"Cas, what are you doing here?" Dean asks him.
"I was gonna ask you the same thing." Cas looks back at Zeke. "Oh, Zeke, this is Lisa and Dean. Guys, this is Zeke."
"Holy crap," Dean smiles. "You're Zeke! Cas, why didn't you tell that we were gonna meet him now?"
He shrugs his shoulders. "I didn't even know that you guys were coming. Uh…hang on. Dean, I need to speak to you now." Cas yanks his best friend by the arm towards the front leaving their friends. "What in fresh hell are you doing here?"
"I just wanna meet the guy," he says. "Although I'm officially bisexual, he's kinda hot."
"You think he's hot?" Cas responds. "Um…thank you, Dean."
"How come you didn't want me to meet Zeke today?" He asks Cas.
"I wanted you to meet him tomorrow. I was ask him a very important question tonight."
"He's Jewish," Dean guessed.
"What? No, he's not Jewish. I was gonna ask him if he wanted to be my boyfriend."
"You were gonna ask him? Cas, man, how was I supposed to know? Did you not want me and Zeke to know each other because of us?"
It suddenly hit Cas just like that. "No, no, not that. I completely forgot about us. I'm already falling out of love with you."
"You are?" Dean nearly looses his breath.
Cas notices the tone in Dean's voice. "Are you upset, Dean? Are you jealous because of me and Zeke together?"
"What? No, why would you think that? I'm happy that you found someone."
"Look, Dean, it's fine if you're jealous. I was really jealous about you and Lisa. I'm not jealous anymore, but you know what I mean."
"No, no, it's fine. I just wanna meet him. Plus, how do you know that he's boyfriend material if he doesn't get along with your friends?"
Dean's words made Cas realize something. It doesn't bother him that much that Dean wanted to meet Zeke so badly. "Okay, I give up. I just want him to get along with my best friends. I have the biggest feeling in the world that he'll love you."
"Let's getter done." Dean playfully punches his shoulder. Both of them walked back to their table sat down between Lisa and Zeke. "So what's happening?" He asks his friends.
"Well, Dean, it turns out that we all have a lot in common with Zeke," Sam explains to his brother.
"Really?" Dean raises his eyebrow.
"Yeah, Zeke loves art like I do," Lisa tells him. "Also, he loves Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, hockey, baseball, and motorcycles."
Dean turns to Zeke. "Motorcycles? Wait, is that yours out there?" He asked me.
"Yeah, it was my older brother's bike. He gave it to me right after my niece, Destiny was born."
"That's funny. Our uncle had a motorcycle, and Sam and I tried driving it. Then, Sam hurt his leg."
Zeke looks at the younger Winchester. "How the hell did you do that?" He asked him.
"Well this was more like a funny story because the bike tipped over and fell on my leg." Sam tells them. All of them burst out laughing while Sam blushes in embarrassment.
"Hey, we're all couples here," Charlie interrupted. "We have things in common. Like nicknames. Gilda always calls me Red."
"Because it's adorable," Gilda coos to her girlfriend. "Plus, Charlie always refers to me as Lady Lover. It's better than having my grandpa call me Silly Gilly."
The rest of the group laughed. "I just call Sam 'Sammy," said Jessica. "It's better than calling him Stretch and Bigfoot."
"Dean and I just refer to each other as Babe," Lisa informs them.
"I just call Cas 'Blue Eyes,'" said Zeke. "You know because his eyes are very blue."
"Awe, that's so adorable," Jessica commented.
"See? We're all alike." Charlie says. "This is officially my second best date ever. My first is when Gilda joined me in LARPing."
"I have to admit that it was pretty kickass watching you slay all their soldiers, fairies, goblins, and minotaurs." She chuckled.
After they stopped laughing, Zeke mentions, "Yeah, it's like last week, Cas and I went to the park screening of the Godfather. He just loves it."
Dean frowns. "The Godfather? Cas, you've already seen that movie with me. You said that you didn't like it."
His best friend turns to him. "Uh…yeah, we did. I gave it a chance and I actually like it."
Before they can say anything, the waiter brought out their food. Most of the group starts taking a bite of their plates.
"Babe, you want a taste of my fajitas?" Zeke asks Castiel.
Instead of Cas answering the question, Dean answers, "Oh, no, Cas doesn't like fajitas."
Zeke shakes his head in confusion. "Come on. How can you not like fajitas?"
"He just doesn't." Dean tells him.
"Well…" Cas interrupted. "…I kinda wanna try it."
"But, Cas, you never liked it. You always hated them."
Cas simply shrugs his shoulders. "How do I know if I hate if I've never actually tried them?"
"They're actually really good, Cas," Jessica told him.
"See?" Zeke says. "Jess agrees with me. Just try it once. I know you'll love it."
"Cas, you don't have to if you don't want to," Dean warns him.
"Come on, Cas." Zeke interrupts them. "If you love me, then you would try them." Those words made Dean's blood boil.
Because of the suggestion, Cas shrugs his shoulders. "Okay, I guess I'll try it." Cas took a bite of the chicken fajitas. "Mm, it's really good. Something's on it that…I've never tasted bef—"
All of a sudden, Cas couldn't talk anymore.
"Hey, Cas, are you okay?" Sam asked him.
He couldn't speak or even breathe. Cas's throat begins swelling up cutting off his breathing. He stands up and starts coughing.
"Oh, my god," gasped Gilda. "He's choking!"
"Is there cinnamon in this?" Dean asked Ezekiel.
"Yeah, why?" Zeke responded.
"Cas is allergic to cinnamon. It makes his throat swell up and he can't breathe!"
Lisa quickly pulls out her phone. "I'll call 911," she says.
"Guys, I got this." Dean calms them down. He takes a small syringe out of his pocket and stabs it into Cas's thigh.
After being injected of medicine, Castiel slowly begins to breathe again. Finally, he sits back down and breathes, "Thank you, Dean."
"No problem, man," Dean said to his best friend.
Zeke bites in his lip in frustration. "Dean carries you epipen?" He asked Cas
"Yeah, just in case something happens," Cas tells him. "Why are you asking me like that?"
He shrugs his shoulders. "I just think it's a little weird that…I don't know that much about you. Apparently, Dean knows more about you than anyone else here."
"Whoa, whoa, whoa." Dean interrupts them. "What's that supposed to mean?"
"Don't you see it, man? You're trying to make me look bad because I don't know Castiel as much as you do."
"Hold on a damn second. Yes, Zeke, I happened to know a lot about Cas. The only reason I am doing this is because I know how you gays are."
Both Cas and Zeke looked at him. "How us gays are?" Zeke repeated.
At an awkward moment of silence, the waiter returns to the table and asks, "How's everybody doing tonight?"
"Very uncomfortable," Sam answered. "We're good."
As the waiter walks away, the argument between Dean and Zeke continues. "Tell me, Dean," Zeke says. "What exactly do you think of us gays? Feminine? Stylish? Theatrical hand gestures?"
"No, I know how territorial gays can be," Dean tells him off.
"You think I'm territorial over Castiel? You think that because I'm gay? Who in the living hell would tell you that?"
"Charlie." Dean admits to him. The redhead drops her fork on her plate while everybody at the table turns to her.
"Why would you tell him that?" Cas demanded from his friend.
"I'm sorry!" Charlie shrieks. "I didn't think he would take it seriously!"
"Well, Dean, you must be gay 'cause you're the only one being territorial over Cas!" Zeke exclaims.
"Hey, does anyone want dessert?" Jessica interrupts trying to calm them down.
They completely ignored her and the rest of their friends. "Oh, I'm being territorial?" Dean scoffs.
"It's obvious to all of us," Zeke points out. "You know what he hates, what he likes, and you carry his epipen! I'm surprised you haven't peed on him yet!"
"Okay, when you say for dogs, it's totally normal." Dean smirks. "When you say it like that, it just sounds really gross."
"Dean!" Lisa said under her breath.
"Cas, where the hell did you even find this guy?" Dean demanded.
"We met at Club Ekko," Zeke angrily answers.
"Oh, yeah, probably drunk and hitting on him, huh?" Dean scoffs.
"That is not what happened. I was taking him and Sam home after they had no money and Gabe was on ecstasy. That and Sam felt violated after Gabe kissed him."
Once he hears that, Sam spits his drinks back in his cup. "You kissed Gabe?!" His girlfriend shrieks.
"I didn't kiss him!" Sam explains. "He kissed me! That was the worst thing that has ever happened to me!"
Dean rolls his eyes. "You know what? I get it now. This is exactly why you didn't want me to meet him, Cas."
"What?" Zeke turns to his boyfriend. "Cas, you told me that you had been dying to introduce us."
"Cas, what the hell? You lied to the both of us."
"Why would you lie, Castiel?" Zeke questions him. "How come you didn't want me and Dean to know each other?"
He couldn't take it anymore. The secret inside finally bursts out. "Because Dean used to be my boyfriend!" He cries out.
Everybody in the restaurant stares at the table along with the group of friends. Castiel covered his opened mouth with his hand after saying what he has just said.
"Cas," Dean says his name.
Finally, he sighs, "Yes, that's why I didn't want you two to meet each other. Dean and I used to date. Dean, you apparently don't want me to have a boyfriend so I won't. You got what you wanted again! Like you always do!"
Castiel storms out of the restaurant with all eyes glued on him.
"Cas!" Dean was ready to chase after his best friend until Ezekiel stops him.
"Dude, just back off, okay," Zeke tells him. Instead of him, Zeke runs after Cas.
After an awkward moment of silence, Charlie asked them, "Lisa, Dean, if you guys need to talk, Gilda and I can take Jessica and Sam home if y'all want."
"Thanks, Charlie," said Lisa.
Outside of the restaurant, Cas ran out in the parking lot with his tears running down his face. He couldn't believe what he just said. The words that came out of his mouth may have ruined his friendship with Dean and his relationship with Zeke.
"Cas," a voice said his name.
Cas turns back to find Zeke standing there. "Oh, Zeke, I didn't…think that you would…be running…after me," he whimpers.
"Hey, hey, it's okay." Ezekiel whispers to him as he wipes his tears from his cheeks. "Castiel, I don't like seeing you cry."
"I'm sorry. It's just that…you know everything now. I knew that you would find out eventually."
"You're best friends with your ex-boyfriend?" Zeke asks him.
"Yes, it's true." He confessed. "We were best friends when I thought I was straight. Everybody thought we were gay and so we were faking it until I realized that I was in love with Dean…and it's really complicated, Zeke."
"Well it looks like he still hasn't moved on. Dean was really jealous."
"Zeke, he's my best friend in the entire world. I can't live without him. I just don't want my best friend and my boyfriend fighting over me every single day. It's gonna kill me!"
For a moment, Zeke stands there in silence. A smile forms on his face and he murmurs, "Boyfriend? You called me your boyfriend?"
"I-I did, didn't I?" Cas blushes. "I was gonna ask you that tonight until my friends came and ruin it."
"Well I happened to like them." Zeke says. "All except Dean."
"Look, Zeke, he will always be part of my life. If you don't wanna deal with him, then fine. Just don't ever make me choose between you two. I can't do that."
His new boyfriend sighs, "Okay, I'll do it. Only for you." Zeke wraps his arms around his neck and pulls him into a tight embrace.
"Thank you," Cas muffled as he buries his face in Zeke's shoulder. "Oh, you smell so good."
Zeke laughs and pulls back. "I'm the luckiest bastard ever to have you."
"I just hope that we stay together for a long time." Cas presses his soft lips against his new boyfriend's lips.
After their disaster date, Dean drove Lisa back to her house. Instead of kissing her good night, they sat in the impala in silence for a moment.
"You haven't said a word since we left the restaurant," Dean finally says. "Lisa, whatever you have to say, just say it."
"I have never seen you act like that," she admits to him. "The one question is…why?"
"Okay, I didn't mean for any of that to happen. I got a little carried away."
"A little? You basically ruined your entire friendship with Cas!" She raises her voice at him.
"Hey, I did not. I was just—" Dean tries to explain but Lisa cuts him off.
"Don't give me that bullshit, Dean! I know exactly what you were doing! You were being an asshole to Zeke!"
"So what if I was? I didn't like him one bit."
"Why, Dean? You didn't even know the guy. You just hate his guts because he's with Castiel!"
"That is not true!" Dean hollers at her.
"You were jealous, Dean!" Lisa yells. "You were jealous because Castiel had a boyfriend who is not you! It's obvious to all of us. I saw it, Charlie saw it, Sam saw it, even Cas saw it."
Dean bites his lip and stares at the driveway. An image of Cas smiling at Zeke and hugging him just made heart shatter into pieces. Everything that had happened tonight made his world crash down.
"Okay, maybe I do still have some leftover feelings for Cas," he confesses to his girlfriend. "I knew that he was going to move on eventually. I just didn't expect it to happen now. It wasn't like we were going to break up and wake up the next morning to fall in love with other people."
"Dean, I can see the pain in your eyes. The thought of Castiel loving another guy more than he loves you just kills you, doesn't it?"
Tears began to run down Dean's face. "It does. Cas was everything I wanted and needed. It breaks my heart every time I remember that he's with someone else."
"Dean, after all the shit you put him through, he deserves to be happy. Castiel is finally happy with Zeke and you better not ruin this for him. You understand me?" Lisa finally got out of the impala and walked into her house.
For a moment, Dean sat there and began to cry. He decides to turn on the radio.
I hope life treats you kind
And I hope you have all you've dreamed of
And I wish you joy and happiness
But above all this I wish you love
And I... will always love you
I will always love you
I will always love you
I will always love you
I will always love you
I will always love you.
