Author's Note: Three weeks left until December Six! And I think we all know what this is leading up to. Read, Review, Favorite and Enjoy!

Contrary to the roar of the arena, the room right now was almost deathly quiet, the only indication that she hadn't gone completely deaf was the constant tick of a clock on the far wall of the room. Atsuko was sitting next to the door watching her three comatose friends on the beds in front of her as the nurse replaced the flowers in the vase next to her. After the nurse had left it was only Atsuko alone with her friends again.

"Why did you do it? Why do this to yourselves?" Despite not receiving a answer from any of them, Atsuko continued to talk to herself while looking at them. "Was it worth it? Is any of this worth all the abuse and pain?" Still receiving no answer Atsuko just sighed while the Shadow Clone disappeared.

In the arena Atsuko had just finished absorbing the information from her Shadow Clone, her gloomy features told Masunu that he didn't want to know but he asked anyway.

"Any changes?" Masunu asked looking down at the shorter girl.

"One. Takishi's out too." Atsuko replied in a dull and miserable sounding tone.

As if the device sought to simply add to Atsuko's bad mood, the randomizer let out a soul crushing ding-ding.

"Inoue Yamanaka and Gomoi G!" The Judge announced reading the flat screen TV that served as the announcement board.

"Inoue." Before Atsuko could react to the news Masunu squeezed down hard on her shoulder rendering her unconscious. "If you make her cry again, I'm not going to be in a forgiving mood."

With that cold warning Inoue nodded his head in response before stepping into the arena.

"This is quite a upset isn't it? Konoha, the country that came into the competition with the most competitors has now suffered the heaviest loses. They went from having over half of the competition to being reduced to a number where I can count them with one hand." Masaharu stated holding up four fingers in the air.

"Well coming in with the largest number of competitors they would inevitably suffer the greatest losses. That said they still have the largest number of competitors left standing, although it's still too early to tell how long that will last." Mei explained as she gestured to the board, showing the two competitors. "But on with current events. Inoue is part of the infamous Ino-Shika-Cho Trio of Konoha which specializes in the use of telepathy based Genjutsu, which applies to both sensory and mind control." Mei explained with a smirk.

"What!? So you mean to say that he can just take control over his opponent and make them surrender!?" Masaharu asked with shock plastered all over his features.

"Yes that is the theoretical implication. Of course the matter is still ultimately up to the judge to decide. Of course there is a clause in place for just such cases of emergency where evidence turns up where one of the players were to cheat the judge can change his judgement. For example if Inoue was to take over the judge and make him declare him the winner then once the judge regains his senses he can reverse his earlier claim once a hearing concerning the matter is held." Mei explained waving her finger back and forth like a lecturer.

"Oh I see I see! What about Gomoi though?" Masaharu asked while he scratched his chin.

"Gomoi is another of the 'Fake Tails' in his case he holds a fragment of the eight tailed beast Gyuki. Not only that but he's also the direct protege to the eight Tails true host known under the moniker of 'Killer B.'" Mei explained while she smiled down at the competitors.

"Oh now that is interesting! Lets get this party started!" Masaharu stated now standing up.

"Let's review the ground rules. One no Sage mode or Fake Tails nonsense of any kind! Second no attacking the judge which is me! Third if in the event that either of you aren't able to compete anymore you may surrender, or if I determine that the match shouldn't go on. Do you understand and are you ready?" The Judge asked looking first at Gomoi.

"Ready, willing and able! Let's do this thing!" Gomoi stated while he cracked his knuckles and smirked at Inoue.

Inoue simply nodded his head, to which the judge just gave a 'good enough' type shrug.

"Ready? FIGHT!" As soon as the judge was out of the cross fire Gomoi spewed out a huge cloud of ink.

"This is the ink cloud technique taught directly to me by Killer B! But this part is all me! Ink Octopus!" With a wave of his arm a huge Asian dragon that looked like it was a ink drawing without any paper emerged from the ink cloud.

"Amazing Gomoi has created a ink dragon-wait. Didn't he say just 'Ink Octopus?'" Masaharu stated while he confusedly scratched his head.

On cue the dragon lifted it's tail out of the smoke, revealing what looked like a Octopus drawing from the ink, that was immediately crushed in the dragon's grasp.

"I see, so there's another user of the ink technique in the exams!" In response to Gomoi's joy Inoue walked out from the ink cloud, the dragon coming out from underneath the bandages around Inoue's waist. "Alright then! Let's have us some fun!" Suddenly, Gomoi looked up into the air and spat out another huge cloud of ink. "Ink Knife Storm!" Suddenly the cloud began to shrink down as it spat out a huge wave of ink blades against Inoue. Rather than trying to use it to defend himself Inoue recalled the ink dragon as the blades slammed into him. "So, you tapped into 'that' style eh?" Gomoi asked while he smirked at Inoue knowingly.

True to Gomoi's predictions, when the dust cloud cleared was was standing in Inoue's place was a young man dressed in a intricately crafted ink armor, every inch of it's surface covered in some kind of intricate design. The legs looked like they had two roaring tigers wrapped around them, the pelvic area looked like it had wings wrapped around it, the waist had the dragon from before wrapped around it, the chest looked like two giant metal arms crossed over it, the back had two over sized swords, the left arm had a frog, while the right had the intricate design of tentacles wrapped around it, and the helmet looked like a small dragon that was defensively wrapping it's wings around it.

"What is this? Ink Armor?" Masaharu looked on with just a face of confused befuddlement.

"I don't think so!" Suddenly Inoue's armor sank back into his skin, taking on the form of various Tattoo's. "Tattoo Style." Mei stated smirking at the uncommon fighting style. "Two ink users fighting each other is rare enough, but it seems that both of our competitors have tapped into unique sub categories as well."

"Just for those who have no idea what is going on here can you give some more details?" Masaharu asked looking exactly like the type of person he just described.

"Some individuals have theorized that utilizing the principal of the ink style, it is possible to attach the same ink type constructs directly to the skin. The Idea is to compensate for the Ink user's lack of close quarters offensive ability by simultaneously providing a set of armor and a series of customized offensive options. It's rarity is not from a lack of knowledge on the subject but rather do to people's general aversion to tattoo's. I know that boy's mother is going to want some words with him when he gets back home." Mei explained smirking knowingly down at Inoue.

"Wowsers! So what can Gomoi do?" Masaharu asked his excitement starting to build up again.

"As for Gomoi he seems to have developed the unique ability to create clouds of ink and form three dimensional drawings within it, a type of high speed drawing that works instantaneously on the fly if you will." Mei explained enjoying the role of a lecturer once more.

With the explanations behind their techniques done Inoue and Gomoi reengaged in their fight.

"Ink...!" Gomoi spat out another cloud of Ink into the arena. "EAGLES!" That ink suddenly transformed into a flock of birds that all came flying after Inoue.

Suddenly a set of feathery bird wings popped out of Inoue's sides as he took off into the air with the eagles giving chase after him. Inoue dismissed with wings and made his Iron arms and Blades pop out to cut down the birds before switching back to the wings.

"I see so he can only use one set of the tattoo's at a time, or that 'Tattoo Armor' from earlier. So all I gotta do is keep him on the defensive!"

As Gomoi thought that Inoue took out his drawing scroll and quickly scribbled out a ink Armadillo which he then unleashed against Gomoi like a gigantic boulder.

"Ink SWORD FISH!" With his next exhale Gomoi created a giant sword fish that skewered the armadillo.

At once Inoue fell to the ground and popped out both of the tigers transforming both of his lower legs into tigers. Using newly enhanced speed Inoue quickly closed this distance with Gomoi and began having the tigers swipe and bite at Gomoi.

"You aren't the only one who can take the high road! Ink: GIANT!" Spitting out his ink upwards Gomoi formed his largest cloud yet into a giant Warrior made out of Ink.

The slammed his fist into the ground where the two were fighting and separated them in the process. Gomoi was taken by the giant and brought to relative safety at the Giant's shoulder. With Gomoi out of the cross hairs the Giant proceeded to try to stomp on Inoue. Inoue, already one step ahead of the curve, popped out his giant dragon tattoo and proceeded to slither up the Giant's body, quickly getting into a wrestling match with the much stronger opponent. While the giant was preoccupied with the head Inoue used the dragon's tail to move himself up to the shoulder of the Giant before reabsorbing the giant snake like construct.

"Ink SWORD FISH SCHOOL!"

With another exhale of ink by Gomoi a barrage of razor sharp sword fish was spat out that Inoue hacked through with his ink swords. It quickly proved to be a ruse however when the giant reached over to slam down on Inoue with his hand. Inoue slashed through the giant's hand with his ink swords before trading them in for his ink wings and flying around the giant. What followed was a scene not unlike watching someone trying to swat at a fly that was bothering them as Inoue was flying around the giant and pelting him with ink drawings that he made up in his scroll on the spot. Finally the giant succeeded in slamming the palm of his hand into Inoue, the latter only surviving the feat thanks to his armor. That said so long as he was in the palm of the Giant's grasp he should take advantage, and thus sent his dragon out up the giant's arm and wrapped around it tightly biting down on the side of the giant. Without the use of it's other hand the giant could do nothing but watch as Inoue first twisted it's arm off followed up by ripping it's side out. Without the stabilizing ink providing the necessary support the entire Giant began to fall apart, and Gomoi falling off with him. Gomoi attempted to save himself from the fall using a ink bird only to be snatched up Inoue's ink Dragon and slammed into the ground, now covered in the inky remains of Gomoi's numerous other creations.

"HAHAHA! Guh! HAHAHAHA!" Gomoi's laughter was interrupted by the occasional grunt of pain as he got up on his feet. "Gotta admit. That was one of the best fights I've had for a while now! Seriously we need to start a 'Ninja Art Club' sometime after you get out of the hospital."

Everyone just shot Gomoi a confused looked, as Inoue was clearly in the lead in this fight. Then they all remembered what Gomoi had been doing the entire match, popping out Ink constructs from gigantic masses of raw ink.

"Ink Maiden!"

Suddenly a set of doors composed of ink and which loosely resembled a woman appeared behind Inoue and slammed shut on him. The numerous spiky protrusions sticking into Inoue's back told him that he was very fortunate to have donned his Tattoo armor and was now struggling to hold open the doors.

"Every move I made was just to sucker you into this!" Gomoi stated holding his hands together as a ball of ink formed in them. "Now you're gonna get out the hard way! INK JET STREAM!"

Immediately Gomoi fired the ink stream at Inoue slamming into his gut and forcing him to spit out the bile therein, before slamming him through his own ink death trap and finally into the far arena wall. The judge trudge through the muck to the wall where Inoue was sticking out of and checked on him.

"I officially declare Gomoi G the winner! Now clean up your damn mess!" The Judge barked glaring at Domoi angrily.

"But of course!" Suddenly Gomoi inhaled as he sucked up all of the ink that was on the ground, followed up by letting out a loud burp as if he had just finished a large meal.

On that note the Paramedics rushed into the arena and loaded Inoue onto a stretcher before hauling him off to the infirmary, passing by the rest area for Konoha Genin just as Atsuko woke up and seeing what had happened, a single tear fell from her eye.
