows. Rachel started to pout; Quinn saw it and started to laugh, the blonde leaning down to place an innocent kiss on her girlfriend's cheek. As she moved back the blonde looked at her girlfriend, "Your coffee's getting cold… And I'm about to go have a shower," Quinn stated as she slipped past her girlfriend and walked into her en-suite.

Rachel watched the blonde close the bathroom door and then giggled as she turned to the closet and sipped on her coffee as she looked for something to wear.

"You wanted to see me, Mr. Schue?" Quinn stated as she knocked on her Spanish/Glee teachers office.

The teacher looked up and smiled at his student, "Quinn, take a seat."

The softball captain sat down opposite her teacher, not knowing what he called her in for. Mr. Schue grabbed a couple pieces of paper stapled together and handed it over to the blonde, "I wanted to talk to you about your last Spanish quiz we had."

Quinn took the paper and looked at it, seeing a B minus, then looking back up to Mr. Schue. "I took the initiative to look at your results for your other subjects to see how you were doing, because I remember last school year when we were both talking to Mr. Figgins and your parents were there, your mother expressed that back at home before you injured yourself you were on the list of students to get valedictorian…" Mr. Schue trailed off, receiving a head nod from the blonde.

"I didn't see any reason to talk to you about it before but you're receiving A's and A plus's for your other subjects… I'm wondering if you're doing okay in Spanish?" the teacher expressed.

"Ummm…" the blonde trailed off. "I'm not really enjoying it," Quinn stated, not wanting to upset her teacher, but he went out of his way to talk to her so she thought she'd at least be honest… Well if she was completely honest she'd have expressed she hated Spanish with a passion.

Mr. Schue nodded, "So why did you choose it this year?" the teacher asked calmly.

The softball captain just shrugged, "I guess because majority of my friends are in the class."

The teacher again nodded, "Well if you're interested in becoming valedictorian you either have to drop the class or maybe find a tutor, because it's pulling your GPA down," Mr. Schue softly voiced.

Quinn nodded in understanding. The teacher gave her a smile and was just about to dismiss her when Finn knocked on the door. "Finn," Mr. Schue beamed as he stood up, Quinn turned around and saw the tall boy start to walk into the office, the blonde standing up and looking at Mr. Schue, "Thanks," the blonde expressed as she started to leave.

"You don't need to leave, Quinn," Finn voiced, "I… I will only be a minute," the boy added.

Quinn shook her head, "I was just about to leave anyways," the softball captain expressed.

Finn looked between the two other people in the room and started to smile, "I just wanted to ask if I could rejoin Glee?"

Mr. Schue clapped his hands together and walked around his desk to shake the boys hand, "That's fantastic news, Finn. Of course you can," the teacher beamed.

Quinn smiled and nodded at the tall boy. "What made you change your mind?" the Glee teacher wondered as he stepped back. Finn turned to Quinn, who just shook her head, the boy nodded and turned to his teacher, "Someone spoke to me about being a good team player."

Mr. Schue beamed as Quinn walked over to Finn and gave him a light pat on his shoulder and then slipped out of her teacher's office.

Quinn just finished her run around the athletic track, Brittany had Cheerios practice so the softball player was unaccompanied on her run, as she made her way to the female sport locker room to get cleaned up and changed. Midway through changing out of her exercise clothes the blonde heard her phone buzz in her bag. Quinn pulled it out and read the text message from her girlfriend.

Meet me in the choir room in 5 minutes – R*

The softball player smiled and slipped her phone back into her bag, there was no Glee practice on today as there was a teachers meeting, so the blonde had no idea why Rachel wanted her to come to the choir room.

After the blonde was ready she made her way to her locker in the hallways and grabbed her books she needed for homework, though she didn't think she'd be completing any of it tonight seeing as she has plans with her girlfriend. Once she retrieved her things she walked over to the choir room, hearing the sound of the piano as she walked up to the door, and smiled when she saw her girlfriend sitting down and about to sing.

The slightest words you said
Have all gone to my head
I hear angels sing in your voice
When you pull me close
Feelings I've never known
They mean everything
And leave me no choice

Light on my heart, light on my feet
Light in your eyes I can't even speak
Do you even know how you make me weak

I'm a lightweight
Better be careful what you say
With every word I'm blown away
You're in control of my heart
I'm a lightweight
Easy to fall, easy to break
With every move my whole world shakes
Keep me from falling apart

Rachel looked up and connected with her girlfriend's hazel eyes, the brunette smiling. Quinn smiled as she slipped into the choir room and walked over to the piano, leaning her elbows on it as she watched Rachel continue to play and sing.

Make a promise, please
You'll always be in reach
Just in case I need
You there when I call
This is all so new
Seems too good to be true
Could this really be
A safe place to fall

The brunette looked back up at her girlfriend, the brunette had tears in her eyes as she continued to play and sing.

Light on my heart, light on my feet
Light in your eyes I can't even speak
Do you even know how you make me weak, oh whoa?

I'm a lightweight
Better be careful what you say
With every word I'm blown away
You're in control of my heart
I'm a lightweight
Easy to fall, easy to break
With every move my whole world shakes
Keep me from falling apart
Keep me from falling down

Drowned in your love
It's almost all too much
Handle with care
Say you'll be there

Quinn knew why her girlfriend called her into the choir room and started to serenade her. Rachel had a thing for metaphors, Quinn knew that, and the first time they met each other was in this room just after Rachel sung. So the blonde smiled as she leaned against the piano and watched her girlfriend play and sing to her.

Oh, I'm a lightweight
Better be careful what you say
With every word I'm blown away
You're in control of my heart
I'm a lightweight
Easy to fall, easy to break
With every move my whole world shakes
Keep me from falling apart
Keep me from falling apart
Keep me from falling apart, oh
Falling apart

As Rachel finished the brunette wiped away the tears that had escaped, Quinn dropped her bag and walked around to the other side of the piano, where her girlfriend was sitting. Rachel looked up and smiled at the blonde who continued to walk over, "That was beautiful," Quinn expressed as she leaned down, placing her hands on either side of her girlfriends face and kissing the brunette on the lips.

Once the couple separated the blonde sat down on the piano bench, next to her girlfriend, "Should I introduce myself?" the blonde smiled.

Rachel giggled as she moved her body closer to her girlfriends, Quinn wrapping her arm around the brunettes shoulders for them to snuggle in closer together.

"You know I was flirting with you when we met?" Quinn expressed.

Rachel lifted her head off her girlfriends shoulder, "Really?"

"Yeah… A little bit… I just thought you were pretty," the blonde disclosed.

The brunette beamed and leaned up and placed a kiss on her girlfriend's cheek. "I didn't know that," Rachel voiced.

Quinn chuckled and nodded, "Yeah I had a feeling you didn't."

"Well it's not like anyone took the time to flirt with me before you came, baby," Rachel smiled.

The softball captain just shrugged, "It was their loss."

The brunette beamed as she leant back on her girlfriends shoulder. The couple satisfied to just snuggle up together in silence, both remembering the first time they saw each other. Unbeknown to the two girls was that a certain blonde was looking at them through the choir room door that had Quinn and Rachel's back to it… Allison shook her head as she turned and left.

Later that night Quinn drove Rachel outside of Lima for their date, the brunette looking over at her girlfriend as she continued to drive, "Have we been there before?" Rachel asked. This wasn't the first question the brunette has asked her girlfriend to try and gauge where they were going.

Quinn turned and chuckled, shaking her head and looking back at the road, the sun starting to set. Rachel pouted, "I've asked you a variety of questions and that's the same answer I've been getting for each one."

The softball captain smirked as she reached her hand over and embraced it with her girlfriends, not taking her eyes off the road, "Okay… Yes we've been there before."

Rachel gave out a small squeal of excitement and then focused on the road to try and come up with some ideas of where her girlfriend was taking them. The brunette looked around for similarities in the road to see if she recognizes anything, but nothing came to mind. Rachel was just about to ask her girlfriend some new questions when the blonde turned down a road that Rachel found familiar.

"The drive-in?" the brunette asked.

Quinn just smiled and focused on driving down the road, the blonde then turning into the drive-in entrance, but not stopping at the booth to pay for their tickets, the boom-gate was already up for them to drive straight into the parking lot to find a place to park.

No other cars were around so Quinn was able to park in the perfect spot, the blonde then pressing a button in her car for the roof to slowly open up. The softball captain then turned to her girlfriend and smiled, "So I was thinking of bringing you here for our one year anniversary but seeing as you've decided to take control of that I thought to take you here tonight."

Rachel beamed and leant over to give her girlfriend a kiss. As they separated the brunette looked into hazel eyes, "What are we watching?"

Quinn smiled, "That's the big surprise… I may have organized a special film to be shown tonight… For just two people."

"Just two people?" Rachel asked curiously.

The blonde smiled and nodded, "Yes, just for us… Oh and I guess the people who run this place."

The brunette's eyes went a little wide, "We're the only ones here tonight?"

Quinn nodded as she opened up her door to hop out of her car going to the trunk of her car and opening it up, pulling a bunch of pillows and blankets out. "As much as I love my car it's really not appropriate to snuggle up together and watch a movie… So I may have gone a little overboard on blankets and pillows… But I didn't want the ground to be hard…" the softball captain trailed off as she started to get to work on arranging the blankets and pillows on the ground just next to her car.

Rachel hopped out of the car and smiled as she watched her girlfriend. When the blonde was finished Quinn went to walk back to the boot of her car but the brunette grabbed onto her wrist and stopped her. The softball captain looked at her girlfriend, "You know you're the most romantic person I know…" Rachel trailed off with a beautiful smile.

The blonde turned and wrapped her arms around her girlfriends waist, "I never was until I met you."

"It's not just the big things you do for me… I love the little things… The chivalrous things… You holding my bags… My books… You opening the car door for me… You holding my hand through the hallways and kissing me on the cheek when we say goodbye because we have different classes… You paying for dinner when we're out on dates…" Rachel took a breath as a smile grew, "But what makes everything that little bit more special… Is the fact that no one knows how romantic you really are, besides me," Rachel shook her head overwhelmed with love from her girlfriend, "I'm so lucky to have found you."

Quinn smiled and leaned down to place a chaste kiss on her girlfriend's lips, "You know I'm not the only chivalrous person in this relationship."

Rachel beamed and nodded, "I know… But… But I just feel so lucky."

"You have no idea how thankful I am for forgetting my books in my locker the day we met," Quinn expressed truthfully.

"You think if you didn't forget your books we wouldn't have found each other?" Rachel wondered as she wrapped her arms around her girlfriend's neck.

The softball captain shook her head, "I think fate would have always brought us together."

The brunette smiled as she leaned up to place her lips on her girlfriend's, deepening it straight away. As the two stood there and soaked up the feelings going through them the start of the film came on. When the sound hit Rachel's ears she went wide eyed and pulled out of the lip-lock she had with her girlfriend, turning her head to the big screen. "Oh… My… How?!" Rachel voiced as she whipped her head back to her girlfriend.

Quinn smiled and shrugged, "It took me a long time to find it and set this up… But I knew you'd love it." Rachel beamed and started to nod, leaning over and placing a peck on her girlfriend's cheek, "I love you," Rachel stated seriously and then her head turned to the screen, releasing her hold from around her girlfriend's neck.

The softball captain smiled as she moved her hands away from her girlfriends waist, "Go get comfy… I have a basket full of food in the boot of my car… I'll go get it and then join you," Quinn said as she moved her hand to the back of her girlfriend's lower back and guided her to the pillows and blankets, Rachel not taking her eyes off the screen until the brunette felt her girlfriend's hand slip away from her back.

Rachel turned quickly and grabbed onto her girlfriend's wrist, turning the blonde back around and then engulfing her in a hug, "Thank you!" Rachel expressed in the hug.

Quinn smiled as she pulled back, placing an innocent kiss on her girlfriend's lips as she did, "Funny Girl awaits, love," Quinn stated as she pointed to the screen. Rachel beamed and nodded as she moved and sat down and got comfortable, Quinn slipped away to grab the basket from the car truck and then joined her girlfriend; Rachel immediately snuggling up to the blonde.
